We haven’t tried the food yet, but first hand impression, the waiters are very sweet! Also the interior is very clean and cozy and homey. It’s really pretty inside, modest, and well decorated.
So good. Best Thai restaurant in the Kensington area. The service is even better than the food - if even possible. Me and my bf had a moment where we were going here 5 out of 7 days in the week. Addicted. If you want to ruin your life, have the Basil Rice. I’d eat it for breakfast. Also their Pad Thai, unbelievably good. Only tip would be to add some vinegar to the peanut sauce, and you’re good. As for everything else? Perfection. I’d give my right leg for their food. And the owner, is the kindest and most caring woman. Her alcohol selection is top tier. ***DO NOT SLEEP ON THIS PLACE. *** It looks small, but has the cutest decor, you can hear the music in the bathroom cause there’s a speaker in there (great selection of music btw), and the staff is so accommodating and friendly. The soups are also so so good. Their coconut soup is my favorite. They also have a great selection of soju and even some other Japanese and Korean alcohols. Also as someone who has many diet restrictions, they have a wide variety of vegetarian options. Their drinks (non alcoholic) are also very good. We’ve gotten their lychee drink so many times and never have gotten sick of it. It’s an actual issue. They leave you giant pieces of lychee and me and my bf always have to remain civil on splitting the last one. lol. - Love Cristina & Eddy 💘🐿️🥜🦋🐝 PS - If you are not into fried food, go light on the duck boas. They are wonderfully soft and flavorful, but if you can’t handle oils or fried food, you might need to ask them to cook it slightly differently. I’d recommend asking the manager before hand. They’re very accommodating and nice, but I’m not sure how the chef would feel lol. The duck is so delicious, but a tad heavy on the oil for me. Maybe add a side of white rice or vinegar?
The pad see ew was excellent. Sometimes other places give you right the color noodles but no flavor. AM Thai is bringing the flavor. Pad Thai is great as well. The staples. Joy, our server, was great too. Inside is small but cozy enough. They even had a small group celebrating a birthday.
My husband ordered takeout from this place. Foods tastes really good! Best Panang in NYC!!
Our favorite Thai restaurant in Brooklyn. I love their seafood drunken noodles, Bk wings, pineapple fried rice, etc... anything you order tastes delicious. They have a big vegetarian option as well. Don't forget to get their Thai tea and fried ice cream. Also try their apple Soju.
Yum yum yum, my new favorite spot. The atmosphere was really nice. The whole restaurant was set up beautiful, especially the bar. The alcoholic beverages tasted great and our server was amazing. Definitely recommend as a nice date spot with your partner.
We love Am Thai. We had an issue with Uber Eats where the driver delivered the incorrect order. We were able to call Am Thai and they still had our original order. We were able to pick it up on our own. They are kind, friendly and quick to address any issues. We recommend to pick up if possible.
I absolutely love this place. I discovered it randomly and can't stop returning. The food is delicious, taste delicious and you can feel its cooked with passion honestly. The service is great, it's a small cozy restaurant, so you know it's a golden little spot ;) already recommended it to friends and definitely will return over and over again
A hidden gem in Flatbush, secret to the locals and loved by the neighborhood! The papaya salad was fresh and bright; full of flavor. The Thai iced teas were a lush red orange and complimented our dishes perfectly. (Ps. If u fw duck…get the crispy duck salad, it’s so good) the Tom yum brought out the sweet and spicy elements most other places are too timid to explore. For an authentic Thai food and delicious experience, get here immediately!
A wonderful little restaurant in Williamsburg that’s definitely worth a visit. Very friendly service and a pleasant atmosphere. We went there twice and had dishes from the “Mom’s Signature” menu as well as dumplings as a starter. The drinks were exceptionally good.
My husband and I had dinner for the first time here last night. The food was absolutely delicious, the casual ambience with beautiful soothing music was so relaxing. And the server and other staff so very welcoming and friendly in their gentle and elegant way. And spotlessly clean. This is our new neighborhood eatery for Thai food. The portions were bountiful and very tasty.
Such delicious fried rice! I ordered the crab one and it was SO flavorful and the texture was perfect. The ambiance is very nice, lots of sunshine and pleasant music. We came on a Tuesday afternoon and had the space to ourselves. It was such a serene environment and relaxing. The service was so friendly and the food was great. We will definitely be back.
I usually stick to their Pad See Ew, but I tried the Yellow Curry and it was so amazing. My friend also told me to try the Som Tam and it was really good. I'm loyal to this place.. Dine-in or delivery, both recommended
I have been eating Thai food for many years, and at this juncture I know when a restaurant makes the mark. AM Thai definitely makes the mark! The food is flavorful and tasty - everything we've tried there so far is - curries, rice dishes, and appetizers. They also have a few different duck dishes. You won't be disappointed if you visit this smaller, neighborhood establishment. See you there!
Wonderful, eye appealing and delicious . The service friendly, professional and attentive ✨
So I went over there because my best friend took me ... She likes their food ... I was full anyway so we just tried appetizer and soup anyway ... But I can say Customer service is really really good .. Waitress be coming every 5-10 mins and asking everything is good or na !!! I like their Thai soup it’s full of vegetables and their spring roll also 🔥 and included their fried calamari ... And in drinks I can say you must go for Thai ice tea with extra sweet trust me it’s mad good .. Also I’m going to post a video of dessert which is fried vanilla ice cream also perfect for 2 people
Wow!! Where do I begin? This Thai restaurant was the finest I've ever been to. The food was superb and service was good!! My friend got their Ginger style Snapper. Man, when his food came out he was just blown away by the size of the fish, the presentation and the amount of food he got overall (I was low key jealouse, lol)... Myself on the other hand was well pleased! Apart from being just a tad bit too salty, my food was quite tasty.. I ordered their Eggplant with tofu in Chilli basil sauce.. I got mild Spicey as I wanted to enjoy my food.. This dish is usually very Spicey. Overall, the service was good, food is great and the bathroom is the cutest thing I've ever seen. Will definitely be visiting here again in the near future.
The food here is absolutely smashing!! I love the drunken noodles with chicken and Thai tea! The restaurant is very cute, I went with my parents. Everyone is very nice and I've had no problems with anything. I usually go take out (cause of college), but I've had a good experience with both.
Place was so pretty! Food was so delicious too😩. This was my second time getting the panang thai, which came with sooo much beef. Worth the price. The thai tea was also good, but was a little on the sweeter side. Roti was chefs kiss. Service was also great. They were very nice. Not my first time coming here and it wont be my last.
Am Thai Bistro is a hidden gem in Brooklyn. This spot serve authentic Thai food and amazing cocktails. Every dish we tried was incredible. The fish was huge ( didn’t expect that lol ) , the Mango salad was super refreshing, and the Khao soi had so much flavor. The whole vibe of the restaurant is super cozy and pretty too with all the flowers. Huge shoutout to Chef Boonnum for making everything so delicious. Service was super friendly too. Definitely adding this to my go-to spots in Brooklyn.
AM Thai is AM-AZING!!! I could not recommend a nicer spot to get local, delicious, and flavorful food! We picked up catering from AM Thai for a film shoot. The team was incredibly accommodating and nice. They individually packed the meals which made them easy to pass out as lunches to hungry cast and crew members. They gave me and the other Production Assistants complimentary Thai tea which was a lovely treat. I highly recommend the crispy pork and the beef pad see ew—both dishes were packed with yumminess. If you’ve read this far, you better go check out AM Thai ASAP!!!
Everything was great Specifically the Hot wings. We also ordered the Winter duck roll which was delicious I’m not sure what kind of bread they used but it was nice and fluffy. For drinks we got the Lychee lemonade which my bestie finished (no picture) and I got the lavender lemonade. The lemonade was so good we took some to go although she changed her drink everything definitely fulfilled our palate. The mimosas were definitely fulfilling I will definitely be coming by again.
Reservation was honored even though my party was more than 15 minutes late and there was no pressure. Traffic is no joke on a Friday evening coming from the city. The food was served quickly and with courtesy. We ordered the spring rolls, bbk wings, basil fried rice, yellow curry, drunken noodles, naan and lychee martini. All items were enjoyed however the noodles were a bit soft. Portion sizes are small however everything was delicious and the presentation excellent. Small dining room and parking is metered on the street.
I came here for my birthday last week and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The service was on point, thank Joy for being a great waitress and trying to get us drunk. The restaurant is quaint, cute and on the smaller side. Probably can fit about 20 people. We had an array of appetizers: Chicken Satay Chives Chicken and Shrimp Dumplings Shrimp Rolls Fresh Mango Salad Bistro Roti (not pictured) Jumbo Margarita and Lychee Martini The margarita was strong, strong. The lychee martini at first was mild but they spiked it for free and it was strong. The drinks were huge. The food was fresh and tasty. I loved the mango salad and the crunchiness of the cashews.
I stopped by yesterday for the first time to get lunch. This little restaurant has really great food and service. Since I am a fan of Thai Farm Kitchen and Corthaiyou I am glad that I have a third option for thai food in the neighborhood. They have a nice sized menu and they serve alcohol. All the prices are very reasonable and the establishment is very clean with hand sanitizers on all the tables. I will definitely be back again in the future.
I really enjoyed having lunch at this cute little restaurant. We were seated quickly, and it wasn't too busy around noon time. The food was very tasty and came out very quickly. I highly recommend the calamari - it was made perfectly, and was absolutely delicious. The herbal gal yang was also a favorite of mine. I wasn't a big fan of the chicken thai satay though.
What a popular Thai spot, there were people waiting outside at 6pm on a Thursday night! So you know the food is good here. Now no matter how hard I try I always end up ordering either pad Thai or drunken noodles. I just can't help but regret when I see someone slurping those delicious rice noodles. The pad Thai here was perfect and just the right amount of wetness (pad Thai lovers know what I mean). Now the drunken noodles are another level, if you like to spice things up then this is the dish for you. There's no alcohol in it despite the name. But a tip for people bringing home leftovers, thai food doesn't smell so great after a spin in the microwave, probably due to the fish sauce.
Let me just say very small and quaint. We got her around lunch time. Appetizers was delicious had the steam dumplings and vegetables egg rolls. The lychee martini was very tasty. I enjoyed the appetizers better the entrees was good but wasn’t nothing for me to be excited about. But overall I enjoyed everything and the service.
There is only so long I can go without some Thai food…. So last night it was AmThai. A little hole in the wall that a friend recommended. The place was busy with constant flow of take outs. I guess the secret was out Got the Som Tam ส้มตำ, and the Phanaeng Curry พะแนง as I am on a Phanaeng Curry streak of my addiction…. The Som Tam (papaya salad ) was good. Could be bigger. The Phanaeng Curry was good a little sweet. The service was great and friendly . . .
Small cute place with really good cheap thai food. Portions are huge! The restaurant is not big but they serve everything fast so usually the wait time is short. It could get a bit loud inside and there is no outside seating, that’s why I gave it four stars instead of five. But it’s definitely a highly recommended place.
I was just one person eating inside and saw that on the table, it stated an 18% gratuity. When I asked if they charge this even with one person, they said yes. Next time I will take out the food. I loved that they had the Pra Ram which is jasmine rice with chicken carrots broccoli and string beans in peanut sauce.
Good food, cozy environment and friendly service. Ordered BKK wings and calamari as our starters. The wings and calamari were hot and fresh but the batter could have used some seasoning. Next, we had the garlic noodles with chicken and the chicken with peanut sauce. The portions size here are larger than expected. Neither one of us were able to finish so we will have yummy leftovers. Also, had the Thai iced tea. As an added bonus, you get the Thai iced tea for free with a Google review so be sure to order it. Overall, I would recommend this spot for quick tasty fare.
The flavors were simply not good- kind of weak and something in my basil fried rice was weirdly very bitter. I only got delivery and don't know about their on-site food, service, or atmosphere, but if you're getting delivery in the area just get Misc instead. 3 stars because the portions were at least a good size and the tofu had a good texture.
I’ve been to this place a few times and the food is always great but this time I wasn’t happy. The Thai iced tea was watered down and also the Jasmine green tea had absolutely no flavor again watered down. The food I can say was good but please take a look at the bill don’t let it fool you. Tax is included and also the gratuity which was about $25.00. Which I feel is ridiculous, I should be able to tip what I want to tip. Unfortunately I won’t be returning.
Really quaint beautiful spot. really nice lighting. Decor was amazing. Drinks were wonderful. My vegetarian pad hammaphan?was decent, flavorful but not spectacular. My friend’s Sole dish was tender and yummy. However good points taken off for the automatic gratuity of 18% for two people. Now mind you, I would’ve just automatically tipped 20%. When I asked, where was the sign announcing this contract (as required) this was met with …it’s around here..somewhere.
3.3.18 - Not bad with great flavor profiles of each dish. We ordered the fried calamari, the papaya salad, basil fried rice, pad wun san, and green curry, all very tasty and balanced. The staff is very nice and they hustle. The drinks look delicious, but we didn't order any. It's obvious it's a popular neighborhood spot and when we put our names down on the wait list the host asked us if we were waiting in our car? So I guess this place attracts a crowd from pretty far. Instead of waiting for our seat we got a roti from Suzy's that's across the street; also very good!
I know people are raving about the food quality and service but I got seated without a table setting, had to ask the server 3 times before my order was taken and when my food arrived, they didn’t give me utensils to eat with. :( that being said. The food is good but I could’ve probably enjoyed this more at home.
It’s a really small spot, makes it uncomfortable for seating and intimacy. The food was lack luster, pad Thai noodles terribly undercooked and too tangy, my boyfriend had the herbal duck and it was not up to par, which was disappointing because this is his favorite Thai food spot and he was excited to take me ... service is slow and disappointing for an extremely small establishment ... sorry babe😔
This was our third visit. We absolutely love the food, absolutely no complains there, but the service was disappointing. We had to repeatedly ask for basic things like utensils and plates, which should have been provided proactively. Overall, the warmth just wasn’t there, the staff rarely smiled. It was a letdown to be treated this way, especially after spending nearly $200 on lunch. Maybe this is what happens when an 18% gratuity is added automatically—there’s no motivation for the staff to work for the tip.
The food was good I won’t lie but I try duck for almost every thai in Brooklyn and all over but this was highway robbery. I paid $27 for 4 small pieces of duck and a container full of rice. I was truly dissatisfied and disappointed. $27?
Really disappointed, first time we ordered from here, had to go thru Uber eats which was fine but the holy basil fried rice was completely mushy, was looking forward to that the most. my daughter did not eat her pad thai, we ordered a few other dishes chicken dumplings and massamon curry were good, wings ok my son only ate one order. for spending over $100 with Uber eats was not worth it, wish it tasted better we were looking forward to a wonderful friday night dinner & movie night 😞
They have a minimum price to use a card. Which is not legal in the city of New York. I will be reporting them to the authorities very shortly. I suggest you do the same.
I recently ordered Tom Yum shrimp soup and rice for delivery. The soup lacked the vibrant balance of sour, spicy, and savory notes characteristic of authentic Tom Yum. The broth was bland, and the shrimp were overcooked and rubbery, detracting from the overall enjoyment. The soup container leaked during transit, causing a mess and reducing the portion size upon arrival. Such packaging oversights not only inconvenience the customer but also compromise the quality of the meal. The rice was bland and greasy, and the holy basil, which should have been the star ingredient, was barely noticeable. The vegetables appeared overcooked, and the shrimp component was dry and lacked seasoning.
I placed a delivery order at 9:30 PM, and at 10:00 PM, Uber canceled it because they couldn’t find a driver. I immediately called the restaurant to confirm if the food had been made and offered to pick it up since I live just one block away. Instead of understanding, the staff was rude and treated me like I was trying to steal the food. I explained that Uber canceled, not me, and I was willing to pay and pick up my order, but they still acted unprofessional. It’s frustrating to be treated this way, especially as a frequent customer. I expect better service and respect, and this experience really left me disappointed.
I have never written a review in my life. I ordered mango sticky rice, a duck roll and lychee iced tea for delivery directly from their website. I live less than 0.5 miles from the restaurant. Every item's container was shattered and food leaking everywhere. I literally gave a tip before delivery and it was the worst service I've ever had, so bad i had to write this review.
Made a reservation 5 hours in advance and my reservation was given away to another party. Not sure what is so difficult about holding a reservation and making sure the correct party fills that reservation. Be careful making a reservation here.
I was given raw meat and mushy watery rice that I got sick for eating. It was so disgusting!!!! I asked for a refund for my order and they refused to give it to me since I didn’t not bring the food back. I told them I had picked it up 10 mins before closing so there wasn’t a way of me to take back. I showed them my receipt and everything. I was told I was going to get a call from the owner about this issue and he never address my concern. This is so annoying, I get it it’s close to closing time but if I’m paying $25 for a plate I expect it to not taste like shit like common do better. Save your money and don’t go to shitty places like this.
My to go order took less than 5 minutes from me ordering til the bag was placed in my hand. i should've known this food was trash. I ordered basil fried rice with shrimp. It was the absolute worst I ever had. This rice was soft and soggy like it was steamed. No way it was fried and instead of basil there was hunks of green pepper in it. If the egg was in it, it must've been invisible or masked as green pepper. I couldn't eat that mess. I wasted $18 and I'm was still hungry
