This spot serves some of the best Cantonese dim sum in Brooklyn! The dishes are fresh, authentic, and full of flavor—from the har gow to the siu mai, everything is well-executed and arrives piping hot. The service is attentive and friendly, making the experience even better. Whether you're going for a weekend dim sum brunch or a casual weekday meal, it's a reliable and satisfying choice. Definitely a go-to for anyone craving traditional Cantonese dim sum done right.
Arrived at 10:55AM on a Sunday and got my party of four seated at 11:20AM. Super authentic Cantonese dimsum with the carts going around. The variety and portions are great! Shrimp dumplings, sticky rice, spring rolls, steamed rice rolls, pork buns, radish cake and tofu pudding just to name a few.
Every weekend around noon time, this place is packed with lines going out the door and countless people waiting outside. You have to get a card with an assigned number to be placed in the queue for seating. Wait time could be 30 min+. When you get seated, they will give you a punch card and ask you if you want tea, they have a few flavors to choose from, but I personally recommend the 普洱茶 (pu er tea). After you get the tea, you just wait for the dimsum carts to roll around. Each cart carries different items so keep an eye out for what you like or want to try. Every dish that I got was packed with flavor and was absolutely delicious, but I’d highly recommend getting the beef rib and the chicken feet! They also have a separate menu if you want to try other made-to-order dishes. So let the staff know if that peaks your curiosity. Once you choose your dimsum it goes straight from the cart to your table and they’ll place a stamp on your punch card to denote the cost category of what you just picked up. When you’ve finished eating, ask one of employees that’s wearing a vest to calculate the bill total and take that punch card to the table by the front entrance to pay your bill. Be sure to leave some tip at your dining table for the staff! Having said all of that, this is likely the most flavorful and delicious dimsum place I’ve ever been to!!! Happy Dimsuming.
East Harbor Seafood Palace helped us host a wedding banquet for about 70 guests, which was relatively small, in parallel with at least two other wedding banquets. We selected this restaurant for the great value, delicious food, and flexibility for various requests that were managed by Chris Wong (e.g. reception table, extra vegetarian dish tables, additional orders to accommodate dietary restrictions, bringing our own cake and decorations). Communication can be done in English, but will be greatly facilitated by a Cantonese/Chinese speaker in your party. The staff was very accommodating in getting dishes out in a timetable according to our wishes with consideration to guest tardiness and how quickly guests were eating. They were also very efficient with set up and clean up, often offering to help in tasks we thought we should be responsible for. There is lots of free street parking on Sat. night and there is also free valet parking (recommended to tip them). All guests were happily stuffed with food by the end of the night and gave compliments about how delicious the food was. We highly recommend East Harbor Seafood Palace for our friends and family for future wedding banquets.
My TOP 10 in Brooklyn. BYOB option… 🥇🥇 Definitely some of the best dim sum in the east coast. The phoenix claws & shrimp dumplings are mandatory! It’s always busy so you know the food is fresh. Avoid weekends unless you come early otherwise expect 30-45 minutes wait time. Limited Valet parking based on availability. Can park bicycle inside the garage. 👍👍 Elevate your dining experience. Go big & get the 8 lbs king crab 🦀 🦀 update: Another great evening with buddy for the 10 lbs crab (a 3 course meal in itself ). Complemented with an Austin Hope from Paso Robles, CA. $800 dinner tab for 2 is a first for me. Highly recommended 😉😉

I was told that this was one of the few good dim sum restaurants in Brooklyn and it shows. Arriving early, I already see a queue to be seated and a full house in the restaurant! Many of the customers, my party included, have to share the table with other an another party. If this is not to your liking, then you may need to find another place, come in a very large party, or ask and wait for a table for just your party. The food is what you typically see in other dim sum places. I admit, there were several dishes that I have yet to see such as abalone on top of the steamed beef balls (ngao yuk). It was delicious, the abalone was flavorful and not too chewy, while the beef ball was perfectly steamed with a hint of seafood from the abalone. I do wish that they had a bit more variety though. It could be that they were busy and the aunties stuck with the popular dishes, but I do wish they went around with some uncommon ones too.
Excellent Cantonese - the real authentic experience. Push cart dim sum. Huge selection, very tasty food. A few items - like the taro and the har gao dim sum weren’t as hot as expected. And the soup dumpling had far too much dough. But - overall, delicious and quick. Just be ready to wait in term for your table. Place is very popular and packed on weekends.
I’ve been here a few times on both weekends and weekdays. Weekends are great if you want the classic dim sum cart experience but are busier with wait times and more crowding. Weekdays are better if you’re looking for a casual dinner. The dim sum, fresh seafood, and crab fried rice are all delicious and I will come back for them. Steak based dishes have been hit or miss for me. Definitely recommend coming here for the experience.
Went on Sat at 9:20 am and got the last open table in the main area available. Good dim sum (steamed rice with chicken feet and spare rib) gone fast. The BBQ pork bun topping was not the best this round but the flaky BBQ is exceptional. Better get there if you don’t wanted to wait for dim sum.
Solid Dim Sum! I'm not the only one with that opinion as it's usually crowded. The wait times can vary but it's not too overwhelming. Usually up to 20 minutes. Food: 4.5/5 Good variety of classic dim sum dishes. You can also order off the menu for larger, shareable items like fried rice. I'm a fan of the steamed riblets, Phoenix claws and noodle dishes. Service: 4/5 Pretty good. The stuff isn't pushy with the offerings on the carts
Came here before and it was very good. Today’s visit was on New Year’s Day so it was super chaotic. We waited about 30-40 mins for a table for 8. The carts moved quickly and we were able to get what we wanted almost immediately. There were a few items we had to wait for. Today they didn’t have turnip cake. Some waiters were very helpful and scouted the dimsum items we wanted and ordered additional items. Others were typical and brushed us off. Any ordered food takes very long. They also have Hong Kong milk tea. Service is in Cantonese. Didn’t notice if they were super quick to help in English.
Pretty good dim sum, bookmarked this place for a while since my friend recommended it. A little bit far to get to in brooklyn's chinatown. Expect to wait before you get seats. I didn't see that many carts that went around, might be because we got there a little closer to 12:30pm, busy even on a weekday during lunch. You might want to ask them for the menu to bring the food out if the carts don't come by. I think the food is flavorful, but the service was a little bit questionable since we were waiting for the carts to come by for a while and it didn't feel like there was a lot of variety. There were definitely more items on the menu that they didn't bring out. Overall, I think it's good place to try once, I'm not sure if I would be back again.
Visited a handful of times before. Today (Wednesday) I went around 11am and it was pretty packed. Wait time was around 10-15 minutes. When you enter, be sure to tell the staff member in front how many is in your party for the table and he will give you a card with a number on it. As tables start to clear, he will yell out the numbers, based on availability. You want to be attentive here as if you don’t acknowledge your number being called, it will be skipped and he will quickly move on to the next numbers for people to be seated. During my 10 minute wait, I saw people who were there before me, that didn’t get a card with a number on it, and they just stood around. After they saw what everyone else was doing, they finally got a number so they could be called for a table. Also fyi, if you come when they open at 9am, there will already be a decent sized crowd waiting outside. Lines do not exist here though. When the doors open, imagine a Black Friday sale, but for seats. Families and individuals will run for the table they want to occupy during their meal. It’s a bit of rush! After that initial opening, about 60% of the restaurant will be filled. Then around 30 minutes later, the entire place will be packed and the above mentioned waiting for your number to be called will start. The dimsum here was decent! My review says 4 stars but I really mean 4.5 stars. Too bad half stars don’t yet exist on Yelp. They really should make that an option. Anyway, the dimsum here is very authentic, flavorful, and great portions! I brought my dad here and he says it’s also pretty decent - fyi, he cooks for a living. We also loved it so much that at the end of our meal, we ordered take out of dimsum to take back to the rest of my family. The restaurant is filled with locals, a few tourists, but mostly Cantonese families with small children, elderly people, and young get-togethers. You can sort of hear people talking in other tables, but that’s to be expected in any dimsum place with locals. It’s moderate volume but still on the quieter side for how busy it gets and in comparison to other dimsum restaurants. Staff here are friendly and attentive. Also super efficient. They bring everything you ask for within a minute- in my experience today. I asked for chili oil and water. Also plenty of refills for tea (for the tea, proper etiquette to ask for more refills is to lift the lid slightly and let it rest on top, so it stays open and they know to come get it). Also… absolutely love the hot sauce/chili oil here!!! So good we asked for 3 and I used 2.5 of them. My dad who doesn’t even like spicy much, used half of one. I put chili oil on most dim sum dishes to really elevate the already-decent flavors! Would still come back again!
Came here for dim sum on a Saturday and waited about 45 minutes to be seated. Totally worth it--everything we ordered was great. The place is huge, and free parking is a big plus.

A 12 degrees evening before the anticipated arrival of the first big ice and snow storm of 2026 and wanted to have "last meal" of sorts before the great hibernation. We had 5 lobsters-split broiled, braised abalone-sea cucumber-shitake, a giant steamed branzino (live from the on-site fish tank), dried scallop fried rice, braised crab yee-noodles, cold platter with suckling pig, beef, pickled vegetables and jellyfish, a sautéed seafood dish with sugar snap peas-squid-conch, chicken-abalone soup, fried chicken, fried crab claw with shrimp, deserts were a fruit platter and also sweet red bean soup. Service was quick, but very, very rushed. Dishes came out every 5 minutes and were served and distributed. The next dish arrived before the current one could be finished and they brought us plastic boxes to pack what we couldn't finish. Food quality was fresh, but not particularly flavorful, slightly overcooked as seafood needs to be pretty exact. Difficult to stay fully booked in the current economy, but the entire restaurant of about 400 seats, was filled, as well as the private rooms, on this evening.

Dim Sum was mostly overcooked or probably was sitting there for awhile. Service was bad as you have to wait for 10 mins to have your tea refilled (either you call a waiter/waitress or they'll walk by you pretending like they don't see you). As for the place, it was packed and had to wait around an hour for a table. If you have any plans afterwards, I highly recommend that you avoid this place or you'll be wasting your time for some mediocre food.
My family and I have been going here for years, ever since I was a kid. We order the Peking Duck for every special occasion, multiple times a year. The quality has gone down A LOT. I couldn’t believe my eyes when I saw the take out order of a full duck for Christmas (see picture attached). We ordered it two days ago and today. The duck barely had any meat. For almost a hundred bucks, this is unacceptable. We are so disappointed. The restaurant used to know us by how much we came. We called them tonight and they put us on hold for a while so we hung up. This was not enough to feed the family. Please fix this for other people. Sad service.
I had a really disappointing experience here. The waitress that served us was very pushy—she kept trying to upsell us to the most expensive dishes. On top of that, she spoke my hometown dialect and constantly interrupted our family conversation, which felt extremely rude and unprofessional. The presentation of the dishes looked nice, but the flavors were nowhere near what they used to be. It really seems like they’ve changed the chef. The Vancouver Crab Lotus Leaf Rice was especially awful—the sticky rice was far too greasy and completely lacked any lotus leaf aroma. Considering the high prices, the overall quality was very poor. Definitely not coming back.
