I have a soft spot for the owner, Annie who originally had her first restaurant one block up on Nostrand for almost 20yrs. She shut down took a break and started again, because she missed us, her neighborhood peeps. That's a Real staple in our Crow Hill/Crown Heights community! The menu at Annie's 88 Express has stepped up, with lots of healthy options. The sit-down area is quaint and always clean. The kitchen is clean and they work fast as a team and the prices are right for the amount of food you receive. Even the delivery is tight to your door and timely.

Every now and again I order food from here and I always enjoy the food. I like the staff and the food always tastes great. However, I recently ordered some Lo Mein and I found a piece of metal in my food. I was so surprised to see that. I cannot within my good conscience keep quiet about it. For the future I would just hope for the staff to be more careful preparing people's food.

Updated...New management.. First off, the food is not as good as it used to be. Secondly, they now expect customers to pay upfront. Lastly, I witnessed them coldly turn away trick-or-treating kids in the neighborhood last Halloween... it totally turned me off.

I spent over ten minutes on the phone trying to explain what I wanted to order which was a small shrimp w. fries & the lady abruptly said “we dont do that! we dont do that! sorry I cant take this order!” when a majority of chinese spots do actually do that. she didnt even ask if I wanted to do the shrimp and fries separately and kept getting loud on the phone. I hung up cause I was losing my patience. It shouldn’t be that difficult to order something so simple, and Im confused as to why shrimp and fries isnt an option when its an option everywhere else. very complicated for some takeout food but okay.

I've known Annie since the 1990's and She's been a fixture in the neighborhood ever since. My family and friends patronizes her restaurant because they live high off the Hog. I'm strictly Kosher/Halal and my favorite spot is called "No Pork Halal Kitchen Chinese restaurant" which is located downtown Brooklyn on the corner of 4th Ave and Dean Street about a block away from the Barclays center. The Chinese workers there are of the Muslim faith. They address you as "Brother or Sister" and greet you in the words of peace, As-Salaam-Alaikum. The food is always fresh and you don't have to beg for Soy sauce, Duck sauce or Mustard, they're located below the front counter and you can take as much as you want.

Yery disrespectful workers Was very rude to medgar evers students on many occasions one day i was n there the man banged a large metail container on the ground so hard i thought it was an gunshot i never returned i felt that that racist Chinese can take we money but dont respect the fact we patronize n pay their bills because the young crowd that spend money everyday there was talkn loud he then started throwing food he fixed at on the counter dont disrespect us especially my young brown n black skinned people

I called them and went back and they claimed that it was indeed General Tso Chicken.the first pict is the real deal. Well they kept the food and didn’t give me my back. NEVER AGAIN will I ever return.

I called back the next day and the lady that answered told me I should've called earlier to complain and just throw the food away because there's nothing she could do. No refund or exchange. They just lost a loyal customer. Get some customer service skills and learn how to treat people!

This place only survives because of lack of knowledge and people not using apps like grubhub or seamless. There are SOOO many better options in the neighborhood. I struggle sometimes because the other places have a longer wait time but patience is a virtue. I don't plan to eat here again. They've consistently messed up my order (the lady ALWAYS repeats it but it still comes wrong) - missing iced tea or shrimp roll or something.
