Best butter cookies around. We’ve been coming here for years. Friendly staff, good prices, delicious food and desserts. Love the new renovation and the addition of the pizza.

Lasagna is awesome! Large orders are ok, they forgot 1 sandwich out of the 2 times we ordered for our office, but Doordash reimbursed us. Everyone loved their sandwiches and pastas. Would def order again, portions are huge!

This is your quintessential NYC Italian-American bakery. A perfect balance of taste and affordability. I would go as far as to say Generoso’s is Sunset Park’s gem, hidden in plain sight. From the fresh ground coffee, to their assortment of well crafted and beautifully presented pastries, you can’t go wrong with your choice. But if you must try something, that would be their NYC style cheesecake. A crustless variety, baked so that outer edges of the dessert almost caramelize. It’s not quite basque, and not your traditional cheesecake, but delicious in every way. All good things are worth waiting for, so do not come in here looking for top speed service. Although you can tell with the effort they put in that they try to get you in and out as quick as possible.

This is probably one of the last original family owned business in Sunset Park.It used to be an Italian neighborhood but it has changed a lot over the years.Generoso’s has changed too but keeping the same quality and originality that has been there for generations. Before it was a great bakery,pastry and of course delicious bread,and now they also have Pizza,a very good one. Arancini,mozzarella sticks,out of the world and of course enormous hero sandwiches. Let’s keep this store alive,go and shop there,order a delivery,pick up and help to keep this marvelous place where it is for the next 100 years!!!!!❤️

I had a delicious sandwich with frittata and provolone cheese! Very high quality, it looks like an Italian delicatessen and smells soooo good! So sorry that I discovered it late and only visited once. Marianna who served me is lovely. Thank you!!!

Generoso's is amazing, and places like this are becoming increasingly extinct. I would walk 10 blocks out of my neighborhood just for the indulgence of their Soppressata Heroes. The atmosphere inside is a bit old world, cozy, and somehow you feel very familiar and safe. I miss this place.

A cute local bakery I think it supposed to be an Italian one but it is influenced by the neighborhood. We found both Italian and Hispanic style pastries. The salespeople a friendly and fun. The pastries are tasty but I think there could be a bit of more selection.

One plain Sicilian & one plain Neapolitan? Yes, & I'm glad 😁 I got 'em from generous Generoso's. Regular slices should suffice, & they sure did right here.

The pizza slices and the chocolate were good, but there is a two-dollar fee for paying with Tap...

I just ordered from this place cause I thought I'd give them a shot to see if the food was good here. What a big mistake, took two bites of my sandwich till I saw a bug and a bug leg in my sandwich. Called them to see if I can return the food and get a refund and they told me to contact the GrubHub app about it. So I have to now contact an app about a flaw in their food service. Literally feel sick to my stomach as I'm writing this. I took pictures as well.

I’m from Florida on a business trip and I happened to run into this “restaurant “ had a slice of pizza, small latte,& a pop. These 3 items combined costed me $17 and if you use a debit/credit card.. they charge you a dollar. The pizza was not good. It was missing flavor. This place is a dump.

I know the owner and we always got along and shared stories. But she has someone who works there that does not treat all customers equally and fairly. She will by-pass some customers to serve others first and completely ignore you. I brought it to the owners attention when the woman was working and the woman admitted she was doing this to me. She later did it to me again as well as to other family members. I reached out to the owner again, no response, no apologizes. She ghosted me. I cannot support a business that only serves particular people. The owner should have apologizes instead of complaining about the customer.

They should change their name "Generoso's" they clearly know nothing about being generous, if they're charging 8 damn dollars for a BACON EGG AND CHEESE ON A ROLL! that's ridiculous, I don't know who they think they are charging double the price when other bakerys or deli's sells it for 4. I'm never going back.
