Food and service were both super, I couldn't ask for more. I had been walking all day, and my waiter kept my water full, he was attentive without being intrusive, and very pleasant.
3/29/24 back for a late lunch. We sat at the bar. Service was really good. I had the sausage app and the mushroom mac. Both very good and just the right amount. Early 2020: I've been here several times. The food is good and so is the service. Midweek happy hour is good as well. Had the smoked turkey sandwich, collard greens and cornbread. All good. I'll be back for more...
5 stars to our server Eddy. He clearly loves his job and provided great service and hospitality!!!
Friendly and happy employees. Service is fast and efficient. Never a bad decision in this neighborhood. Great bbq, brisket and the happy hour is the best ever. Highly recommend.
Highly recommend the “Morganʼs Fried Chicken Sandwich” DEFINITELY had to cut in half because it was so huge! But delicious! Flavorful! I paired it up with the pineapple and rosè cider both flavors was just okay! Definitely a cool summer local spot .. Will be returning once it warms up again!
We sat outside on the most beautiful day of the year. We shared a bbq plate. The ribs ans brisket were expert. The smacked sausage was really good too. I tried a hazy IPA from The Other half. The bourbon list is
Great Food, Great Service. Love the outdoor seating. Arrive early as it does get crowded. Food was phenomenal and I highly recommend trying the whole menu. Everything was incredible, drinks are awesome. Whether you are in Brooklyn or not, if you are in the mood for some authentic barbecue you have found the right spot!
Best burger and Mac n cheese Loving it so much id be back always
The food was great! Eddie was so nice and sweet! I love restaurant week so much 😭😭😭❤️❤️❤️
YUM! Excellent ribs and meats. BBQ sauce is great as well. The food is on the pricier side, but can't fault the quality. The space is large but gets busy in the evenings. Not a long wait; I waited for less than 5 min in peak time. Outdoor and indoor sections. Beers were served in chilled mason jars (which feels a bit 2015).
Good food. Good staff. They're great about answering questions about the food. Mac and cheese, and fried chicken are excellent
Eddie great customer service he had me come two days in a row just because his customer service was so great… he greeted me and check on me making sure I was good and if I needed anything….. I think this is my new go to spot because of Eddie
Morgan's is a barbecue restaurant in Flatbush in Brooklyn. It's got a few big tables outside and about a dozen tables inside with a bar area as well. They have a good sized menu and prices are what's expected but portion sizes are decent. They have good pours, with good deals on the frozen drinks. Fried chicken and waffles was delicious. The staff are friendly and helpful. Great spot for just drinks or food as well. Also, their music selection was absolutely amazing- great ambiance.
Great food! Both gluten free and gluten full. Shoutout to Penny and Brandon! I went for NYC restaurant week and emailed ahead asking what from the restaurant week menu was GF. They emailed back and were happy to! I got the Texas Chili Bowl, Saucy Pork Ribs, and Vanilla Ice Cream. I also got a side of Loaded Baked Potato and split Street Corn with someone. Really really good bbq! The Smoked Atlantic Salmon is also gluten free. I didn’t ask about anything else but I’m sure there’s a few more things on the menu.
The my know BBQ I love FATTY brisket ..... I got the trinity and Brandon totally got me and when the amazing plate came we both thought the it could be fatty er and sure enough the chef sent out a serving sooo fatty and juicy. I love the attention and friendly service .... Charles and Brandon had every body laughing ... great energy and affordable
Just saw you on Good morning America! Congrats!! I’m in Houston looked at the menu, if closer would love to try your Mac n Cheese and Brisket! Many Blessings!
Morgan's BBQ is a great venue for barbeque/eating and really great atmosphere for drinks. They have an extensive bourbon list that matches well with the barbeque. We had brunch and would love to come back for dinner. The omlette was fluffy with cheese & tender brisket. Matter of fact all briskets came out for juicy and tender. I had to steal from the kids who ordered the smoked Bacon Mac & cheese. Every dish you heard the plate scraped. FYI...we had a party of 15 and made the reservations the day before. They fit us nice and cozy. The server, I believe his name was Charles or Charlie, was world class and more importantly patient with the kids. If you decide to meet up before a game or event at the Barclays, this place is the perfect venue. Enjoy!
A group of us went to brunch on Saturday to celebrate my husband's birthday. We had a fantastic time! We all ordered different things and shared/tasted. The fatty brisket and coleslaw stole the show, but everything was delicious. The brunch menu is great and way more affordable than most in the area. Our server Charles was available, attentive and got everything exactly right, which is rare for a big group. He even sang happy birthday. I highly recommend and I personally can't wait to go back to brunch again.
Been on a Morgan's High over the years and it is always a delightful experience. I have introduced so many people here and I have hired Morgan's for a few catering gigs: which has won so many people over. The Texas Two Step alone is divine. You won't be disappointed.
Definitely check out Morgan’s! Had delicious smoked wings with Buffalo sauce and blue cheese. I haven’t tasted Buffalo sauce this way and I can’t put my finger on it but it was SO good and the house made blue cheese dressing is a great compliment. I like that it’s not a super blue cheese taste but it’s a good balance. We also had the Morgan’s cheeseburger which was perfectly cooked with French fries. My hubby added candied bacon to his burger. I had to have some and it was pretty tasty. If you are partial to a sweet cocktail, you have to try the Texas Two Step. Lastly, we shared the Molten Brownie with Vanilla Ice cream and it was equally yummy. Hat’s off to the chef. Everything was pretty enjoyable. Our waiter Jeff was also great and attentive.
I went on October 17th to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday. Eddie took amazing care of us, absolutely astounding & amazing customer service. I have never been to a restaurant and been more cared for. Incredibly grateful & I want you to know you did an absolutely amazing and fantastic job hiring him. One of the best decisions made, and he made our experience memorable and amazing. Eddie is absolutely amazing, thank you so much again
Man , I was craving some good ol’ BBQ. I definitely used Yelp for this spot. This spot seemed underrated but I went based of the pictures. We had made a reservation prior and walked in and were seated right away. From the waiter we were told few good recommendations and we definitely listened. It’s was a great idea , perfect for 2 hungry 200lbs+ Men. We had Wings , Mexican Corn , Platter , Beef Brisket and Bacon Mac Cheese. Loved the place everything was amazing . Loved the ambiance and bar. Definitely will be back !! Service - Perfect Very Welcoming Ambiance- Nice Corner Location , barn Setup Reservation- Not Needed but Preferred WiFi - Not Sure Parking - Street Metered
One of Brooklyn's BEST offerings of Barbecue - Morgan's is the epicenter of deliciousness. Indoor and outdoor dining with a HUGE drink menu only compliments their smoky eats! The Pastrami Rib is the huge WIN here - Slide off the bone, beautifully smoked with a flavor that puts Kosher restaurants to shame... MUST HAVE. The Candied Bacon is to die for as is the Pork Belly - Make sure you order servings of both while there, you'll thank me! The Ribs and Brisket have been a staple at the big local competitive for years now and there's a reason why they're always one if the favorites - They're AWESOME! Another highlight is the Sausage - Perfect snap with flavor that claps back! Sides including the Mac & Cheese (3 cheeses), Cornbread, Potato Salad and Cole Slaw are all perfect to accompany your proteins. I suggest a visit, VERY highly recommended! **Update - Still amazing! Check out their sister restaurant, Tiny's Cantina too... only a block over (incredible guacamole)!
MOTHER OF GOD! You want good BBQ, this is the place! I work upstairs from Hometown BBQ and reviewed them poorly. Morgan’s makes that review even worse. This is hands down the best BBQ in NYC, PERIOD! I’ve had BBQ all over NY and NOTHING touches this. Ordered sausage, brisket, pork belly, and chili. Shared some with coworkers and all said the same. EXCELLENT! They just won the catering job for our next party!!!!
The food was great. The service was amazing. Thanks to our server, Eddie, this is now one of my brooklyn staples. See you next time man. 🤙🤙
I came to this Restaurant plenty of time iy is Amazing the ribs I had with a friend of mines it was amazing the seasoned one I preferred better than the BBQ one and we also had the street corn and the pinto beans and the Mac and cheese with cheddar was great and Hailey our Server was Hospitality at it finest she was so Pleasant and welcoming I would Definitely recommend coming to My friends and have a social gathering here with my friends or even a birthday party this is the place Morgan's BBQ in Brooklyn Flatubush Area. Thanks Morgan's BBQ for making out Stomach filled with such great food it was an amazing time and also Food.
Oh my gosh, so Morgan's Is definitely added to the "go to" food list. The food was delicious and well prepared, Our waiter was adorably helpful and the atmosphere was nice. The music wasn't loud so you can still hear the person in front of you and I liked the different seating options available. I would definitely recommend this place. Especially for any fellow rib connoisseurs. I got the glazed full rack of ribs, mashed potatoes, a strawberry margarita and a piece of corn bread which was lovely! 💕
I had a great time! Eddie was amazing & I will be back for Happy Hour! He suggested the collard greens… GET THEM & they’re vegan.
Dined at this location during restaurant week. First off the waiter served me some coffee , due to how cold NYC has been . That gesture was so nice , they do serve alcoholic beverages also. Far as my entree I loved The brisket tacos. Tender , flavorful, tasty. They have a variety of different bbq options, sides & desert options
We absolutely loved the Food we went to go have a sample of the food because I wanted to book them for catering for my birthday party. Eddie was so awesome. He helped us out so much. The food was amazing and we just had an overall great experience. We definitely will be going back.
Ordered takeout. Loved the pork ribs and fatty brisket. The chicken wings were small and the pulled pork a tad bit dry. The BBQ and blue cheese sauce helped it. All dishes were tasty.uber dropped it off on time.
Love Morgan’s! They have great pulled pork and ribs. They are familiar with gluten allergies and are able to tell you what is safe. Everyone that works there is lovely and they take good care of you.
Solid BBQ, sides were especially good. The coleslaw needs something but the rest was great the Mac and cheese and the fatty brisket were particularly good. Service was awesome, attentive, very considerate about allergies, happy to have kids there. We can't wait till go back.
I had a great time at Morgan’s BBQ! Everything was pretty solid across the board — food, drinks, and service. Our server Tim was excellent (no surprise he was “Employee of the Month”), and he made the experience even better. The buffalo wings were hands-down my favorite dish — perfectly cooked and packed with flavor. The mac & cheese was creamy and comforting, while the steak and chicken were both cooked well and satisfying. The collard greens could’ve used a bit more seasoning for my taste, but overall, the food was enjoyable. I’ve been to a lot of BBQ spots around the country, so I tried to keep my expectations neutral, but Morgan’s definitely holds its own. Drink-wise, I absolutely loved my frozen margarita — refreshing, flavorful, and perfect for the atmosphere. Speaking of the atmosphere, it was just right: lively but relaxed, with a great outdoor vibe. I enjoyed being in the mix of everything while still feeling like I had my own space. I’d definitely come back — especially for the wings and margaritas!
We had a great time! A delicious meal, friendly staff, and cool decor. We were on their patio which was fun & chill. The bbq chicken, & ribs, had the right amount of bbq taste and was so good, we forgot to put their bbq sauce on it! We started with Nachos & Kielbasa which were habitable forming!! We'll be back as soon as possible!
Have not been here in years but decided last night was a good night to enjoy some barbecue. Weather was perfect and we were able to grab a seat outdoors. Truly exceptional service and accommodation for a large party of 5 adults and 2 children. Both George (the owner) and Alana (I hope I spelt her name right) the server were very hospitable and kind. Will definitely have to come back and visit. Ended off the night with some of there great desserts on the house Key lime pie (my sisters and I favorite), chocolate brownie pie with ice cream and fried Oreos (the kids favorite). Thank you !
I had the glazed ribs, pork belly, and the old school mac and cheese and everything was absolutely amazing. The ribs were especially the standout, they were sooo tender and the sauce on it was a 10/10. Waiters were very nice and service was attentive and quick. I can’t wait to go back.
My girlfriend and I went here for restaurant week, and I have to say, this spot was well worth the trip from Queens. The price of the full meal for restaurant week was only $30 a person! Not bad for the quality of the food. Plus, the staff was very attentive, and the ambiance definitely gave the Texas BBQ vibe. Morgan’s is definitely one of the best BBQ spots I’ve been to since moving away from Texas. That said, I have only one complaint. The banana bread pudding was not to my taste. Which was very disappointing, because regular banana pudding is one of my all time favorite desserts. The bread pudding was really dense, and a bit hard to chew. Kinda felt rubbery. To be fair, my girlfriend thoroughly enjoyed it. So, it’s mostly just a personal preference thing. All in all, I’d very much recommend Morgan’s for a nice dinner or date night out in Brooklyn.

My go to for bbq in Brooklyn. Always good drinks flowing. Best brisket in Brooklyn and burnt ends are amazing when they actually have. Can go wrong with the smoked wings either
Good barbecue, chicken sandwich, happy hour and drinks. Staff are friendly and accommodating.

Nice BBQ joint in park slope area. The staff were super friendly, especially as we accidentally entered via the kitchen entrance!! Worth noting there's some scaffolding outside at the moment so it's difficult to spot. I had the Mac and cheese with brisket which was do delicious. The Mac and cheese had a strong cheese flavour that worked really well with the soft and smoky brisket. Really happy to see a cider on the menu too!
Morgan’s has pretty decent bbq and I personally appreciate their brisket since they use a jerk rub. The ribs are fairly decent as well. Comparable to most “southern bbq” spots in Brooklyn, I feel it’s worth a try. They have a really deep selection of bourbon as well with some good craft beer options.
My aunt gave me a gift certificate to come here and eat. The food was a great. This place is up there with my list of great bbq in Brooklyn. hometown BBQ on the top of the list. The brisket was great, the pork ribs were good. the only gripe I had was, no beef rib was available (which is served after 5pm. I got there around 6:30) the baked potato was really good, the mash potatoes were insane. Mac and cheese was delicious. Cole slaw was another great choice. The jalapeno cornbread was good, but the butter that comes with it was psychotic!!! OMG so fluffy and sweet! I spread that on anything I could! I left out one star until I try the beef rib. Looking forward to come back and try it the next time. Outside seating available for the nice weather They also cater!
I treated my mom for lunch on a pretty Saturday afternoon. Most diners sat outside while we sat indoors. They have a big bar and you can see inside of the kitchen. My mom ( an extremely picky eater- lol) ordered a half slab of ribs, onion rings and cornbread. I wanted the pastrami but it wasn't available so I got mac and cheese, brisket and the bourbon lemonade. When the server bought out the ribs they were cold and my mom asked for them to be reheated. The manager got my mom a new order and she was happy. She absolutely loved her onion rings and sauce that came with it. She loved them so much she was full and took 90% of her ribs home. Lol. The cornbread was good with kernels inside of it. The Mac and cheese was really tasty as well. My brisket was delicious too. Nice spot to visit especially if you like BBQ. Both of the BBQ sauces on the table are pretty good too. I'd visit them again.
Food was great but service was amazing! Eddie was super hospitable and personable, I’d give him 6 stars if I could. Made my visit very comfortable.
Heard from a friend must have the brisket. The chopped sandwich was excellent, with a rich BBQ flavor and subtle, persistent smoke. Collards were also great, with visible pieces of garlic. Exceptional service that was relaxed and professional. Would return and love to bring friends to a casual, unfussy setting.
While staying in Brooklyn this past weekend my friends and I were exploring and came across Morgan's. It's a very cute environment with a nice outside patio! The service was quick and waiters very friendly. I only had some potato salad... Which was just ok honestly... But my friends raved over the chicken sandwich and pancakes!! Over all I would totally recommend! Dew approved 👍🏽
pretty chill, decent, airy spacey atmosphere with tall ceilings and a good view of Flatbush Ave, came here to chill after work and had the Trinity platter which comes with brisket, ribs, sausage and cornbread, they're heavy hitters for smoked, and also the bacon smoked mac and cheese which was for fei lo but cheesy, and it had good burned bits on the meat and the barbecue sauce both have the same level of spiciness which was interesting, but both are pretty decent and the ribs were good, the sausage was probably not necessary, I like the cornbread and pickles.
Overall, a solid Barbecue joint. However, it depends on what you order. Initially I ordered the best lean beef brisket I’ve had in New York. Encouraged by this, I thought I’d give the fatty beef brisket a go. Unfortunately it wasn’t as good. We also ordered the wings which were far too crispy and overcooked to be enjoyable. On the other hand, the sausage was really good. I’d recommend coming and just ordering the brisket, everything else is a bit of a gamble. Is it worth coming for just the brisket? Absolutely.
Great happy hour deals. Draft beers were only $5 and all the appetizers were half off. I ordered the Texas chili and the chicken wings. The wings were amazing. They smoke them during the day and then deep fry them to order to crisp them up. You can get them with either bbq or buffalo sauce. I opted for buffalo and loved them. The chili was just okay for me. I guess “Texas” chili means there are no beans. I didn’t realize that when I ordered it. It was good but was basically an entire bowl of meat with sauce.
My plan was to have lunch after seeing an exhibit at the Brooklyn Public Library, and this was a close option. Because it was hot, I decided to sit inside by the AC lol. I was greeted and sat right away. I had the chili & cornbread, it was OK, didn't like it in mini pan, would have preferred a bowl , Has brisket cheese teak, probably would have changed type of cheese, but it was good..& berry lemonade /palmer was yummy 😋 Quick service and was able to get in & out in time I needed to. Took ribs & mac n cheese to go...Yada Yada ribs were good. I'm a dan if BBQ spots, and a little sad no Baked Beans but overall a lot if options and if I was in area, would go again. To try Brisket tacos 🌮 and Pulled pork.
A great find! Holy trinity platter + the nachos with brisket, everything was very tasty. Huge portions so took half away with us. We weren’t checked on at all during the meal and didn’t enjoy the cold air every few minutes from the door which will effect every table except those around the corner I imagine
First and foremost, I’m happy to see that Morgans is open again. I did go yesterday for a little birthday dinner with my mom. OK so The first time I’ve been to Morgan’s before the fire they were spot on delicious now yesterday when I went, the food was good, but it was a little dry, the meat wasnt tender as I thought it should’ve been, but I’m not giving up on them. I’m gonna go back. Maybe they just had an off day But please do try.
We came for saturday early dinner and the space is intimate and quite small in terms of table size. The kale salad had good crunchy but the croutons wasnt too yummy. The service was nice, bbq table sauce was sweet, and the pork ribs was better in glazed. My mocktail drink berry fizz was yummmmy but my friends' cocktails wasnt too good they didnt have a lot of liquor in them. We also ordered the half smoked chicken and I was surprised it came with green sauce It was so yummmmyy i love green sauce!! The bathroom is nice, i didnt get to explore downstairs which the sign said has additional restroom. A bit sadd the collard greens didnt have any turkey bits in there. Coleslaw was alright. Overall, it was just ok.
I came to Morgan’s during restaurant week, and I was really impressed! For $30, their prix fixe menu was totally worth it—such a great deal considering the quality. The meat was the star of the show: flavorful, tender, and cooked to perfection. The smoky depth and seasoning were spot-on, and it paired well with the sides. I loved their mac & cheese, which complemented the BBQ nicely. The atmosphere was chill, service was friendly, and the portions were generous. If you’re craving good BBQ at a solid price, this place is definitely worth checking out. I’d be back for sure!

Came here before a show at Barclays. It was the last summer night of October so we got to sit outside. We got the three pigs platter with a side of onions for my mom and I to share. It was plenty! …
Ordered through uber eats - usually we love the food here but this time it was not it . The Mac and cheese gave soup as the cheese was very soupy and spilling throughout the bag and the ribs were not that good. Disappointed.
When: Friday at 7:30pm Party Size: 2 Fatty Brisket: 6/10 Brisket is always phenomenal but this isn't as tender and flavorful as I had hoped. No smoke ring too. Beef rib: 7/10 They were out of the "ginormous" size so we got the one below that costs $22. This thing was huge and packed with meat. I can't imagine the size of the above one. It was very peppery with no bark but pretty tender. It needs sauce (spicy is best). No smoke ring either. I'm also comparing this to Phils BBQ in San Diego so the bar is set really high. Mac n cheese: 6/10 We got the regular style Mac n cheese and I was expecting it to be better. Served in a cast iron skillet, it seemed there was no cheesiness in the Mac, only on top. Below my expectations. Candied bacon: 7/10 Love me some good bacon. Very flavorful and a good amount for the order. Sweet with a spicy kick. Only thing was that it's cold. Service: 7/10 We walked in and weren't greeted. After a few mins someone came over and they were actually really nice, it was just super busy. The wait was 45 mins to an hour but we got lucky and found 2 seats at the bar right away as people were leaving. Mad props to the very pregnant bartender. She is the real OG here and was working so hard for the people at the bar, behind the bar, food runners, food orders and everything. She's also hilarious and makes it very comfortable and enjoying for everyone. You can tell she was the glue. Ambiance: 7/10 Loud, packed, typical bbq experience however it has the cozy family type of experience because all the workers seem to love working with one another. Overall: 7/10 I'd come back to try to ginormous beef rib. I think Pig Beach has better bbq to be honest. I'm not sure if they even smoke their meats here as none of the food had smoke rings.
The place is very cute, because they have an outdoor area on the sidewalk and the staff is super friendly. Unfortunately I was expecting more from the food: the pancakes were very simple, no decorations or fruit, but only a tiny container with syrup. I had to ask for extra syrup, and I would have liked even more. The chicken and biscuits dish was actually better and very tasty.
Definitely a menu you have to learn to navigate bc of the pricing. Dessert here at $10 is a questionable decision considering doughnut plant is around the corner. I didnt love my meal but the outdoor seating and bar is pretty awesome so i will be returning. Above all though, the service was uncommonly kind — just really good people. For that reason most of all i will return
The outside seating had umbrellas but 3 tables were under the restaurants awning. Our waitress was great, very friendly and attentive. The food was ok. The chicken wings were good so was the brisket but the ribs were not fall off the bone. Actually one side of the ribs was still red. Glad I tried this place but will not be returning. The pictures of food are not full size portions, I already ate some before taking pictures.
Great location, really nice storefront and seating options. Super attentive servers and bar staff. Check out the specials/happy hour at the bar seating spots as if you sit there at certain times you get discounts on some drinks and sides. We tried the Three Pigs platter, lots of meat but overall were super unimpressed with the quality of meat and flavors. Had to add a bunch of extra sauce on the pulled pork to revive it - it was so dry. The pork belly and ribs were good. Just surprised at the quality for the price. $37 or so for the platter we expected to be blown away. Our search for the perfect Brooklyn BBQ spot still continues, but definitely come here over Dino BBQ I can tell you that.
Finally, Morgan's is back! There wasn't a table available immediately but the staff was very accommodating and got us seated quickly. We later moved to the bar and had a great time in both sections. The dueces by the window are wonky. The table is kind of low and the stools are high making for a somewhat uncomfortable dining experience. Our server and bartender were attentive. The beef ribs had a nice beefy flavor but it was a little dry. The candied bacon was tasty but a little overcooked. The brisket sauces sandwich was also a little overcooked but still tasty They have a liquor list which features bourbons. I inquired about a hot toddy but they didn't have hot water. I also asked if they had mint so I could order a bourbon smash or a mint julep. They didn't have mint either. The margarita and gin and juice cocktail were okay (margarita might have been made which sweet and sour mix). The whisky sours were made with egg whites and we're amazing. Overall experience was okay. Pricier than Mighty Quinn's or Home Town BBQ for brisket by the pound. It's in a convenient location so I will definitely be back when I'm in the mood for BBQ.
I went on Saturday night and was told they were taking final orders. I placed a simple order of just cheeseburger with fries. I waited 20 mins for them to prepare the meal. When I got home there was no burger at all. Just fries and a bun with lettuce. I was charged $25 for this. Absolutely unacceptable for a business. Update: I was compensated with a gift card as well as a refund for this.
Food 2/5 Service 5/5 Ambience 2/5 This barbecue restaurant was on my list for months. Now that I was in the area I finally decided to check it out. Sadly, many items on the menu were not available. The original macaroni and cheese was absolutely disgusting. It was so watery literally 50% water no cheese. There was only cheese at the top. It didn’t even stick together. Not to mention it lacked flavor. Not even salt and pepper. You know it’s bad when a three year-old refuses to eat it. The pastrami short ribs 3/5. The coleslaw and fries were surprisingly good. The smoked chicken was ok once you added their in-house sweet bbq sauce. I will not be returning or recommending this place because of that but also they have some sort of plumbing issue a possible leak that is not being addressed. As the restroom smells like mold. Not to mention due to the set up of the restaurant a burst of cold air will hit you every 2 to 5 minutes due to the door being open so you’ll have to wear your coat while dining or freeze. On a positive note, the entire team is very friendly. My waitress was amazing. The host was kind so was every employee we came across.
I was craving comfort soul food and was excited about Mac and cheese. The consistency and texture were amazing, but the taste was just plain milk. I think using sharp cheddar cheese or light seasoning would help improve the flavor. The chili was too sweet for my liking; The wings were also a little questionable. They were red, but I’m going to give them another try soon. The packaging was great, and I think they’d do a lot better if they tweaked the ingredients.
Pretty good bbq, the ribs were my personal fav but the brisket was tough. The colors and beans needed more flavor too. However, seasonal apple pie was fantastic! Great mock tails too
Food was bland and tasteless, atmosphere was subpar and the service was meh. Definitely wouldn’t recommend. I really had high hopes walking in because of the smell and reassuring the bartender was at first, but once served then ignored I knew don’t set the bar too high. When I got home and tried the traditional mac and cheese I almost cried, it was just boiled noodles with watered down milk and baked cheese on top. The wings were ginormous, chewy, and also lacked the flavor I was hoping they had. It was like the story of Hansel and Gretel, the lure of the smell drawing you in to spend money on nothingness 😣😞.
The food there was awful. Bland, tasteless. The mac and cheese tasted like watery milk with no cheese or seasoning. The chicken was nasty and undercooked. I felt nauseous after I took the first bite of chicken. You need to hire a new cook. I encountered a rude staff. I asked him a question and he just looked at me and walked off. I will never eat at Morgan's again.
They just didn't hit it. Our server rambled off a long list of things they were out of at 6:30pm on Father's Day as if dad's wouldn't request a bbq spot for their day. He also seemed pretty out of it, who knows the reason. We had to ask him to repeat the things they were out of and actually clarify what they did have. The top hits (brisket, which my dad chose this spot for, and fried chicken) were gone so we settled. I asked if there were any vegan options, nope. Fair enough, it is a BBQ spot. When I asked for lettuce with oil and vinegar the answer was we don't have that... you don't have oil? Vinegar? I don't believe you. At least try to get some money from me. The shrimp tacos cost $20 (for 2 tacos) and included tails as if you're supposed to chomp through a taco with tails, it's not a basket. The specialty bacon ribs were good according to dad. The spicy jalapeno margarita was ugly, but strong. If I (the vegan) can only have a margarita for a meal at least make it cute. In the end the card reader offered 18% tip as a minimum. Girl. The server only refilled the water when he came back to drop off the check, while leaving the dirty dishes on the table until we left. Hate to leave a bad review but y'all really need to do better. We came here years ago when there was at least one vegan option. We had a great time then. No, vegans don't want to come here but we do so if our loved ones want it on their special day. Somehow this (ribs, potato salad, tacos, one glass of wine and one margarita) came up to about $100 including tip and tax.
I could only give 2 stars because the food itself was amazing. The service, however, was absolutely terrible! Our server was very inattentive, and whoever the tall gentleman with braids and a hat that was behind the bar was quite unprofessional, and to be frank, he is the reason I'd never go back. I ordered a Hendricks martini, up. I asked for no garnish, no vermouth. Just gin in a pretty glass. Mind you, I'm ordering a martini, so granted it should be chilled. They proceed to serve me a martini glass filled with warm gin and 4 olives on a toothpick. I explain I'd like the drink chilled and the server takes it back to the bar. I can hear the young man going back and forth with the server about "she asked for gin in a pretty glass, so that's what I did", he then proceeds to take the warm gin and just pour it into a chilled martini glass. I see this and ask for it to be chilled, like shaken with ice, and I didn't hear what was said clearly but he was clearly unhappy that I asked him to make my drink properly. I didn't get his name but no need because we'll never be back. I was hoping our server would do better but he was just as terrible that I didn't even tip 20%. I will say, the pastrami short rib is a must have and is quite delicious

OMG! I ordered takeout by phone. Holy Trinity and Bacon Mac and Cheese. Went home and was horrified by what I paid $60.00 for: 3 Pieces of dried out ribs, stale corn bread, 1 tough piece of sausage…
Ordered via Uber eats (11/6) ordered the “fatty brisket/pork belly/ glazed ribs) along with sides of collard greens/ pinto beans and potato salad. All the meat is dry, unseasoned and over all tasteless and tough to digest. The collard greens has no seasoning (garlic, red pepper flakes/ vinegar) it’s honestly like boiled greens from the can. The best thing out of this entire $174 order was the queso and that is scary for a bbq institution such as this.
I’ve been a regular at Morgan’s Brooklyn Barbecue, but after today’s experience, I won’t be returning. To be treated poorly in my own neighborhood at a restaurant I’ve previously enjoyed was disappointing and unacceptable. One staff member was disrespectful toward me and other customers. No matter how good the food is, service this poor undermines the entire experience. I have photos available if the owner wishes to verify what happened.
Last night my sister and I ordered delivery from Morgan's BBQ here in Brooklyn. We spent $120.00 incl the tip. We ordered fatty brisket, corn bread, collard greens, and key lime pies. The brisket was dry/overcooked, the corn bread was "spongy", and what they called butter for the corn bread was this watery substance that did not resemble butter at all. The key lime pies, @ $12/piece, were underwhelming. The collard greens were passable. This was a major disappointment, as there was a time that we enjoyed Morgan's fare. We will not be ordering from them again, nor will we recommend Morgan's to anyone.
Probably will not be going back. Had high hopes for this and it failed unfortunately. First off, service was nice but really slow. We sat outside and you can tell from photos it wasn't particularly busy. And our food somehow took a long time for a small tray. Maybe they were cooking a fresh batch I said. But when the food came it wasn't the case. So many things went wrong too. First they ran out of steak which was the main dish I was really there to try. But they didn't tell us this until 10 min after we placed our order in. Then we revised our order and somehow the waiter didn't understand us because he brought out the order incorrectly. We changed it to have the ribs, brisket and sausage combo (it made more sense to get the combo instead of ordering the items individually) but he still brought out an additional ribs that we originally ordered when we were just gonna do steak and a side of ribs. I also ordered the cheeseburger Mac and cheese off the special Mac and cheese category menu for $12 thinking it would be larger than the $7 side menu. Nope. Was even more disappointed. Smallest cup of Mac and cheese for $12. It's the size of a small soup you get from a grocery store. I expected a little more of an entree size for $12, given it's just pasta for highway robbery. Now for the actual food taste part? This is where I was wrong about it being fresh for it taking so long. Since we had two orders of ribs I thought they'd be the same. No. The one on the tray was old and dry and too salty. While the one on the side was nice and tender. The brisket was dry and not fresh either. My brother ended up being sick all day the next day from the ribs since he ate the ones on the tray. Would definitely not recommend. The Instagram photos from foodies and bloggers proved to be a trap. This was truly a disappointing visit. In their defense, they did understand the ordering mistake and didn't charge us for the extra ribs. But still didn't do anything about the Mac and cheese portion size when I mentioned it. It really is disappointing for how much you pay for. It wasn't even that good to be worth it unfortunately.
The server racially profiled my party which killed the whole experience. The food was good and the BBQ SAUCE WAS GREAT. When it was time for the check she came with the check I put my card down instantly. The server then stated oh wait there is a. Error on your check. I was like okay, when she came back the gratuity was added. I was highly annoyed because I always over tip but she assumed because we was BLACK we wouldn’t. Then I still just put my card down, I didn’t even say anything. Why did this server offer an explanation nobody asked for, I added the large party gratuity since it’s 6 or more. I immediately called her out on her bullshit asking “can you count” as we was only a party of 5. Standing there playing dumb she said omg you’re right. Then I don’t know what she said. To the manager but he came over and asked “ I heard you wanted to remove the gratuity.” This felt like an attempt to make us look like the problem after the server was caught in the wrong. Despite being disrespected, I still left an additional $40 tip. The profiling, followed by dishonesty and victim-playing, was unacceptable. I will not be returning and hope this behavior is addressed so no one else experiences this.
I was really looking forward to trying Morgan’s Brooklyn BBQ for the first time, but unfortunately, my experience was frustrating and disappointing. I placed a simple order: 6 wings with a side of Old School Mac & Cheese. Instead of receiving what I ordered, I got two pieces of cornbread and no mac and cheese at all. This might seem like a small mistake, but for a first-time customer, it really leaves a bad impression. When you're paying for something specific — especially comfort food — it's frustrating to not get what you asked for. Attention to detail matters, and this kind of mix-up makes me hesitant to order again.
