Amazing service with Tara. She was so friendly and fast on giving us our order. I believe we waited 10 minutes after ordering, even with a full house. Food was also very good. To start off we had an New English clam chowder soup. Then we had in order of crab cakes and an order of coconut shrimp with fries. Soooo good.

We had the fish & chips, salmon ... Food was great. Our server Lisa tended to our every needs. Thank you!

I was in town visiting my parents and wanted to have one last drink and goodbye to Buffalo and thought it would be great to do on the water and see the sunset. The wings are DELICIOUS and even though the staff was slammed, our server was so polite and efficient with her time. When it started raining, the staff rushed to get us inside or under the tent. They even went the extra mile to apologize for the weather (that they could not control) and gave us a round of drinks on the house. It was a wonderful sendoff from Buffalo and its great people and community. AND we got to see the sunset after the shower! I will always make a point to come back and support this business and have told many others to do the same. Thank you guys!

Amazing joint on the water you could bike, walk, ride, sail, jet ski or drive right up to the place. Indoor and outdoor seating with 2 full service bars. They have live music playing on the patio. The food is excellent when you're looking for a lite meal to pair with a glass of wine or a burger and a beer.

We went on a Saturday afternoon abd had a live music session going on. The service was friendly and quick. The small salads fresh, tasty and big enough with a cup of delicious New England Chowder. The view on the lake is always a good entertainment by itself.

Attended a private event upstairs and had a truly wonderful time. The service was top notch from the bartender who assisted us as we entered to the bartender and waitress upstairs. The decor is very nice, clean, and stylish. The music was perfect for our crowd. Drink selection was excellent and they had great NA beer to offer. Best of all the food was phenomenal! Their shrimp was so tender, it was axing Crab cakes and caprese salad kabobs were super yummy. Excellent experience.

Food there was awesome! I was craving some crab cakes for the last couple of days, and this place definitely did not didn't disappoint!! Had a beautiful view on the back deck. And our waitress Tara was amazing she was so kind! Place was very busy, and she was able to keep her cool! From your hostess to Tara the staff was all smiles. We'll definitely be back again! And hopefully Tara can help us again!

Great place to sit by the water and enjoy the outdoor bar. Usually places like this don't need to have great food because of the location. Well, get ready to order the tacos and have your mind blown away. Also, they have High Noons and margaritas so its a win win for everyone =D

We found this place while driving from Erie, PA to Niagara Falls, NY. The staff was super friendly! The view of all the boats and the open air seating creates an amazing atmosphere. The food was delicious! Portion sizes were large but not oversized, and prices were very reasonable. Service was spot on Mary took great care of us checking in often and refilling drinks before being asked! Food was prepared super fast and was hot and fresh! We will definitely be coming back on the next trip through!

Stopped in for a late lunch (2 o'clock) on a sunny Saturday during Labor Day weekend. Was able to be seated right away. Our server Danielle was very friendly and attentive. The wife and I both had the Taco Trio with drinks. Our order came out quickly, tasted good and the atmosphere was so relaxing.

Took a group and had to wait. Tried to make best of it, but played musical tables. All food orders were messed up, so was missing food and got food we didnt order. The food we got was good. Not a draw to come back. Its a one time try.

Bar had a lot of choices and attentive staff. Dining area was quaint. Live band playing was good, loud but you could still have conversation. Appetizers were very good! Wings, crab cakes and spinach artichoke dip were wonderful. Food was excellent and portions were generous. Prices were in line with the quality and portions. 2 minor complaints -they toasted the rolls for my sons hotdog and hamburger and they didn't like it. I couldn't fight the kids, I don't know many who do like their rolls toasted. Wait staff should be trained to ask especially for children. -the restaurant doesn't have air conditioning and it can get hot in there! Breeze off the lake usually keeps it cool but some nights can be sticky!

First time at Charlie’s Boat Yard. Loved the opened windows and doors with a gentle breeze coming through from Lake Erie. A taste of Buffalo food on the menu and some other tasty dishes. Only one suggestion scrap the iced tea.

I am going to start out by saying I am handicapped ~ which I don’t like telling people because I try not to show it! I parked in handicap, and this was first time stopping in, walked to back bar(from side) ordered a glass of wine & asked for a menu. Bartender told me you can look at it, but needed to sit in designated section to order. Did so, no one took my order, waitress passed me, and this wasn’t very busy 1 table outside being served, I said excuse me! Nothing! Then I have another waitress go flying bye, Not again, excuse me can I order?? Oh, she said, I will tell the hostess! Hostess comes out, and shows me sign on table that says ~Hostess order ~ I said, 1st time here, I talked to you’re bartender, he told me what to do, did he leave something out? Bar only had one couple sitting. Then I explained how I came in, she was with attitude the whole time, and said, that’s not Our front door! That’s when I told her, where I parked, that I am handicapped and I can’t walk a lot of extra steps due to my Muscle condition! So, I would not have been going to get her, I really think they need better communication in their outside so patrons can sit or close off section you don’t want them using if it confuses the process. I ordered, never receiving napkins! When I caught a waitress going by~ she took a box that held brown squares in it! I thought you have got to be kidding! Then food came out, looked delicious, steak knife on plate, no silverware ? So, I asked my real waitress that was her table, who brought out plate, can I please get a fork! She, looked and actually brought me a real white napkin~ that’s what I was looking for!!! And utensils! So, the rest of my experience was great! Food was really delicious and the Fries where perfect! I usually put salt on everything ~ not this time 👏 Music 🎶 was great, playing Classic rock, and it was a beautiful day by the water❣️ A little pricey, but well worth it!!!

Disappointed because we ubered far we expressed our frustration to the bartender Jackie who saved the day. She allowed us to put food in that the kitchen can still make and was super friendly. Hostess suck but Jackie and food were amazing!

We had a pleasurable dining experience at Charlie's Boat Yard. Especially during the summer, we like to seek out locations with you outdoor seating. But Charlie's had the bonus of being on the water too! We had a short wait for a table, but just had a drink at the outdoor bar, until one became available. We had a party of eight and they were able to accommodate us at a table that was sized perfectly. Once seated, our server was there promptly. They had a nice selection on the menu. I personally enjoyed the meatball bomber, which was open face and toasted. Others in our party opted for seafood fare, such is the crab cakes and mussels, both of which were reported to be above average. It's a great little spot and someplace we will definitely keep on our radar to visit again in the future.

The food was pretty good! My steak was a little overcooked but still tasty. My aides were delicious! My wife liked her sandwich but it was a little greasy. The service was top notch! Ask for Merissa as your server. The atmosphere is incredible. Right on the lake with a great view, nice breeze, and had some good music playing.

For one, the view is fantastic. Didn’t mind the wait, as the outdoor bar wasn’t too busy & the mojito I ordered was exceptional (the one I ordered with dinner was just mediocre, but outside was fantastic). My only critique was the food! I ordered the meatball and it was not done inside. It was all mush. I’m not sure if it was a filling or what (because the meat was properly browned and warm), but it was very mushy and watery. The tuna tacos were fine, but I didn’t love the flavors - that’s my personal preference, though. I’d go back, but I’d stay away from the meatball! It was really odd…should’ve stuck with something foolproof like chicken fingers…

Go for the views, not the food. Great location, food was really average. I ate lunch at the bar and the service was below average. They got my order wrong, never got me a drink refill, and took 10 minutes just to get a to-go box.

Love the food, atmosphere and our server Tara was awesome! But the hostess really is what turned off my Fiancé and I from the place. Last Friday we went for lunch after signing our marriage license so happy and excited to enjoy lunch and a drink by the water... We finish eating and get our second drink when the hostess comes over and tells us we can drink just not there, they have a wait for dinner...mind you it was 330pm not dinnertime. The waitress hadn't even picked up the receipt yet. My fiancé made the comment he had seen this done to the people behind us as well. All while the dining room was empty! I was paying customer and this really put a damper on our experience.

Last Friday, three of us went to lunch at around one pm. The wait was about a half and hour, the waitress at the bar was friendly and efficient. They got us and took us to our table. Waitress was very competent, food excellent. Well today ten of us went at a little after one, had to wait over 45 minutes for two tables to be pushed together. I had to sit at an angle at the corner. It was brutally hot inside, no air circulation. Loud noise. They place should install ceiling fans. And the lobster rolls were dry and bland, rolls should have been toasted the food today was not very good. The waitress was wonderful though. It will be quite awhile before I return.....

I do not recommend the chicken fingers. They are processed chicken like a large chicken nugget.The fish sandwich was delicious and large in size. Waitress was very pleasant.

Our initial wait time for a table was 30 min, which turned out to be an hour. Then, as we were seated on the patio, there were 4 empty tables. I ordered the Ceasars salad. They use Shake cheese rather than real parmesan cheese, and the croutons were tiny. There was so much shake cheese and croutons it made it almost gross. The chicken sandwich and shrimp roll my family ordered were good. We do stop by for ice cream sometimes, and it's good.

The atmosphere and drinks were good! Unfortunately I was disappointed in the shrimp tacos. They were smothered in black beans (which the menu didn’t mention them having) and by the time I picked them all off and got to the bottom there was only 2 shrimp per taco. So I was left with a shell and 2 pieces of shrimp:(

Had the sea scallops special w angle hair in a cream, lemon & wine sauce. It was $30 for 4 small scallops. The sauce was good once seasoned but too thin to cling to the pasta. Needed salt, pepper and scallops to make this dish worth the $$$.

Visited Charlie’s before a concert recently. The restaurant is located in the marina and the atmosphere is perfect. Although there were several available staff and they were not busy we waited roughly 10 minutes to be seated outside. The waitress was there shortly and she was very friendly and helped with our drink and menu questions. We ended up just ordering wings and fries. We asked for and were told the wings were saucy. Although a good size, the wings were dry, not saucy, and slightly over cooked. The fries, we ordered a $9 bowl, were extremely bland. We weren’t happy with the food at all. In summery, the wait staff was friendly and helpful, the drinks were good and the atmosphere is awesome, but the food was pricey and sub par. We walked away with a large $100+ bill and not happy.

Went on a beautiful day and was told to seat ourselves. We went out to the patio waited 20 mins and no server so we sat at the patio bar as we were hungry and thought we would get better service . The bartender was clearly new. She allowed us to eat there but who ever was training yelled at her that this was not allowed then approached stating next time we would not be able to eat at the bar. Food was good for the most part, nachos could’ve been better. Great view, just need better workers.

Honestly, I wasn't thrilled about this place and was definitely disappointed. The place, although busy, has a somewhat sterile feeling to it. We sat inside, and perhaps the outside seating would have been nicer. I just had a salad and it was good, but on the small side if you would compare it to what you'd get at another restaurant, especially for the price. Next time I'm in the area, I'd go elsewhere.

Truly sad to see such a beautiful restaurant have such bland food. It is so beautiful and the service is great but the food lacks any flavor. Bring seasonings from home if you plan on having a meal here. The Mac salad was literally noodles onions and water. (It was weird how watery it was) The cole slaw was literally slaw and water. No mayo, vinegar, seasonings etc. Once again, an abnormal amount of water for food. The fish sandwich was fresh and decent but lacked any seasoning whatsoever. The tartar sauce was decent which made up for it. This is now my third time here and I keep trying to give it the benefit of the doubt but that was my last time going there. The

Terrible! Our service was below average. The food was over cooked and then served cold. The fish fry was as flat as my steak. No call back from the waitress to get things corrected. She was too busy chatting with customers at the service bar. Didnt ask if we wanted dessert. Came back with the bill as we sat with dirty dishes infront of us. So very disappointed!

Food was ice cold. Was told everything was made to order so I asked for an item to be left off my sandwich and it was loaded with the one thing I can’t eat. Server was great and took meal off the bill, but I’ll never eat here again. The view and outside bar area are nice to grab a drink prior to going to eat anywhere else but here.

The food was good but not for 40$ for two burgers and fries, no drinks. Also messed up our order, and did not tell us it came with macaroni salad, That was touching our burgers. I hate to leave this review but I’m very disappointed. Service was fast and friendly however.

Nice location but don't go expecting to be excited about the food. Within our order, we had $16 frozen fried coconut shrimp with jar sauce & a Caesar salad with more boxed croutons and bagged shredded cheese than I've ever seen served. It was almost enough to ask if it was a joke. The chicken fingers were underwhelming and macaroni salad looked like it was out of a container from a store. I can't say anything good about the food we had at our table. And that table...they could have cleaned it better before seating us. It had water rings on it and food underneath it. I was here for a party before and while the atmosphere was nice the food was bad then too and there's really nothing that separates them from any other below average restaurant besides the location.

Two stars is a gift. My husband and I went for a late lunch. He ordered a fish sandwich and I ordered the fish fry dinner because I was really hungry. Our plates were exactly the same (room temperature macaroni salad, room temperature cole slaw, and fries) except for the fish. His sandwich had a thick piece of fish, lettuce, and tomato on a big roll. I received a skinny piece of fish and was charged four dollars more! We asked the waitress what could be done, for example, just charge me for the sandwich. She agreed that the plates looked pretty much the same. Walking away she half heartedly said she would see what she could do. When the bill came and there wasn't an adjustment to the bill, my husband went to speak to the manager. The manager said there was nothing he could do but he'd talk to the owner, who was not on site. My husband said that doesn't make you much of a manager if you are not given the authority to do anything about it. The manager turned away, said ""Then maybe this place isn't for you, and WALKED AWAY. So, the restaurant got to keep the extra charge, with the result of creating dissatisfied customers who will share this experience with others, and never return to this establishment. I would recommend going somewhere else on the waterfront in Buffalo for better food and service.

The waiter was rude to my wife, who stated she could not sit outside? Because they didn't have waiters for that area? Had to sit by the bar and wait for beverages over 20min. Food was good. Just disappointed we couldn't sit on deck. The whole reason why we wanted to go.

Poor service. Discriminative against Asian customers. Came in, sat down and waited there for over ten minutes, no server came. Went to bar for a menu, got totally ignored. Left right away and will never come here again.

If I could give a half a star I would. The food was the worst I have ever had in Buffalo. Brought out of town guests because it was on the lake. The Mahi Mahi was sub par as it was not fresh at all. The waitress told us it was fresh and when it was left on the plate with the terrible sides she never asked if we were satisfied with our meals. Dah! If it wasn’t eaten we clearly were not. The only thing good is the view and the alcohol. I would not recommend at all.

Way over priced, the food was not that good at all. The hostess had an attitude. The waitress was terrible, the first time ever my daughter didn't tip someone. She worked in the restaurant business, so she always tips good. She wasn't half way through her meal and they were trying to rush us out. They do state on their menu that you have 75 minutes to eat and get out, but we were about 20 minutes into our meal. There was other people sitting there before we came in and I didn't see their waitress rushing them. Even though she(Danielle) was wearing a mash, we could see the attitude and snobiness in her eyes and hear it in her voice. Not that clean either. They just walked by stuff laying on the floor. On a positive note, they have an out door patio with a nice view. Wouldn't recommend this place to eat though. They do have a bar if you like to drink alcohol.

Edit: LGBT patrons, be wary. I've had time to think about this. It's frustrating to get kicked out of the bathroom for fixing my makeup. This is normal for women to do in a bathroom. They only had issues because I was Trans. Fried Calamari was good, but after I used the bathroom I was fixing my makeup. Some elderly people complained about me and their manager forced me out of the bathroom. I'm Trans, and it was pretty clear they only had issues with me for that reason. She kept saying "they're elderly" as if I don't also have a right to use the restroom.

Charlie's was extremely disappointing. The hostess and the servers had a very smug demeanor. I'm not a 100% sure what they were doing to the food but a fish fry and a well done burger were out in less than 10 minutes. Which normally would be a great amount of time but as a previous cook I know neither of these things are done in 10 minutes. The food was nothing special, very bland. And what really bugged me to top it all off we were there maybe 30 minutes, I had more than half my food on my plate and my server had the nerve to ask me if I was done " picking". Also my daughter's fish was more batter than fish. I would not recommend this place to anyone, if I could give it less than one star I most certainly would. Also if your looking for diversity among the staff or the patrons for that manner you will not find it at this place. Don't waste your money or time.

Way OVERPRICED for the food they give you! My daughter ordered a steak sandwich and when it arrived to the table what she had to eat was basically a sub roll. I made the waitress aware that I was not expecting to pay $16 for a sandwich that had 5 little pieces of cubed meat on it. The waitress told me they portion the meat out and if I wanted extra I'd have to pay for it. Too many other restaurants that are reasonably priced with good quality and quantity of food. 1st and last time patronizing this place.

Changing my review... Hours are listed as open till 11. Not true. This is a restaurant, to which we came for food. Kitchen closes at 9, meaning this palace closes at 9.

Told us about a 30 min so expected to wait a little longer then that, so waited an hr and half and then told us well even when our table is ready kitchen is backed up an hr and a half. Bit was not told that until we've been ch3cking in for the 3rd time.

Kicked us out when I still had fries on my plate. They said we need to turn over the table. We walked around and no one took our table. My spouse thought the drinks were pricey.

Went on a Monday and it was a beautiful view. The Server was friendly, asked for broiled fish but sold out. Ordered the salmon, the rice was so dry it was hard to tell how old it was. The broccoli was either not cooked or still frozen, safe to say we weren’t sure how the salmon would be. We are not picky people but if you are charging $25.00 for an entree please make the food quality somehow reflect that price. Sorry about that.

The place was way too much overpriced. We were 11 people and they served us water in plastic cups. My husband ordered fish and they served burned fish and some sides. When we asked them to replace the fish the server asked us to put the sides on a different plate and then served us uncooked fish. The whole bill was $241. There was no apology or anything. I know I was rude for not leaving so much tip but I still left her $10.

Small menu . Over charged and only poured 3/4 of a pastic cup of my $8 Blue Moon draft. I asked if I could keep my glass for beer on patio instead of getting plastic and bartender said glass is not allowed on patio as he handed me 2 glass bottles of beer that I ordered for friends. I told him the plastic cups are too light and blow over in the wind and he said drink faster. I felt like throwing my 3/4 cup of draft in his face.

Fish fry tasted like store bought fish fillet (Gordon’s), fries were cold, and mushy, pop was flat. Server seemed to have an attitude after she brought wrong beverages to the table. Great view, unfortunately we will not be returning.

Definitely won't come back and will be sure to send friends and family elsewhere. Rude service, terrible food quality. You can't make grilled food and then tell patrons it's "supposed" to be served cold like that lol. Would have rather ordered from a hot dog stand and brought it down to our boats

Extremely rude staff. 8 pm on a Wednesday tried to eat at the restaurant. Hostess told us they weren’t taking anymore on the waitlist but that we could order at the bar to go or take it outside. Bartender said they wouldn’t take anymore food orders extremely rudely. Went back to hostess and she just said doesn’t seem like they’re taking orders and didn’t do anything - mind you the restaurant was not packed at all.

Called ahead and was told there was no wait to sit inside. Arrived shortly after I called and was told it would be a 20 minute wait. Waited close to an hour while other patrons were being seated. Spoke to the hostess about this and she said a couple minutes while they get the table ready. Ten minutes later she tells my party that she doesn't know when our table will be ready but she suggested we go get ice cream while we wait. Who wants to eat ice cream before dinner. We decided to leave and take our business elsewhere. Would not recommend this restaurant.
