I love this place! Their noodles and dumplings are so yummy and the price is reasonable. It has drinks and desserts too. And the free wifi works! I love the comfy chairs too. I always come here for a good lunch

Visited this place a couple of days ago and it was exactly what I was looking for! The space isn't massive and the order is a short wait but ordering via the SnackPass app you can order ahead and get nice perks as well! There is a kiosk in the front with all the menu items and you cab pay with your card and then wait until your name is called. In some instances you are given a buzzer which will go off once your order is ready. I had the crepe with strawberry and banana and it was delicious.

Very affordable prices and delicious food! The bubble waffle was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, and the ice cream was lovely. Also ordered smoothies and fruit teas here and they're very fresh and not overly sweet! I came here on a previous occasion to eat dumplings and they were so scrumptious. Plenty of space to sit down inside the restaurant too, and food comes out at a reasonable time. Expect a slightly longer wait for dumplings, but it is still a reasonable wait in my opinion! There is the option to order through a kiosk and they will text you how long your order will take.

This is both a KULU and a Dumpling Town. The desserts are from KULU and you can also get dumplings and noodle soups from Dumpling Town. It's a bit of a wait for the food, even though they're usually not crowded, but that's because they make your food when you order it. It's spacious with plenty of seating and free WiFi. The dumplings are delicious. I like the cilantro flounder dumplings. They have some interesting Asian desserts and unique dumpling flavors.

One of our favorite dessert place. Definitely got to try Fuji mountain ( photo 2). Best value and amazing service. No tipping ! The place is definitely 5 stars. I read the other reviews and people only gave 4 stars despite giving positive reviews ? Does people in elmhurst have higher standards ? This place is amazing compare to any dessert shops in Manhattan.

Our female friend brought me and my wife here as she was boasting to us how delicious the food here is. OMG! Our friend was so right! The beef ramen my wife and I ordered were so tasteful, delicious and impressive! Our desserts ordered were innovative, but so delicious and so enjoyable! I always get the spicy beef noodle soup with the Thai iced tea for an extra 2 buck. Their choco Oreo is pretty good too. It is self serve but their atmosphere is great and clean with trendy music playing. Also I love durian :)

As a teenager learning to try new dishes and other foods in NYC, I enjoyed what I ordered, my favorite meal was the 🥟dumplings of pork, Shrimp, chives plus the spicy flavor😋and the other flavors that idk what was it called but it brought the delicious taste to the dumplings, and I loved the matcha smoothie and the atmosphere was amazing. Hopefully I get to try some other desserts like the waffles. :)

It's not easy for me to find a food that I like, but this place is awesome. They have amazing options for desserts, soups, dumplings, noodles and more. Soup on the picture was delicious and the meat was tender. You can ask for spicy or not spicy version. You can also place your order at the kios at the entrance. Space is pretty big for this location. You can find tabels for 4 people and more. Place has a restroom, key ask at the worker. I definitely will be back to this place with my friends and will also try two another locations in Flushing and Brooklyn.

Crowded at night but the wait was ok. Tried Snowy Durian and the waffle with sesame thing. Sesame was amazingly good. Waffle tasted so good and soft but not too soft. Added the crunchy feeling from popcorn, it was well balanced. Snowy Durian was... good for a first timer having durian in my life. It's in a cream form with tiny bit of durian meat so it doesn't kill you with the strong scent. Interesting.

I had the strawberry crepe. It was really good, loved the ice cream. The fruit was really fresh, that’s extra points for me. Recommend if you are in the area.

I must stop for tourists and people who want to try unique desserts . They have a modern and clean dessert shop. Plenty of seating. I like the blackrice with coconut milk dessert.

Kulu gets the job done when you’re looking for a dessert spot in Elmhurst. It doesn’t really stand out to me, but I’ll come here if I’m in the area and looking for something sweet. The dessert options that they have is really diverse and there is something for everyone on the menu, find what fits best for you!

Kulu Desserts is a great place to grab a pan-Asian snack. Pan-Asian? They have a variety of desserts and snacks with origins mainly in the South East Asia part of the world. Think China, Taiwan, Malaysia, Thailand, etc. This location, not even listed on their website as of this review, has a subset of their Flushing location's menu. Most of the items are there, but I know the item my wife wanted after browsing the online menu (some variety of waffle) wasn't available. I got the mango/pomelo/grass jelly sago pudding and it was fantastic! I asked to make sure that their sago wasn't made with coconut milk (since there was a food allergy in my party and in some areas of Asia that method of preparation is a possibility) and was assured that it wasn't. After we sat down with our desserts another employee came out and made sure we were okay, since the sago does have milk. I assured them that we were fine with milk, just not the coconut variety. So great service even if there was a small language barrier leading to that confusion. Expect to pay around $10 if I remember right. Great stuff!

My friend had the Fresh Taro with Coconut Slushie ($6.45 before tax) & I had the Red Bean Slushie ($5.75 pre-tax). They are huge, rivaling the Venti size at Starbucks. We both enjoyed our selections. Air conditioning was working. Not too strong where you are freezing. The booth seating area (the floor) was littered, so I aimed to sit in the high table section in the front of the store. They only have 1 restroom, which has the cheapest toilet paper that needed refilling. Overall, tasty beverage choices but they need to do regular hourly cleaning and restroom check.

The spicy soup is my favorite meal to get here. It is very good and has great flavor and spices in the noodle soup. The dumplings are good here as well. It’s chill.

The drinks are ok. The place is next to a bus and train station. All the chive and cilantro dumplings were ok. Pork and dill tasted ok, almost like the one from Dumpling Galaxy. The wrapping from here are more delicate and thinner imo. Beef and cheese was the worst. The dinning area is clean along with the restroom, which is locked.

Tong yun soup was very delicious. Re commend for everybody to try it. Durian smoothie was also delicious. Beef dumpling soup was ok not that good. Should come check out this place.

The sawdust pudding is delicious but expensive for the amount you're getting. I also tried the papaya with sago coconut milk. Although it was good they skimped on the papaya. The atmosphere is pretty depressing in there but they do have good desserts. Not a place I would go often because it is on the pricier side.

This Dessert spot is a cute aesthetic dessert place with a variety of options from bubble tea, crepes to mochi and much more. We opted for the Pinky Rose Hong Kong specialty waffle which comes with a rose waffle, strawberry ice cream, strawberries, mango, maple granola, maple syrup and whipped cream. The waffle was freshly made crispy outside and fluffy inside. It was delicious. Pink Rose and Oreo flavor waffles are quite good. Ice cream is fresh, somewhat similar to spongecake for the waffles thus goes quite well with the ice cream, making it very enjoyable to eat leisurely. Worth the price.

I've visited Kulu Desserts at both locations, and the taste was consistently good. I usually opt for takeaway. During my recent visit, I tried three desserts from the menu. The order was promptly prepared, and it was convenient that they were still open. The ambiance wasn't relevant in this case.

The food was good! Service could be better and faster tho. Food took a while (over 10 minutes) to be ready.

Ice cream we got was really good. On the pricy side, wouldnt come here too often but would come back. The music was really loud and it was dark inside like they just opened.

The chicken and scallion dumplings is super good especially with the sauce, it reminds me a lot of siomai in the Philippines but with more sophistication. lol. Amazing!!! Also, I just tried the taro smoothie, and it’s super good. It’s not so sweet so it’s easier to drink. 8/10

I’ve been living in Elmhurst for a few years and this was my first time coming here to grab dessert with a friend after dinner, just a while before closing. It’s pretty spacious and clean, only 2-3 people were having dessert when we arrived so it was pretty quiet! We ordered through the kiosk and its’s pretty self explanatory. My friend ordered the Mango Pomelo and I ordered the Mango Pomelo with Grass Jelly. They’re both pretty much the same. It tasted great, pretty well made.

Good combination of lunch/dinner and dessert. I usually get the beef noodle soup, pork & chives dumpling, and a ube waffle or mango pomelo. In total, it's around $20-25. If you're just getting dessert or dumplings, it's less than $10. If you order a bowl of noodle soup or dumplings, you get a discounted drink: jasmine green tea $1, Thai tea $2, or fruit tea $3. Very budget friendly. I always visit Kulu when I'm too lazy to cook. I recommend ordering in person. One time I ordered from the kiosk and it took 30 min. The cashier was nice enough to give me a free drink.

Went in for post lunch after race. Was craving for something hot and spicy with soup and then bam they had all these dumpling options with soup and noodles perfect for what I was craving for. The pork shrimp and chives dumpling soup with noodles was mind blowing. And then to finish off they have wide selection of desserts. Definitely going back for more and very convenient place with subway right outside. It’s a self service place and wait time is about 15-20 min but worth the wait.

It offers mouthwatering dumpling noodles, sweet soups, bubble fruit waffles, puddings, sweet crepes, taro balls, fruit and hot teas and milk series drinks!!! Great for hangout with friends, family, lovers or even a treat for yourself. Will definitely recommend!!!

I've been here multiple times and their Asian deserts never disappoint. They have a decent selection of noodles and delicious homemade dumplings, but their variety of deserts keep me coming back. I usually come here for their bubble waffle ice cream combinations because the bubble waffles are freshly made. Love love love their triple sesame bubble waffle, it's sesame bubble with black sesame ice cream, Dragon fruit, condense milk, and popcorn. I had the taro shake and it was freshly made, excellent silky smooth flavor, I was surprised that it was made with real taro because normally it's made with powder. I had the durian shake, it was good. I'll definitely be coming back here again and again.

The used 2003 Hyundai Elantra of desserts - mediocre at best. We ordered an "Ujikintoki Kai Waffle", a matcha bubble waffle with matcha icecream and other assortments of dessert bowl accessories. Figured we couldn't go wrong with matcha and bubble waffle, because how can a place that markets their bubble waffles actually screw it up? Wrong. Perhaps it was their batter? Granted the waffle skin was crunchy, the innards were chewy like stale bread. Having the lower portion of the waffle soak in the (rapidly) melted iceream certainly didn't help. The matcha flavor wasn't present in the waffle and the iceream presented very small hints of the flavor. No comments on their drinks as I only ordered a basic tea.

The dumplings are pretty decent, haven't tried the dessert here yet. Good place for some late evening food as they are open to midnight.

I went to Kulu today and it was more busy than usual. Placed my order at the counter and waited for 30 mins. Never got my order and went to check at the cashier, they forgot or lost my order and was told they would make it right away. I appreciate them making it right away but should pay closer attention to all orders. Seems the service is going downhill slowly

I was there to try the beef noodle, so no comment on dessert...which I believe most people have tried it. The beef itself is really good. Although the soup can be better, but you get what you paid for. With overall cleaness I was about to give it 4 star. Just I probably won't go again because of those middle school kids. I believe it's a place to eat, with hot content (soup or dessert). I saw kids yelling and running all over the place at all times(shame on their parents as well), and no one ever stopped them, not even those employees. I am not going to risk myself into any accident results from those kids.

I came here specifically for their durian smoothy so I cannot speak to any of their other food ,drink, or dessert items. The service was quick and friendly. The place was clean and there is some chairs for you to wait to pick up your to-go items. There is no sit down available at all. My durian smoothly was just ok. It was a bit more watered down than I preferred. I understand that durian is pricey but the cost of the drink isn't cheap either at close to $7. It did have some durian flavor but it would have been better if they made it at least creamier in texture with maybe some ice cream to blend? I will come back to try their other food items.

Third time being there. A little disappointing! They have beef dumpling with other ingredients but they don't have beef and cheese dumpling. (THEY ARE OUT OF CHEESE) I just came for that today before I go work but they don't have. Ordered beef and pepper dumpling and Thai tea pudding.. Beef and pepper dumpling soup was okay! Soup tasted a little different from the other two days ago I tried. Thai tea pudding I picked today to try because alot of people said it was that good. Ehh everyone doesn't have same taste buds. Not my type of desserts.

Last summer I was unable to try the bubble waffles after waiting hours on a line at Brooklyn's Smorgasbord. So when I was driving around and found the store I had to go in and try it right?! I knew Groupon had a deal for $30 worth of food for $15, even more reason to try it right!?! Sadly I was let down. I wanted to customize my bubble waffle and was told that I couldn't. So I ordered 2 bubble waffles and a crepe. The bubble waffles were ok I guess nothing mind blowing. And the crepe sadly I have had way better at other places. I guess if I hadn't had the Groupon deal I don't think I would have gotten anything. Oh well. Not my cup of tea but maybe yours. Enjoy!

Not reasonable price at all, everything is overpriced and not even worth the price at all, you just throw it on the plate just because they have to serve it, doesn't taste really bad tastes normal like how it should taste nothing out of the ordinary

The pork and curry dumplings here are excellent—flavorful, juicy, and worth coming back for, at least for a take out orders. Unfortunately, the overall cleanliness of the place leaves something to be desired. Floors could use more attention, which takes away from the otherwise great food experience. If you can look past the upkeep, the dumplings themselves make it a solid stop Unfortunately didn't try any desserts.

We used to love their desserts, I don’t know what happened when we came back today. Maybe the waffle tasted old or not as fresh as we used to like it.

The food is good but the service not so good they take to much time and the music is so loud and with nasty words is horrible I went there with my 8 year old daughter it was very disappointing is like they want to atract gangster to the place hope the manager do something about it

The staff was rude. Food took over ten minutes to come out. Trays where the food is served are sticky and disgusting. Banners from halloween special are still up but are not available anymore. The place stinks. Honestly, store and location is nice just needs to be maintained.

Kulu Desserts is known for their bubble waffles, but it’s nothing special especially when there are millions of other Chinese dessert stores that serve the same thing. Their drinks menu is pretty deceptive when it comes to showcasing their drinks. When I see a photo of a HOT Matcha Latte, I expect you to serve it. “Photo is just for reference” is a bad excuse. If you’re serving ICED Matcha Latte (or whatever Fresh Milk is), title or describe it as an ICED drink and remove the irrelevant item photo. Don’t lie to your customers.

I am a regular customer. I love their food a lot but the service is really bad. There is this short lady, with black hat and her hair is up to her shoulder. Everytime when she works, she messes up the order and I had to wait for a long time to get my food. She is also very rude when I approached her about my order. I don't think I would come back again. She needs to get terminated from the job. Sorry to tell u guys, but now u just lost a regular customer.

The food is consistent. My only gripe is with their lack of AC in the summer. Last summer, I thought it was down, so I overlooked it as I ate the dumplings in spicy soup with bullets of sweat 😓 dripping the entire time... This time, I wanted to sit in to eat their sweet crepes with ice cream. Again, unbearably hot. While the employees were great and the food was good, I will not be returning solely because the establishment chooses not to invest in AC but has decided that one fan blowing by the counter and the door to the street open will suffice.

Ordered a crepe and strawberry slush with no bananas or milk. Ended up waiting 30 minutes because they forgot about our order and made everyone else’s order that came WAY after ours. On top of that, the slush still came with bananas and milk.

I had lunch here. The food is ok, but I have witnessed the waitress, served one food, then throw the trash, then took one order , and then MADE A WAFFLE without changing gloves!!!

my son 2 times threw up after eat in Kulu, he loves the food, i love the food too, it’s our favorite place, but I think it’s enough for us. he’s soo cheerful and keep asking to go there, but suddenly he threw up a lot right on the desk. wish Kulu can be more reliable.

This is my first time ordering at Kulu and i waited for 15 mins. I ordered beef noodles and dumplings. Im surprised when i got home they cheated me on my dumplings. I only got the beef noodles that tastes sour. After 1 hour i was vomiting, there’s something off. The beef is very tender though. I will definitely not recommend this place to anyone.

I ordered 2 beef soup noodles and 8pcs of pork shrimp dumplings for my first visit and I’m really disappointed. The soup had more beef fat than meat itself, the soup also was super greasy and it was lack of flavor, it was definitely missing salt. I was not amazed with the promising pork and shrimp dumplings, they were dry and the flavor was super plain. I really feel sad and I regret my visit there.

Terrible experience. Super slow and made mistake eventually. I ordered one beef noodle to go while there was only another customer in the store. I waited for 20 min and it was made dining in not to go. Also, when I got into the store, they just walked around. No one seems to care about taking the order. ( and at most 2 customers at the time..)

Delivery: I ordered a bubble waffles with ice cream and bananas, a milk tea and a fruit special. The deserts were fairly lukewarm and the waffle came with no ice cream so i called the store and they refused to correct the order by refunding or by delivering the ice cream. They only wanted to give me a 'coupon' to use should I ever come in. Unacceptable; that an establishment would screw up a simple order and refuse to do right by their customer by correcting the mistake. Will not be ordering again. You don't know what you'll get!

We order choconana around 6:03 pm and we got the food 6:29pm The worst things was there was around 6people in the kitchen if I’m not mistaken and they were just talking and do nothing until we came up and ask for our order again and they just started making it. Food wise - the waffle was cold as the ice cream. Not recommendable as they have the laziest people working here. It is my first time here but they don’t deserve any good comment.

The insides of the pork/dill dumplings which I ordered, which is what is shown outside, smelled foul once opened up. This, along with their pink colored insides makes me think they were not cooked all the way or properly. I was unable to eat this safely and left most of the inside meat behind. Also, this establishment is one that asks for tips before you have the food. Therefore along with the cost of the dumplings I've essentially wasted over $9 here. I had a different dish which didn't have as serious an issue as this one.
