One of the best dining experiences I've had in New York. Everything was perfect: the location, the service, and the food. The meat was so tender and juicy you could cut it with a spoon, and the mashed potatoes were perfect. It was my mom's birthday that day, and they made a special decoration for her. Thank you so much. I came with my wife (I’m vegetarian), and even though this place is known for its meats, I still had plenty of delicious options — the salad and sides were great! The atmosphere was really nice, the staff super friendly, and my favorite part was definitely the baklava with ice cream.

Visiting the Salt Bae restaurant was a wonderful experience. I called them earlier about halal certification and they said all the meats are halal. However, it was a bit misleading as only their fillet mignon, saslik and burger was halal. Sadly we couldn’t try any prime cuts. The server was a cool man, he was considerate and welcoming. He patiently checked all my halal related queries, kudos to him. We tried the $39 lunch special menu and the wagyu version which was $59. The appetizer salads were scrumptious. The wagyu filet mignon and the burger was also good. The fries were really crispy, but, the mashed potato felt more like Bangladeshi style mashed potato. The cheese cake and the famous baklava were also delicious and must try. We went for our anniversary celebration and they did something very nice for us.

Our daughter specifically asked to go here for her birthday lunch, and it really was a wonderful experience. The entire staff was so friendly, accommodating, and engaging. They went the extra mile to make her feel special. The owner happened to be there at the time and went out of his way to speak with her - which we really truly appreciated. She was so excited to get a selfie with him, and has been practicing her own "salt" techniques since. The food was prepared perfectly, served with care. Really we couldn't have been happier. Much has been said about the menu or the prices... And the reality is they have a mix of fantastic value and more extravagant experiences. And really everything was prepared with the same care and attention to flavor and presentation. Admittedly, we ordered on the more modest side of the menu and everyone there still treated us like royalty. Thank you for a wonderful meal!

I had lunch at Nusr-Et Steakhouse and tried the lunch menu. In terms of value for money, the menu was actually quite good, and the food itself was flavorful and well prepared. However, there were several aspects that affected the overall experience. An automatic service fee was added, even though we were only two people and not a group, which felt unexpected. The service was also disappointing—the staff came across as rude and unwelcoming, with no smiles or warmth. Additionally, the entrance was confusing and not very appealing; going downstairs gave the impression of entering a different venue, making it unclear whether we were actually entering Nusr-Et or another place. Overall, while the food was tasty, the service and first impression significantly detracted from the experience.

The atmosphere is great but I give 2 stars because as a an autistic the volume of the music was too loud. The table they gave me was where it was busy foot traffic. My waiter Drej was amazing!! And when the dessert came they did a nice show.

Nusr-Et Steakhouse in New York offers far more than just a meal; it delivers a world-class theatrical dining experience that is truly unforgettable. From the moment we stepped inside, the atmosphere was electric, luxurious, and beautifully designed—it truly felt like a special occasion. The service was flawless and highly attentive. Every staff member was professional and dedicated to ensuring our experience was spectacular, going above and beyond to make the evening feel unique. This level of dedication to the guest experience is what sets Nusr-Et apart. We enjoyed the spectacular signature steak. We did find the steak preparation, which uses a traditional clarified butter, to have a very bold flavor profile, and the baklava was made with a deeply aromatic traditional oil (likely sade yağ) that had a distinct, strong taste. While these flavors weren't exactly to our personal preference, we recognize they are authentic elements of the traditional Turkish preparation and add to the unique cultural experience of the restaurant. If you prefer simpler flavors, it's something to be aware of! Finally, be prepared for the premium pricing, as the cost reflects not just the quality of the ingredients, but the exceptional level of service and the dazzling, high-energy environment you are paying to enjoy. Overall, if you are looking for an energetic, luxurious night out with amazing service and an incredible atmosphere,

Halal options are available, the server will explain & there is alcohol served on the premises. We were immediately seated, service was good but could’ve been a bit better. The food was good but it is overpriced. We ordered salad, fish, a burger, steak and oysters. Def recommend ordering the baklava & steak so you can have the server experience.

Food was Incredible! Loved every dish more than the last. Atmosphere was also beautiful and clean. The other servers were great, our server Sharna seemed to not bother to care for us while being attentive to other tables. I’d go back in hopes of getting another server. Delish food though!

Not worth the hype or the price. Steak was good but not anything worth the excessive price. Our steak was actually over cooked. They forgot our side and didn’t bring it until we almost finished the meal so we sent it back. Sides are small. They don’t give you the option in the beginning to ask for tap and automatically bring you bottled still or sparkling then charge you for it. At the end of the meal, they messed up the bill and despite trying to correct it we were still over charged. On the positive the place is nice and lively but music can be a little loud if you are trying to have a conversation across a big table. Much better steak options at this price point in NYC.

Came here for lunch with some friends. We got the $39 lunch special. My friends got the filet mignon and I got the New York steak which was a bad choice on my end. I shoukd have sent it back because I asked for medium rare and it was brown through but not because it was cooked, but because it was old. I saw another girl order the same thing and hers was red on the inside while mine was brown but mushy and soft inside (see pic) However, I will say the special salad is good although there was too much dressing, the mashed potatoes were nice and creamy, and the cheesecake and ice cream were acceptable. What I’m saying is… don’t order the New York steak.

The food itself was merely average and unremarkable. What truly made this experience unacceptable, however, was the service. Our server consistently failed to perform even the most basic duties. Ice was forgotten, water was never refilled, and despite requesting the check, it was repeatedly ignored. When we finally had to ask again for both water and the check, there was no apology, no acknowledgment, and not even the slightest attempt at professionalism or courtesy. What made this experience especially frustrating was the timing. This was a restaurant visit on the very last day of the year—a moment when one would reasonably expect at least a minimum level of attentiveness and hospitality. Instead, we were met with indifference and poor service throughout the meal. Service defines the dining experience, and in this case, it completely failed. This was a deeply disappointing way to end the year, and I have no intention of returning.

I visited Nusr-Et in Istanbul and had an excellent experience, so I was expecting something similar from this branch — but it fell far short. The service was very poor, and the meal was wildly overpriced. The staff lacked professionalism and attention, which made the entire experience disappointing. Management should seriously address the service quality. Overall, I felt scammed. Not recommended at all. Avoid this place.
