Out of all the cheese foams I’ve tried at HEYTEA, pistachio cloud might be my favorite. It’s sweet and savory, smooth and nutty, and it enhances the floral note of their high quality king jasmine milk tea. And I just unlocked a secret hack: You can order the pistachio cloud (or any clouds!) separately, freeze it, and turn it into homemade pistachio ice cream. It tastes way better than store-bought pistachio ice cream (and cheaper!) This is my go-to HEYTEA location since it’s close to my workplace. The staff are helpful and the drinks are usually ready within ten minutes even during lunch hours.
We recommend using the app to use their coupons! Order before going to the store via app to save time. Our favorites are the coconut grapefruit boom and cloud longjing!
I think this is the best boba place I’ve ever been to…I’m going to be dreaming about the coconut mango boom for the rest of my life. My daughter got the supreme brown sugar boba and it was one of the best I’ve had as well.
I love Heytea and this place was great. This time I tried the brown sugar milk boba without the tea since I can’t have caffeine. It was really good. I think the milk was thicker than I expected. I wish I got 25% sugar instead of half but it still tasted good. My friend got the mango coconut boom and she liked it.
Always a favorite for me and I tried the new cloud magnolia and it is fantastic. Matcha flavor that is not too bitter and the sweet foam is heavenly and just leaves that great aftertaste on my tongue. Staff is always friendly and works super fast as well. Love this place! I also get the grape flavor boom often because I love slushing as well
Great milk tea, just how it’s supposed to be! I got the classic brown sugar milk tea with tapioca pearl. Asked for less sugar. Usually, despite asking for less sugar, drinks end up wayyyy too sweet for my taste. But this time around, the sweetness level was perfect for me. Really enjoyed my drink!
The drink was amazing! The location is convenient, service was fast, clean environment. No downside for this place. Happy with my drink and will definitely be back to try others. It’s also healthier than other drinks that are being sold around the area. The description is clear and staff were knowledgeable about the ingredients.
I tried hey tea in Malaysia and have been hooked ever since. I was there for a month and when I returned to nyc, to my surprise, they had opened multiple locations while I was away! Now it’s my go to here as well. The quality is just as good as in Malaysia and they have the same flavors! So happy they’re here!
Place was crowded both times I went around August during night and day. I got the yumberry (bayberry) boom which was seasonal at that time and coconut mango boom. Yumberry was good but more icy. The coconut mango boom was tasty and creamy and would be the drink to recommend for most people. You can adjust sweetness which is great since I prefer less. You can also give them your own drink container to fill up which is a nice gesture to have for reducing waste and you save a few cents.
Rating: 3.8/5 [take out] HEYTEA was running a BOGO deal on their matcha coconut drinks, so we had to stop by on our way to lunch. They had three options: Matcha Boba Coconut, Coco-Foam Matcha Oat Latte, and Cloud Coconut Blue. Unfortunately, they were out of boba by the time we arrived, but we went ahead and ordered anyway. The shop itself is small and pretty busy, with some people waiting outside. Despite the crowd, the drinks came out pretty fast (less than 10 minutes). Matcha Boba Coconut ($7.99): Really good! The coconut milk jelly was sweet and tasty, and the drink itself was refreshing on a hot day. Would recommend. Coco-Foam Matcha Oat Latte ($7.99): A miss for me. It tasted watered down and wasn’t sweet, so I was only able to drink half of it. To be fair, the ice and foam melted on our walk to Bryant Park which is probably why it was watered down.
3.5 / 5.0 - I tried HeyTea for the first time earlier this month and became so hooked I had to go again. This was my first time at this Broadway location, near the Times Sq - 42 St station and Bryant Park. There was no seating inside, with just a small standing area for order pick-up. You can order at the counter, on their kiosk or online. At this location, the staff was not very friendly and did not seem to be interested in taking orders. I was ordering on the kiosk so it was ok, but they didn't give the best impression. The drink itself was delicious--I ordered the Supreme Brown Sugar Boba Milk Tea ($7.99+), with less ice and less sugar, which was still pretty sweet. Based on the service, this wouldn't the first location I'd choose for HeyTea, but if you're just picking up your order and don't care about the service, maybe it's ok.
Bubble tea? Move over. Heytea Broadway is serving great drinks you need to try. From the first sip of the supreme matcha latte, I understood the hype. The taste is genuinely good. The minimalist, modern ambiance with its clean white aesthetic creates a chic backdrop for your tea indulgence. However, be prepared to practice patience. On my visit I waited around 20 minutes with over 30 orders in queue. The staff was attentive and apologized about the delay, it highlights the spot's popularity. The biggest hurdle? The price point. While the drinks are undeniably good and the experience is polished, the high prices might not fully justify the cost for everyone.
The drinks are great, however the wait is not. There's a significant bottleneck in finishing the drinks and then getting them out to people. I don't think they do a very good job of managing that and so people queue up and end up waiting there a lot longer even after their drinks are done.
The vibe of the place is great – bustling yet efficient, with the staff managing to keep up with the crowd impressively. I opted for the grape cheese flavor, intrigued by its unique combination. The drink itself was quite good – the grape was refreshing and didn't taste artificial, which I really appreciated. The hint of cheese added an interesting twist, creating a creamy texture that complemented the fruity base well. However, the price tag was a bit of a letdown. At around $8 per cup, I had high expectations that weren't fully met. While I enjoyed the quality ingredients and the drink was definitely above average, it didn't quite hit the "wow" level that I'd expect for such a premium.
I want to be very clear from the start: this is not a complaint about the staff. This is about a broken system. Yesterday, I ordered one drink in-store and waited almost 40 minutes. After about 20 minutes, I assumed it would be ready soon and didn’t ask for a refund at that point, it felt pointless to start over. Unfortunately, the drink didn’t come out until close to the 40minute mark. I wasn’t the only one. Multiple customers around me were waiting just as long, clearly confused and frustrated, with no real sense of when their orders would be ready. The staff, however, were doing everything they possibly could. They were working at full speed, nonstop, and from what I could see, there was no way for them to work any faster. Even in the middle of the chaos, they stayed polite and professional. They deserve credit, not blame. The problem is the ordering system. Online and delivery orders kept coming in continuously, many of them large, multi-drink orders. When those are processed alongside in-store orders with no separation, walk-in customers are guaranteed to wait indefinitely. That’s not a staffing issue, it’s a structural one. Some people might say, “Just order online.” But that’s not a real solution. Not everyone prefers online ordering, and this is Manhattan, tourists, first-time customers, and walk-ins are a given. If in-store orders are going to take 40–50 minutes, that needs to be clearly communicated upfront, or the workflow needs to be redesigned. Waiting 40 minutes for food at a restaurant would already be frustrating. Waiting 40 minutes for a single drink is simply unreasonable. What’s especially concerning is that I see reviews from over a year ago describing the exact same issue. That suggests management is aware of the problem but hasn’t meaningfully addressed it. If demand is this high, the answer shouldn’t be to let customers lose their time and employees burn out. A business that wants to scale needs to invest in its operations whether that means separating online/delivery production, adjusting order limits, or increasing staff and resources. Please don’t respond with a generic apology. If this is truly a priority for the company, this is something that deserves serious operational attention especially with summer coming, when volume will only increase. Once again, respect to the staff. This feedback is directed at management and company decisions, not the people working behind the counter.
If I could put zero stars I would.. this is quite honestly the worst matcha I’ve had in my entire life. I really tried but after 2 sips I had to throw the whole thing in the garbage. Their were mucus like chunks of matcha very unpleasant. If your looking for a good matcha place during your New-York stay. Please don’t come here…
