They make a consistently solid and velvety cortado. One of the few coffee shops that makes pastries in-house.
A great spot for a quick bit of food and coffee. What was most amazing was the prices! They seemed to be more affordable than most coffee spots in the city. Both a coffee and a pastry should be less than $10 total.
had an iced latte and a ham and cheese croissant here. both were great (although an iced latte is pretty simple so I expected what I got) and the croissant was delicious. much more flavorful than I expected and had a perfect chewy bite. I will say my stomach started panging and hurting immediately after having the croissant…but I won’t deck points for it because I’m going to assume I have a sensitive stomach and it’s not a reflection on their quality of food. lastly, the service was super speedy. I was in an out in like 1 minute, which is great if you’re stopping by before work or something! will return! :)
Great little coffee stand right by Fort Green Park. Such a perfect location and simple idea. There’s a little takeaway counter and all drinks are to go. They have a few tables out front but we took ours to the park. The staff was super friendly and the drinks were great. The cold brew was a *little* heavy on the cream, so maybe just specify if you want less (see picture for context!). They ask how many sugars for each drink so you can really customize. Overall both the cold brew and the iced latte were delicious and we will definitely be back!
Super friendly staff that helped with recommendations for my first time there - got the ham croissant, a latte, and a doggy treat. Friendly vibes from the other people in line and enjoying their coffee outdoors. Plus they were impressively quick! Need to go back for the blackberry scone :)
The Maple latte is delicious. Staff are always nice and friendly. It is a bit cramped especially when there is a line but overall a decent spot. A bit overpriced but most coffee shops in the neighborhood are.
$6 for the almond croissant. Medium in size and tasty, but a steep price. I only go here when there is no line (not sure it's worth the queue out the door). Staff are smiley and kind.
I have bought iced latte and cinnamon bun and both were delicious 4 stars because I asked staff what was fav pastry ( he recommended cinnamon bun) which ended up pretty old ( still tasty tho) Plastic covers for coffee have bad design: i spilled coffee three times… coffee spreads on top of the cover and spills on the sides of the hole.
I really wanted to like this place and support a local Brooklyn business, but unfortunately I had a very upsetting experience. I ordered a ham and cheese croissant along with an oat milk chai latte. I walked a few blocks while eating my breakfast and suddenly became extremely nauseous and ended up throwing up on the side of the street. I called the restaurant to let them know what happened. The first person I spoke to told me that I should have disclosed that I have a nut allergy and explained that they make homemade almond milk, almond croissants, and use the same tongs for all of the food. I explained that I had stood in the store for a while, carefully looking at the menu board and the menu posted on the glass, and there was no notice anywhere about nut cross-contamination or shared equipment. Her response felt very insensitive, especially after I told her I was literally bent over vomiting on the sidewalk after leaving their store. She took no accountability for the lack of disclosure. She then passed the phone to a gentleman who was much more sympathetic and apologized for the situation. I explained to him how serious nut allergies are and that I didn’t order a cookie or obvious nut-based pastry—something I am normally extra cautious about with baked goods. Nut allergies are common and dangerous, and there absolutely should be a written disclosure on the menu or at the register warning customers of possible cross-contamination. Luckily, my allergy causes my body to immediately reject the food. Had this turned into an anaphylactic reaction, I could have been in real danger—I was walking my dog, didn’t have an EpiPen on me, and could have suffocated before getting home. While I appreciated the second person’s apology, the initial response and lack of clear allergen warnings were deeply concerning. I don’t see myself returning. I genuinely want to support small businesses, but this is the kind of situation that likely wouldn’t happen at a place like Starbucks where food handling and allergen disclosures are more standardized. I truly hope they take this feedback seriously, because this could happen to another customer—or even a child—and the consequences could be far worse.
I ordered a vegan sandwich and OAT milk latte. The person taking the order was fantastic and kind. We took our order to go. The sandwich was good, but they served me a WHOLE milk latte (which I only drank 1/3 of). I’m severely allergic to dairy, so I spent the next two days dealing with my horrible reaction.
