So first of all their dinner rolls are baked in house and served fresh out of the oven. And they serve with them a sweet cinnamon whipped butter and keep serving it until your meal comes. It was even better than a fresh out of the oven Krispy Kreme. I would have been happy if my whole meal was the bread and sweet whipped cinnamon butter. But it isn’t called Texas Breadhouse. For the entrees they have all different sorts of meat cuts, and you can even have combo plates like a sirloin steak with fried shrimp or a filet and country fried chicken strips. You can have RIBS AND STEAK TOGETHER. Or a plate of pulled pork with TEXAS TOAST. And THEN you get to pick TWO sides out of many options. My baked potato had the works too as you can see from the photo. And it was some of the freshest corn I’ve ever had. I had a filet which of course was the bomb and my husband’s PORTER HOUSE (whatever that is) was good too and perfectly cooked. The whole meal for 2 adults and 1 child was $44 including tax. Im pretty sure it cost me just as much to just get a single filet up in Canada. My mouth is still exploding from the perfection that was the fresh bread and butter. I am on an endorphin high from this meal. My husband is telling me now its either him or the sweet cinnamon whipped butter.

Absolutely great! They get to know your name, and it makes you feel like home. If I can suggest a meal, I'd go for the Fort Worth Ribeye. Had mine cooked medium rare, and it came out perfectly. Also, eat all the bread. Two Year Later Update, the PRIME RIB is AWESOME!

I'm from McKinney, Tx and we were coming through Brownsville, when we decided to eat at Roadhouse! We have a few back home, but none of them can even compare to the service we received at this one tonight! First off, we (my husband and I) chose to sit at the bar Where we were greeted by waitresses Ana, Billie Jean(I think), and Stephanie! Their team work together was very impressive!. I also like that they shook our hands and introduced themselves And asked us our names as well! We ordered cheese fries as our appetizer, that came out so beautiful! They had extra and perfect cheese all over them! We are normally used to getting burnt ones, or some with hardly any cheese at all from the one back home. But we WERE SO HAPPY to see that this location wasn't so stingy with It! 2nd we ordered steak kabobs to share and the steak came out CORRECTLY the first time!! This is super hard to get right the first time because they are harder to cook since they're kabobs. These ladies really went above and beyond with their service tonight and after our long drive, we really appreciated the friendliness! They all deserve raises! I could actually tell that they loved their jobs! Ana even sacked up our to go boxes and included plastic forks and FRESH bread to go! Don't miss out on trying out this Texas Roadhouse!

The food and service were top notch. Due to the virus its sometimes a very ling wait to get in to eat. The staff were extremely nice and helpful. They allowed us to add people to our party so all of our co workers could join us. I would highly recommend eating here. Man from the friendly greeting to me heading out to make room for more customers, great great location. Ordered the cup of chili with onions and cheddar and that was terrific. Then came the 8oz New York strip medium rare(cooked to perfection) with mushrooms and jack cheese melted on top. Fries and mashed potato’s and white gravy. Words cannot describe how delicious the food was, how prompt the service was, and how much my expectations were blown out of the water. The manager came by and greeted and checked how everything was going, shout out to Yvonne. Great food and even better staff. Definitely will be back

One thing that we didn't liked was the cheese fries the texture of the cheese was like plastic and everytime you got one fry all the cheese was coming off with that fry.

Loved the filet medallions; very friendly staff; upbeat atmosphere; delicious food; beer, wine, margaritas, soft drinks, water; almost always very busy, but text notifications are extremely convenient; worth the wait; reasonably priced; hot fresh bread/rolls while your food is being prepared; contactless payment; parking can be tricky but be patient and you will be pleasantly surprised.

Before our son goes back to school, we decided to eat here, three of us did not wait at all, we were led straight to the seats closed to entrance. Ordered 3 plates and took 8 minutes to put on table. Reasonable prices and quick service, stayed one hour to complete this meal with left over in a box.

Its Texas Roadhouse, good food, great vibe and outstanding service. 20oz bone in ribeye is a go to with grilled onions and a grilled jalapeño, simply the best bang for your buck steak anywhere, Alexander steakhouse has nothing on TX Roadhouse. The expected wait time went longer than we were told but once we got seated, they were so fast with the food and drinks. They totally made up for it. Our server Jacob, was fantastic. I may have been to a roadhouse when I was in my teens, I'm almost 40 now, but this was my first time that I can truly say I've been inside. I have ordered door dash before but that's a different experience. I highly suggest going in to sit and enjoy your meal. I first went to Chili's, I walked out due to lack of service and unable to get my drink order correct. Came here, I guess I had the look of confused cause they knew immediately I hadn't been there before 😅 They gave me a thank you gift. So glad I came, very friendly service. Very attentive service, my drink never got under half! The food was amazing! Five stars 🌟 and I never give out 5!

What can i say about roadhouse best restaurant in Brownsville always pack. You know that you will take a while to sit down. All the food menu its really good i can say that i have try all the menu and everything its really good. My only bad comment it will be on the restrooms. Boys restrooms are really bad no cleaning, water or pee all over the floor slippery floors and i don’t see someone taking care of. Thats every time you go to roadhouse always the same. Even smells bad.

What can I say, we love this place. I had the steak kabobs and they were perfectly cooked. I especially love the tangy steak sauce on my grilled veggies too. I decided to splurge and I ate two rolls! My son and his beautiful girlfriend shared the 20oz steak loaded with mushrooms and onions. Daniel was an excellent server and very easy on the eyes. Who needs dessert! 😁

Great place to have dinner in Brownsville. The restaurant has always a nice atmosphere full of people, sports bar, tv with games on, staff is very friendly. Food is quite good, the meat has good flavors, relation prices quality is acceptable. Shrimp were a little bit short but good. Not too many options in Brownsville but this place is over the top. We didn’t dare to try the desserts as the menu has the calories next to the price… is better ask for desserts without seeing at the menu!! We will return for sure…

Food was good. The wait took forever. They got the reservation name wrong, completely wrong, so they were calling the wrong name (I heard the wrong name called several times) after about 20 or more minutes of waiting extra, I asked, and she couldn't find the reservation this time, only to realize that the name was wrong and they gave our table away. So had to wait another 15 minutes. But afterwards, the waiter (Chris) was very nice and kept my drink filled before I even asked. The food came out fairly quickly for how busy they were. Will be back in the future.

We visit atleast 2-3x per month. Today decided to try out the Country Fried Chicken. Great portion, lightly breaded and tasty peppered country gravy. Plenty of fresh baked bread and waitress was quick to get us our drinks. No appetizer today so we ordered our meals. Sides came in quick and were good. Main course not to far behind. Dont get me wrong… Texas Roadhouse is the TOP of the line, steak Reasturant, and has the BEST food quality and taste but the curbside service isnt the best. I ordered specific items and only got 3/5 items correct. But dont stop that from eating there, I just perfer eating at the actual reasturant.

Always a delight to have dinner in one of their branches. Customer service was good and their cut of meat is above average. Problem is that since this branch is one of the more popular ones in the area, it does get crowded quite early so either go just as a couple or very early so you don't have to wait too long.

We always enjoy their food and a cold beer while we wait. However, thinking a Monday would be less-crowded was a disappointment! Actually, we should have gone earlier as they have a special in the afternoon (until pm). There are no reservations, hence one has to wait for a text outside. We arrived at 7 pm and we’re inside in less than 5 min.. Unfortunately, But there were a few problems with our visit. The place was packed to the gills! Social distancing was ignored and 98 of the patrons were maskless! Looking around and feeling very insecure-We decided to take our meal home while enjoying an ice cold Shiner. We should have checked our bag because when we got home the our Apple pie was missing!

Well, I came in and looked awesome deceiving. Don't let the presentation fool you. At first, it was too bloody, and then they Took back to hard and dry o gave up. Yet $21.00 for this small 8oz. Was NOT WORTH THE MONEY. They did everything in such a hurry that when they came back, my shrimp were cold, so I could not enjoy a well cooked hot meal. I was just disappointed that I left it behind and was not even going to bother. But I won't order it again. I was pretty impressed with the pull pork, not to shabby. Nor to dry yet moist enough and well served and got full. Not to mention, I requested that the cooked Jalapenos add that extra taste. I'm not a fan of the sauce they give you, so I ate it mixed in my baked potato and was very good. My sides were the baked potato normal butter and sour cream and corn. I will order this once again when I go back. Thank you, Texas Roadhouse, or should I say the cook!.

Texas Roadhouse has been a favorite for years, but my last two visits, the staff didn't wait the table in timely way. Though many staff are wandering and standing near their station, they clearly avoid any eye contact with guests. In the first case, it was 10 min before anyone came to take my order, and then today, the start was good but wait staff never returned toward the end of the meal. I intended to get a to go box but after waiting. And waiting.. about 5 extra minutes after paying at the table top kiosk.. We finally just left. I'm getting less inclined to go there

We were a party of 4 on 2/12/25. Although our waiter was friendly not once did he or the Team Lead/managers bother to stop by and ask how we were doing. Our Ribeye steaks were severely under cooked or over cooked. The waitress that brought our food did not bother to ask if we needed anything else, just dropped off the food and left. I saw 3 different managers ask other guests in our surrounding area how the service was. At one point one even spoke into her earpiece to advise a compliment was given. After a long wait our waiter brought 2 refill drinks and didn't even acknowledge us and left to another table. I finally flagged down 2 different staff to bring to go boxes as we just wanted to leave at that point. There was plenty of staff on duty so I can't say they were short staffed. Shame I used to enjoy coming here. I'll instead take my business to longhorn or outback.

This restaurant has a very relaxing, welcoming atmosphere and a cheerful, courteous staff. Today, my wife and I had an early dinner and agreed we probably will not be returning for a while. This is our third visit to this location in the past few years and the overall dinning experience has not changed. We were seated immediately upon arrival; however, the booth we were seated at was not completely ready (somewhat not completely clean). The food is ok, but not great. I ordered the ribs and they were dried and a bit crispy. The best part of the meal continues to be the bread accompanied by the delicious butter. One safety item of concern, was that one of the exit routes was partially blocked by chairs and a table extension for much of the time we visited the restaurant. I observed how several restaurant patrons had to negotiate exiting the dinning area, as if navigating a military obstacle course. This restaurant is ok, it is a lively place, but does not serve exceptional food.

Don't order the Porterhouse steak... too tough. I traded in for a filet minion instead.!! There were very nice about it.

Food was ok. Was cold, had to wait over an hour for our food due to waiter taking first every tables order and then submitting them into the system. Kitchen did awesome considering the waiter putting more strain on the kitchen during a busy time. Think it’s best practice to put in the order as soon as the customer orders to avoid waiting too long.

No stars, ramiro manager very bad attitude, after I Went today and made a curbised pickup on a loaded sweet patatoe, it was missing caramel and marshmellows, the sadness to get home to eat and ingredients missing its very disapointing, instead of making it up because they messed up, manager didnt believed me. I requested supervisor to contact me, thanks. Also he only refunded 1.29,he is missing to refund me taxes on those 1.29 he states they dont charge taxes on that. Very bad customer service. Plss supervisor contact me.

I won't come back. Every time we have either dined in twice or ordered online again twice its been garbage. First online I did for pickup at 9 schedule ahead. Did not arrive until 930. Five cars were handed their food before I was given mine. We were given at that time to coupons at which I called in advance to ask how to use them the manager told me I just present them to the to go people. May of course did not compensate the entire order it was only for the entree so I still had to pay for the appetizers on top of it they set a limit to this coupon after having to wait past my time and getting crappy food.

Make sure you inspect your food before consuming. The grilled chicken in my salad was not cooked properly.

My family and I will NEVER patron Texas Roadhouse again. 1 1/2 hours for a curbside order. Had to call this location a total of 11 times. My order was still incomplete. On top of everything parking is ridiculous and I couldn’t even park in a curbside parking space. THIS IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST RESTAURANT EXPERIENCE I’VE EVER HAD!

I'm changing my review. Ever since Covid, we now just pickup roadhouse to eat at home. Other than the parking lot challenge, so far the food keeps us coming back for more. Today, however was different. We ordered 3 sirloin steaks, 2 med well and 1 medium. Once we got home and opened the package, our steaks were all too well done. Burnt parts on the outside...I took pictures and posted them here. My husband worked late shift so we didn't have time to return so we unhappily ate our steaks. Do the packers not check the food? Do the cooks not check the order and just burn steaks? I mean this was ridiculous...

I went here to celebrate dad's birthday and had 3 military coupons that were given to us unused from the texas roadhouse staff there from Fort Bliss in El Paso because my dad is prior military and I am in the army. We ordered the 3 free meals from the coupons and when it came for time to pay, a worker tells us the coupons have been used already. To my understanding, once coupons are used, texas roadhouse staff keeps coupons. The worker didn't even offer us a huge discount or took meals off our check and ended up paying for more. This was the worst experience in my life in terms of service. Why didn't you check beforehand if coupons work? And why would texas roadhouse give us not valid coupons? The expiration dates were May 2026.

I am so disappointed that the Texas Roadhouse in Brownsville served me my food in terrible condition on two occasions in the same month. Raw salmon that hasn't been properly chilled is a health hazard.

I am extremely disappointed with the service we received at Texas Roadhouse today, particularly from the manager Erick. One person in our party ordered a 6-ounce sirloin, and Eric himself brought it out. Later, a different server realized it was the wrong steak(meant for another table next to us), even though the our friend had already started eating. When the correct meal finally arrived, Erick returned and took the plate back to another table, without informing them that it had been touched. This was not only unprofessional, but it was entirely unsanitary. We expected better accountability from a manager. I hope this is taken seriously, as it left us with a very poor experience.

Been to a few texas roadhouses, but yet the all seem to have a problem. A steakhouse, that is known for steaks, can't seem to cook or is incapable of cooking a steak to a medium rare temperature. I find this extremely irritating and disappointing. I sit down at these restaurants with friends family and/or coworkers and find myself ordering what I think is probably the most common steak temperature, and yet the past few visits my steak comes out purple. The initial one and after it being sent back once still came back purple. The other time ordered medium rare again in a prime rib and they over cooked it. I was also informed that was their last prime rib and they over cooked it. Manager apologized, but could care less, then my server then informs me that the prime rib is precooked and they don't come in medium rare. I find this hard to believe because they ask and also put in their menu ways the steaks and prime rib could be prepared. I informed her she should tell the CEO that you can't get a medium rare prime rib. Im sure Mr. Gerald L. Morgan would love to hear that you cant get a medium rare prime rib at his steak houses. Then the manager issues a voucher for a $30 meal for 2, as she clearly shows no care just doing the gestures. Shortly after my check comes for my drink, my server had the audacity to give me a bill for my drink for a meal that I didnt even get to eat, because my coworkers(8 of them) were already done eating by the time service returned to take care of my issue, they took back my prime rib and had no others to make for me, offered me another option only after coming back on the 3rd time near the end of everyones elses meal. Twice this has happened in the Brownsville Texas location and many times in the Sandusky Ohio location. Something needs to change, a Texas Roadhouse in brownsville TEXAS ! can't cook a steak right then there has to be a problem and it needs address immediately.

I ordered a Ribeye steak and it wasn't cooked well. It was dry and had no flavor. The steak fries were also dry. No seasoning, no flavor. This used to one of the best steak houses in Brownsville, but now it sucks!

We have been to several texas roadhouse but this place wasn't what other places have given in terms of food and service. We ordered rib but it came so dry and not even good presentable in the plate. We asked for a second refill but never received it. Our server didn't bother to check on us and see if we need anything more and when we pay and about to leave they showed up and tell us they had other table to taking care of. I think the place needs to be managed well and spend more time checking quality of the food and edu their servers now to being more approachable to the customers.
