Wokcano is a fantastic place to relax and enjoy really good sushi. I went there with a close friend who is a regular, and I immediately understood why they love it so much. The staff was friendly and professional, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. The atmosphere was lively yet comfortable, and the menu offered an impressive variety of sushi and drinks to choose from. It was an all around great experience, and I will definitely be coming back again.
Serving delicious fishes, a fusion of Cambodian and Chinese comfort foods. Budget Friendly! A hole in the wall, looks like a small house that they turned in to a restaurant. The dining area is small, probably just about 6 tables. All dishes/soups are home cooked. The server/owner was very friendly and welcoming. Must try the Phom Pehn Soup is very popular, as well as the Beef Lok Lal and Ginger Chicken. Highly Recommended. Budget Friendly.
Great food and great vibes at WakCanno Valencia. Everything we tried was fresh, flavorful, and really well made. The menu has solid options and the quality definitely stands out. Friendly service, chill atmosphere, and consistently good food. Definitely a spot I’d come back to
We got in late and this place on the corner was such a good find. They had a happy hour, so got some drinks (martini, old fashion and a beer) and appetizers (Edamame and vegetable spring rolls). Service was great. Our meals were sooo good. (Shrimp fried rice, California rolls, and magnolian beef.) Definitely recommend this place.
Wacano delivered a fantastic dining experience from start to finish. We kicked things off with the spicy edamame and spicy tuna roll, both of which were bursting with flavor. The edamame had just the right kick without being overwhelming, and the tuna roll was fresh and well-balanced, setting the tone for the meal perfectly. For the main course, we ordered a variety of dishes including orange chicken, young chow fried rice, broccoli beef, pad Thai, and sweet and sour pork. Each dish was impressive in both taste and presentation. The orange chicken was crispy with a tangy glaze, and the fried rice was loaded with perfectly cooked vegetables and meat. The broccoli beef was tender and savory, while the pad Thai had a rich, authentic flavor. The sweet and sour pork was a standout, with a perfect balance of sweetness and acidity. Overall, Wacano exceeded our expectations with their delicious food and wide variety of options. Everything we tried was cooked to perfection, and the flavors were bold and satisfying. It’s clear that attention to quality and detail is a top priority here. We’ll definitely be returning to explore more of the menu.
This is a chill spot to enjoy some delicious sushi. A close friend and I wanted to meet up and I had suggested sushi. They knew exactly where to go - Wokcano. They patron Wokcano regularly for happy hour and it was a no-brainer. I was impressed with the professional, courteous staff, the vibrant atmosphere, and the selection available on the menu of both drinks and sushi. I am looking forward to enjoying Wokcano again.
My mission in life is to bring this quality of food to Utah. You see Utahns think they know good food but they don't. They are deceived and lack exposure to real life. They will admantly defend mediocrity. I rail on such. Wokcano's (as I call it) definitely does NOT need my review for publicity: it is a well known, popular, and successful Zagat rated eatery. It survived Covid and everything else the economy has thrown at it...because awesomeness kind of does that. Just about everything is perfect here: atmosphere, cleanliness, high quality ingredients, recipes, diversity in the menu, service, and overall management. The service and friendliness of the staff has always been superb. Tonight I had 3 separate people check up on me and deliver service. And I was one dude: not a large table of people. So they weren't after a tip. It's just how they operate here...and I've been here a lot. I ordered the shrimp/white breast chicken meat Double Kung Pao and a double portion of their spicy seafood soup (minus the mussels). That's right: a double portion to make Daddy happy. Both of these dishes were again perfection as was the steamed white rice. You might ask "How would steamed white rice NOT be perfect?" The answer: go to Utah and you'll see a number of ways to screw it up. From the photos check out the quality of the ingredients: note the huge portions of white fish and whole cleaned shrimp in the soup. Have fun finding that in Utah: it doesn't exist. There you'll get a gelatin infused, slimy "egg drop" soup that seems it was made by a 7th grader in Home Ec that didn't get it right. Wokcan soups are amazing. Also the Double Kung Pao was destination worthy. This is the kind of food you will remember forever and seek it out...it doesn't matter if it's expensive...it's that good. Add in friendliness and prompt service and you have the perfect and memorable night out with family and friends. I have been here many times and I just wish I could open the eyes of restaurant morons of where in Utah so I didn't have to travel so far to achieve such Chinese food nirvana.
Wokcano food and drinks are amazing! We have been going to this restaurant for ever now, this is our favorite spot with my classmates to go to - especially before our tests and exams bc we can chill, enjoy really good food, and amazing drinks and relax right before the tests. Their staff has been super welcoming to us. They’re always there for you if you have questions or need to place another order and they’re always willing to answer all the questions you have about their menu items whether its food or drink related. I have never experienced any delays with the service or brining the food/drinks to us. Very happy with the their staff. What I love the most with them are the spicy tuna hand rolls, the Purple Caddy drink, the crab wontons AND OF COURSE their signature and most loved Love Boat. Its got so many delicious, colorful and mouthwatering options. I’m going back and taking my mom with me to this restaurant some time next week. Can’t wait to try other items off of their menu. Parking: there is a lot of street parking available around the restaurant and they also have a (free for 2 hours) pubic parking structure right in the back.
The Mongolian Beef are to die for, along with the Shanghai Lo Mein and Orange Chicken. We came here tonight for our triple date night and it was the best choice. The staff and waiter was so friendly to our party. There was only 1 waiter working the restaurant so you'll have to be understanding due to the situation. But our food came out pretty fast and everything was so amazing. We got the Spicy Garlic Soy Edamame, Mongolian Beef, Chicken Fried Rice, Shanghai Lo Mein with Chicken, Walnut Shrimp and Orange Chicken. You scan the QR code for the menu but it wouldn't work on my phone since it's running off Google Drive and I have a Samsung S20+. Yes, it did take a while for our check to come but I mean they only had 1 waiter working the whole restaurant so we just made the best out of the situation.. They don't take reservations here anymore and they have outside dining if you prefer that. They also have a note on the table about max duration on how long you can dine there but I asked our waiter and he said it wasn't highly enforce.
Wokcano in Burbank offers a great mix of Asian fusion dishes with solid flavor and presentation. The noodles were flavorful, and the hot dishes came out quickly and nicely plated. The atmosphere is trendy but still relaxed, making it a great spot for a casual quick business lunch. The staff was very friendly and attentive throughout our meal, which really made the experience even better. The only drawback is that parking can be a bit challenging in this area, especially during peak hours. Still, it’s worth the effort, I’ll definitely be back!
This was a great experience! We arrived late in town and chose to come her from the hotel. It had great vibes and great food! Staff was a little scarce but they were super busy. The food is prepared very elegantly and the presentation was incredible. They have tons of options for all aisan fusion lovers out there.
Chicken was under cooked so I sent it back. My second chicken dish I got as a replacement was also squeaky and undercooked! Jokes on me for ordering chicken twice lol! Sushi was amazing though
Good ambience, good service, but the quality of food was just average. A very typical menu for that kind of restaurant, although you could immediately notice that prices were a bit higher than those of similar restaurants in the area. The portions we received were bigger than competitor's in the are but...unfortunately, the quality was just average. Fish on top of rolls seemed not fresh. Not bad, just not fresh. Eel on the top of the roll (baked) was simply cold. The other dishes didn't impress either. I wouldn't return, honestly, although the service was excellent and I liked the ambience.
*Delayed post from Jan ‘25 Stopped here for a late night bite around 11pm since most restaurants are closed by then in Downtown Burbank. The decor gave me Cheesecake Factory vibes and the quality of food was about the same: consistently okay and satisfies everyone’s cravings with a large menu, but not a place I’d take someone to impress them. It’s slightly above mediocre. Our server was very cheery and our food came out quickly, with quite large portions. Not sure I’ll personally stop by again since there’s nothing special about their meals, but I see the appeal for families and large groups. It’s affordable and has a decent atmosphere, but don’t expect to have the best Chinese food of your life.
The food was delicious and tasty. The sushi rolls & hand roll tasted fresh. The calamari was abundantly gifting to the pallet with it's beautiful flavors & variety of textures from the crunchyness of the calamari itself to crunchy juicyness of the jalapeños & green onions the dish was topped with. The flavors over all for the food were very satisfying. I don't feel the prices are quite right however, they are a bit high for what you get especially when the service staff is not very strong in good quality customer service. Lastly the worst part of this visit for me was how terribly filthy & neglected the women's restroom was. Used feminine sanitary products just thrown on the floor for the world to see, urine all over the floor, toilet paper on the floor, the stench, & I can't believe I'm saying this but a cluster of little flies in the very center of the restroom. I assure you between the bad attitude of the staff to the disgusting restroom " I lost my appetite" is a huge understatement. Worst birthday dinner experience by far. Wish I would have chosen a different place to go for my birthday, at least if I had this experience on a none birth day, I would not have been as completely let down.
It's a really nice environment but I wouldn't go back, based on the food. It was ok but also came to My table in literally around 3 minutes. It took double that time just to get My beer. Asked for vegetable and what I got was a whole lot of almost raw red onion with a small sprinkle of matchstick carrots and even less cabbage...pretty lame.
Not a great experience. It took an hour to get appetizers and another hour for food (Which was over priced and tasted mediocre). At the end of our meal we spoke to management about disappointment with the wait. Instead of simply apologizing for our experience... he decides to mediate between us and the rest of the staff. "Well, they said so and so.." He did remove one of the meals we didn't eat from the bill, which isn't what we wanted. We just wanted our experience to be acknowledged.
I invited my daughter for lunch to Wokcano at Burbank ordered lamb, crazy rice and orange chicken… the chunk of lamb were over fried, rice was good with more soy sauce, orange chicken was with no flavor and dry…I know very well when food is heated in the microwave. I know this restaurant is not a very high scale restaurant but a little respect for customers could be nice… I will remember my first lunch 2026.
Asked 3 different people for utensils to eat. Food was on table for 10 minutes. Got it myself. Another server asked what I was doing then I explained we had asked 3 different people to assist us and then she just turned away and walked off. Was told to split bill for her (server). I’m sorry, what? Had to ask multiple times for refills for the same time asked previously. On 1 occasion for a refill, had to ask 3 times within a 10-15 minute span. Never had such a bad experience anywhere. Was so excited to eat here since I was coming to Burbank. Always had good experience here. Food was delicious as always but this server, literally, made the worst experience ever and I doubt I’ll be back because of her.
