The Osprey delivers on all the essentials—fresh food, great drinks, and a stylish coastal-modern décor that feels welcoming right away. Every dish tasted clean and high-quality, and the cocktails were balanced and very well made. Service was a true highlight. Cassidy was incredible—knowledgeable about the menu, personable, and always ahead of anything we needed. She kept everything running smoothly and really elevated the whole experience. All around, a great spot and an easy recommendation.

This was a phenomenal experience with knowledgeable staff and a comfortable array of options. They truly understand it takes a village to succeed! Multiple people came by and brought our orders, and each were personable and made sure we were having a wonderful evening. I wish we lived in the area so we could become regulars, and that I could put even more stars.

The happiest hour drinks were good. The oysters were great. The chowder was perfect. The drink menu is extensive. Steak Frites was great. Carrot cake and panna cotta were so good. Chelsea, our server helped us decide what to choose and was so attentive. She made dinner amazing.

A Five-Star Masterpiece: The Osprey at Baldwin Park The Osprey at Baldwin Park is nothing short of exceptional, earning a full five stars for its seamless blend of magnificent cuisine and sophisticated ambiance. This is the definition of a special occasion destination. The seafood is the star of the show. Every dish is prepared with artistry and a deep understanding of flavor. We were particularly impressed by the Calamari Pasta, which was light, fresh, and perfectly balanced, and the Swordfish, which was cooked to flaky perfection, demonstrating the kitchen's commitment to quality ingredients and masterful technique. The presentation of every plate was immaculate, rivaling any high-end establishment. The atmosphere elevates the entire dining experience. For a truly romantic evening, the outside dining area is the place to be. It’s an incredibly chic and enjoyable space, offering a beautiful view of the Baldwin Park downtown area as the sun sets. Inside, the design is tastefully decorated, and the intentional darkness of the room creates a classic, intimate, and exclusive feel, perfect for celebrating an anniversary or major milestone. The experience is completed by the outstanding service. The serving staff is consistently pleasant, professional, and friendly, attentive without being intrusive, which makes the guest feel genuinely cared for. An added bonus for a downtown location is the hassle-free free parking available on the streets. The Osprey is a must-visit for anyone seeking a truly unforgettable meal.

It was my first time here and we loved it! We did the magical dining and got the ceviche and smoked fish dip appetizer, I am not prime flank steak and the scottish salmon entree, and lastly the canoli and white chocolate pan a cotta. Everything was amazing! Our server Austin, was very knowledgable on the menu and very attentive.

We had a wonderful experience. I made a last minute reservation through OpenTable which was honored and we were able to be seated at the bar with a great atmosphere and location. The food was delicious, and my bartender Hunter made some great bourbon recommendations which we accepted and enjoyed throughout the evening. Service was friendly, fast and the restaurant was immaculately clean even though its was very busy. Parking was easy to find on the side streets, and prices were very reasonable. Excellent clientele and atmosphere. Perfect for business meetings, date night, happy hours with friends or girls night out. Highly recommended.

When the Magical Dining menus come out every year, I examine each one, assign them a score, and go to the top five or six. Every year, no matter where the restaurant is, or how many times I've been there before. I lucked out this time, though, because the Osprey's menu was banging, and I had never been here before. This was my opportunity to strike. Ambiance was upscale old world Florida. I can't explain why. You'll hopefully just agree with me when you see it. It was accentuated by the Ernest Hemingway quote on the wall. It was a very beautiful spot, like each of its sister restaurants. Service was on point, too. Our server had a good command of the whole menu, especially the drink menu. She guided me towards the right mocktail to pick. She checked in on us the right amount, and the food came out promptly and of proper temp all night. Bravo. As for the food, I'll outline it here. Apps Josper Roasted Pork Belly (stone fruit bbq, grilled summer greens). This was their 20th anniversary dish, and it was excellent. Well cooked, massively thicc slices of pork, accented well with the sweet bbq sauce, and those green were nice, too, like a skinnier bok choy. Very good. Crush Puppies (blue crab, Florida sweet corn, green goddess). These, on the other hand, avoid these like the plague. Don't get me wrong, they were fine, soft hush puppies with a crisp exterior. But the fact that blue crab was the first listed ingredient was laughable. There were a few molecules in there, but really, just skip this and get the Smoked Fish Dip. Mains Swordfish Milanese (bagna càuda aioli, broccolini, meyer lemon). This thing was wonderful. It was pounded and breaded, like a swordfish schnitzel. It sat atop of a nicely spicy aioli and there was an acidic tang from the lemon around. The broccolini was a non-issue. Broccolini is such a useless veg. A very good dish overall. Squid Fusille (pesto, marinated tomato, meyer lemon). Excellent, unique pasta dish! Tender, delicious squids swimming around a good amount of fusille, a wonderful pesto throughout that was accented perfectly with chunks of pecans sprinkled atop the dish. Pops of those acidic tomatoes every once in a while, just a well composed dish. Desserts White Chocolate Panna Cotta (brown butter streusel, apple butter). I love a good panna cotta. This one was white chocolate to a T. Perfectly sweet, contrasted against the very sweet streusel and the very tart apple butter. This dessert was very fun. I recommend. Cannoli Trio (orange-cardamom, lemon pistachio, chocolate hazelnut). I love a flight. These cannoli were definitely not traditional, so if you're Italian, beware. But they were each filled with lovely cremes that were very strong and fragrant. Each one unique, each one delicious. A great way to end the meal. Overall, this was a stunner of a meal. Can't go wrong with coming here for Magical Dining this year.

We came for desserts at Osprey tonight and while dessert choice was fairly limited (only 3 offerings) the two that we chose were delectable. Slice of the day was scrumptious carrot cake, and I chose chocolate caramel brownie which was rich and satisfying. The ambience was nice with low lights but a little hard to read the menus :)

Excellent Experience! ⏩ Recommened Date Night ⏪ The food delicious, and the atmosphere was great... But the star of the show was the service 💯 Absolutely top-notch service throughout the evening from our server Alex. She made the night so much more enjoyable, from her knowledge of the menu to excellent recommendations... She didn't miss a beat. Well done 🎯 The food was great and perfectly crafted and presented. Highly recommend a visit if you haven't been to this gem. Pro Tip: Stop by Blue Jacket's Gastro Pub for a cocktail before or after dinner 🥃🔥

Whole Foods is a shopping experience EVERYTIME!!! This location is no different. Love to peruse the store for my intended shopping item & the unintended shopping item. I always manage to leave with something "new to me". Love the smell of fresh flowers as soon as you dawn the doors of this location. Ample ground level & rooftop parking. Always a pleasure to enter. Look forward to my next trip.

This is the first time I’ve given a Whole Foods four stars, even though I love the ambience of the small folk store. Prices of course, at Whole Foods are always high even for some of the same products you get elsewhere. I continue to go here because the choices in the area are limited skews me very limited. In Seattle, the choices were numerous. I was never forced to go into a Walmart until I came to the New Orleans area. But Whole Foods has changed over the last couple years and I’m not sure it’s for the better.

C
Chasity J.

This Whole Foods on Broad does not compare with the other two here in New Orleans. This location is very tiny, which means less variety. The self-serve hot food section is always gross. The food is always dried out from sitting so long and being exposed to air. I like the small area where you are able to purchase alcohol and such. The prices are great. Overall, Whole Foods on Broad serves its purpose.

If you’re looking to refill your 5 gallon water bottles, the refill station is tucked away near guest services in the corner of the store.

I appreciate this particular Whole Foods because it is closer to where I live. That being said, I don't very much like Whole Foods because their products are astronomical in price. This evening, I decided I might treat myself to a chocolate bar. A Theo brand chocolate bar costs $4.50. Just an example, of course. As if.

Great store! I love the variety of organic wholefoods that the store offers. They have a lot of items that you want and do not know they have in organic.

We dined at The Osprey in Baldwin Park on a Friday night to celebrate my husband’s birthday. I’ve eaten in the area before and had been wanting to try this seafood restaurant for a while. Traffic was hectic (it was Halloween, after all, with lots of families out trick-or-treating), but parking wasn’t too difficult, I ended up at the nearby bank lot down the street, which was easy enough. I had made reservations and called to let them know we’d be a bit late; they were very accommodating and still seated us right away when we arrived. The staff immediately wished my husband a happy birthday, which was a lovely touch. The dining room itself is beautiful, open kitchen, central bar, and a lively but comfortable atmosphere. There’s outdoor seating too, though we chose to sit inside. Our server, Cass, was wonderful; attentive, professional, and warm. Since it was Halloween, the staff were dressed in costume, which made it even more fun. We started with cocktails: I ordered the A La Mode from the spirit-free menu (spiced apple, coconut, cinnamon, lime, ginger beer) and added a shot of spiced rum—fantastic combination! My husband had a classic Old Fashioned, which he enjoyed. For appetizers, we tried the Cedar Key Clam Chowder and Ceviche. Both were good, the chowder flavorful, and the ceviche fresh and bright, though quite spicy from the chili crisp. The Sweet Hawaiian Rolls were okay, soft and warm but a little under-salted, and the honey butter didn’t quite add the punch of flavor I hoped for. For entrées, my husband had the Florida Local Catch, which that evening was American Red Snapper (I believe). This was good but not great. The butternut squash was undercooked, though the raisins and pumpkin seeds were a nice touch. I requested the Branzino but asked if the chef could serve it with the sides listed for the scallop dish (polenta, roasted corn and jalapeño relish, and peanut salsa macha), which they kindly accommodated. Cass did mention the meal might come out “layered differently,” and indeed it did. The fish was plated separately from the sides. The branzino was served whole and butterflied, which was fine, but the presentation felt incomplete. The open center left plenty of space where the accompaniments could have been layered in to create a more cohesive and appealing plate. I ended up removing the meat myself and placing it on the side plate. While the fish itself was delicious, the plating missed the mark. The polenta had great flavor but was much looser than expected. Although we didn’t order dessert, Cass kindly offered my husband a little sweet treat to go for his birthday, which was such a nice gesture and left a positive final impression. Overall, the experience was pleasant—the service and atmosphere were lovely, and the food had some bright moments, but nothing truly stood out or left a lasting impression. I’d recommend The Osprey for a nice night out or a drink and appetizer at the bar, but for me, it wasn’t quite a “wow” dinner.

A seafood lover's dream that captures the essence of elite This restaurant has a modern coastal atmosphere that sets the stage for an exceptional meal. While the outdoor seating can feel a bit cramped with passing foot traffic, the interior provides a more refined dining space. My culinary adventure centered on their legendary Fish and chips! The crispy breading on the thick cod filet was so perfectly executed that I could have sworn I was transported to a cozy pub in Ireland. The menu is a testament to sustainable seafood, featuring locally caught line fish and an impressive selection of oysters and decadent seafood towers. While the Roasted Crab Cake was merely passable for my wife, the east coast oysters were delicious! Service was a standout, with our server proving exceptionally attentive and knowledgeable about the extensive drink options. For those seeking an authentic taste of Florida's coastal cuisine, The Osprey delivers a memorable dining experience that celebrates the best of local seafood. Whether you're a local or just passing through Baldwin Park, this restaurant is well worth a visit.

Stopped by for some quick drinks and appetizers. Oysters were super fresh, of a good variety, and decently priced at $2 each. Definitely recommend this spot if you’re in the area.

Tried The Osprey with hubby this week. Location is great and found street parking at a short distance. Ambiance of the restaurant was perfect for date night; modern, relaxed, comfortable and cozy but still airy. Food was a 4 out of 5. Highlight was the oysters. The octopus was just ok, it was served in a nice stone fruit bbq sauce which was yummy. Hubby had the Steak and Frites and I had the daily catch, African Pompano. Fish was good, cooked nicely but I didn’t enjoy the corn and stone fruit puree it was served on. Drinks were fine and service was good. Would return to try different dishes as the ambiance and service were the stars.

Went for Magical Dining with a friend recently and it was alright. The salad was my favorite part of the dinner. I ordered the Caesar with anchovies on the side, the Rainbow Trout, and then the Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie. The server did tell us there were no sides to the fish, so I was aware and still ordered it. It was fine, but would have preferred even just a veggie or something to go with it as it was a lot of just one thing. The Peanut Butter Pie was very rich and I could only eat a very small portion of it. Service was pretty slow, and it didn't seem super busy, but I also didn't pay attention to how many tables our server had. They were super nice when they were at our table though. I'm not sure I would go back for food again, but the atmosphere is fantastic so maybe for some drinks at the bar.

Went for happy hour. Very limited choices. The oysters were good. The crab cake was in some sauce that didn’t go well with it. The sauce overpowered the crab cake. The tuna nachos were okay. Was going to stay for dinner but wasn’t impressed with the appetizers/happy hour items we tried.

This place is hit and miss. You can have amazing meals, like the Cioppino they have occasionally, but you can also get misses. Last week we went and paid $7 for grouper appetizers. It was one mini-slider that was all bread, no fish. If I ran this place, I would remove it from the Happy Hour menu immediately! On the positive side, the service there is always great. We sat at the bar and our bartender - Sarah I think - was awesome!

We had dinner at The Osprey to celebrate my birthday. Overall, the meal was good, but a few things kept it from being a great experience. We ordered everything at once, but unfortunately, our drinks took over 40 minutes to arrive. It was a Monday night with a decent crowd, but not so busy that the delay felt justified. The food itself was solid—nothing was bad, but nothing really wowed us either. It just didn’t stand out in a way that would make us want to return. The highlight of the meal was definitely the brownie sundae—it was delicious and memorable! If I were to go back, it would probably be just for dessert.

Re: Visited this Whole Foods again and still very sparse on the hot bar and salad bar. Really unfortunate, I'm starting to think this could be a staffing issue. Only a few miles away on Metairie both food bars seem to always be stocked with food. As always the butchers are great individuals to talk wth and very helpful when making a meat selection. Disappointing. The majority of the time the salad bar and hot bar seems sparse and lacks variety. Along with the sparseness of the salad bar and hot bar, this WF is usually out of eggs. Despite all these shortcomings, the butcher team is friendly and communicative.

Average at best...not very friendly. Cashiers standing around bored not doing anything or on their phones. I stopped at Cust Serv to ask if they carried a certain item & all i got was a "I dont know"- didnt try to look it up or call the dept orresearch the inquiry!! Not good when they pride themselves on a "friendly service"...not really all that friendly or giving assistance with an inquiry. I wont be going back.

Both Whole Foods in New Orleans disappoint you know it's so hard to find grass-fed meat and natural meat and organic meat and you would think Whole Foods would be the place to go but the meat selection was so subpar they're wild fish selection was so so, all the mushrooms were wrapped in plastic the vegetables were not worth the price you're going to pay it all foods. I hate Amazon I used to love Whole Foods and I am not going to be going back to either of these locations I guess I'm just not going to really eat meat while I'm in New Orleans unless somebody reads this and has a good suggestion

The service was nice, waitor was helpful and kind. The food seemed very hit or miss. It seems the menu changes often which can be good for variety but bad for consistency and testing of good flavors. Two of the people in our party ordered the spiny lobster, its sad to say it was repulsive. The spiny lobster in itself lacked flavor, it was mostly salt, it had a rubbery texture and the sauce with the cabbage did not pair well. Particularly the cabbage was the worst tasting, not sure what they were trying to go for. The flavors were not harmonious and it was a lackluster dish, specially considering the price. I was really disappointed since we are in Florida and I have had better food that is caught fresh for $10 by a mom and pops place. The clams with french fries were decent, those are harder to mess up. Based on this experience, I will not be returning.

Saturday 09/21/2025: 1145am- The lady cashier and the lady that bagged my groceries this morning were so unprofessional. Cashier No greeting , no eye contact , no words exchanged to me aside from giving me a total- I brought my own bags didn’t get my discount for that. She just tossed my food off to the side, and had another lady bag it up. The lady that bagged my food just tossed my food in my bags without any consideration. some staff memories are much better and friendlier - these two ladies clearly do not care about their jobs or have any pride in their work. My picture shows just that. My meat was on the bottom beat up by the heavier objects on top. The staff is so incompetent and incapable of doing a simple task of bagging food properly and saying hi to customers. it’s ridiculous .

The Amazon return window is awful. One person marked boxes and the other walked up and down for 29 minutes looking at boxes in bins. Never once did she tell any of the 10 customers in line what she was doing or how long it would take. The line did not move once in 20 minutes. I tried to use the self serve. She cut off the access and never said why. Awful
