Hey folks, Just had to drop a line about this incredible spot – it's seriously one of my favorites! I've been a regular here pretty much since they first opened their doors, and I've got to say, they've never once let me down. Every single time I visit, the quality of everything, from what they offer to how they treat you, is absolutely top-tier. The staff are always super welcoming and genuinely go the extra mile to make sure you have a great time. Honestly, if you're looking for a place that consistently delivers an outstanding experience, you absolutely *have* to check this out. Trust me, you won't be disappointed!
Jade Garden is a traditional Cantonese seafood restaurant with an elegant and comfortable ambiance. Private dining rooms on the second floor are perfect for birthday parties. The menu is varied, beautifully presented, and delicious. While the food is delicious, it doesn't quite reach the level of Hong Kong restaurants that will wow your palate! It's truly unforgettable! The waiters are professional and dedicated!
Came here for dim sum and left extremely full and happy. Yes some of the wait staff (some others do speak English) don’t understand English but they make the best effort to understand what you want and treat you like family and are very helpful. I have been coming here for awhile. The food here is A1 same with the prices, very reasonable.
Received VIP invite for dinner. Reserved event with performance by singers & dancers. 10 course lavish meal plus dessert. Good quality & service. I really enjoyed the fresh steamed fish. Next was the mixed seafood platter with asparagus. The ginseng chicken soup is phenomenal 👍👍 Excellent venue for celebrations & big groups 🎉🎉
One of the best 酒楼 on 8th Ave for a special dinner! Food was incredibly flavorful and fresh. Highly recommend their seafood dishes, especially the steamed crab over sticky rice, and the black pepper lamb chops. We had a VIP room to ourselves on a weeknight without a reservation in advance. Complimentary mango dessert, almond cookies, and assorted fruit. Service was very friendly and attentive. Dishes we ordered: Steamed crab over sticky rice, black pepper lamb chops, jumbo shrimp with walnuts in mayo sauce, macadamia with mixed clams, scallops in black pepper sauce.
Nothing fancy, a couple of dishes worthy of mention. Garlic sauce vegetable. It was sauteed vegetables (蒜蓉菜心)finished with a spoonful of yellow wine. 豆苗餃, tender bean sprouts wrapped in rice flour dumplings. Very delicate, very refreshing. The staff were extra friendly. Tall dining hall. Pork ribs stew was okay but on the sweet side. Noise level was high. Just wondering if we didn't order the food right? Pork knuckle braised were too sweet.
Good service, they aren't late when you order for catering. Front desk and staff are very nice and helpful. Not messy and on point. Clean location for Chinese dine in and full restaurant experience. One of the best on 8th Ave for dim sum. Highly recommend this location. Prices are fair for Brooklyn.
This place gets really crowded on weekend mornings. Expect to wait in line for 20min to an hour. Food is more Cantonese style versus Flushing dim sum. Food is fresh. Price is regular for dim sum. The service was good. The staff was attentive. However, once you are done eating, you do get the feeling you should leave soon. Can't blame them with the long lines. FYI, Parking can be difficult in the area
This is the only place I know that takes reservations for dim sum. They were able to accommodate us with 3 big tables upstairs in the vip room. After eating dim sum 3 days in a roll I was kind of sick of it but after the first bite I was in love again. Expect big crowds and some waiting time.
Steamed roast pork bun did not taste good. The bread was too much compared to the meat, and the meat was tough and dry. The other foods were good, typical of dim sum restaurants. I thought the egg tart was stale and didn’t taste good, but my little sister liked it. Atmosphere was good but the servers were kind of rushy (they were very nice though). I especially like the snowy durian—it was very tasty. Also I got food poisoning 😐
Nice dim sum restaurant with lots of natural light! Went with 2 other friends and the bill came out to be around $44. Service is a little slow though and people are fairly inattentive. The food is good and there's 2 ways of ordering- through carts and by writing on an order slip. They also have frozen dumplings to order if you want.
For a Friday afternoon, we didn't have to wait for a table even though the place was pretty packed. Each table was occupied and the place filled with loud enthusiastic conversations from everyone. The population was mostly Chinese families and elderly couples enjoying a nice time together. You know, the usual crowd... so I thought since locals go here, it'd be better than the now-touristy yumcha places in Chinatown, Manhattan. Disappointed to find subpar dimsum. Certain dishes are a hit or miss. Spare ribs were the only good thing here, IMO. - Sincerely, someone who has had a lot of dimsum growing up. P.S. staff were very attentive and super friendly and nice.
We recently had our wedding at Park Asia. We chose Park Asia as the interior was nicer than most chinese restaurants in Brooklyn and we liked the high ceilings as well as the food. The process to book the restaurant and choose our wedding menu was great and the manager worked with our requests and gave us a small discount. The workers were friendly as well and said they would help as much as they can on the day of our wedding. We were happy with the experience up until after the wedding. We tipped the kitchen beforehand hoping they would put extra care into the food but the feedback on the food from our guests that night werent great, maybe because there was a retirement party happening upstairs as well as a smaller wedding on the side happening at the same time so the kitchen was busy. The three main reasons why we are unfortunately scarred and have an unpleasant memory from our wedding & the restaurant were 1) During the table toasting segment, I had taken out a very expensive bottle of liquor to toast with our friends and family. I wanted it poured into our glasses as well as our parents but the manager told us that tea is already in our cups and that he will hold onto the bottle for us and give it to us when we're ready. (I dont understand why we couldnt pour out the tea before we started but whatever, it was too chaotic). As we were going around table to table, we noticed the manager started pouring the liquor out to everybody, at this point we couldnt stop him and its a happy event so its fine but because the manager was carelessly and generously pouring the liquor to everyone, halfway through our 25 tables, the bottle was already almost empty and my wife and I have not tried one sip yet. I quickly gulped my tea and got a small sip myself. Sadly, my wife as well as our parents and some close friends and relatives we wanted to share with did not get to try. My intention was to save a bit to take home so we can drink it on our one year anniversary. I also intended to pour and toast with the liquor myself but the manager just decided to act on his own. 2) My wife had left her bouquet on the cake cutting table and when we remembered and went back to ask for it, the restaurant had tossed it while cleaning. They blamed us for not remembering but the right thing to do, knowing it may be important, was the staff to ask the wedding party or the family. I know chinese venues dont care much compared to western venues but my wife had intended to also press and save her bouquet for memories so she was devastated. The attitude from the staff who were friendly def changed 180 after the event ended. 3) After the wedding, we realized that we should have an extra box of wine left since we ended up having a few less tables than originally planned. When we went to retrieve it, the box was half opened and coincidentally, the wine slots were replaced with other leftover liquor from our bar that night. Our guess is that, they took out the wine bottles from those slots to keep for themselves and replaced it with the tequila bottles. We are supposed to have 15 bottles of wine leftover, we got 8 back. Sneaky. Our wedding experience was overall good, beautiful setting and we all had a great time but sadly, these "small" mishaps from their staff has left a mad taste in our mouths and we will not be returning to Park Asia. It wouldve been perfect but we are now scarred when we think back to our wedding. Sad as it was one of our favorite restaurants in BK and returning to eat there on our wedding anniversaries wouldv'e been nice, unfortunate.
The pork ribs were good, trotters were too sweet. Tasteless taro dumpling, and same with the pork roll. The cake thing was dry, so was the steamed pork bun. Service was a joke. Server gave me water in a plastic cup when they clearly had glass. I asked her for a togo box and gestured the size and she refused to give me the size box I asked for telling me it won’t fit. I begged her to just please give me the Togo container I’m asking for. Makes me mad just thinking about it. Would have given one star but the pork ribs was good and I had to order a second order because everything else was so bad. Wasn’t even cheap either. Never ever coming back. Save your money go somewhere else.
Whoa, what a disappointing experience. The plan was a fun work dinner. Some food arrived very undercooked, all arrived super slow, and some didn't arrive at all. The room we were in was adjacent to a very cold room which the waiters kept opening to being food to (food that looked tastier than ours....). I got the distinct impression that as a group of white and latino men and women, we were not welcome. Sad face.
I dined here recently and had high expectations, but the experience fell short. The food arrived lukewarm and lacked freshness, which was disappointing, especially given the prices. Service was fine, but food quality really needs improvement.
We personally own Japanese restaurants. So we know this industry. With 160 bucks, you can get great amount of sushi and sashimis plus steak dinners and other noodle dishes in our beautifully decorated restaurant. Recently, when we dined in there for dinner of 4, we only ordered two vegetarian dish and fish egg drop soup and a plain sautéed fish. And the bill was like 160. Adding 20% tip. No more comments, you should be smart to see what’s happening there.
