I had the pleasure of having my wedding here a week ago..it was by far the most beautiful night of our lives. Joe is amazing to work with. He is incredibly organized, detailed, professional, and knowledgeable. My husband and I are so happy that we chose Giandos to celebrate our wedding..my guests are still calling to rave about the beautiful views and food!!!

Ate here for Restaurant Week and chose the Penne vodka, a chicken dish with vegetables, and the Haagan Dasz ice cream. Let me tell you.... that penne vodka is the best penne vodka I've ever had!! Way better than the main dish! The workers were great and attentive too!

As my fiance and I were planning our wedding for about 200 guests it was really important to have it in Brooklyn; as we wanted our guests to get a small glimpse into our everyday lives that we built together over the years. After researching endlessly and visiting several locations it was looking like we would have to relocate elsewhere if we could not find a place in our budget. Giando on the Water was one of our last stops of the day, a random choice on our list that we found because we drove past it several times when we were out in Williamsburg late a couple of nights. We are so so glad we found Giando on a whim after we met with Joe and his assistant that day, it was one of the best decisions we made while planning our wedding. We wanted to have a modern affair and Giando had a vintage vibe and fairly clean look compared to more of the traditional catering halls we had steered away from and could work with our tastes. The huge selling point was the amazing view of the Williamsburg Bridge we would have as a backdrop all evening long and the huge outdoor patio where the cocktail hour would take place. If you are looking for a place for any kind of catered affair Giando is a complete diamond in the rough that you have to see in person to experience and appreciate. After discussing all our wants and our limitations with Joe we were able to negotiate a reasonable rate for a wedding in Williamsburg on a Saturday night due in large part to having it during the "off season" in March. Joe and his staff were so great throughout the entire planning, answering every question we had, managing every special request, and planning out every detail and moment of our wedding timeline including the little details that we had never even thought of or considered. We were able to bring in our own wedding cake instead of the one Giando would provide and were able to get additional items in cocktail hour to compensate the costs. Our wedding reception at Giando on the Water was so perfect and pretty much went off without a hitch, the entire staff was so helpful the whole evening and handled every request include our Mr. Met appearance. The cocktail hour was huge hit with our guests and we received rave reviews about the roasted pig station. The patio was a huge wow factor and everyone was outside to see the sunset over the bridge. The ballroom felt transformed after we brought in all our decorations and floral arrangements complimented by Giando's white tables and dishes. Good amount of floor space for our guest tables and nothing felt too packed or overcrowded, had plenty of space for our DJ, dance floor, and photo booth station. The dinner was surprisingly better that we had expected since we did not have a traditional tasting in advance, but understood in order to get a better price things would have to be sacrificed. We were concerned about the food since we never had a chance to taste anything, but were happy to try it for ourselves that night and heard from our guests that everyone's meal was delicious. Our wedding reception at Giando on the Water was so amazing and better than we could have ever expected, we cannot thank everyone there enough. All of our guests had an wonderful time from beginning to end and have told us how it was one of the best weddings they have ever been to and think we spent a fortune on it when we wound up spending a fraction of that. Thanks again Giando on the Water for an unforgettable evening in Brooklyn!!

My husband and I had a wonderful experience at this restaurant for Valentine's Day, complemented by a classy view.

Me and my wife had dinner for a friend's birthday and it was amazing. The service was great and the food was even better.

I must say best experience I've had, in a rented place. The staff are great make sure your doing okay and and listen to any suggestions you have about any changes you want to do with the space. The food is amazing, I got to say. The view of this place is would have you looking outside every second. During the summer the patio is open for rentals too, I can only imagine the experience sitting in the patio. The place is not expensive and easy to get too. It also has in n house parking, wheelchair entrance, elevator, etc. If you looking for a place for do a party I recommend this place 100000%.

I got married here and I go back all the time especially for my anniversary. The staff is excellent the food is delicious and of course the drinks. The ombionce is magnificent while the sun is setting its the best and most of all romantic while sitting with that special someone in your life.

I truly cannot say enough good things about Giando’s, my partner and I hosted an engagement dinner with 60 people in June and every part of the event exceeded our expectations. Joe was helpful from the beginning, spoke to him briefly on the phone and he immediately offered for us to come in and chat, tour the rooms. We ended up having a buffet style dinner downstairs with the patio. Our guests came in and out between the room and the patio, took pictures, danced, ate, you name it. You can’t go wrong with the gorgeous views of NYC but really, the staff was remarkable. Paul was our coordinator, he helped find me a place to change into my dress, he took pictures of my fiancé and I away from our crowd, he even went as far as going up before me to the changing room to turn on the air conditioning! Waiters and our bartender were so kind, they tirelessly took care of every request. They took incredible group photos of our family with skyline views, they came out perfect. I truly cannot say enough good things. We had the time of our lives. Thank you Joe and everyone else at Giando’s.

Great place to have a wedding, food service and views were unbelievable

We had a wonderful time at our most recent event. The service was spot on and the venue was picturesque to say the least. Splendid views of the city and the river.

One of the most epic wedding venues the city has to offer, I mean Dr. BD Wong of Law and Order SVU got married here for goodness sake! The views are spectacular and the layout is natural and ideal so everyone feels included . Massive bridal suite upstairs and very attentive staff. Great bar and liqour selection. Wonderful accoustics and lighting. The bride is already stunning on her own, but you cannot beat that sunset backdrop and the views. It's a fairytale and worth waiting for if you can't get the date you were hoping for. Only reason it isn't 5/5 is because our waitor came by after looking for tips and saying that's all he was paid which, knowing the couple I doubt is the case as clearly the budget for this event was astronomical.

We had our wedding reception here this past weekend. Joe & and his team were amazing. Throughout the planning process they were super helpful in making sure our day goes off without any issues. We had to move our wedding date due to COVID restrictions for our original booking and Joe had made it easier than ever to make that possible. He was extremely helpful in recommending good menu items and laying out a floor plan. The guests were raving about the food and drinks. Most importantly nothing can beat that million dollar view of the bridges and Manhattan skyline. Our wedding pictures look great with that view in the background. Working with Giando’s felt less transactional and more like family. I highly highly highly recommend this venue for any special event for your family and friends. A special shout-out to a server named Paul who helped my sister and her family navigate back to our hotel, you truly went above and beyond what I ever expect anyone to do and I am thankful for your help. This place is so fancy but it has a big salon we was very hungry stopped at different restaurants 😫 all booked browsed on Google and founded this place the funny thing is that ot was almost next door to the place that didn't have a table for us I called and asked if we can walk in he said yes we got shocked of impression of that beautiful restaurants architecture designed and the views to Manhattan N.Y.C priceless I think 🤔 that with the views and the tasty plates 🍽 they're under pricing but keep it like that please 😉

Giando on the Water in Brooklyn was the perfect venue for our wedding! The Williamsburg location and breathtaking waterfront views created a stunning backdrop for both our ceremony and reception. Such a great place. Had my aunt's memorial there a couple of weeks ago and everything was wonderful. The staff was awesome with great attention to detail, the food was delicious, and the view spectacular. Set up was amazing. Definitely recommend.

We went for cocktails on a Friday night. This spot gives you one of the most beautiful views of Manhattan and the NYC skyline. The atmosphere is old school and the service is impeccable. We had the espresso martini, negroni, g&t and manhattan. 10/10 The patio in the summer months is a perfect spot.

I coordinated a fundraiser Gala at Giando on the Water and had a wonderful experience. Joe was incredible and accommodating throughout the entire prep/planning process. He responded to questions and last minute requests immediately. Lucy, one of our maitre d’s was helpful and pleasant to work with. She helped out immensely during setup and went above and beyond on the day of the event. Paul was also kind and helpful! The staff was professional and friendly. They made sure that our guests were tended to and went out of their way to ensure that I had something to eat during cocktail hour and the main reception. I’m usually so busy during events that I don’t have the opportunity to stop and eat and they made sure I was enjoying the delicious food too. Would 100% recommend and looking forward to hosting another event there in the future!

I had visit a few restaurants in New York since I got here, everywhere they say they’re selling an experience and that’s why the high price, but here I had the best experience and the price it’s completely fair for the great service and food. Great appetizers for the cocktail hour, and the logistics of getting 80 people to two locations were run like clockwork. The dinner was also wonderful! (Bonus points for the penthouse room for bridal party to prep in.) Again, strongest recommendation for your wedding!

I hosted my daughter’s bridal shower on March 18, 2023 at the gorgeous Giando on the Water. The views are spectacular, the food was absolutely delicious and the service was fantastic. Joe, Rodrigo, the bar tenders, the wait staff as well as the valet attendants were all wonderful. They are very accommodating and a pleasure to deal with. My guests had a great day and my daughter was thrilled! I could not have selected a better venue. My family and friends intend to use Giando on the Water for future occasions. Staff, food, location, leadership was top notch from beginning to end for our son's wedding reception. We could not have expected any higher quality from Joe (Boss) to event staff and everyone associated with Giando on the Water. We are so very thankful for a most memorable wedding.

There are not enough words to express how blown away and grateful we are for Giando on the Water - the gem of all wedding venues in New York City, hidden and somewhat under the radar, this venue is bold and refined and we're so glad we found it by simply walking in Domino Park in July of 2024. From the very first day we met with Joe and Liz at Giando, we knew we were in good hands - literally, as we shook his hand and confirmed booking our date - New Year's Eve 2025. From July 2024 until the very last song of our wedding, working with Giando was nothing but a joy. Joe and Liz are true working professionals - they know how to run an event and run it well. Their operational aptitude is unmatched and with every request, idea or vision we had to bring our dream wedding to life - they listened, responded and provided real feedback on how we can make what we want to happen, happen in a way that was operationally sound and would be successful for us. Joe is a MASTER operator - he laid our every minute of our wedding with perfection and Liz is a TOP notch seasoned organizer, reviewing every detail (which we had lots of) with precision and assuring no stone was unturned in bringing these details to life on wedding day. We met with them in-person multiple times leading to the wedding and their ability to work with us on everything we wanted to do was so appreciated. Now when it came to wedding day, we were even more blown away and our expectations were not met they were exceeded. Every single vendor involved (and we had many) we welcomed in and helped set-up and produce this dream wedding of ours. We had our ceremony inside the ballroom since it was New Year's Eve and they did an incredible transformation to flip the room from dreamy white pipe & drape ceremony to moody black/gold reception in less than an hour. We also had a STELLAR cocktail hour - the food was insane (especially the tortellini alfredo, eggplant rollatini & fried calamari) and the drinks were strong (which everyone appreciated). The cocktail room looked gorgeous because of Giando's wonderful holiday decor matched with the amazing NYC skyline views and our design. Then the reception was our dream event - the salad and pasta course set the tone for food and then the generous entrees (steak, salmon, chicken marsala) were even better than expected with tasty vegetables, potatoes & bread - more than plenty of food for any wedding and some of the most I've ever seen at an event! The bartenders did an amazing job during the reception too and the servers were incredible keeping champagne flutes full, wine bottles on every table, beer buckets on tables who wanted them and meeting every need of every guest. Theresa, our bridal attendant was the STAR of the show - she assured my gown was kept white even when a few guests spilled or food got on my dress (she literally cleaned my dress with a tide pen/club soda multiple times throughout the night), she set us up with a plate of every cocktail hour bite to eat, brought out every entree for us to try and never left my champagne glass empty or my husbands hand empty of a beer. She also helped me change from my wedding gown to reception look and made sure my veil during the ceremony was perfect walking down the aisle. The service team at Giando are best of the best, know what they're doing and do it well and with charm. They even allowed us to have a late night snack L&B Spumoni gardens vendor pop-up and helped with laying out hats to give away at the end of the night, special rock candy to go into our champagne, custom matches for our cigar vendor and assured our custom napkins, signage, etc. were where we asked for it to be. They made it so easy to bring in the vendors we wanted and perfected the wedding night in working so well together with each of them. This WILL NOT be the last event we host at Giando on the Water - the hidden gem of NYC with the most stunning view of NYC, incredible and indulgent food, top-notch seasoned service and a best in class leader - Joe. I had the best wedding experience on June 7th, 2025 with Giando on the Water. The view is definitely the showstopper, providing truly amazing pictures. From the pre-meetings with Joe and Liz in person and on the phone, to the most attentive wait staff and bar servers, we couldn’t have asked for better. They are truly experts at what they do, always there providing the guidance, organization and the personal touches that exceeded the vision we had for the day. We used their recommended vendors after looking around a bit and it was beyond clear that they knew the layout and acoustics of the building to best optimize our expectations while working flawlessly with the Giando staff. Both my husband and I as well as our parents had appointed people watching out for us all night long. Despite the unpredictable weather, they had a contingency plan in place, and worked with us to make a game time decision as to where the ceremony was happening, inside or out. The food and drink from cocktail hour through dessert were plentiful and of the highest quality with amazingly quick service both at the tables and more importantly at the bar where there was never a long wait. With all of the difficult decisions to be made for getting that single perfect day, the hindsight of choosing this venue was the best one. We highly recommend having your wedding at Giando’s!

We couldn’t have asked for a better day (10/30 we had a “mini” hurricane). Crisp, clear sunny day was all we could ask for. The NY skyline crystal clear both during ceremony and reception. We just had our wedding and it was amazing. Joe was a pleasure to work with and made the preparation process so easy. The views are amazing . The food is delicious all my guests were raving and want to go back to the restaurant part for dinner. Liz did an amazing job setting up the decorations, Maritza my bridal attendant was very attentive and on point , and the whole staff were very professional and attentive. They really make you feel like family. The weather did not cooperate but the staff set up everything so perfectly and beautifully I didn’t care about the weather anymore. They are truly amazing there and made everything so seamless and easy for us on our big day . Thank you all so much, we look forward to spending our anniversaries there with you Nicole and Andres.

I attended a retirement party here. I got their too late to taste the food but the view was amazing. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The building has several floors of catering space in this particular party was on the first floor. They all have the same view of Downtown Manhattan and the bridges. Definitely a great location in Brooklyn, for sweet 16, cotillion, bar/bat mitzvah or baraka, or a small wedding.

They were so attentive, caring, and always available to respond to all of my inquiries during the planning of my birthday. Lucy my Maitre D, Theresa, Hector and the entire staff were phenomenal to work with my during the evening of my celebration. The food was fresh, delectable, and received great portions. Giando on the Water is the place to be for great customer service and sensational views of the NYC skyline!!!

I got married at Giando on the Water this past weekend and absolutely loved it! Joe and Liz were soooo incredible while planning the event, and were available to speak to me whenever questions came up. The Maitre D's (Vanessa & Lucy) and Bridal Attendant (Maritza) got me everything I needed throughout the day while keeping the party going and keeping us on schedule. From the moment I arrived at the venue, they set me up in the gorgeous penthouse Bridal Suite with a platter of mozzarella sticks and a glass of champagne. It was raining throughout the day, so we had our ceremony under the tent, but their outdoor space was so gorgeous that people couldn't help but risk the rain to enjoy the views. The food wasn't anything to write home about, but was plentiful and great for the party - even with the basic package, our cocktail hour had 8+ appetizers and a carving station and dinner had 3 courses. We were able to customize our cake decorations & flavors, and it was DELICIOUS!! I was so impressed that everything from the ceremony to the cake to the open bar were included in one very clear & reasonable price. Indefinitely thankful to Giando for such a wonderful night & hoping my friends get married there too so I can visit again <3 :) It's not just Giando thats marvelous - their recommended vendors were amazing too! My bouquet was from their recommended vendor (Madison Florals) and was more beautiful than I had imagined! We used one of their recommended photographers too (Le Image) and I was so happy with Josephine and Mike while planning & throughout the night. I highly recommend getting married at Giando!

Simply incredible wedding experience. I just had my wedding here. The staff was beyond attentive, they made us feel like royalty. The food was top notch and our signature drinks were perfect. And of course the views are unmatched by any other venue in NYC, our photos are going to be unreal. Joe is the best to work with too, he made us feel comfortable and confident when we didn't know what we were doing. I couldn't recommend Giando enough, all our guests couldn't stop talking about how incredible and beautiful the event was.

My husband and I got married at Giando's in March. We have nothing but good things to say about our entire experience! From our initial phone call with Joe we knew Giando's was the place we wanted to have our wedding celebration. Joe and the entire staff made the entire wedding planning process seamless. On the day of the wedding the staff took care of everything and treated us like royalty. They are very well versed in weddings and are always thinking one step ahead. Our guest had nothing but good things to say about the bar tenders and wait staff for their tables. No one ever had an empty drink! We used the florist (Maddison florist) and DJ (privilege entertainment) that was recommended by Giando's. Both vendors were incredible and are very familiar with the venue allowing them to give very useful suggestions to help make our party run smoothly. My husband and I eloped overseas so we did not have a ceremony. This allowed us to arrive to the venue early to take pictures and enjoy the bridal suit. The bridal suit had an attendant that took such good care of us providing food and drinks so we could step away from the craziness of the party when needed. The food was so tasty and there were lots of options including gluten free, vegetarian, and vegan. The cake provided by the venue was not only delicious but very beautiful. The patio was a great space for our guest to enjoy during cocktail hour taking in the views of NYC. The floor to ceiling windows in the reception room were what sold us on the venue giving ourselves and our guest the best NYC experience. We can not thank the staff at Giando's enough for giving us the best wedding experience. I highly recommend using Giando's for any wedding or other parties. We will defiantly be going back in the near future.

We went to this restaurant on our first date back in 2005, got married there in 2008 and go every year to celebrate our Anniversary. This restaurant/venue holds a very special place to our hearts and memories. The views are spectacular, the food is always delicious and the people who have been working there over 20 years are the sweetest ❤️. Our experience there every time is wonderful and I hope they never change. Hopefully, we can celebrate our renewal of our vows there, that would be awesome.

Great location with perfect views of the bridge and the city. Unfortunately, the main floor had a dance floor that left much to be desired. It felt very claustrophobic. I hear other floors are more spacious. Next time.

We've used this venue for residency graduation for many years. View of the bridge and water is great, amazing sunset photos. As for the food, the beef has consistently been dry to the point of being nearly inedible; otherwise, the salmon, calamari, and eggplant parmigiana are reliably good.

We love this place. The food is ok and well priced and the service is generally good to very good. The place is not crowded so you can enjoy your conversation. The decor is elegant and the views of Manhattan are out of this world.

Went to a wedding here this weekend. View was gorgeous!! Gotta give a shoutout to our server Marco for making sure our table was taken care of the entire reception, he was so quick and helpful with all our requests!! Thank you Marco!!! Food during cocktail hour was great, as usual wedding reception dinners tend to fall flat… and this was no different. My steak was medium in some places and more well done in others, would load up during cocktail hour

It was to attend a wedding and reception. Fabulous views outdoors, where the ceremony took place, and in the indoor reception hall. The hall was large. There is valet parking. Getting there is a bit hairy because of the heavy pedestrian traffic and narrow streets.

Giando is such a great venue. You can always enjoy views of the East River. They were preparing the lower level for an event. It is a great space. I always enjoy my meal.

We were at Giando's for a wedding. Valet parking was easy and pleasant. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Staff could be better trained. Atmosphere was very good. Very good location. Food was mass produced for the wedding and was simply executed but good. Before wedding started there was a cash bar which was pricey. Wine selection at the bar was not good. Overall good experience for atmosphere, service and banquet food. I cannot comment on the restaurant.

This is a beautiful location over seeing the Brooklyn bridge and the city who doesn’t live to see that sight. This is giving event space and so is the food it’s real basic I got the shrimp came with broccoli and potatoes . I went for a birthday celebration with a prefix menu they offered steak chicken salmon and shrimp. The service could’ve been more attentive they were more get the job done no real interaction. But I’d come back to try the regular menu, and to see the view.

I had the prefix menu , food was just ok. We had shrimp, steak, chicken . The service was mediocre. Martini was not it . We had to return it . It was just vodka.

Great view. Buffet food not good. Table waiters not good. Bartender great. Not sure if there are other levels of food for different costs but the food was trash other than a perfectly cooked roast beef without flavor. I wouldn't use them for my wedding. During ceremony all you can hear is rushing water and trains. You would need a microphone and amplifier if you wanted your guests to hear the ceremony.

The restaurant is ok but not fantastic. The servers were Diner quality and we did not get a high quality dining experience that we were expecting. Definitely not enough to warrant what I felt was overly inflated prices for menu items that were not very good quality.. For example, I have posted their mixed green salad with a large brown/ old piece of lettuce that I feel clearly shows a lack of quality control. The entree side dishes said to come with baked potatoes, yet as shown in pics- appears to be about a half of a red potato cubed. And lastly, the salmon dinner entree portion did not satisfy me, and seemed more like a lunch menu item due to its small portion size as shown compared to the lemon slice (for comparison). My complaint is only that their prices reflect entree sizes as they show on their dinner menu- yet I felt the portion sizes were ridiculous. The steak with shrimp is $68 (yikes!) I did not feel it was plated neatly. With a third of a cubed red potato and 4 shrimp? Really? $200.00 for a dinner for 2 wasn’t worth it in my opinion.

Not sure what it was but it’s better at your local pizza shop. The shrimp scampi was good but for the location and setting I expected better. The vodka pasta was great so bravo on that. The chocolate cake was disappointingly dry… Only was in the first floor dining area and it was nice but across the room was their bar and they could have a much better setup for the bar area given the location. Looks like they just put it there as an after thought. From the website and walking in to the restaurant I had high hopes this was going to be a great experience but it just wasn’t. Went here for NYE with a couple of friends and the food was the most disrespectful thing along with the way the staff attended to our table…..we were rushed to place our orders because the guy stated “we have a wedding upstairs” which I’m sorry but thats none of my concern since I am also a paying customer, anyways the menu was just a standard entree, salad, main dish and dessert for $120 per person with gratuity included which ended up being $200 per person……they advertised filet mignon as one of the options and clearly was not served that along with the meat being completely under cooked and when asked to correct it the simply took the same piece of meat and threw it back on the stove lol and proceeded to return a burnt piece of meat with it still being raw in the inside…..worst experience ever, idk if tonight we just got played because they had a wedding going on and it feels like our menu was the same menu offered to the wedding and the food was awful

Horrible service and they put automatic gratuity for a party under 6 and it was more than 50%....... they provided no service we had to call them over multiple times. Food was nothing special and drinks tasted like cough syrup.

I don't even know where to begin: This is review for restaurant dining. 1. First the service is amazing and that's about it 2. Food is not fresh, bland uninspiring. Mozzarella cheese and tomatoes was cheap processed and blah, tomatoes were not fresh appeared frozen 3. Chicken Francese had absolutely no flavor 4. The veal chop special at 75 bucks was the worst cut meat I have ever had and I asked for medium it came rare and had send it back 5. The vibe atmosphere is like my grandma nursing home, cold uninviting, hard surfaces and unwelcoming Can't understand the good reviews, its overpriced and gross.

This place is definitely the worst place I have ever paid to eat at. The only thing this place has going for it is the view. I live near this place. Don't go there. If you want to enjoy a great dinner with a better view, you're invited to my Penthouse home for half the price and food that is 1000% better, along with amazing service. We asked for a drink menu, and he said they don't have one. As soon as he said this, I knew this experience was going to be bad, especially since I saw another couple with a drink menu. I ordered a steak, but it was no good. I asked another person for a drink menu and he brought it to me. My wife ordered a drink, and when the bill came, they wanted $40.00 for a glass of wine. The drink menu said $15.00. Please don't waste your money going here. This place made me feel like I was getting robbed. I have never been so disappointed with a restaurant! Also, be aware of the automatic 25% gratuity.if i could do 0 Star this place would get .

It was my first time there, we went for a birthday party on a Saturday night. It was surprising such a great location with a terrific view to be so empty, but later on I found out why, and the issue with this restorant is the service and bad management. The valet Parker did a damage to my car and never took responsibility for it, they tried to hide it and never let us see the cameras. We don’t know who was the manger, they never gave us a name. They never took accountability on anything. It was such a disappointment!
