Decided to try out this spot for my Hubbys Birthday Dinner because of the reviews we read on yelp and google. We had to go by the reviews because we're from Jersey and we had no idea where to go to eat, there were so many options. From the Appetizers ... to the Drinks ... to the Main Course (we the salmon dinner) even their pricing .. and their music playlist ..... just everything everything everything was absolutely Superb, including our wonderful server Crystal. This was hands down, THEEE BEST SALMON dinner we've ever had at any restaurant we have dined at EVER. PERIODT. My mouth is watering just reliving through my pictures! Their menu to be honest, had us thinking twice because they didn't have plenty of options. However, everything we consumed outweighed that little detail. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the buffalo area. You will leave happy, full and completely satisfied. Guaranteed.

This place is a cute little nugget for a great meal or bar to grab a drink. They do have a kid's menu so you can bring em. We ordered the fish and shrimp and it was AMAZING! Be sure you ask for cornmeal if you don't want beer battered!! The owner was so sweet and came to check on us.

The Rose is located in downtown Buffalo not far from Helium Comedy Club and The Buffalo Creek Casino. There is a small parking lot and off street spaces in front of the building. The space is large with plenty of tables and 2 bars. Staff is professional and friendly food service is always great. The owners are always walking around checking on customers which I love ! Give them a try for lunch brunch or dinner.

Went with a group and was not disappointed. I had the Rose Burger and a beer and it was tasty! The service was friendly and prompt considering my party size. Got a chance to meet the owners after the meal and that were so pleasant to connect with. Nice ambiance and design layout.

Knowing downtown would be busy with events on a beautiful summer Saturday Buffalo afternoon, we knew finding a spot to eat without a long wait in advance of the Bandits Championship game could be a problem. We looked for locations within walking distance to the arena and remembered seeing the Rose Bar & Grill when we were leaving Hofbrauhaus a few months ago (across the street). We did a google search and saw favorable reviews, so we decided to check it out. It is located inside of the old Fairmount Creamery building. The lobby area is pretty cool with some pictures and history about the building. Once we steeping inside the Rose Bar & Grill we received a warm welcome from the bartender and shortly thereafter by our waitress who gave us options for high or low tables. Some R&B played in the background and the place had a chill vibe. There was a decent selection of food and drink options. The beverages especially were priced competitively, with some domestic beers at only $4. We got the chicken fingers which are similar to most in the area. They did come with crinkle cut fries which I am not normally a big fan of, but these were better than most and were crispy with good flavor. Our server was really friendly While we were there it never got too busy and I would say with a few tweaks this could be a gem, especially given the location (even more so if there are long lines at adjacent restaurants). The indoor space has potential and could see it being busier. There is an adjacent patio space that would be cool if it were utilized for outdoor seating (not sure if it's the restaurants space though).

Got the ribeye steak and it was 1/4 inch thick for $33...thats embarrassing...was worth about 15 dollars just because they cooked it right...my girl got the salmon salad with generous portions but salmon was dry and tough as if it was frozen

Went with my wife and 2 relatives on a Saturday when it was almost empty inside. The first thing the sever told us was that our order needed to be only one check and anything over $50 would require a mandatory 18% gratuity. We all got up and left. I always tip at least 20% being a server and bartender myself, but this was so completely off-putting that I will never, ever spend a dime at this place. I will recommend to everyone I know to do the same. Completely horrible business model. See you never.

Possibly the WORST level of service I e ever experienced. We arrived to the restaurant at 5:50 pm. Upon arrival we mentioned that we needed to be at the KeyBank Arena for a show by 7:30. We ordered shortly after 6 pm and some late comers in our group arrived at 6:45. They asked what is the quickest dish they could get. Well, they ALL received their meals and we finally had our last meal brought to us at 7:20PM. I informed them that at this point we needed to have take out boxes and pay right away. I was appreciative to see that they discounted the ticket by 10% but hit us with an automatic 18% gratuity. I paid for my meal and a portion of the gratuity (which I didn’t even want to do) and left as we were late for the show by this time. Well, they detained my friends and made them pay the outstanding 10$ tip before they would let them go. Absolutely ridiculous!!! A gratuity is NOT an entitlement. We paid for 2 meals that we had to put in the vehicle and eat after 11 PM when it was stone cold. I will never be back again and hope management sees this and realizes what a ridiculous decision they have made by charging a mandatory gratuity for absolutely terrible service. Matt Townsend.
