I'm working in the area and I found this restaurant on Google Maps. I liked the photos and decided to go, and I was so glad I did! The food was incredible. The set menu is €16, but you leave feeling stuffed and well-fed. For starters, I ordered a salad, which was super filling. For my main course, the waitress suggested a grilled beef steak, which was amazing—cooked to perfection with a side of potatoes and sautéed mushrooms. It was incredible! And for dessert, a cake that was absolutely delicious. The service was fantastic. I give it a 10/10. Highly recommended!
On December 23rd, I had lunch with my family at the restaurant, ordering a set menu for €15. I have nothing but praise for the service; the staff were incredibly polite and friendly throughout our meal. The food was also excellent, with several choices for starters and main courses, and we each ordered something delicious. The stuffed peppers, the grilled beef, and the sirloin steak were all fantastic. 100% recommended.
It's a restaurant with good food. The service in the dining room was good, but at the bar, I had a different experience. I asked for an appetizer, and a girl told me she had no idea and simply walked away, leaving me talking to myself. The appetizer was a coxinha, so I should know what she's working with. I'm Brazilian and saw that it looked like a coxinha, but I didn't realize it was actually one, since it's a Spanish bar. Anyway, very rude. Otherwise, everything was fine!
Great food, service and interior. Recommended
A very good restaurant in Burgos. They have a fully comprehensive daily menu. I ordered rice soup for a starter, churrasco for a main course, and cheesecake for dessert. Finally, the menu includes coffee at the bar, which helps with table turnover and keeps the price of €15.00 for everything mentioned above plus a drink. In addition, the staff was excellent, and the good clientele gives this place a very pleasant atmosphere.
We went for a daily menu, very complete and homemade. It includes five starters and main courses to choose from, dessert, bread, and a drink. Without a doubt, the service was unbeatable. Service was fast, attentive, and the place was very clean. The portions were generous and the ingredients were superb. Everything was cooked to perfection, with no detail missing. The entire staff was very friendly, both to each other and to us. They were very coordinated and polite. A very family-friendly atmosphere, and we will definitely return.
Best meat!
Well, the portions are more than enough, and you certainly get a bang for your buck. The ensalada seemed quite cheap / bought off market. The costillas were great but very greasy... I was sleepy the entire afternoon. For 11€ per menu it's quite good price / quality-wise
Ok
I hadn't been there in years, and unfortunately, I was deeply disappointed. It's obvious they've changed owners. Before, they stood out for the quality of their food and generous portions. Now, the daily menu is very basic, more like a battle-hardened affair. I found the first courses to be bland. The stuffed eggplant had no flavor, and the salmorejo, being a simple dish, was nothing like what it should be. The main courses improved a bit: the meatballs were passable, and the meat, while tasty, wasn't exactly impressive simply grilled. The fries were good, but the canned mushrooms were truly unpleasant. The desserts were also disappointing. They didn't seem homemade, especially the orange tart, which I found to be quite bland. On the positive side: the prices are affordable, and there's a variety on the menu, both for starters and main courses. The service from the waitresses was also okay. In short: a disappointing experience. I won't be back.
Normal
The weekend menu cost us 20 euros per person, a waste in my opinion. For my first course, I ordered a ham and foie gras salad, which was literally half a kilo of lettuce thrown on the plate. The tomato tasted of nothing, and the foie gras never arrived. For my second course, I ordered breaded chicken fillet with honey and mustard sauce, which also wasn't homemade because it was as tough as a rock, and some pieces were inedible. We didn't like the desserts either, although we were told they weren't homemade.
A terrible experience. The first course was a gypsy stew, which was a hodgepodge of chickpeas and beans, leftovers from previous days, and stuffed eggplant with a strange, old-fashioned meat flavor. For the second course, I ordered pork cheeks and chops. The pork cheeks had good flavor but were cold, and the chops were barely passable, served with some cold strips of peppers straight from the can. I asked what homemade desserts they had, and they told me they had them all. We ordered fried milk and cake, both mass-produced. The waitress brazenly told me they were mass-produced but homemade, and asked why I ate them if I didn't like them. I told her to at least look at the plate, which was still there, untouched. An experience I will never return to, and certainly not recommend to anyone.
