Pierozek is one of my favorite polish spots in the neighborhood. The food is consistently great and their servers are always patient and friendly. It’s awesome they do local collabs on pierogis. Solid vodka selection. The interior is adorable and warm. Their weekend special grill bowl is my favorite on the menu. In the warmer months, their back patio space is quiet and chill.
Always an amazing experience coming from Buffalo it is a must stop. The best pierogi I have had hands down even though I have been in Poland several times.
I had such a great experience at Pierozek! The atmosphere is really pleasant, the food is delicious and my service was excellent!
Fantastic find! The service is very friendly, the atmosphere is pleasant, and the food is absolutely delicious. I highly recommend trying Murray’s cheese pierogi!
Love this place! Definitely one of the best Polish places I've been. And I've eaten Polish food all over the city, country and world. I'm Polish, and eating in Poland is one of the best experiences of my life. I'm so glad I found this spot, that is so authentic! We ordered the soup, pierogis, stuffed cabbage, tea, and dessert. Everything we tried was amazing! I end up in this area every so often; I can't wait to stop back in and get more fresh, Polish food!
The best decision we made today was going to this restaurant! We were a party of 6, quickly accommodated in a cozy spot. The food was excellent. The borscht with mini mushroom pierogis was delightful. Highly recommend the Grill Bowl on the weekends - roasted veggies, delicious kielbasa and 6 divine pierogis (get the classic potato and cheese). That will fill you up for sure!!! Soooo good.
I recently ordered catering from Pierozek for my birthday party with over 60 guests, including kids, and the entire experience was fantastic. From the moment I placed the order with Kuba and Alexandra, the team was incredibly helpful—they confirmed everything promptly, advised me on the right quantities, and guided me through the variety of options. The food arrived exactly on time and was absolutely delicious. We had more than enough for everyone, and many guests even took some home. I received countless compliments on the food throughout the night! I’ll definitely be ordering catering from Pierozek again for future events. Highly recommend!
Absolutely delicious! Pierozek is such a gem — everything tastes homemade and full of love. The pierogi are soft, flavorful, and perfectly balanced (you can tell they use quality ingredients). The staff is warm, welcoming, and happy to share recommendations. The atmosphere is cozy, making it feel like a little slice of Poland right here in the city. Whether you’re a pierogi lover or trying them for the first time, this place will win you over. Highly recommend the potato & cheese pierogi and the dessert options — pure comfort food heaven!
A wonderful dining experience. The kielbasa and pierogies were delicious! The pierogies are made on premise and the kielbasa is made in NJ. The restaurant is small and nicely decorated. The staff is friendly and efficient. This is a Michelin rated restaurant and certainly worthy of their rating. I highly recommend this restaurant in “Little Poland” in Greenpoint
This was my first time having pierogis. This spot was so cute, clean, menu was comprehensive and not overwhelming. I was recommended to try the cheese & potato first; which were a generous 6! There was a side of sour cream and sour cream with dill. They were so delicious and filling I only got through half. I ended up ordering other pierogis to go (Bacon & jalapeño and pork), which were also delicious. The staff were friendly smiling and attentive. Menu reasonably priced. They have a cute back patio lots of seating indoor; clean, cute and id definitely come back!
Cześć! I am polish and a foodie, so this might come off snobbish, but warranted since it is a Michelin star restaurant. We tried many things on the menu, and most were quite good. I have a couple recommendations on food, and couple items that could be better: Recommended: Pierogi: sauerkraut, mushroom, jalapeño(unique), potato with cheese, sweet cheese, and blueberry (my favorite) Could be better: Gołombki (cabbage rolls): the mushroom sauce was better than the tomato, however, the rice to meat ratio is way off and the rice is over cooked. Kielbasa: not as special as I anticipated. Flavor was fine, but it was no striking. Barszcz (beet soup): missing flavor profiles for the broth, however, the dumplings were quite good. Topped it off with a waffle, which was good. The cream was fresh and not too sweet. Would I return? Absolutely.
If these are the best pierogi in the city, does that mean they're in the running for world champion? I'm going to keep coming back to find out - so should you. We tried the 'meat', which is essentially like pulled pork. Mouth watering & delicious. Also the Tatar, & the Murray's are very filling. We had what we call 'plain', aka potato and cheese. These are complimentary to the more, ahem, complex pierogi. I wish we had room to try everything - there are so many varieties. Other tempting, beautiful main dishes kept coming out to neighboring tables. Check the menu for daily and weekly specials. We came on the weekend and enjoyed a phenomenal lemon zest + sweet cheese pierogi as second course. Finally, there are enough spirits (flavored vodkas, żubrówka, & nalewka darienówka!) for any special toast. The wine selection is a bit limited - it would be lovely to see some Eastern European wines, perhaps Slovenian or Hungarian. Poland produces fine wines with interesting varietals but not a ton of it is available outside the EU. The domestic (Polish) beer selection is great for whomever skips the hard stuff. Can't wait to be back!
As most polish people I’m in love with pierogi and was missing a great ones in US. We went at dinner time and we get table with no problem. The food is amazing we tried pierogi and red borscht with sauerkraut croquet it was to die for. Can’t wait to visit again! Thank you for great service!
These were life changing pierogis!! I remember trying pierogis elsewhere many years ago for the first time, and decided I didn’t like polish food, but this restaurant changed my life. Their pierogis have a great bite. The dough is light and almost has a chewy texture. All the savory ones taste awesome! My favorites are the jalapeños and the mushroom. Bring a friend or two, order a bunch of different ones, and get ready to share!
I LOVE BEING POLISH!!! So freaking good, incredibly authentic, kind Polish hospitality with the servers. Loved it here! Got the Pierozek Grill Bowl which came with 6 Ruskie Pierogi (potato and cheese), Kielbasa, Grilled Zucchini / Squash, Red Peppers, Corn, and Pickles. Served alongside sour cream and a yogurt-dill sauce. Very delicious, modern take on Polish food and the bowl was so cute too, reminds me of my Grandma’s kitchenware.
So delicious. This small restaurant combines a modern glass kitchen and quaint ceramic tableware. And the combinations are what make this place amazing. The pickle soup is perfectly cut into a creamy soup. What could be heavy entrees like Pierozek grill bowl are still light and delicious thanks to the squash. Absolutely delicious and reasonably priced!
I was thrilled to finally try this Polish restaurant in Greenpoint, and of course, I had to bring my Polish friend along for the experience! The atmosphere is charming and intimate, yet surprisingly spacious, with additional seating downstairs. I ordered the savory pierogi mix, including the jalapeño pierogi--stuffed with potato, cheese, and jalapeño, then topped with crispy bacon. Absolutely delicious, though I wish it was more spicy! I also tried the meat pierogi, which was solid, but the real star for me was the dill sauce--creamy, tangy, and utterly addictive. As a big fan of gołąbki (stuffed cabbage), I was eager to try theirs with both the mushroom and tomato sauces on the side. Unfortunately, it didn't quite hit the mark. The mushroom sauce, while unique, was too sweet and not traditionally paired with gołąbki, while the tomato sauce was very bland. The cabbage rolls themselves were just okay--falling apart too easily with rice that didn't hold together. I'd take Karczma's gołąbki over these any day. I also tried the Pierozek Grill Bowl (available only on weekends). It was decent, but the standout was the fried spinach pierogi--crispy, flavorful, and absolutely delicious! The dish came with seasonal veggies and sliced kielbasa, though the kielbasa itself was just average. Overall, I'd highly recommend this spot strictly for the pierogi--they're phenomenal! I'll definitely be back just for them. I'm officially obsessed!
The food was brought fast. Borscht is just a joke. Rooibos water. Honestly, if I was Ukranian I would take this borscht as an offense. No way you give people red water and you are fine with it. Croquette taste like nothing. And I don't like the taste of nothing. Do not recommend spending money here
