Great food, prices, cocktails, and beautiful environment. Service is outstanding and very low-key neighborhood feel to the place.
Great neighborhood spot with friendly service, good food, and excellent cocktails. Very kid friendly with toys and games on deck.
Love this place. Not only is is a great atmosphere, great food, but I can also bring my 5 year old and she can play with toys.
The restaurant is at the highest level! The food is divine, the service is excellent, the staff is professional, the atmosphere is super!
Duck ragu, Manchego Mash, and bacon vinaigrette were so good. I'll definitely order from Della again!
delicious. branzino is spectacular. never had a dish there I didn't like. reasonable prices.
A hidden gem! Everything - salad, entrees, dessert, cocktails - was very, very good. Can't wait to go again.
This is a neighborhood spot with amazing food. You might have to wait a little for.the food on some nights but it is always worth it because everything is delicious.
Delicious house made pasta dishes. Super friendly wait staff! Great neighborhood spot.
New ownership has been really killing it. Food is great every single time we go, friendly service and a nice, relaxed atmosphere. The duck ragu is phenomenal.
Has everything you want in a nice dinner out. Not that big of a place which makes it that much better. The short rib is one of the best you’ll find out there. Drinks are on point and seems the wine menu is popular.
We showed up without a reservation on a Saturday night. They were able to seat us outside, which I preferred, and it was lovely out. The food was really great! Delicious and interesting!
Really lovely place; great ambience in the garden space (which is in the back and so off the main roads) and we felt very comfortable eating there while maintaining social distancing rules. Food was excellent and very friendly/helpful service as well. Will definitely come here again.
The drinks are strong, the food was absolutely delicious. Full of flavor and fresh ingredients. I will definitely go back. Highly recommend.
Atmosphere, food was awesome. 100% recommended. Service 10/10. No doubt I’ll visit again.
Della is a fantastic local spot that could thrive in soho, but I’m glad it’s here in Windsor Terrace. The food is amazing and the service is just wonderful. If you’re having a hard time choosing, pick the duck ragu. I have a hard time not choosing it every time I visit.
Super cute place. Drinks are pretty well priced. And I loved my pasta dish (pappardelle with duck ragu). The short rib was a little overcooked.
Fantastic experience. The cocktails are local, really really local. The food was excellent from appetizer to dessert. Back yard looks really cool too.
Excellent, quaint little Italian restaurant. I love their octopus, olives and wine by the glass selection. Great place for a date as it is not too loud.
A real gem in a hidden part of Brooklyn: interesting menu, nice wine list, great service. The place is small, so get there early or make a reservation!
Really fortunate to have such a great spot in the neighborhood. Great food, attentive and friendly service, nicely appointed too. This neighborhood place can hold it's own anywhere.
Stumbled upon this spot since we were in the area. Staff was very friendly and loved the atmosphere. The food was also fantastic, highly suggest the Branzino.
Cool little place hidden amid a quaint neighborhood. Small. Intimate. Great food and personal service. $$. Good spot to take a date. Would visit again.
Della could thrive in SoHo with it's vintage train car interior and fresh-made pastas, eclectic menu and sophisticated cocktails. It is cosy and cool. If this is the future of the neighborhood, I suggest buying property.
absolutely stellar menu, elegant interior and delicious food. if you’re looking for a good italian place — this is it!
The duck ragu is the stuff of fantasy. Feels family-run and down to earth. There are probably dishes that are not as good as the ragu but whatever. The meatballs are also incredible.
One of my favorite restaurants in New York. Cute and chill vibe. The food, dessert and cocktails are soo good 🩶
Portions are measured but price is good, good house wine, I had an amazing spare rib and it’s cozy AF.
Had a great night at Della! Delicious food and amazing service. Wish I could give it more than 5 stars!
Delicious food n atmosphere was perfect! Live down the block and this was my first time and it wont be the last. And service was very nice!
Great cocktails, one of the better manhattans we’ve ever enjoyed. The food and service was also top notch as well.
Visited this family owned and operated spot for dinner with a friend. Indoor dining is cozy and warm. They have interesting cocktails and we both liked what we ordered. Had the eggplant and muchroom entrees, and both deserts! Everything was delicious and the service was great.
An amazing atmosphere, delicious food, and great service at Della Valle. They have a beautiful spacious patio perfect for family dinners. Got a pappardelle with duck ragu, lip smacking good with tender duck and amazing flavors perfectly put together. Will come again!
Nice local spot. Food was delicious and the mocktails were the best I've had not just some juice mixed together like a lot of places do.
What a fantastic new find in Windor Terrace for us. Had a very pleasant experience with fun wait staff. The food was out of this world. Duck wings were amazing and the short ribs melted in your mouth. Good cocktails. Great atmosphere. Service could have been a bit quicker, but they were attentive when they came by. Will definitely return!
Came here on Tuesday night to celebrate my birthday with my family. The atmosphere was warm and cozy. The waiter and owner were great. Very family friendly and down to earth. The food was excellent. Would definitely come here again.
We came in on a Monday night. They have a nice outdoor seating area, but we opted to stay inside with the AC. Our server Maria was terrific. We shared gnocchi with mushrooms, a grilled eggplant and fennel dish that was served over an amazing chickpea polenta, and mussels, clams and shrimp in a savory broth. We finished with the pot de crème and the lemon 🍋 dessert. The place was cozy and the food was amazing
I loved my Saturday evening dinner at Della with a close friend. We sat in the two person booths near the bar and it was a perfect place to watch the drinks being made at the bar and food in the small, open kitchen. They have a nice cocktail menu (though heavy on gin, which I don't love) and I had a great Kings & Saints cocktail that wasn't too strong. For dinner, I was craving meatballs and mashed potatoes and was NOT disappointed at all. The space is really cute with a backyard area that I believe is open in the summer, so I'll have to come back. Go here for the decor if nothing else and be impressed with the food. The place is wheelchair-accessible in both seating (up front at tables), and in entrance, though the one restroom I used did not have a wide doorway, so I'd call ahead.
Recommended by a friend, Della is a charming place tucked away in a typical Brooklyn neighborhood. The food was excellent and the service was friendly and accommodating. Four of us got different dishes and all of them were thoroughly enjoyed. We had a delightful conversation with Jeremiah, one of the owners, and learned more about the neighborhood. Will definitely be back on my next trip to the city!
Enjoyed a lovely dinner tonight at Della - a great little spot in Prospect Park Brooklyn that sits in a beautiful residential neighborhood. With outdoor dining options and a lovely cozy bar area - it’s the perfect ‘neighborhood’ place to enjoy a drink (or more), some really thoughtful cuisine - in a relaxed environment. The farro salad was delicious with small manchego cheese bits in it, and the salmon was cooked perfectly with a creamy mash below and perfectly sautéed grape tomato halves. All paired with a light Verdicchio dei Castelli recommended by Lisa washed it down perfectly. Yum! To finish - the pairing of the key lime pudding with crumble below and the light chocolate mousse with a simple whipped cream dollop hit the spot. Didn’t think to ask about an after dinner drink…next time! A worthwhile spot to return to! The garden terrace area in the back is really cute - and rumor has it they’re making more improvements inside and out!
Always a great experience, from cocktails to appetizers, the main course to dessert. This is our personal favorite in the Windsor Terrace area. We're happy that Della opened close to our place so whenever we want a great meal, we can just walk to it.
Love Della!! Amazing cocktails, delicious food. Try a few things then keep going back for your favorites! My gluttonous splurge is ordering the roast chicken dish and the pesto pasta. Then eat half chicken with pesto one day and the other half of the chicken with the isreali couscous the next. (And i never order chicken from restaurants). Great people too!
Great menu, great cocktails, great service. It’s an eclectic hidden gem that has the confidence and the skill to pull it off. Almost didn’t want to share this with you lest they become too popular.
Wonderful food. We had the Bronzino and Baby Octopus. They put out olives. It would be nice if they also included bread since the entree portions aren't overly large.
This place is special. It's has a vibe. Intimate and family-run in the way I'd imagine a Brooklyn Italian restaurant would feel 50 years ago. We sampled the baby octopus, lamb ragu, gnocchi, and everything tasted homemade and amazing.
Excellent meal here. Cute space. Took the Uber driver a little extra effort to find it, but once we were there all was well. Terrific cocktails, friendly service. Modern Italian with interesting menu choices.
Such a perfect neighborhood spot, but also worth seeking out. Michael is a pro behind the bar, Jacqueline runs the place with aplomb, takes care of everyone like they are a VIP. The Dominican is outstanding.
Not sure where to start, but I will try. I moved to the neighborhood about 6 months ago, and while there are places to eat that are "fine", nothing really all that exciting. Then I went to Della. Before I get to the food, I need to say that love the interior. It's a cool vibe inside, and the mix of 2-seat booths and beautiful mid-century modern chaired tables are just beautiful. Wherever it was, I would like it, but it is an absolute gem of a place in the neighborhood. It's like nothing else around, and it just feels a little bit special inside. To the food -- it is top notch -- really, really good. Definitely start with the olives -- I never liked olives but these are a nice way to start the experience. I haven't yet tried all of the different appetizers, but the ones I have tried have also been outstanding. The wings are just the right size -- while I wanted more of, it would've spoiled my appetite. The crostini and the meatballs were also hits. For dinner, the Duck Ragu pasta, the bolognese and the roast chicken were all outstanding. I would say that if this place were in Soho or midtown, but I love that it is a local place. It really feels special in the neighborhood. Did I mention the drinks? I can be difficult to please sometimes at the bar, but the Manhattans were just right, and the other special drinks (like the intro to Aperol) ... just wow. Finally, to top it all off, the executive chef sat at the table and we chatted for a good part of the evening the third time I was there. The wait staff is helpful, attentive, and not overbearing. I will be back again and again. If you are anywhere near Windsor Terrace (or even if you aren't), this place is special and will be my go-to from now on.
First time there tonight, the owner, what a great guy great personality me and a friend of mine usually go to another place nearby but we said let’s try it. I’m telling you I’m a food critic. I always have something to say this place is delicious. I had to rock of lamb, I had nothing bad to say about it. It’s a must try.
Absolutely loved this experience. It was our first night in Brooklyn and we stumbled upon this gem. Everything we ordered was delicious. Cocktails were fun & yummy. We will be back!
Really delicious food and the cocktails are something else. To see the owner/chef/cocktail curator coming out to the garden to snip herbs for the cocktail you're about to have adds a special kick to the experience. A real family run restaurant that makes you feel at home. We never leave here thinking anything other than we want to eat all the other dishes on the menu. I love the octopus, my wife the shirt ribs. Chicken liver is also to die for. Yeah, we like it here.
It was an amazing experience, even on a Wednesday evening it had some traffic. It has a very short but delicious menu with additional daily specials. I ordered the duck wings, the pasta special and risotto, and the chocolate dessert. The food is so good you'll end up licking the plate. Overall the bar, the cozy ambiance and the friendly staff make it a must try.
The space is unique, effortlessly cool, and beautiful! Indoors feels intimate and sexy and the outdoors is a magical fairy space. Went with a bunch of friends and was lucky enough to sample so many of the apps, dishes, desserts, and drinks. HEAVEN!! We broke out in giggles and went on rants about how good everything is. Every dish is the best you’ve ever had! the cocktails are so spectacular that this doubles as a cocktail bar.
Great hidden spot in Brooklyn for a fun night with exciting cocktails and delicious bites. Staff are uber friendly and helpful, menu is varied and different to your regular fare, cocktail menu great! Nice atmosphere inside and there’s a sweet garden set up out the back. Highly recommended.
First time going here and would highly recommend. The service was excellent and didn’t feel rushed at all. The food was so good, short rib and lamb both really tasty and the baked potato that comes with it is a dream. Will definitely be coming back here, even just for drinks at the gorgeous bar!
Excellent meal!! Relaunch for this neighborhood gem and wow! The food was great!! Generous portions, wonderful flavors and friendly attentive service. Loved the pastas, branzino and excellent signature salad with eggplant, beets and goat cheese. Creative and yummy drinks too! We can’t wait to come back!
This place is a hidden gem! I went with 3 friends (one vegan) and everything was delicious. I was impressed by the interior, reminiscent of a subway train of old, with its curved metal roofs and it's modern patio space. I had the short ribs, they were tender and every bite was flavorful. My vegan girlfriend (yeah, I know) had the gnocchi also phenomenal. The other two had the lamb chops and cornish hen. A week later they are still talking about it. Now let's talk about the drinks. Mike, the bartender, was creating special drinks for everyone. Yes, we had the house specials first, all were amazing, but he had a conversation with each of us and created drinks for us based on the conversations. I think they recruited him from Hogwarts, this dude was a wizard. If you ever want to do dinner and a movie, this is less than a 5-minute walk from Nighthawk Cinema and Prospect Park. Della Valle is a must go!
Easily the best undiscovered restaurant in Brooklyn. If you love short ribs, don’t bother reading this review, just go, they are delicious. New American and Italian dishes done with a great attention to detail. Every single dish has its own personality, and is hard to resist. For starters the Greek salad is excellent. This place knows their olives, and the olive plate is another great place to start. But wait…leave room for the fried chicken. A unique take on wings with a slightly spicy homemade sauce that was just the right amount of kick to keep it exciting without overpowering. Highly recommend. The Tagliatelle Bolognese is the star of the pasta dishes. Savory, rich and fragrant without being heavy, served with a cooked to perfection pasta. The basil and pesto is equally delicious, and if you are saving room for the main course, it is always a hard toss up between the two. Unlike many Italian restaurants, the entrees are just as good as the pasta, and I would say the short ribs and bronzino are in a league of their own. The bronzino is cooked in some sort of paper, a way I’ve never had before, and the tenderness and flavor is out of this world. The short ribs are the main reason I go, and everytime I bring a friend here they agree they are something special. An excellent cut of meat, cooked to perfection, with a really wonderful and unique sauce that I've never had anything like. Just really fantastic. The Chocolate lava cake is everything you want it to be, and if you don’t overstuff yourself on entrees, this is the one to get. The food is really Michelin level quality, and yet it has the laid back vibe and affordable prices of a small neighborhood restaurant. I’ve been here about ten times, and each and every time the service has been friendly and attentive. This place knows how to hire great waitstaff, and it shows. The architecture is unique, with a tunnel shape has a cozy Parisian vibe. It’s hard to choose whether to sit inside or in the backyard, with a relaxed more casual ambiance and lots of plants. The music has always been great, and because it is usually not crowded on a weeknight, this is 10/10 for a date. Romantic, but not so much that you couldn’t bring a family here as well. Finally, they have a first class bartender, with some really delicious mixed drinks and wine selection. I told him what I like, and he made me a drink I’ve never heard of, and now have a new favorite drink. From what I understand new owners took over last year, and really transformed this place. It’s only a matter of time before an influencer discovers it and there’s a line out the door, so in the meantime I would highly recommend checking out this quiet hidden gem in Windsor Terrace, it is worth the trip.
Had a wonderful dinner date at Della with friends on a Friday night. The food was amazing, and well priced. They actually had a great selection of food that was gluten free and dairy free which is a constant struggle for me personally. The interior is very cozy and comfortable. They also had a good selection of drinks, and the bartender was lovely! 10/10 🤌🏼♥️
Hidden Gem of a restaurant in Windsor Terrace. The inside is beautifully decorated and has a classy vintage vibe with a clean aesthetic. The pastas were fresh and perfectly cooked, i really enjoyed both the bolognese and the mushroom gnocchi. This place is definitely staying on my restaurant list as a local.
After an evening out, I was looking for some good food . I found rhis place on Google maps and decided to call . It was after 9 the owner answered and told me to come . I arrived in 15 minutes and was greeted by the staff, 2 gentlemen both welcoming. I sat down, and the owner handed me the menu and went over the specials for the night. Alright, now for the food and drinks. Drink pineapple mojito 10/10 simple and to the point. Appetizer I forgot the name but it was a bread boat with cheese and a cracked egg in the center it was good. 8/10 ( not a fan of the egg) entre was a duck ragu with parpadelle house made pasta, it was so good, My first time having duck prepared that way 10/10. Lastly, the desert was a lava cake with vanilla ice cream ( the table across had creme Brulee & the strawber shortcake they polished it lmaoooo) . I was dining alone, and the owner and I had a pleasant small talk he was so nice. Food and service were overall great. I'm happy I stumbled across this place. I will be backkkkkkk.
If I had to describe it in one word.... I'd say "COZY". Farro Salad - delicious! Roast Chicken - enormous! ( generous portion of Israeli cous cous, garlicky sautéed spinach & 2 airline breasts. My boss ordered the Branzino and it was so good they ordered a second portion. And the cocktails were creative & fun too. All around great experience.
Such an amazing dinner at this cozy restaurant. The group I was with ordered several different things (pasta with duck ragu, crusted pork tenderloin with marsala sauce and mushrooms, and pasta with pesto sauce) and each were incredibly good. The pasta was fresh and well made, and my pesto sauce was some of the best I've ever had. We each got cocktails as well and they were delicious. Our waitress was so friendly and attentive, as were several other members of the staff. Highly recommend!
Great cocktails but tiny amount, one of them had almost no alcohol. Service was great.
The food was decent, we sat in the back in late February and the heating was an issue. It would come on and be loud and hot then go off and get chilly.
Many menu items weren't available. However, what was available was tasty!
Havent had the food, but the cocktails were good. Atmosphere is cosy.
Excellent food, great staff and lovely little restaurant! Highly recommend for a quick bite or a longer meal.
Very attentive and friendly staff (we were served by the owner!). Went for brunch and had the poached eggs with "latkes" but it was really just hash browns. I'd definitely go back but I wouldn't order that again
Great service, drinks, and atmosphere. Food was mostly good but a bit pricey for the quality.
The fruits weren't fresh. But the salads were delicious. Mix thoughts about this place. Definitely cozy atmosphere.
An interesting mix. My 2 year old probably gives this 5 stars. She loved the selection of toys. My wife probably gave it 3 because she wasn't impressed with her clams nor the decor. I found it very friendly and it seems to have regulars who love it.
A bit fancy for what we needed, but they had available tables, so it worked! They did have a high chair but no kid cups or anything...the kid pasta portion was like a regular portion but quite good! The seafood pasta was delicious too.
Della has a new owner and they recently renovated. It looks really nice inside. They have a new kitchen and chef. The menu is a bit heavy on the red meat side, but I had the salmon and it was quite good. Also, the bartender is very friendly.
Cozy neighborhood restaurant. Dined there last night with my wife and 4 year old daughter. We had a lovely time. The staff were warm and friendly, and the cocktails and food were delicious and thoughtfully prepared.
Charming restaurant with a cute garden dining area. We have only eat here once--for dinner--and found the food tasty but a bit hit or miss. We had the chicken liver mousse, bagna cauda, stuff pork loin, cacciucco, and penelle mint pesto. The mousse was a bit too dense and thus seemed a bit pasty--not as light and smooth as one would expect for a mousse. The bagna cauda was tasty, but wish we had more things to dip in. The pork loin was on the dry side. The cacciucco was delicious. The penelle mint pesto was ok but we were too pre-occupied by our kid to make note of it. This restaurant is worth another visit.
2.5 stars Food: Farro salad and homemade meatballs for appetizers. Both were okay. For entrees, we had the cacciucco (seafood) and short rib and were disappointed with both. The seafood was not fresh (I could tell the shrimp was bought frozen from a supermarket) and the broth was way too salty. The short rib was dry and unappetizing. Price: $125 (includes drinks, dessert, and tip) Service: Friendly and attentive but really slow. The appetizers and entrees arrived almost half an hour apart. Place: Small and packed with too many tables so it was really loud when we visited one busy Friday evening. It was also not properly ventilated so we left with that peculiar kitchen smell all over us.
The food was absolutely delicious and flavorful, highly recommend it if you have nothing else to do that night and dont come here hungry. It took an hour for our main course to come out without any explanation from the staff. Maybe they were making my gnocchi from scratch, but I would've appreciated knowing if that was the case (before I ordered it). I had a non alcoholic fruit punch (yummy) which took 15 minutes to arrive, and another 10 minutes for salt and parmesan.
Appetizers were flavorful while the entrées were very good. Attention to detail seemed lacking. Two of us ordered the pork loin. One was at least a third smaller than the other. Descriptions in the menu did not exactly match what was on our plates.
The restaurant is cozy, and the flavors were good, but the restaurant seems very understaffed, with only one chef and one server. The meats we ordered: the short rib, duck and pork loin were dry and extremely tough, probably because there is only one chef who has to cook for the entire service. It’s a nice restaurant, with nice staff, but the food left something to be desired.
Made a reservation on Resy for a 7pm Saturday night date night, arrived at the restaurant and they were closed.
Went there last night- bad service, mediocre food and way too expensive for what it is. Not sure how this place got good reviews. Won't be going back.
Unfortunately, my wife and friends had a horrible experience. Been here before and it was excellent so not sure what happened this night. Server was inattentive, rude, and made too many mistakes with orders and did not rectify them. He dropped a fork, which was witnessed and told them to relax and that it was not dirty. Maybe an off night, but still not okay on the server's part.

Came here with my family for a Sunday dinner the other week. We've been in the area for over a decade and have eaten here a couple of times (original owners). We ordered several appetizers and the Rib Eye and Seafood Pasta - the day after, my husband and I were sick with food poisoning. We're just now fully-recovered after throwing up for days and trying to bring our fevers down. I reached out to kindly inform the owners via email and IG, letting them know and that we weren't looking for any consolation besides a refund of the dish that made us sick (the Seafood Pasta was the dish only my husband and I consumed) and they never bothered to respond. Terrible guest service/relations skills. So many other restaurants in the area (and in the entire borough) with better food and service, and owners/operators that actually care about their guests. Miss the old Della.
We went here to try short ribs and it was one of the worst bites I’ve ever had at a restaurant. This was very disappointing to say the least. I recoiled when I tried it because this dish was inedible with the amount of salt it had. It doesn’t sound typical to other peoples’ experiences but it was just very very bad and seemed like a mistake was made during cooking. Even more disappointing was there was no action to make up for this. Atmosphere is charming so it is a shame the experience was not.
