Food here is amazing.... Fresh and favorable. I ate my order and was going to place another order. Then I realized I was broke. Truly worth the detour.

Had beef fajitas. They were great. Very tender. Charro beans were very good. Rice was good too. Sopapillas with ice cream. Yum! Overall great food and great service.

Great place. Definitely recommend if you are in the area looking for something other than fast food.

Amazingly tender beef fajita meat and succulent ribs that fall off the bone. The chicken was moist and juicy. Generous portions and sides to sate the pickiest palate. Creative menu including red snapper -- just excellent food, a clean place with easy decor, friendly staff, a popular place with the locals who know they have a good thing. Reasonable prices. A Diamond in the rough.

Reasonably priced. Nice portions. Good food. Mom and pop operation. This will be our meeting place for our relatives in the area. Being that this is a family run operation, I found the little guy quietly entertaining himself quite refreshing. I have never been bothered by children in restaurants. We will return.

Food is great every time. The 3 pork torta is superb. Al pastor, carnitas, and chorizo. Ask for it. Just wish they pressed them.

Plenty of space, tasty food, friendly staff. Nice little (family owned?) business. I got the sampler platter so I could try a bit of a bunch of stuff, and cleaned the whole plate!! Yum!!

Just spent 8 nights in Buffalo, and I had Cactus Grill Tex-Mex 4-5 times...and that wasn't enough. The grilled salmon is perfect, as is the refried beans, pico, chips, and salsa that come with it. The side of steamed veggies was a great mix as well. The girls hosting/serving/answering phones were wonderful too. I already miss the food!

The tortillas were awesome, the portions very generous, the sides (rice, beans, guacamole) all superb in their own right and the meats were fresh and full of authentic flavors. For dessert we had the flan, which transported me to my family home. Attentive and fast staff. I love tex-mex food and this is one of the best places to enjoy it. Don't miss it.

This down to Earth understated restaurant is a HIDDEN GEM in Buffalo, Tx (right in the middle between Dallas and Houston). The food was absolutely AMAZING!!! My first time here. I was really impressed with the service, atmosphere and of course the food and service. A lady named Amber, who works there was very efficient.

The service and the food were good. The salsa unique and the queso was stellar.

My friend got the Palenque Chicken, which had a great ranchero sauce and melted cheese that paired well with the rice and beans. We also enjoyed their chips and salsa, which were fresh and flavorful. Overall, the atmosphere was comfortable, and it’s a solid spot for a good Tex-Mex meal in Buffalo. We’ll definitely be back!

If you're passing through Buffalo or are local, Cactus is a solid TexMex choice. It's not the absolute best TexMex I've had but it's still very good with good service. Very reasonably priced too.

This is a better than average tex mex spot. The tortilla soup was ON POINT and the taco meat was really good. My husband enjoyed the guisada. We both liked the interesting murals on the wall. We both liked the hot sauce. We asked for an extra hot one and it was really good too.

This is our preferred Mexican food restaraunt in buffalo for good food. We usually get take out. They occasionally forget something like the salsa and chips that comes with the order so check before you leave

Stopped for dinner, the wife had cheese enchiladas I had a beef chimichanga. The chips were nice and hot and their green salsa was good and spicy. We had sopapillas for dessert.

The food was served quickly, it was hot, and had good flavor. The portion sizes were smaller than most other Mexican food restaurants. The waitress did a good job but was not friendly. The atmosphere was a cross between old cafe and sports bar.

Our 1st time there. Food was GREAT! Service was good. Only complaint! 7 year old boy hanging out in restaurant had a mouth like a sailor. I ask him does his mom allow him to talk like that. He said she doesn’t care. I’m not ok with that.

It was ok. There was a small kid kept running by our table and staring at us. That was a little uncomfortable. Guess it was one of the employees kids. Husband ordered a ribeye steak cooked medium. When he got it, it was raw and definitely not a ribeye. Sent it back for a refire. Got it back medium rare. It was tough and chewy. Beans and rice were bland. Flies were everywhere. I dont think i will be going back

This place has good food and good prices as long as you don’t mind fighting off four to five flies to enjoy your dinner.

I ordered ranchero nachos. They put American sliced cheese. Absolutely disgusting. Never had nachos like that served. I told the incompetent waitress that I can’t eat that. They still charged us for the nachos. Super gross. Awful service.

4.6 stars? Not sure how, the service was great but the food was absolutely horrible. Beans were flavorless, chicken in flautas was mushy and watery I'm assuming it was bagged. Street tacos thumbs down, enchilada steak meat tasted odd.
