Great cozy pub to enjoy on a rainy afternoon! Very attentive staff, clean bathroom, excellent food and good sized menu.

What a great actual bar. We stopped in while killing some time before a family event, and im actually just upset its not near my house. It's a very cozy but very friendly bar. Makes me want to come back to city island for sure

Today was our first time visiting City Island for a family event. We decided to get to the island early and were in desperate need of a snack. We stumbled across The Snug and were super satisfied. The Snug is so adorable with nice quick items on the food menu, and serving one of the best Mimosa I've ever had. The bartender was so awesome! She made us feel like we're were at home and gave us some great insight about City island and what is going on. I definitely recommend this awesome local stop when exploring City island!

Came with company on Sunday to have nice dinner and we were extremely disappointed: clam chowder soup was the worst in my life and from can; oreganata clams - horrible, potatoes - just ok. We ate crackers and left to other place for food. Never again !!!!!

Shepherd’s pie without a crust, $20 for mashed potatoes over a layer of hamburger meat w/ pea and carrots. (charged me $2 for asking for bread) Atmosphere : the Beer maid is dating a 55 yo, father has Cancer and mother is vague but seems to be contentious…. A lot of old people just walking in and out I wanted to enjoy it given all the Pride Flags but I was really disappointed and if I went back to Ireland and told them about this dish called Shepherds Pie in America they would die of a heart attack
