I had an amazing dinner at Quality Meats. I ordered the tomahawk and it was cooked perfectly, super tender, and full of flavor. The truffle butter made it even better and was definitely worth adding. The caviar slider was a fun standout, and the oysters were fresh and delicious. The dirty martini was strong and well made, exactly what you want from a good steakhouse cocktail. For dessert, the gooey toffee was rich, warm, and the perfect ending to the meal. The service was excellent. Our server was incredibly attentive, kind, and made the whole experience feel even more elevated. Everything came out with great timing and the attention to detail really showed. Overall, Quality Meats delivered a memorable experience with amazing food, strong drinks, and top‑tier service. I would absolutely go back.
Wait time: immediate, RSVP is highly encouraged! It’s quick and easy to do online or by calling. Hostess: Kind, Friendly and welcoming. We were promptly greeted and showed to our table. Server: Our server Stacy was phenomenal, she provided us the most in depth knowledge of the menu and gave us some great recommendations! Thank you for the amazing service, you were so sweet and polite. Food: Everything was exquisite, and so well prepared. The flavor combinations explode in your mouth from the minute the food hits your tongue. Our group ordered and rated the following. It’s the most delicious side you’ll ever have. It’s a house favorite. DESSERT -Sticky Toffee Pudding (10/10) MUST HAVE Ambiance: Beautiful design, floor outline and table placements. Lighting is optimal and clear to fully read the menu without squinting. Music was just perfect and great choices being played. We could still hold a conversation without yelling. Everything came out at the same time. The meats were perfectly cooked to the requested temperatures. Wine selection is unbelievably large and they also provide recommendations for pairing with your food. Kitchen closes at 3 to prepare for dinner, but the restaurant is still open (don’t let the online time confuse you)
Had an incredible dinner at Quality Meats! The Porterhouse steak was the star of the show, perfectly cooked and incredibly tender. We paired it with a great red wine and the Brussels sprouts as a side, which were flavorful and crispy. The atmosphere is upscale yet rustic. Highly recommend for any steak lover in NYC!
Had a great dinner here last night with some colleagues. Appetizers were amazing, I particularly liked the ribs, and the tuna tartar had some heat to it. The filet mignon was cooked perfectly medium rare. Cocktails were great too. Highly recommended.
First, I would like to start by saying thank you to the team at Quality Meats. My name is Sarah, and I had a reservation on Sunday, March 8. I wanted to take the time to share the amazing Sunday evening we experienced. My partner and I love exploring great restaurants in New York. Every year for his birthday, we make it a tradition to go to a great steakhouse because steak is his favorite. We had been to Quality Italian before, but he mentioned that he had never been to Quality Meats, so I made a reservation there. The day before our reservation, I called to confirm one more thing: my boyfriend uses a wheelchair, so I wanted to make sure the restaurant would be accessible. I was told that access would be possible in the bar or dining room area, although the restroom downstairs would not be accessible. They also said they would leave a note about it. However, when we arrived, we realized that the restaurant was not wheelchair accessible. At first, I was a bit surprised because it was different from what I had confirmed the day before. But within about three minutes, a manager Mark came out to speak with us and sincerely apologized. He explained that the building is quite old and unfortunately does not have wheelchair access, and that there must have been a miscommunication. He then kindly offered several options. He told us that Quality Italian, which is in a more modern building, has an elevator and is fully accessible. He offered to arrange a table for us there and even said that if there were any dishes from Quality Meats that we wanted, they could send them over. Even that level of consideration already meant a lot to us. So we moved to Quality Italian, and thanks to the team, we were still able to enjoy many of the wonderful dishes from Quality Meats. The two buildings are not connected, yet the manager and staff coordinated to bring the food over for us. Later we also found out that because it was my boyfriend’s birthday, many of the dishes were generously covered by the manager and the Quality Meats team. It truly made the evening unforgettable. It was an amazing dinner. The food, the atmosphere, and most importantly the care and attitude toward their guests were exceptional. If someone is only looking for a great meal, there are many places in New York I could recommend. But if someone wants an amazing meal and an unforgettable experience with incredible hospitality, I would absolutely recommend Quality Meats and Quality Italian. Everything—from the appetizers to the entrées to the desserts—was outstanding. And one small tip: be careful not to order too much, or you might not have room left for dessert! Once again, thank you to everyone at Quality Meats, and especially to the manager Mark, for helping create a memory that we will never forget.
All the food was amazing as expected from quality branded. Mark the GM was very kind and accommodating. Get the QM Bacon and the $9 truffle butter add on with whatever steak you choose. It’s worth it! Also, always save room for dessert at any Quality restaurant. It’s always the most memorable part of the meal for me!
This is definitely my favorite steakhouse! The steaks are always cooked perfectly (we ordered medium), full of flavor, and the quality is consistently amazing. The server was amazing and the atmosphere was great. Made the whole dining experience even better.
We came sunday night for a friends bday dinner. We ordered a bunch of apps, sides and 6 steaks to share family style. Waiters were attentive and friendly. Must orders are the corn crème brûlée (more like a dessert), 28 day dry aged prime porterhouse, and spicy brussels sprouts. the yellowtail crudo and beef tartare were also pretty good. make sure you get the porterhouse medium rare, it’s delicious and tender, and goes so well with the home made steak sauce. The space is super old school and cool, love the decor. there’s 3 levels so lowkey a maze to find your table again if you are to leave for any reason. Definitely gets busy so a reservation is recommended esp with a larger party. The prices are on par with nyc steakhouses, but definitely on the expensive side but worth it for a nice occasion!
We celebrated my wife Katie’s 40th birthday at Quality Meats and trusted our entire dinner to Nick and it turned out to be one of the best dining experiences we’ve ever had. From the start, Nick curated the evening with absolute precision. Every selection felt intentional, balanced, and perfectly timed. Courses flowed seamlessly, flavors built on each other, and nothing felt excessive or underwhelming. It was clear we weren’t just ordering dinner, we were being guided through an experience. What stood out most was the confidence and care behind the choices. We never once questioned a dish. Each plate arrived better than the last, and the pacing allowed us to actually enjoy the night rather than feel rushed or overwhelmed. For a milestone birthday, that matters. Quality Meats already has an excellent reputation, but letting Nick take the wheel elevated it to something special. If you’re celebrating something important or simply want to experience the restaurant at its best, do yourself a favor and go the “In Nick We Trust” route. Truly memorable.
Everything about this restaurant screams quality. From when you step in the door to when you leave, you are constantly reminded that this is not a typical restaurant, this place is special. The food was amazing, especially the bacon peanut butter dish, which was unique and excellent. Our steak was also cooked to perfection! I will definitely stop by again when I’m back in New York!
The food was very good and came out quickly. The service was excellant and all the dishes were uniquely plated. You can tell the kitchen team enjoy plating good food! There atmosphere had a layed back vibe and had a variety of levels for dining, intimate space, bar space, or business occasion. We had a business dinner for four people but it was a little tight on seating, and a touch loud but that is NYC for ya. I would definitely eat there again!
You can just feel when you walk in that you’re in for an unforgettable experience! Checked all the boxes. Had pretty high expectations going in and we felt even better walking out. Had the Tomahawk, filet, meatballs along with most of the sides and everything was 5 star. Stacy was fantastic! Add this to your list of must visits.
Perfectly cooked and dry aged steaks, this place did not miss! The seafood tower had a great selection of fresh shellfish. The caviar and crème fraîche topped waffle chips were so delicious and rich, we especially enjoyed these and even ordered another for the table. The quality of the food and excellent service makes this restaurant a must try if you’re in New York
Incredible meal! We had the porterhouse steak to share and some sides, our server was lovely and recommended the bacon, jalapeño and peanut butter starter which we were not convinced by but was almost as good as the steak!! We also were treated with the corn crème brulee for my birthday treat will definitely suggest to anyone wanting a high quality steak in nyc!!
Quality Meats – The Perfect NYC Steakhouse Experience 🥩✨ If you’re craving a luxe night out in the city, Quality Meats is the spot. From the moment you walk in, the ambiance hits warm lighting, cozy but upscale energy, and that classic New York steakhouse charm with a modern twist. I started with a glass of white wine at the bar (10/10 vibes). The staff was so attentive and made me feel taken care of the entire evening. For dinner, I had the filet mignon cooked to absolute perfection juicy, tender, and full of flavor. The sides were unreal crispy brussels sprouts, creamy mac & cheese, and the most buttery dinner rolls. Everything looked and tasted amazing. Then came dessert… oh my God. The sticky toffee pudding with vanilla ice cream and caramel drizzle was pure heaven sweet, rich, and the perfect ending to an unforgettable meal. If you love fine dining with personality, this place deserves a top spot on your list. Whether you’re celebrating something special or just treating yourself, Quality Meats delivers elegance, flavor, and that signature NYC magic. 📍 Midtown, NYC 🍷 Must-try: Filet Mignon + Sticky Toffee Pudding 💫 Perfect for: Date night, business dinner, or solo luxury dining moment
With so many steakhouses in NYC, it’s tough to choose just one for dinner—but I’m glad we went with a friend’s recommendation and tried Quality Meats! This spot feels like a modern gem. The service was more casual and in line with a regular restaurant than a traditional upscale steakhouse, but the food absolutely delivered. We started with their unique bacon appetizer topped with peanut butter and jalapeños—unexpected, but surprisingly delicious. For dinner, we had the porterhouse, gnocchi, and waffle fries. Everything was cooked perfectly, and the wine pairing tied it all together beautifully. Overall, Quality Meats lived up to its name. Great food, relaxed atmosphere, and very affordable for the quality. I’ll definitely be coming back!
Great food, great service, great atmosphere. Loved everything about this restaurant. For a steakhouse I think it is very casual, not at all stuffy. Caviar sliders were very good and being able to order by the piece allows you to try it and still have room for everything else. Tartare was very good. Mixed table side is a nice presentation but the tables are very small so it is a little cramped. Steak cooked to perfection and seasoned well. Its a very little thing but for me little things natter, there is a pepper mill and small bowl of salt on every table. That isn’t common lately and I think it’s a great touch especially at a steak house. The green goddess salad was okay. Nothing special. Wine selection is vast with many price points. The sommelier was very helpful. Overall a great dining experience and will definitely return.
🥩✨ Quality Meats lives up to its name—and then some. I quite literally rolled out of here in pure, steak-induced happiness. The space has that classic New York charm: cozy, dim, candlelit basement vibes with a bar upfront and two large dining areas that feel both intimate and lively. I went with wine (because… steak, obviously), while my friend started with a margarita that sadly tasted like a flat Sprite—she joined me on team wine soon after. They kick things off with warm bread rolls and a Caesar salad that perfectly sets the tone. For the main event, we split the prime porterhouse, carved by the “meat master,” and it was perfection—juicy, rich, and more than enough for three of us with sides. Speaking of sides… do not skip the corn crème brûlée. Sounds weird, tastes magical—you’ll wish you ordered two. Other standouts: Parmesan waffle fries, spicy Brussels sprouts, whipped potatoes, broccoli and cheese bites, and the Yorkshire creamed spinach. Dessert? Couldn’t do it. Not because I didn’t want to—just because my jeans said absolutely not. If you want a true New York steakhouse experience with sexy ambiance, solid service, and food that hits every craving, Quality Meats is the move.
Quality Meats is amazing! The garlic bread appetizer was sprinkled with sea salt and rosemary, served with butter — soft, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. The Steak Tartare was fresh and perfectly balanced; mix it with the seasoning and egg, spread on the crispy bread — so good. Their signature Baked Oysters were rich in flavor, with just a squeeze of lemon to cut through the cheese, making every bite delicious. The Dry Aged Porterhouse Steak for two (28-day dry-aged) was my first time trying dry-aged beef — the flavor was intense and locked in beautifully. Cooked to medium-rare, it was incredibly juicy and much better than regular fresh steaks. The Quality Potato, cheesy mashed potatoes topped with waffle-cut chips, was indulgent and creamy — exactly how I like it. Their wine selection is extensive, and the white wine I tried was excellent. The ambiance is also impressive — classy, cozy, perfect for dates, gatherings with friends, or business dinners. Highly recommend this spot to anyone looking for a top-notch steakhouse on Manhattan Island. Rating (out of 5): • Environment: 5/5 – great atmosphere, stylish, perfect for all occasions. • Food: 5/5 – outstanding flavors and quality.
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ This was my first visit to this location, dining as a table of two. The restaurant was at roughly 65% capacity, creating a lively yet comfortable atmosphere. Service began a touch slowly, with about a 5–8 minute wait before our server arrived, though another staff member promptly provided water, allowing us time to settle in and explore the menu. I began with the Smokey Gimlet, a well-balanced cocktail that set the tone for the evening. For our appetizer, we chose the meatballs with gorgonzola sauce. The meatballs were tender and well-seasoned, while the sauce added a creamy richness without overpowering. For our main course, we ordered two 10oz filet mignons — one medium and one butterflied medium-well. Both were delivered at precisely the requested temperatures, a testament to the kitchen’s consistency. The accompaniments elevated the experience: house-made truffle butter that paired beautifully with the steaks, silky whipped potatoes, baby carrots with pecans offering a pleasant sweetness and crunch, a unique corn brûlée with subtle caramelization, and charred garlic broccoli that provided a smoky, savory counterpoint. We concluded with the toffee pudding cake, which arrived moist and indulgent, complemented by a luscious sauce that tied the dessert together seamlessly. The overall execution of the meal was exceptional. Our server mentioned that the chef prepares approximately 20,000 steaks annually, and the precision of our dishes reflected that expertise. From start to finish, this was a thoughtfully crafted dining experience, and one I would highly recommend.
This place! Wonderful. Delicious. Excellent service that went above and beyond. We had a large group and young ones with us. They were courteous and accommodating. The food was Michelin star worthy. The only thing I didn’t care for was the house steak sauce, but the steaks we ordered didn’t need it.

Solo lunch reservation for my birthday! I take the train down to Manhattan a lot but this was my first time eating an American style cut of steak. I tend to gravitate to Asian or Italian dining when I'm in the city. My reservation was 12:30 but I showed up at noon. They seated me no problem. 2 tables were already there. About 6-7 tables showed up after me. The service and ambience were great. Although I did think it was curious that the table that arrived after me was served their meal before me while I watched my meal sit for a few minutes. I ordered the Grilled Broccoli and Whipped Potatoes as sides. Very good! I do think the portions were a bit much but it would have been good split between 2-3 persons. My entree was the Filet Mignon. Medium Rare. It was overall good but I found the crust to be overly salty and there some hard to cut spots throughout the steak. I had to put in some effort to cut through. I will say that I'm an okay home cook and I think I could've cooked a steak on par to this so I'm not convinced it was worth the cost. I ordered the sticky toffee pudding which was very good! Even though I was very full. They sent their Humor Me sundae on the house which was greatly appreciated! It really tastes like a Good Humor bar. They even nailed that artificial taste which I didn't find particularly pleasant lol.
Good experience overall but food was a bit of a let down. Started with the complementary bread which was quite salty but so good. For starters, we enjoyed the ribs, salad, and salmon. All were okay. Wish the salmon portion was slightly bigger and wish the ribs had more depth of flavor and was more tender. Corn crème brûlée was surprisingly really great! Then came the steak which was a disappointment. Several pieces were tough and hard to cut and chew. Also lacked flavor and could have used a lot more salt. The best part of the steak was the side of sauce. At this point, if the steak is not good, it’s an uphill battle. Despite the food being subpar, service was attentive and excellent. The interiors are also beautiful. Dark, but not too dark, and loud but not noisy.
I won't bury the lede--my friend raved about the steak here, and we didn't even think about it; came to try the 28 Day Dry-Rubbed Porterhouse for Two. It was... excellent. Flavorful and incredibly we…

Upscale decor and nice atmosphere in this busy establishment. Overall the service was attentive, but not friendly or engaging. Food was mostly good although filet was not up to typical steakhouse standard (dry) and several sides were extremely rich or sweet. A fine place for a nice dinner, but leans more to expense account than a true 5* in terms of experience.

Quality Meats: Where Midtown Steak Dreams Come True
You know, sometimes you just crave a really, really good steak. Not just any steak, but one that leaves an impression. That's exactly the kind of experience you'll find at Quality Meats, tucked away in the bustling heart of Midtown Manhattan.I've heard friends rave about this place, and it’s for good reason. My go-to recommendation, and frankly, what many folks seem to flock here for, is the 28 Day Dry-Rubbed Porterhouse for Two. Let me tell you, it lives up to the hype. It's incredibly flavo
