Mi Casa Mexican Restaurant

I tried the Elk tacos highly recommend. The Elk just taste like steak to me. Well worth the try! The Birra tacos was delicious and better than the steak tacos in my husband's opinion. The rice and both bean varieties were less than desirable in our opinion. The drinks were delicious. Atmosphere was gorgeous! Waitress was helpful and sweet.

We are visiting Colorado to ski and wanted to try new places to eat and found this place that was hidden. The food and drinks are amazing. The staff were very nice and friendly with helping us. Highly recommend stopping by for dinner.

I really enjoyed this Mexican restaurant! I got the chicken chimichanga and it was really good. It was crunchy and they pack it with a lot of chicken. The portion size was large, so I’m thankful that the price point was worth it since I had leftovers for dinner. I enjoyed their complimentary chips and salsa. Definitely a fan for their green medium spiced salsa, highly recommended! The staff really great and I had the best waitress. Customer service is always a big plus for me! I would could back again when I visit Breckinridge.

The food is great! Service has been awesome! Very helpful since we are new to the area. Sit by the windows and enjoy the view of the water and scenery.

The food here was great, but the portions were quite small. we came with a pretty large group but the service was amazing and wait time was basically instant! I loved the chile Colorado!

I took a trip to a beautiful place, Breckenridge, Colorado, snow day and found a good Mexican Restaurant that was delicious and authentic. The restaurant was super busy though the service was quick. They do not accept reservations. I ordered their queso, shrimp tacos, duck carnitas, chicken tamales, and mi casa chicken burrito. The tamales and burritos were super delicious, .but disappointed with the shrimp tacos and duck carnitas. I also had their Tres leches cake which was super yummy and tasty. The ambiance was super, Stunning views out the window with, a good atmosphere, and a great river view. But I could not c the river as it was covered with snow 😶. However, I enjoyed the scenery of snowfall with beautiful Christmas lights.

A must see for your Breckenridge visit! Great food, great atmosphere, mostly great service. Good for families and groups. The only downside can be the wait for a table, so reservations are recommended. It can be a bit loud when busy. Enjoy!

This was my grandpa's favorite restaurant. I went here and toasted him over his favorite meal, the mango duck quesadilla. You have to know how to cook duck well or it's greasy and Mi Casa is good at it. All the food and dips are delicious and the tres leches is a must. This place is sentimental to me, and I'm glad it does such a good job every time I come.

Delicious Mexican food. All 4 of us got different dishes and everyone loved their choices. The loaded queso was perfection. Chile relleno is my go to and this one is in my top 2 ever. The elotes is also an incredible choice. The rice is good. The margaritas are flavorful and strong.

Good happy hour deals! The mushroom tacos and the guac/queso and chips were both delicious (especially loved their chips, they were unique in a very good way). Nice spot too right by a nice lake and Main Street. Service was very fast and there were tons of seating available.

Some of the best Mexican food I’ve ever had! Drinks are strong, food is amazing! Honestly not horribly priced for the quality of food! All the servers are amazing too! Gray, the bartender is personable and the reason why I made a 2nd visit in one trip

We went to Mi Casa for a girls night dinner and had an unexpected amazing night! We sat at the Bar and had a lovely time speaking with Jazlyn the bartender. She was extremely attentive while also being friendly and professional. I ordered the chicken tinga tacos and was thoroughly impress by how delicious they were. Would highly recommend Mi Casa and Jazlyn for her impeccable service!

I absolutely loved the atmosphere. It was warm, welcoming, and perfect for a great night out. The wait staff were attentive and friendly, which really elevated the experience. We were lucky to have Jaz as our server, and she was fantastic, knowledgeable, personable, and made sure everything was perfect. Definitely looking forward to coming back!

The food here was great! We had the loaded queso with hamburger meat - yum! I had the taco salad with chicken tinga (shredded). Everything was good and the service was great! Ask for a seat with a view - they have a very pretty view of the water.

Found my new go-to. The food at Mi Casa is legit, and Gracie is hands-down one of the best servers around—super chill and on top of everything. Also, believe the hype: it’s the best salsa in town. Perfect spot to fuel up after a day out.

I catered from Mi Casa for a surprise 60th day birthday party. The food was excellent, and they accommodated a vegan guest. The vegetarian fajitas were surprisingly good - among the best I have ever had. The only downside was having to pick up the food early (before 5 pm) because of the holiday (presidents day weekend and valentines day) but the food was well-packaged and remained warm until we could get it into the oven. Liz (the director of events) was easy to communicate with and was very responsive.

Delicious margaritas and food! This is more authentic style Mexican food with street tacos served on fresh corn tortillas. The chips and salsa were self serve but also very good. There was seating for two people without a wait at the time but it picked up as the night went on. Happy hour is only in the bar and please be kind to the workers. They are doing their absolute best, they can't control the weather. Will definitely be back here for the great service, dairy free accommodation, and the bartenders kicking butt with rolling out good drinks! Larger groups will likely have some trouble during peak season unless they have a reservation to help the staff prepare.

High quality (typical) Mexican food. Multiple spice level salsa options were appreciated. Very nice atmosphere overlooking the pond with the paddle-boat. Not overly expensive given the location. I do recommend making a reservation if you’re willing to eat outside the typical 5-8pm dinner rush. Able to park in the limited spots right outside the front door - very convenient!

We had a party if 17 on a Friday night. Reservations were accepted and we were seated at our requested time. One server handled our large party with ease. Margarita special was delicious. Wide variety of Mexican classics as well as some unique twists. Very good.

Gray and Jazz were absolutely fantastic bartenders. Super friendly, professional, and clearly experienced—they kept the drinks flowing smoothly and the vibe upbeat all night. They were great with guests, handled a busy crowd effortlessly, and made excellent cocktails. You can tell they genuinely care about what they do. Would 100% recommend them for any event and would be happy to have them bartend again.

We came for the elk tacos and they were divine! I was impressed by the variety of culinary tacos, between my husband and I we tried 4 of the tacos and all were delicious! I highly recommend the elk and steak tacos as those were our favorites! The sweet salsa was also fantastic! Beware the spicy salsa unless you are a spice connoisseur and ready for a kick. Definitely put this this on your list of restaurants to try while visiting!

We were there with 12 girls for a bachelorette! We were considered a “semi-private event” and they put us at table that was more private, it was great! Server was amazing, food and drinks were tasty :)

Incredible atmosphere…lively but calm enough to talk to your table. Jasmine and dj were awesome at the bar, the service was impressive and fast. The food was awesome, as always. Definitely will be back!

A fairly large Mexican restaurant. The food was good. The menu is extensive and atmosphere is quite stylish. Although the staff serving our table was attentive at first, after we finished eating they took on an attitude that made us feel rushed to leave. In a place like Breckenridge, that was the only unpleasant part; everything else was good.

We stopped in while we were in Breckenridge, and our family all liked what they got. I got the steak fajitas, and the meat was tender and flavorful. My wife got the Elk tacos, and they were great as well. If you are looking for a unique Mexican restaurant with unique food options, this is the place for you.

The food was good. I had the sour cream enchiladas and it was pretty good. The chicken inside could have had a little bit more flavor. The beans were great. The rice had peas in it so I did not eat it. Service was great as was the atmosphere. FYI they do add a 3% fee for kitchen staff.

Wonderful location! Walking distance from our condo and to most places downtown (depending on how far you are willing to walk). We actually went twice during our 4 night stay and ordered the same thing both times!! The chicken fajitas were amazing! Not greasy AT all like many fajitas can be, and the poblano peppers thinly sliced on the side were SO good! Chips and both salsas were great, but I prefer chips that aren't so thick. Husband ordered the chicken chimichanga and he loved it! The rice that comes on the side and the charro beans were also amazing! We loved it! Service was better the first visit and on the 2nd visit they were busier and service was slower but still good. If they had extra people to pre-bus tables and offer water that would really help out the servers and make the service better. That seems to be an issue with a lot of the reviews. This is a shame, because the food really is great!

This spot was pretty good! I ordered the shrimp fajita and had a Strawberry Rhubarb margarita. Definitely worth stopping in! Nobody had any complaints.

Super yummy Mexican food. We've been going there for years. Red snapper tacos and one of the yummiest taco salads ever. Attentive staff and no seating issues on a Sunday night. The menu has gotten smaller, but better! A dining staple in Breck.

Service is a bit lacking and the food is decent. It seems like they are overwhelmed with the number of guests. The food as well is ok at best so don’t expect great Mexican food. It does get packed and lines can be long during peak times

Great location in Breckenridge with amazing ambiance. Very nice service and a great atmosphere. The drinks were nice. We are vegetarian and didn’t much care for our favorite dish here. Cheese and onion enchiladas! I must say the nice presentation of the dish with a special touch of raw onion on the top was nice. There was no yummy green sauce or the abundance of three cheeses that we like in this dish. Hardly one or two bell peppers and an inundation of corn. The black beans, three salsas, guacamole, corn chips and flour chips were fresh and tasty 😋

Had a good experience there, the appetizers were great, the cocktails right on point. The only dish that was a bit disappointing was the elk fajita. First of all , I love elk or venison. And I love fajitas. This was the smallest, most simple fajita I ever ate. Elk is rare ,it deserves a bit more imagination, didn't even have any condiments on it.

Great food - very tasty and able to accommodate special requests. So rare to find a Mexican place that does crispy tacos for kids. Servings were a little on the small size (my chicken tinga bowl). Elote was really tasty. LJ was a fabulous server. No wait time - arrived around 6pm.

Just a overpriced mid Mexican restaurant, definitely had better at other places, but not surprised its Calarado they have no food culture here.

I’d like to express my frustrations against the management of this restaurant. Our service was great. Our server was so attentive and wonderful and we were here for a work dinner and my husband set up to make a cheer and the management never wants to stop by to ask how we were doing or how our food wise, but she came over to crawl out of her office and tell us to be quiet. It was a quarter full restaurant. Coming from 40+ years of owning an operating restaurants I find this so wildly disrespectful that she never asked us how our meal was nor did. She express her gratitude for the $4000 that we just found this And for that, I will never return please fire this woman

The food made me feel really sad the shrimp tacos I got were really wet and the tortillas were hard at the top in all wasn't too bad but the beans and rice were terrible I only touched them twice before giving up it looks like it was heated in a microwave and they tasted bad wouldn't recommend if you have had a long day of snowboarding. The waiter was the best

We came in for lunch as a group of three families (6 adults and 4 kids), and unfortunately, our experience started off on the wrong foot. The host was rude and dismissive from the beginning. Despite the restaurant being nearly empty, they said they couldn’t accommodate us at one table and instead split us into two separate ones—not ideal for a family outing. When we asked to split the check by family (just three tabs), we were told it wasn’t possible because we “didn’t have three tables.” That made no sense and felt like an excuse rather than an actual policy. The only saving grace was our waitress, who was kind and helpful, and the food itself, which was actually quite good. But the way we were treated by the host left a bad taste and definitely ruined what should have been a simple family lunch. Won’t be coming back.

I enjoyed the food and atmosphere, but I had an issue at the bar. I paid in cash and later realized I was overcharged by $8 due to a miscount. When I went back and politely brought it up to the bartender, she denied it instead of trying to resolve the issue. The amount wasn’t huge, but the way it was handled left a bad impression. I hope management addresses this so it doesn’t happen to others.

As a vegetarian this place is not for you unfortunately. We ordered cauliflower tacos and vegetarian enchiladas alongside some mocktails. Tacos were basic. Enchiladas were literally filled with flavorless corn with some other bland vegetables. It was not good experience for us. Would not recommend.
