Accidently came by Royal Palms an afternoon in October 2024. We had never seen a shuffleboard club before, so looked inside. The owner was very friendly and told us about the sport and the place, with big enthusiasm. He was so kind (even though we didn't play). When we left, we told him we were going to the nearby brewery Threes brewing, and he said that his wife worked there, and we should say hello. (We did and at first she thought we knew Nick , and even after we told her how it was, she was still so very friendly - thanks 🙏). One of our first meetings with "local New Yorkers" , we still cherish it 👍 Go play shuffle and drink beer 😉
Had a great time here for a birthday party! Was super easy to plan, everyone was very responsive and helpful leading up to the event. For the party itself, everything went really well — the staff was especially really attentive and great. Keaton was super nice and did an awesome job teaching us the shuffleboard basics, and Alex and the rest of the bartender staff were super fun / really contributed to the great vibes!
We had Nik and the Cento Percento team from the Royal Palms restaurant cater our wedding, and they were the absolute best. From the start, Nik just understood the kind of night we wanted—relaxed but special, amazing food without any stress—and made it all happen perfectly. The food was incredible; we lost count of how many guests told us they were the best meatballs they’ve ever had. Everything was fresh, beautiful, and full of flavor, from the antipasti to the sandwiches. Dessert was a huge hit too—Cousin John’s pastries and our favorite rainbow cookies that Nik added as a surprise. That small touch meant so much to us. Nik wasn’t just a caterer; he was calm, kind, and made everything run effortlessly. We couldn’t have asked for a better partner or a better meal. If you’re hosting an event at Royal Palms or anywhere else, we can’t recommend Nik and the Cento team highly enough.
I can’t express how thankful we are for the wonderful wedding reception Royal Palms helped us create. The leadership, direction and responsiveness of the Events planning team was amazing, beginning with the very 1st phone call and continuing throughout the entire process. Because of them we felt so confident that the party would be fun for all and they didn’t disappoint. Not only was the leadership team awesome, we must also give a shoutout to every single staff member at the event. They engaged the guests with shuffleboard in a way no one expected. Not to mention drink service and table clearing. Most of our friends were not sure what to expect from a “shuffleboard wedding reception”, but they couldn’t have been more pleased with the fun and whole experience. Every guest was made to feel welcome. The entire event was a hit. But most importantly, the Bride and Groom had the reception they wanted. Do not hesitate to book your next event at Royal Palms!
I play at the Royal Palms often (it's always a great time), but they recently started making their food in-house. I didn't know what to expect at first, but the food is really good. So far, I've tried the steak tacos and the cheeseburgers both are yummy but I will definitely be getting the cheeseburger again. The servers are polite and answer any questions, and the food choices perfectly match the shuffleboard club's vibe. I would recommend someone try the food if they're ever playing shuffleboard here!
I had the awesome opportunity to celebrate my birthday with family and friends at the Royal Palms Shuffleboard in Brooklyn, NY. We had a Cabana and because I'm a balloon hobbyist, I decorated outside of the Cabana. We had 3 fantastic hours, playing shuffleboard. So if you wanna do something different while celebrating your next birthday, why not choose the Royal Palms Shuffleboard.
Got together with friends and family to celebrate my birthday. We absolutely loved it and had a great time. We ended up booking a reservation with 2.5 hours of play and the beer and wine drink package and it was totally worth it. Timothy, our server, was friendly, attentive and helped us have a good time. Mario, the bartender, was also super friendly! We will definitely be back and also highly recommend.
I've been a league member here since it opened. Such an amazing community that has grown over the years. It's a great weekly night out that gets my competitive juices going, and I constantly make new friends. Also great for company parties, from renting out one or two courts, all the way up to a half or full club rental. They just installed a permanent kitchen, so food quality and consistency will be even better as well. Go try it!
Awesome place for group events- birthday, corporate events, even date nights! Very cool shuffle boards, solid snack choices including birria tacos, and a fully stacked bar. Staff are great too, a lot of vibes with the pumping music and the DJ!
What a unique and fun place to hangout at! Attended a birthday gathering here and we had a blast. Staff is attentive, friendly, and generous. The vibes are immaculate and we had such a nice Sunday with the non-alcoholic drink package, which I thought would be iced tea, coke, water, etc, but it was actually super fun mocktails! Would come back here in a heartbeat. Shoutout Nick for great service!
Fabulous place to watch people having fun, meeting rach other with this quaint old game. In Britain, shuffleboard is played on a table. Here in New York its lanes like bowlung Alleys, things are bigger! The food is from a clasdic food truck snd the staff are so helpful. Great family place.
This was a fun place to have my husband Old Folks party, not expecting to have a blast playing the game, but we did! Drinks were nice and storm but they only had a food truck with a limited menu and it closed pretty early but we had a great time!!
Came from NJ. Actually say the Giants exhibit at the Brooklyn Museum and had this place saved for a minute. If you are wondering if you should go… GO!! This was super dope! Chill vibes, the person who helped us Gabby was Amazing! She is single handedly the reason why we’ll be back! Drinks were great (rec: the earl ball) didn’t have food but there’s a food truck inside. Amazing experience. This is 100% a 5 star place! The person behind the counter was amazing, the music was all vibes. This place was great!
So much fun and quite beautiful. You walk in and it’s a huge warehouse kind of place with about 8 floor shuffle boards. They also have huge Connect 4 games in the middle. There’s a bar AND a Korean “food truck.” The whole place had a Florida vibe (apparently shuffle board a Florida game). They did a beautiful job with the decor, especially the bathrooms (they’re flamingo themed)! Before playing shuffle board, we had a tutoring session. Shout out to Myron! He stuck around if we had questions and cheered us on! The rest of the staff was really nice and welcoming. My friends tried the Korean food, I had a bite of glass noodles bulgogi, thumbs up from me. Great spot for bigger groups for sure. Might do a birthday here. Apparently it gets packed on the weekends. And the night we were there was the night of a shuffle board league game, so we came early and got to play. So I would call and ask if anything specific is going on!
Who knew shuffleboard was for more than just the top deck of a cruise ship?! On top of the shuffleboard, The Royal Palms Shuffleboard Club has multiple bars, tons of other fun games like Mega Connect 4, and a live DJ on most nights. This place is TRULY a party. Plus, they make the cocktails super strong, so don’t be surprised if you end up stumbling out at the end of the night. While there can be a bit of a wait to get onto the shuffleboard courts, there is plenty to do to keep you busy and entertained. Plus, there’s food! It’s everything you need for a hell of a time in NYC. Typical Age Group: You’ll certainly find a bit younger crowd, with most of the patrons ranging from early 20’s to mid 30’s. Cost: An hour on a shuffleboard court is $50, but if you have a few people that’s not too bad of a price. Drink prices are on the lower-mid side, with beers starting at $6 and cocktails coming in at $14.
Very trendy place. Looks like a warehouse from outside but when you step in its absolutely amazing. This was my first visit as my company rented a few booths and paid for unlimited drinks and food. I love the drinks and the food was spicy and delicious (fast food - dumplings, loaded fries, sandwiches, etc).
Every day I'm shufflin'! If you have a fun group on hand and want to do something different for a change, head on over to The Royal Palms! It's very spacious, the staff is welcoming, and the bar and snack section are legit! As you wait for your lane to become available (they give you a buzzer), grab a cocktail and/or sandwich and play some connect four! The Royal Palms encourages walk-ins and, although the wait lasted an hour (it's okay, they told us that in advance), the time flew by! Finally, they had a DJ playing some fantastic music (80s new wave) which I'm a big fan of. Will definitely return!
A cool and fun place to kickoff a night in Brooklyn. I’ve been here twice before and always have a great time! The staff members are very nice and help explain how to play shuffleboard correctly. This place will get crowded in a second so definitely plan it out in advance with friends.
