We were the only diners when we came at lunch time and we only ordered the lunch hibachi options but we still very much appreciated the enthusiasm and energy the hibachi chef exhibited for us. My young son definitely enjoyed it and the "baby sake"! Food was delicious as well.

We really enjoyed the hibachi and that’s with it being delivered. I’m usually weary of ordering hibachi because I feel like it just doesn’t taste the same, but this was delicious and great portion size is great as well. Everything was packed great and the delivery was very fast. We will definitely be ordering from here again and can’t wait til the pandemic is over to dine in as well.

I passed through Staten Island on my way back from Atlantic City and came across this Hibachi spot with my family. We decided to give it a try since the vote for Hibachi food was unanimous. It was an unforgettable food journey. Almost all of us got meat and poultry options. Everything was cooked to perfection, And our chef was very accommodating and funny. Bonus, We got DELICIOUS ice cream included in our meal after we finished our entrees! Would most definitely make this a go to Hibachi spot in Staten Island.

The signature rolls with brown rice consistently good quality, especially the hot mama and other raw fish ones, the prices are reasonable. Edamame and aged tofu are also good. Delivery is convenient and the staff is always friendly.

Oh my gosh 5 stars aren't enough to truly appreciate this food. At first when my wife asked to go to this spot i was skeptical since i never enjoyed asian food but i reluctantly agreed (That was the best decision i've ever made). When i entered there was an extremely nice young man who kindly walk us to our table shortly after an amazing kindhearted woman came with plates and water for us (God bless her soul she was a saint). When the menu came out i was impressed by the variety of options they had and the photos of the food looked amazing. We ordered the Godzilla roll and it was... breathtaking no like literally i almost choked. It was so good i wanted to keep stuffing it in my mouth but learned my lesson. Overall it was a very lunch restaurant. Very Clean good pricing and friendly staff

A five-star review does not accurately reflect my experience at the restaurant. The food seems to be crafted for a species more advanced than us humans. The service is exceptional compared to other subpar restaurants. And let's not even start talking about their sushi. It was extraordinary, remarkable, and phenomenal. It felt like the ocean was in my mouth, as if Mother Nature was trying to convey a message. It was truly a rare experience that people should cherish for life.

This was our first time ordering from this restaurant & i just have to say WOW! First off the delivery man is such a sweetheart. He’s so respectful & very kind. He called when he was outside & delivered our food super fast. You know what they say.. a restaurants food is only as good as their service & we were NOT disappointed. Just had dinner here for the first time after driving by so many times and wanting to go. The food was delicious!! The sushi was so good and the fish was very fresh!! The appetizers we had were a huge hit! My fiancé and his cousin both did hibachi steak and shrimp and were impressed!! The staff is very attentive and friendly, she made sure we had everything we needed the whole time! I came home and told my neighbor about this place and now she’s going this upcoming week! Went there in August with a group of 8 and had a blast. Our table was ready when we arrived. While they were a bit busy on a Saturday night we had appetizers and drinks until the hibachi show started. Kids loved it. Adults loved it. We went back in October with another party of 8 and the experience was equally awesome. We will be adding this to our "regular" restaurant list!

My husband and I had dinner on the New Year's Eve at the Japanese restaurant on Richmond Rd. Staten Island. This is the first time we ate there. We ordered a Salmon Teriyaki and chicken Teriyaki. Both dishes came on sizzling hot plates. They were so delicious, esp. the salmon. Had a numerous salmon at other places before, but nothing compared to this one. It is really authentic Japanese style.The meal came with salad, miso soup & salad. The whole dinner only cost $40 and change. Just can't believe it. Highly recommend it!

One of my favorite sushi restaurants. My have many different rolls to choose from. I tried the shrimp tempura roll and it tasted so good and fresh! I wasn’t able to dine in but the atmosphere here seems so nice and relaxing. The staff is busy but they work fast to get the orders out. I would recommend.

Best sushi on the island! Hibachi is great as well but their sushi is always so fresh and delicious. Some really unique rolls on the menu but my fav is the louise roll! Also had the Alaska roll and asked them to fry it for me which cost 3$ extra but so worth it! A bit pricier than other places but you get what you pay for.

We got the omakase dinner tray for 2. It’s actually only on the takeout menu on their website, but they had no problem serving it at the restaurant when we asked. The fish was very good. I wouldn’t rank it as high as your typical omakase grade pieces, but it’s not too far below. Definitely worth it for under $90 for this whole tray plus soup and salad.

I went to the hibachi and got the filet mignon. The meat was really tender and juicy. Plenty of good and it was filling. The chef did a great job keeping us entertained. I can't comment as much on the atmosphere. We went during lunch on Sunday so it was more quiet.

A real diamond in the rough. The food was amazing and our chef was really funny. I was looking for other habatchi places vs the norm I go to. Im glad I found this place. 20 min into Staten Island from NJ, so it wasnt a bad ride at all. Clean, hospitable and there is parking . The food was seasoned well and the salad was phenomenal. They handled ppl like me with allergens well. That's always a plus. Service was fast, she did forget an item so it had to be cooked in the back. But other than that, my experience deserves another round.

I have only had take out from this restaurant. It was good. We had hibachi dishes. The filet was great and the sauce they put over it is yummy. The fried rice was good, but it could’ve used more garlic. A bit pricey, but overall a good meal. If I’m ever in the mood for hibachi I would order from here again.

We came to celebrate our 45 anniversary After we ate, we paid and left around 20% tip for the waitress. She was so upset that she didn’t say a word to us. We left in pretty bad mood. I don’t understand, maybe that tip wasn’t enough ? I think that the tip supposed to be completely up to the customer, and the customer service should better.

Service was attentive and cordial without being overbearing. The atmosphere is nice and the tables were full when I went but luckily not too loud. I understand they have hibachi but did not try that. Spacious interior with the options of both hibachi and regular dining. Parking can be tough since I only saw street parking unless I missed something. They have an excellent lunch deal where I got 3 basic rolls for $12. Not the best sushi I had and most weren’t rolled great. The sushi fell apart but the quality of the fish was good. The rock shrimp appetizer was ok and I did like the crispy texture. Sometimes if rock shrimp is drowned in sauce it gets soggy. The steamed shumai also were not great. Very bland. Probably not the first spot I would go back to for sushi. Didn’t try the hibachi but no one has ever had a bad time at hibachi. 3 stars.

Crunchy sushi is not crunchy. Fried rice is just ok. you do not need to go out of your way to come here, you're not missing anything.

I guess depending on how you like your sushi rice. But there was barely any of it. Just a reminder to check your receipt if you are getting the 1/2 off appetizers for Wednesday and Thursday. They sometimes forget to take it off.

This place was just ok. We got the chicke n and steak hibachi and rock shrimp and crispy spicy tuna. The crispy spicy tuna was really good! Everything else was just fine. The rock shrimp didnt have much sauce and was kind of like funnel cake. The hibachi was all ok but ive had much better. Also the chef felt very rushed, like super efficient and quick only doing the tricks because they know hibachi does that. Interestingly they gave us like 2 chicken per order which was a lot but not actually very good

Food was great but treated very rudely by the waitress tonight. As a consumer it is very disappointed experience. She kept pushing us to order more food even we had ordered enough. Not sure we will return to this restaurant again if customer service stays like this low grade

The portion sizes were tiny, the chirashi that I recieved looked nothing like the ones in the customer review photos, missing a lot of ingredients and was tiny in comparison, for $25 you get a bite sized portion of sashimi, cut into tiny pieces with missing ingredients. the takoyaki is an oversized lump of bland dough with a tiny piece of octopus in it that you would easily miss if you didn't know what you were eating. On the other hand, their miso soup was okay, and the presentation was good. The fish was also fresh, but it was absolutely not worth the price I paid, and I am overall dissatisfied and disappointed.

The food was amazing but like others have said the chef looked a little rushed with the tricks and show. The service on the other hand was downright horrible due to the actions of one server who was tossing things around when giving us things like chopsticks, appetizers and plates. Furthermore when my card declined for security purposes ( I’m never worried about my card declining due to inefficient funds because I am very stable money wise) I logged into my bank account to see the issue and this server literally almost pushed into me and stared into my phone and account information( I have thousands of dollars) so it was very unappreciated and unprofessional hence the low tip amount.

Thoroughly disappointed. Made my reservation for my group of 11 for Friday 4/1/22 on TUESDAY 3/29. Got my confirmation email. Called 2 hours before to CONFIRM my reservation VERBALLY and was told all is good Get there with my group at 6:55, was told we will be seated shortly while they clean up a table that a party just left. Fast forward to 7:15another LARGE group was seated before us and we were left to sit on our hands due to employees confusion and instead of coming up to someone in our group and letting us know there was a mix up it was all whispers. Would have loved to eat here too.

Ordered delivery. Arrived quickly, but unfortunately there was a small bug in the salad and a hair in the rice.

Unfortunately the worst food we ever ate at this type of restaurant. Very very salty main course, the roll was very small for a premium price and service was very poor. We sat outside and had to wait for waitress for the longest as they were busy inside. Also, they don't care for you outside as we had to be around loose kids running all over the place and making crazy noise (no one cared..) Would NOT recommend!

I made a mistake of choosing this restaurant to celebrate my daughter‘s 14th birthday. While the food is decent, the service is horrific. I made reservations for 8 people ahead of time and brought cake. The moment we walked into the restaurant, I felt very negative vibes. The staff does not smile, not polite, our waitress was very abrupt, cold, indifferent and just not what you would expect at a place like this, especially when we are there for a celebration. Every time someone would order something like an extra drink, or an appetizer, she would get annoyed. The hibachi chef was very low energy, it seemed like he didn’t really want to be there. When it was time to bring out the cake, the waitress brought out the cake with a candle, placed it in front of my daughter and walked away. Nobody sang happy birthday like they usually do at hibachi restaurants, no acknowledgment of the reason we’re there, nothing special was done. Our group just sang happy birthday to my daughter and that was it. The next time I saw our waitress was when she came by and slammed the bill down in front of my face. It felt very rushed, like they wanted us out of the restaurant. At that point, we were only there for an hour and a half, and the restaurant was half full. What’s the rush?! If you’re trying to make someone feel special and celebrate them, please do yourself a favor and don’t come here. This is not the right establishment. With so many choices of restaurants on the island, this one completely failed our expectations. What’s even more disturbing was they added 20% gratuity charge to the bill. I would have given it anyway, but at least provide good service to match automatic gratuity. Very disappointing. We will not be returning.

Stay away from this place and save your money! The food is mediocre and the service just as terrible. The restaurant was empty and it took 20 minutes to get our drinks because the bartender was too busy talking to the hostess. The same issue took place when my gf ordered her second drink. This time the drink was left on the bar and the server just walked by it. I waited 10 minutes to the point i had to get the drink and deliver it to my gf myself. Then the bartender (possibly the owner) came by and we explained the situation. She didn’t seem to care and apologized. I figured at this point we get the check and leave. Not sure why i was thinking this but I figured she would take at least one drink off, but unfortunately no. Walked out there very disappointed. Not sure if they were having an off day, but I can assure you that i will never be return.
