Absolutely phenomenal service, lady behind the counter with tattoos was very nice and helpful when it came to ordering. That double smash burger Korean style is an incredible little meal. I also got the tenders, which were crispy and tasty, and three tacos; beef short rib, spicy pork, and the kimchi falafel. Everything was delicious, wonderful little gem of a spot here.
A small and cozy restaurant walking distance from Prospect park which serves a tasty mix of Korean and Mexican food. We ordered a 10 piece bucket of Korean chicken wings with sweet and savory sauce, BBQ nachos and Asian horchata. The staff were really nice and helpful.
These ladies (and chefs) gave me a free margarita, wha tthe h-hell?❣️🐸 Tacos were excellent, too! They topped me off, on the high ground of Washington Avenue, and on a Friday! Gang gang.
If you are in the neighborhood stop by! The girl at the counter was super nice, the place is not huge but there are some tables where to sit and enjoy the food. You can also order to take away. I really liked the taco and the lime lemonade!
Very unique spot that has a fusion of Mexican and Korean flavors. We ordered the fried fish bowl, the fried fish taco, and the Korean pancake. The food was delicious and fresh. The service was great and the pricing was very reasonable. There aren't a lot of tables so this is also a great takeout spot as well.
Updating this: we’ve ordered a lot more times and it’s been better service and more correct orders lately. Friendly staff!! We’ve ordered a lot of the dishes from here and it’s all really good. I just feel like they’re a bit inconsistent in getting the order right. I ordered extra protein with tofu and this is what it looks like— it doesn’t seem like that’s any more than a normal order. That seemed like a waste of money and disappointment. It’s a bit expensive. Still, tasty food. And it’s great they have so many vegetarian and vegan and other options.
I met Phil, the owner of Kimchi Grill, at a Brooklyn Grand Army Plaza Food truck gathering. I remember having the spicy Korean flavors in a Mexican-inspired food journey. The blending of two distinct cultures, and yet, they share the love of Spicy is 🔥 I'm a regular, meaning two to three, ok, sometimes four stops for food. And there are the moments I stop for a refreshing Frozen Margarita, $7.00 😈👍🏻 $2.00 tip 😉 Phil has expanded to Governors Island with Tokyo Drumstick. 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Check out Phil’s food, and I can't say enough great things. Kimchi Grill is ideally located within walking distance of the Brooklyn Museum, Botanical Garden, and Prospect Park. Show your love and support by enjoying their food.
Mexican-Korean Fusion! Food tastes fresh and comes in large portions; exactly what one would expect from a food truck. Price is decent, and service is friendly. We got the Korean bowls with a side of Korean fried wings plus a drink. Total come out to be around $50, which includes a 15% tip. We will definitely come back to experience their other offerings.
This place is so unique, all the dishes here have so many diverse flavours , like a party in your mouth . It's one of the special places in the area , especially to have a soup at a cold day . The prices are really comfortable and low . The service was great as well and they were really nice , i highly recommend .
The place is really cute and clean! You can see the kitchen behind the register and everything is orderly. I bought a seared pork spicy kimchi bowl with a ginger limeade. The food came fast, and I was served at my table. The food was really good, flavorful and fresh. I thought they had attentive and polite service too.
Tried their Korean BBQ Beef Short Rib Big Belly Burrito (multigrain rice, kimchi infused refried beans) and it was pretty decent. The short rib had a sweet taste to it, and the spiciness level was very mild, which you could barely notice. I wouldn't order this again just because I prefer something more savory but I'd definitely come back to try other dishes on their menu. I really like the variety they have here too, and not many of the Korean places I've been to have this Mexican fusion to it. Didn't know their sister-brand is Tokyo Drumstick but I've been and it's similar + just as good. Also, they're very kind.
One of my go-to spots in Brooklyn. I love their tacos and burritos so much, that every time we are in the area we make sure to grab a bite here. Portions are decent and the foods are flavorful. Prices are ok too. I never had a bad experience or bad food here despite visiting multiple times. I think their margaritas are popular too, although I haven’t tried it.
Great food, staff and vibes. Best part there is no line on a Saturday brunch hour!!! The kimchi got a kick to it, but I wish they drained the kimchi a bit more. Towards the end my burrito was runny with the vinegar and the tortilla wrap was becoming mush. But the portion is on point for the amount they charge.
A decent place for a meal - 3.5/5 stars tbh! The food is definitely not bad. However, I felt not completely satisfied with the meal. The new chicken sandwich was okay. I think the flavor of the sauce didn't quite have the robust Korean flavor I was looking for. And the meat was a little dry. The burrito with short rib was underwhelming. It lacked flavor and I think there was too much rice in comparison with the meat. The kimchi pancake was a nice appetizer. Had great flavor and good texture. The food didn't really hit me well but I'd visit again and try other items. The service was great and the place was clean!
The rice cakes were good but not worth the price. The wings were ok but also not worth the price. The fries were not good at all. They were so soggy they congealed into one lump. Like if they took it out the freezer and put it in the microwave and not fried them. Barely any cheese and a ton of beans. Forgot to take a picture but it felt like I was eating like a chunky mashed potato
UPDATE: GOT FOOD POISONING FROM RAW CHICKEN. Placed a pick up order online. When I came to the store, they said their Internet was down so they hadn’t made my order. I came back 45 minutes later to pick up my dish. When I got home, I started eating when I realized that the chicken was raw.
