My mom and I were visiting a family member at the nearby hospital and we wanted to get some lunch. She specifically wanted shrimp tacos and when we asked if they had them we were in luck because it was on their specials that day! We sat down around 2:30pm on a Saturday and we had a calm delicious lunch! I had the chicken tacos with some guacamole on the side. My portion was filling for me. The staff were upbeat and kind which we always love to see. I would definitely recommend a stop here!!

Great Atmosphere! Cute spot with lots of windows, small but has good seating. Hostess/Waitress very friendly and responsive. Drinks were soooo good! We got the Mezcalitas (Margaritas but with Mezcal) in hibiscus and mango. Both flavors were excellent. Tacos are a good portion size, a little on the simple side. No sides - no sour cream. Ordered the steak, fried fish and grilled octopus tacos. Octopus was the best followed by the fish.

Cute Mexican restaurant with outdoor seating and the staff was very nice. Delicious drinks as well. We really liked their steak quesadillas, packed with flavor! They also had an interesting hotdog with sour cream as well.

This restaurant was rated with one Michelin star in 2021 and 2022. It is worth checking. The food was delicious, and the portion sizes were large. They have margaritas and mezcalritas in 6 different flavors, and my favorite was the passionfruit. The staff was very friendly too! I can’t wait to come back!

I’d been to many Mexican spots in the last year that turned me off to the food and experience, and randomly on a day least expected I went to this spot not expecting much and got some of the best food I’ve had in a while. The waiter helped a lot with the choices and when they messed something up they offered dessert on the house for it, which was not necessary at all but very appreciated. This spot made me feen for Mexican food like crazy lately I can’t wait to go back. I also always hated seafood but their shrimp tacos changed my mind now. 10/10 spot 100% must try.

Awesome food. Pretty sizeable portions, quick and friendly staff, and nice cozy location. I definitely over ordered, not expecting the tacos to be as packed as they were. But it's called Gordo's for a reason lol. I got the shrimp tacos, octopus tacos, and open faced steak quesadillas. Everything was hot, fresh, and delicious. Will definitely be stopping by again.

Gordo’s Cantina is INCREDIBLE! They are open and have a good outdoor dining set up. Can’t wait to go back! I tried the open faced poblano and corn burnt cheese quesadilla and the shrimp tacos - both hit it out of the park. For dessert, their key lime pie is the best I’ve ever tasted!!! It’s creamy with layers of cookies and to die for! And churros with cajeta caramel and chocolate sauce were SO delicious!

Nice spot, and the drinks were decent. However, the quesadillas I ordered were overly oily,the tortilla was soaked, which made them hard to enjoy. I wouldn’t recommend them. The guacamole trio was just okay, but it lacked salt and didn’t taste as fresh as I expected.

If I could write my own definition of the word average I would be Gordo‘s Cantina as the definition. The food was average, bland and $ for what you get, the $20 guacamole is not worth it. Do not go to this place if you are looking for good food. The food trucks outside are way better more authentic and won’t let you down. Drinks are good.

I’ve been a fan of gordos for about two years and it was one of my happy spots. Unfortunately the service and food has declined. Food came out super fast and was definitely rushed because It was not super delicious as how I’d remembered. The guac was bland, the carnitas tacos were chewy. And not a lime in sight. If the prices were food truck prices, it’d be reasonable, but for a 100$ lunch for two? Not worth it at all. Very sad on the decline of this establishment, especially considering its consistent Michelin ratings. Margaritas are good though

Eh, it’s alright. Pescado tacos had a sauce on them that didn’t really jive with the flavors of cod and honestly kind of drowned out the flavor, which makes getting fish tacos kind of pointless. Food is a bit expensive considering it wasn’t stand out which was a bit of a shock since it’s on the Michelin guide

Ordered here only to wait an hour and for my entire order to be incorrect. Did not receive my vegetable tamales (the main reason i placed this order) received 3 funky greasy smelly kale tacos that were squished and cold. The fish tacos were bland, greasy and squished as well. See pictures I attached. The icing on the cake is no one at this establishment apparently answers the phone.(odd for a place that sells food?) After 5 calls I decided to go through grubhub for my refund instead of trying to give them the chance to remedy this like I initially was.
