Great place to grab a burger, I had a Mexican style veg patty on a bed of lettuce and it was tasty and a great healthy option. They have a great selection of craft beers and the staff are quick to help.

Always a great experience whether its dining in or take out. Food is quite tasty too.

My friend too me and my family here for a quick bite to eat as we were on a layover at SFO. The hamburger was delicious, salad was very good too, the onion ring were good…BUT I think the service was OUTSTANDING !!! We have been going to San Fran for several years now and after COVID it just felt like all the restaurants were begging for big tips but gave bad service. my wife and I both felt that the service here deserved a tip and we were happy to give it. Unfortunately I forgot to take photos since I was completely jet lagged after flying half way around the world… kudos to the team at Maverick Jacks. We will definitely go there again

We had the pleasure of hosting our baby's 1st birthday here and it couldn't have gone any smoother, with the help of Fabiana and our server Bella. Great communication with Fabiana all throughout the weeks leading up to our party to the day before. We were able to have our entire party seated in the covered patio right outside of the restaurant, which allowed our guests to freely roam around and chat with everyone. It was a little warm that day but they provided 2 fans to help cool off our guests. Our guests also were coming in and out and arriving at different times, but Bella was so patient in taking everyone's orders and making sure everything was accurate. They were so helpful with providing everything we needed, I couldn't ask for more! Aside from the amazing service, the food was also delicious. The Outlaw might be one of the juiciest and most flavorful burgers I've ever had, I will definitely be coming back even if not hosting a party. I couldn't recommend this location enough!!

Food is almost always extraordinary. My friend ordered her burger medium and mine medium rare and they were perfect. Only flaw was that service was somewhat unattentive: 6 waitstaff helping 8 tables with each table having 2-5 patrons and we weren't even checked-on for water refills, let alone asking if we needed anything or, "how is your food?"

Our go-to "fancy burger" place. Good quality meats, well prepared. Fries are nice and crisp, with some decent options. Friendly service, too. Salads are really good, well balanced and not too sweet. Milkshakes and deserts are mediocre, but nowhere is perfect.

I was visiting from out of town and looking for a good burger spot. This place is so good I ended up visiting twice in 24 hours. Highly recommend. Also, I hope they keep the fries and tots using beef tallow as an option going forward. Much more flavorful. The second visit it seemed there was only 1 waitress working all the tables, but she got us taken care of although a little bit slow.

Great burgers and great location. Right by the train station, this place does what it does (burgers and beers) and does it well. Burgers are cooked to order with a nice array of fresh toppings and customization available. Fries are hot, crisp and salty. Beer array isn't huge but they are solid and pair well with the grub, or you can go gluttonous and snag a milkshake. Has the feel of a mixture between a 1950s diner and a gastropub. Solid choice for families or a quick bite.

Quick and good service. The place itself is a little tight in certain seats but it's mostly good. Had the impossible burger with garlic parmesan fries. The burger was good apart from an abundance of lettuce. The fries were a bit too heavy on the garlic so if too much garlic is not for you, stay away from those.

Awesome burgers, seasoned perfectly with the occasional train. The fact it's located with windows facing out towards the Caltrain station provides immense entertainment for young kids. Alongside the train noises you'll hear kids being giddy.

This place has really good food and gigantic portions. It was the perfect place to eat after flying all day. I liked the atmosphere, cute and modern but not fussy. The service was great. Very attentive. I will probably go back if I am in the area again. Oh and there is a Little Free Library outside.

I got the kids slider with cheese, parm garlic fries, and the strawberry lemonade. It was homemade lemonade and it was delicious. I’d add a photo but I ate it too fast. It was definitely more than enough to fill up an adult and for the price and amount of food it was pretty good. There was even left overs! The fries were so garlicky and had real garlic which was so delicious and the meat quality is amazing.

This review is for a private event at Maverick Jack’s. We held an end of season celebration for a couple club soccer teams here on a Saturday evening with two days’ notice, and the Maverick Jack’s team executed on it flawlessly. The email coordination in advance was responsive, thoughtful, and flexible. The space was set up well with a kids’ table for the players and siblings, comfortable seating and standing areas for the parents, and nice ambience for the pre-holiday season. The staff was ready to take our orders as soon as we arrived, and the food came out quickly, especially given our large group size. They were able to accommodate individual orders and checks per family, which just made things that much easier for the organizers. Overall, it was a wonderful experience both as an organizer and attendee, and a memorable end of season celebration!

The burgers here are so good! I got the bacon ultimatum and it was packed with flavor. The bread is light and fluffy and the lettuce and tomato were very fresh. I also highly recommend getting some garlic parmesan french fries. They also have a nice list of beers and non-alcoholic beverages.

The decor is amazing very modern and chic. The restaurant is very clean and efficiently run. One of the best parts is hearing and feeling the train go by as you dine. Wonderful and very courteous staff. Huge burgers and salads. TUESDAY DEAL is $10 and includes a burger with fries and soda. Great place for a casual or formal date. This place is awesome! It’s just a burger joint but their food is definitely a cut above and their staff is phenomenal. So many servers go through the motions these days but both everyone here is focused on the customer. Plus they have Deschutes on tap so what else is there to say?

Great burger, excellent staff and clean comfortable restaurant with indoor and outdoor dining right next to the commuter train in the Broadway area. The hostess is super pleasant with the most beautiful smile!

It's best to go here when it's not a busy time. They shared a parking lot with caltrain and caltrain charges $5 per parking spot. Only 15-20 spots belonged to Maverick Jacks where you can park for free. The train will fly by and cause some noise. Food is excellent and very tasty. I do want to mention that we did encountered a few fruit flies flying around our food.

I feel bad for you if you've never tried a Maverick Jack burger. The staff genuinely cares about quality, I would bet even more than the customer. Get anything on the menu, go adventurous with some point reyes cheese, or whatever you're into. The fries are always hot and worth it, they also have a bar for the top brass. Shout out to Michael the owner, I've never seen passion like that in the food industry.

Can't say enough about how wonderful the service was, the meal, the cleanliness of the location included the restroom. On a scale of 1 to 10 the Burger and fries were a te. This was my first visit on Thursday. As soon as I left I call my husband and said I found a fantastic burger, we are going Saturday. Today being Saturday, I took him and he loved it. This time I ordered onion rings and he had a milkshake. He couldn't stop raving about how yummy all of it was. I had 2 different servers both time I went. They were both so nice, and made you feel welcome. ( side note the burger didn't come with onion. Just ask and you'll have it ASAP. I am a water drinker, and I have to mention that the have some of the best water. The addition of having the train go by while your there is nice. Can't wait until we go again. They open 11a to 8 p.

Cooked perfectly, fresh bun, fresh vegetables, and so like the flavor of the Maverick Jack’s sauce. This was a quality burger all around. The fries were fine and tasted hot and fresh…but honestly nothing worth remembering. Good fries - but nothing out of the ordinary. The burger was much better than the fries. The star of the show though was the vanilla malt I had. That malt was one of (if not the) best malt I have ever had!! It was excellent. Amber took good care of the, as did the gentleman who brought me my burger, and the person who cleaned up my table when I was done. Nice place, very clean, very cozy and relaxing. Easy access and plenty of (free) parking. All and all just great food, deserts, and a pleasant dinning experience! Would definitely recommend!

Maverick Jack's is a great place for lunch. I found the hamburger I ordered extremely delicious. The fries are some of the best I have tasted in my life. Literally on the other side of the tracks. The burger was cooked just the way I wanted it and the garlic parmesan fries were awesome and definitely enough for two people to share. I sat outside on a late May night and it was perfect, not too hot not too cold. The staff was very attentive to my needs. Our first time at Mavericks was enjoyable, and worth a visit when you feel like splurging. The service was good, not great, however the food came out fast and the fun atmosphere was refreshing. The food tasted very fresh and natural. The garlic fries were extremely tasty, with a strong yet pleasant fresh garlic flavor. My garden burger was a bit lacking for flavor, and my friend's beef burger was a bit dry. The chocolate shake tasted like a combo of chocolate and vanilla - the flavor reminded me of the shakes at in-n-out. And my last friend's order was mixed up, however they corrected it immediately and gave him his order bursting with avocado. All in all, it's a wonderful atmosphere with good music and fresh and tasty food. Their steep prices make this a burger joint which I wouldn't visit except for special occasions or when I feel like splurging.

Neat RR atmosphere! Clean and inviting. And the servers were not only helpful but happy and fun. Great burger! And the SanFrancisoyer salad w/ salmon was delicious. No room for the ice cream shakes but they sound and look awesome. The manager came by to see how we were doing -- a nice touch, and sincere. We'll be back!

Good burgers here. The Tuesday special is a good deal. Service can be slow, had to flag the waiter for refills and a lot of them cause it's all ice. There is outdoor seating available. Parking is limited as it shares a lot with caltrain. Milk shakes are pretty good. Overall a good burger joint.

My friends and I went here for lunch. We were greeted and seated right away but it was a bit of a wait for our waiter to come and take our order. Everyone was ready by the time he finally came to get our drink order so we just ordered our food. The food was good and our waiter did check in with us a couple times. But we did have to flag him down for the check. Besides that, the food was good.

We came because of the Bleu Ribbon burger on the website and our server said that was discontinued. I ordered the Maverick with bleu cheese. Our server Vitor went out of his way to ask if the kitchen if they could make me Bleu Ribbon burger, and they did.

Great service, great shakes, great burgers, interesting location right by the tracks. Parking is easy in a dedicated section of the CalTrain lot. Overall a nice change from the usual burger place. Went with the whole family and the kids really enjoyed it.

Had a really nice time at Maverick Jacks. We got seated right away and sat outside. It was nice to hear the train go by and enjoy the sun. I had the peach iced tea and it was very refreshing. I ordered the beermeister and we also got the jacked up crispy chicken. The chicken sandwich was a little dry and could used more sauce. I didn't realize it was a former train station. We sat outside in a beautiful late October noontime and it was kind of perfect. The train's going by aren't bad because they're electric now. Wasn't very busy but service was spot on and food was quite good. I had the club which was really nice. My partner got a impossible beef burger which was not very interesting.

The food was good, but a little pricey. Service was good and our waitress was very accommodating, letting us know that they could even make a burger for our dog We sat in the patio area because we had our dog with us. It's a great place to bring your dog. They have synthetic grass, picnic tables, and the patio had plenty of room for my dog to lie down under the table and walk around. We will definitely be coming back to this place!

A real American burger joint. In the right spot with all the excitement of the railroad train passing by wall heaven a well done burger with fries along with some good San Fransokyo salad. Call ambience inside and out. three outside patios, inside small and large party tables. Pleasant and friendly, welcoming service by all personnel. Overall, very good experience and will be glad to be back.

Great atmosphere inside and outside which is nicely covered. Great location to bring your dog with you (pet friendly). Staff was nice but barely around would have liked to see more of a presence for the chance a customer needed anything. Solid burger that we were able to enjoy here. Seems like a great place to come and eat, certainly bigger inside than what we thought it was based on the outside of the building. I’m sure we came at a slow time because it would seem they get the most traffic based on train schedules. They have a loyalty program that seemed a little lengthy in terms of sign up and more confusing in terms of getting points for dollars spent. Please explain program early on if you want that to work. The best part I think was the chocolate shake I got here, solid choice!

Probably a great place to bring kids, but we came for the burgers. These were only average. More bun than meat and not memorable in any way really. We also asked for fries cooked crispy. Mine were clearly held and not cooked to order. Prices were steep for the quality and portion size. Everything and I mean everything is extra. Cheese of course.. but if you want sesame seeds on that bun... yep $. I'm sorry to say that In and Out does a better job and is literally half the price. This is a burger establishment. I was expecting Habit or The Counter level of quality. Just wasn't the case. Restaurant and facilities we're clean, server was attentive, but the overall experience doesn't warrant a return visit for us.

First time being here, the food was okay, girlfriend got the chicken sandwich and she mentioned it didn't have that much flavor/seasoning to it. For the price, the food really wasn't up to par when comparing to similar places.

Dined here last week. Food was decent, but way way overpriced. Service was good albeit a bit un-attentive. Here's why you should NOT eat here. A week after we ate there, I received a text spam offering a special deal. Now I don't know about you, but I really, really dislike companies that employ this particularly annoying marketing practice. Here's the even worse thing. I never signed up for their privacy-destroying rewards program or provided my mobile number to Mavericks. This means, they likely data mined my private information from their point of sale company (the tablet that takes payment from my credit card). Please do not support restaurants that every day violate people's privacy by buying information from third party data collectors and then use this data to send unsolicited, annoying and likely illegal phone spam. Don't patronize this business. We all need to do our part in sending a clear message to those who use these tactics.

The veggie burger was OK. It’s a bit dry. Definitely could use a tomato or a pickle. However, what really almost made me throw up was the fact that there was a bug in my food… do not get their Caesar salad!

The food is pretty good, my main complaint is how much they email you. Somehow I got on their email list and no matter how many times I unsubscribe or block the automatic sender I still get promotional emails from them. Multiple times a day at the most random times, I don't even live near them anymore and there is apparently no way to stop the spam. Still getting texts, less frequently at least, even after they replied.

I arrived at the restaurant at 2:15pm, it’s not busy. The waiter gave us a seat outside because I came with my dog. He did not check on me until 2:45pm when another customer walked in and sat outside. Maybe he was high cause he definitely forgot he sat us outside. It was definitely not rush hour cause only 2-3 tables were occupied. I didn’t feel like eating at that point when he apologized that he forgot we were at the outdoor seating, because it was 30 minutes later!!!! He didn’t even offer water! Bad service! Will not return and I’ll tell everyone I know not to go here.

I ordered my meat medium but received well done burgers & overcooked fries. low quality Milkshakes. The flies were Swarming at our food even though we sat indoors. The bathrooms at gas stations are cleaner than Maverick Jacks. See photos. I highly do not recommend this place at all! For a $20 burger, I expected higher quality food, service, and cleanliness **follow-up** Because of my one star review, the owner reached out to me. I am pleased and quite impressed with their response. Therefore I may give this restaurant another try.
