Very authentic and flavorful Chinese cuisine. GREAT VALUE. One of the best places for Chinese food in New Orleans. Definitely recommend the stir fried green beans, sizzling beef platter, sliced fish filet with wild hot peppers, China rose duck, dong po pork. Cannot recommend this place enough I wish I could give it more stars to be honest.

The food was more varied than your average Chinese restaurant. The selections from the Chinese menu were especially interesting. Each dish was unique and had more depth of flavor than your average Chinese restaurant. The dumplings, kung pao chicken and special duck were stand outs.

I’ve went to China Rose many times, and their Mapo Tofu never fails to impress—it’s so authentic and flavorful that it makes the versions at other Chinese restaurants taste like nothing more than tofu in chili bean paste. Ever since trying China Rose’s Mapo Tofu, I’ve started using this dish as my personal benchmark for judging the authenticity of Chinese cuisine. For anyone looking to experience truly authentic Chinese flavors, I highly recommend their Mapo Tofu, crispy fried pork intestine, and dry-fried string beans—all absolutely delicious.

All of the employees are so kind and patient with my whole family (3 generations). The food is absolutely amazing and we typically have enough to do lunch or dinner the next day. We did Christmas Eve this year and even though they had many to-go orders and the wait time was longer than normal for dine-in, all the employees worked very hard and efficiently.

The staff were very nice & efficient. They took care of a large round table (10), several booths of 2 & 3 and 15 take out orders while we were there. We were served quickly & almost all the takeout orders were ready as they came in. We ordered pork fried rice, tasty - chicken chop suey, lots of chicken - ginger beef, tender meat & crisp vegetables - sweet & sour pork, moist - hot tea & had leftovers for another meal. We don’t eat Chinese food often, but we usually go to the Rose Garden, when we do!

Had our annual Christmas Eve dinner here. We ordered the family meal for 2 with sweet and sour chicken, almond chicken, wonton soup, and pork fried rice. The food was very good, but the almond chicken was a bit bland. Service was excellent, considering the holiday. We've eaten at this restaurant since they were in their original location and will continue to eat here as long as they're open.

Lots of parking at this location, friendly staff. Best Chinese food in Puyallup. Only thing I’m not a fan of is how quiet it is. Service is great, food is awesome. Must try!

My wife and I were really wanting some Chinese-American food and Rose Garden did not disappoint. The atmosphere was a little different than expected (quiet classical music, which was relaxing but definitely unexpected), but the store itself had your typical lanterns and artwork you'd expect. Service was great and they took good care of my little one. She was being a little rambunctious, but they had her chocolate milk and food out quickly which helped her settle down. She got the kid's chicken nuggets, which she loved. And the food was great! I got the Dinner D plate, which came with soup, rice, General Tao's chicken , and Sweet and Sour chicken. Super delicious, very filling. I ended up taking a good chunk of it home. We also got an order of the crab wontons, which were divine. Highly recommend. They also have a really cool point system that gives you rewards based on how much you spend. Definitely a clever way to encourage repeat business! And we'll definitely be back because we loved it so much.

Probably the best place to get delicious and (somewhat) authentic Chinese food. The shrimp salt and pepper is a must try. It’s better to order family style rather than individual dishes here imo.

The food was excellent, the chow mein was very fresh. The egg rolls and Almond Chicken was really good. The server was great. I would give them 5 stars if they could add some extras, like some other Chinese restaurants have the Zodiac paper placemats and chop sticks on the table.

Food was good. We had the almond fried chicken and general tso chicken. The chow mein wasn’t that flavorful, I originally asked to substitute it with chop suey and I was told no. Ok We’re used to Seattle Chinese food. Unfortunately this place isn’t it. Tai Tung or Jade Garden in Seattle is delish!

The food really wasn't that bad its just some of it tasted dry even with the sauces. The chicken for each dish (sweet &sour and General's)was either over fried or sat all for too long. Honestly the egg rolls were the best part of the meal. Service was so so,but the atmosphere of the resturant was pretty decent.

First time trying this establishment. Nothing special... ordered lemon chicken. It's breaded, then sliced into strips. Some pieces were tender, some were dry. It was covered in a sticky sauce that was more sweet than lemony. For almost $20, I've had better food for less. Not returning

I ordered pick . Food is good ordering this simple. However, there rewards never work. Our last experience we didn’t get our rice but that’s my mistake for not checking. All in all, it’s a good small business that I will continue to support.

food is delicious but the waitress was horrible. bad attitude and she asks you about her tip…. so rude and unprofessional. she asked how much % we were going to tip and i said 15% and she said something about 20% (sorry i couldn’t really understand her) but i said ok and she put the tip as 20% not 15%. I’ve never had a waitress ask me how much i’m going to tip before, i don’t want to come back if she will be my waitress which is a shame because the food is good.

I went on a Saturday ordered the lunch special. They say it comes with shrimp fried rice what I got look like white rice with soy sauce and gummy shrimp on the side! No green onion no nothing!! My friends say I went on the wrong day" they say it's the best!!??". Might try again

Ordered for delivery on 8/25, Monday. The first time I've been disappointed in my food. Food was hot and I received what I ordered.. BBQ pork very dry and tasted old. Egg to young was just egg with very little veggies as described. Sweet and sour shrimp were overcooked and difficult to eat.. I have ordered Rose Garden many times before, and I'm sure I will order again. Hopefully just an off night for them.

Sadly, this was a very bad experience of having lo mein at China Rose. I ordered shrimp lo mein and as you all can see they had veins in it. I have never seen anyone serving shrimp with veins in it. I have not been to china so I don’t know how they serve it there but in US I guess people are serious about hygiene. Ever wondered what’s in those veins? It is actually the lower digestive tract of shrimp and if you know it is basically shrimp poop in simple words. I and my girlfriend just lost our appetite after looking at our food. I asked the server and she said “WE NEVER REMOVE THE VEIN”. She didn’t even let me finish what I was talking. I don’t call this a good customer service. I have read other reviews where people liked the service and I didn’t expect it from them. All I can say is they’re never seeing me again. Good LICK with that shrimp poop everyone!

I would give zero stars if I could. Place is very dirty and the food reflects that. We ordered the won ton soup and it tasted like dirty sink water and smelled horrible. Told them to cancel our entrees and they forced us to pay for them because they already started making them. Unbelievably rude and unprofessional. Don’t waste your money, you will get food poisoning.

The worst crab Rangoon I've ever had. The lo mein has no flavor. But the egg drop soup was ok. It was so hot in the restaurant, it was uncomfortable. The staff was nice enough though. Won't be back. Not worth the $45 I spent

I came here after searching for egg foo young in my area and found this resturant. When I walked in the lady literally was coming to greet me and when she saw I was black she turned and then came back I noticed this but still proceeded to order. My food was fine. Two days later I decided to try cantonese noodles and some egg rolls. My Egg rolls were soaked in oil to the point where you press them its just nothing but oil coming out my noodles were also greasy as well. The lady on the phone told me no problem just bring the food in and we will give you a refund. When I came in nobody greeted me the same lady from the first day kept avoiding me and taking people from behind me that other patrons noticed and put her on blast she still didnt care. Majority of their patrons are white older people 95% After letting me stand there for 10 minutes one of the ladies came to argue with me and tell me egg rolls are deep fried what do i expect and she could clearly see the excess oil. She took my food to the back and they told her to only refund the egg rolls but the noodles were no. She came back argued with me more and i told her she was disrespectful and i too paid for this food and deserved to be treated with respect and wanted to talk to her boss she would not go get him and kept making excuses. Then she called out private information of my debit card so that everyone in the line could hear. I only received 4.99 and not the tax associated with it. Very nasty racist establishment and they do not want black people dining in. I will be reporting this to Attorney General Racism is dead in 2026 Stop taking peoples money and giving them crap

I ordered veggie egg rolls and they were soaked in grease and not edible. They told me i can come with the food for refund and when i came they avoided me and treated me with so much racism and push back that the other customers noticed they let me stand there and took all the white people first nasty attitudes and service they told me their egg roles are deep fried so they are suppose to be greasy and tried to force me to keep the food Very racist establishment they treat white people like gold and cater to their needs but if your black they will serve you slop and make you take it they did not refund

Worst food ever I paid $85 for food that had absolutely no flavor the food was soggy egg rolls were soggy and why is there tomato and tofu in my egg drop soup…I actually dropped the beef and garlic sauce on the ground after the first bite which was gross and my dog didn’t even want to eat it! I will be bringing this back and asking for my money back!

A 2 is generous Moody! After a 2nd try with this establishment to be fair, it was WORSE. Ordered the Almond Chicken since it was OK last time. Dry as heck! 1/4" inch thick thick and crispy as heck. NOT EDIBLE! Who do these people think they are charging what they do and producing CRAP! Photo from 2 inches away. INITIAL REVIEW: Moo Goo Gail Pan tasted OK but tinyportion for $18. Almond Chicken was OK. Now, what would be expected in Chicken Chow Mein? Yeah, CHICKEN! TWO tiny pieces no larger than my pinky tip. Basically, all I received was noodles. Safeway serves better than this in their deli. No wonder the place was empty at around 5 PM on Friday. For over $50, go somewhere else.
