We loved our dinner here! Service was outstanding! Their new guava mezcal cocktail was so delicious. The food was superb. We ordered steak fajitas (not pictured), carnitas, queso fundido with chorizo, and a delicious butter cake with ice cream. We are very happy we came here. Will be back.
Came through to the spot for lunch having been to the other Tempo location, we figured we’d give this one a shot. We really dug the decor inside and had our eyes wandering the entire time inside from when we first stepped foot inside. It has a really cool Mexican/Japanese vibe to it and everything flows together well. The food was a bit on the pricier side for this type of fare, but it was worth it. All the items that were recommended by the waiter and bartender were worth it. The Pulpo was especially yum.
The establishment offers a delightful culinary experience, featuring Japanese-infused Mexican cuisine characterized by its vibrant and robust flavors. Our prearranged reservation ensured prompt seating upon our arrival. The attentive staff provided excellent service, assisting us in selecting our meal. The dishes presented were fresh and exceptionally flavorful. The overall ambiance of the restaurant is notably pleasant and inviting. We anticipate returning for future dining experiences.
I have never been at a restaurant with a fusion of Mexican and Japanese fusion. The decor and the art all over the walls are awesome. Our server Alua was nice, attentive, and helpful. For appetizers we had the queso fundido and the pork belly bites ans they don't dissapoint. For my drink I had an old fashioned from the happy hour menu. And for dinner, I had the bone-in carnitas chamorro, with tortillas and guacamole. The meat literally fell off the bone and the sauce on top was spicy but full of flavor. I will come back.
Geisha Tempo has opened in Downtown Brea. A fusion of Japanese and Latin flavors. Premium steakhouse cuts, fresh seafood, sushi and unforgettable flavors! Bites of irresistible perfection!! The decor and murals are gorgeous!! The outside patio is vibrant and fun!! Great place for date night, girls night out and private celebrations!! It has a trendy & lively vibe! They have a full bar, fun cocktails, mocktails and a Tequila Tasting Room. Happy Hour All Day ➡️ Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday. Wonderful customer service from Ramses Ramirez and Joe! We tried: PORK BELLY BITES SPICY TUNA CRISPY RICE SASHIMI HAMACHI GRILLED PINEAPPLE STUFFED WITH SHRIMP, OCTOPUS, AND SCALLOPS BUTTER CAKE LYCHEE MARTINI LA REINA CUCUMBER MOCKTAIL It’s an absolute gem in Brea!!
I recently visited Tempo and had a great overall experience. Starting with the food, I tried the ceviche, which had good flavor, though I’ve had slightly fresher versions elsewhere. The guacamole and chips were top. The chips had a flavor of lime and chili. That said, the portion sizes were generous, which made the meal satisfying and well-balanced. One of the best parts of the visit was taking advantage of their happy hour—they had a solid selection of food and drink options at great prices, making it an excellent value. Our server, Jasmine, really stood out. She was incredibly attentive, friendly, and made us feel genuinely cared for throughout the evening. She also offered thoughtful recommendations, sharing her personal favorites from the menu, which added a nice personal touch to the experience. The ambiance of Tempo is another highlight. The interior is beautifully designed, with artwork that showcases a unique blend of Japanese and Latin culture, making the space feel both vibrant and inviting. All in all, Tempo is worth a visit—and I’d definitely go back.
Absolutely incredible!! Cocktails are carefully crafted, variety of menu items, attentive and friendly staff, plus a cool atmosphere with great music. New date night place!! We tried several items including the sashimi, king sushi, ribeye tacos with chimichurri, and spicy noodles with shrimp. Everything was delicious! Cocktails were all EXCEPTIONAL!! I tried the Lychee martini, pogu daiquiri, and carajillo. My husband enjoyed the Mai tai, shizo old fashioned (with grapefruit bitters and Japanese whiskey *chefs kiss*) and original old fashioned. Amazing service by our server Diego, who was incredibly knowledgeable about the menu and provided excellent drink and food recommendations! Highly recommend!!
Food is was great ! Service amazing. Everyone was very nice and friendly love the vibes . Our waiter Martell was amazing . Great service! Highly recommend.
Honestly one of the best Happy hours Ive ever been. Lots of flavor!. Affordable and quick service... Will be back for sure
Diego and Jessie and Joe went above and beyond to make sure our food & drinks were excellent on Saturday night! They definitely work together as a team, only reason why , I’m going to be returning to this location, often and I’m going to tell my friends and family about it too! Amazing atmosphere, and an amazing team! Their sushi was delicious as well got the geisha roll and the ceviche roll! 6 Stars
An unforgettable dining experience! Mr. Tempo Geisha is a must-visit in Brea! The fusion of Japanese and Latin flavors is bold and delicious. The carnitas on the bone? Bomb! The staff is friendly and attentive, making the whole experience even better. The manager Joe came to our table and talked to us and gave us free shots. The ambiance is stylish and lively. If you want great food, great service, and great vibes, this is the spot! Highly recommended!

The food and drinks were great, and the location is perfect for a night out—lively, accessible, and well-suited for socializing. While the menu features both Mexican and Japanese dishes, I wouldn’t describe it as fusion cuisine, since the offerings are presented separately rather than creatively blended. Still, everything I tried was fresh and flavorful. I had enchiladas suizas and a tamarindo smokey margarita.
Amazing customer service and amazing food, put the volume up for the ufc fight before our comedy show we’re seeing. Food is inexpensive as well. Very good spot for some grub and beers
Came to this location for the first time. Loved the vibe and the atmosphere here. Perfect to come with friends or on a date. Drinks were on point and the food was alright. Music was at a perfect level and smooth. Definitely recommend to give this place a try.
This is a such beautiful Mexican restaurant & bar, with a fusion of Japanese cuisine, colorful paint ing with warm lighting, especially the paper cranes at the entrance, so romantic. The food is mostly seafood, very fresh with high quality. The service is great too, but super slow. We waited almost 1 hour then got the first dish, kids were already starving by then. But the restaurant wasn’t particularly busy at the time. The cocktails are quite unique — I ordered the “LA Toxic,” which had a strong smoky flavor that was special. If you enjoy beautiful surroundings and don’t mind a long wait, this is a really good restaurant to try. It’s well-suited for families, gatherings with friends. They even have a private area for VIP, good for business or parties.
We had been waiting for this spot to open since we heard it was connected to the other Tempo near Brea Mall. I’m pretty sure it is, but this one leans way more into sushi and seafood. Honestly, it feels like there’s a little bit of everything here. Our family went all in and ordered cheeseburger fries, asada tacos, a sushi roll, plus a margarita and a lychee martini. Safe to say, everyone found something they liked. The vibe inside is fresh and lively. Everything looks new, clean, and thoughtfully put together. The staff was super friendly and checked on us often without being overbearing. I’d say this place works whether you’re bringing the family or just grabbing drinks at the bar. Definitely worth checking out.
I took my fiends from SD to eat dinner here! We all have been impressed by the creative interior! The wall paintings, the tree and all the other cool things! Most importantly: the food is amazing! Very flavorful, just right in spices and very much filling than expected! Just the service could’ve been more motivating and caring.

They only had 2 servers at lunch time. Food was ok. This place has so much potential due to the location.

This was our 2nd visit to Geisha and it was much like the first visit. The restaurant was almost empty and after we were seated we noticed the table was lacking napkins and flat ware as well as enough water glasses. Once seated it took at least 10 minutes before I finally asked if they could fill our glasses and added the additional napkins and flat ware. The food we ordered was good and that was the best part of the night. For such a nice looking place you would think ownership would make sure the service would be better. Maybe that is why hardly anyone was there.

eating shake shack from across the street instead. Ordered two drinks and an appetizer and I’m glad they didn’t take our main order just yet. Pork belly bites were insanely dry. I didn’t have the nerve to ask them to remove it but being one of 3 parties there it was still really slow. I don’t know how this place was conceived will a lot invested in the visuals but 0 to back it up with service or food quality. I just feel sorry for them at a certain point.

Our server was sweet. It was about an almost 40 minute wait from the time we ordered until we got our food. There were only 2 other groups eating at that time, so not busy at all. I had 3 different temperatures on my plate and was served the greasiest tortillas I have ever seen. The servers face said it all when he picked up the plate of "wet" tortillas. The food was less than mediocre, nothing special. The ambiance was great, but that is about it. The server comped a soda at the very end of the meal because he forgot to bring it during our meal. We will NOT return!!!! This place is overrated!!!
I would like to share my disappointment regarding my recent experience at your Geisha location on Valentine’s Day. For the past six years, I have been a loyal customer and have regularly taken my wife to your restaurants for special occasions. We have visited multiple locations, including Downey, Brea, Hollywood, and Montebello, and have consistently received quality service, food, and overall experience. Unfortunately, our visit to the Geisha location was extremely disappointing. After driving 30 minutes specifically to experience this location, we were not informed until we were already seated that the only dining option available was a $150 per person fixed menu, excluding drinks. This information was not clearly disclosed prior to being seated. Had we been properly informed in advance, we would have reconsidered dining there. The fixed menu was significantly below the standard of your regular menu offerings. The food quality and selection did not justify the premium price. Additionally, the two mojitos we ordered were watered down and poorly prepared. Our total bill came to $256 for the fixed menu dinner, two drinks, one sushi roll, and $36 in gratuity. The overall experience did not reflect the value expected from your brand and fell far below the standard we have become accustomed to over the years. This was meant to be a special Valentine’s celebration, and instead, it turned into a frustrating and disappointing experience. A total scam!
