We have dined there many times. The food is always fresh and delicious. The service is great. The atmosphere is fun and entertaining.

I had the chance to celebrate my birthday at Mextreme in Cancun, and it was such a memorable experience! From the moment you walk in, the place bursts with energy, live music, a festive atmosphere, and a staff that goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome. The food was delicious and full of flavour, but what really stood out was the way the team made the celebration special. They sang for me, brought hats and sombreros, and even gave out fun props so everyone could take photos and enjoy the moment. It felt like a true Mexican party, full of laughter, music, and color. What I loved most was how authentic the vibe was. It wasn’t just dinner; it was an experience, one that made me feel part of the culture and spirit of Mexico. I absolutely recommend Mextreme to anyone visiting Cancun, whether you’re celebrating a birthday, a special occasion, or simply looking for a fun night out. It’s a place where great food, fantastic service, and an incredible atmosphere come together to create memories you won’t forget.

Omg so much fun! The waiters are fantastic especially Gonzalez! We had a blast and the food is delicious. We would recommend coming here and we will be coming back in the future.

I’ll give you my quite honest review in a quick summary: the food was amazing; however, was is worth the price: no! We paid more than Santa Barbara, California prices in Cancun, MX. I mean we could have gotten the same in Santa Barbara for probably a bit less. The nachos were amazing but $30 is quite a lot for some tortilla chips, meat, guacamole, and sour cream. My husband had the tampiqueña steak for 500 Mexican pesos and he literally told me: “my steak was not what I expected. I felt like it was a steak but cut in half to save some meat for the next guest”. No regular sides came with his dish. The cocktails we had were good - but nothing special. We pay about $10 for a cocktail during happy hour in the US where one will get you hammered. The service and presentation of everything was great, nothing to complain about except the last awkward moment when the server told my husband (who was the only fluent Spanish speaking person) that the tip we gave was not enough. They literally demanded 15% tip on top of those outrageous prices. I mean I understand they work hard and everything but where are we to demand a certain percentage? We came to Mexico to spend less money on our vacation and not more than if we would have vacationed in Florida, California or Hawaii. Bottom line is: if you don’t mind spending $50 per person for one dish and one cocktail, this is your to go spot. 🙂

Mextreme Restaurant in Cancun offers a lively and memorable dining experience that blends vibrant atmosphere with efficient service. One practical highlight is the convenient parking located in the back, which makes arrival and departure much easier, especially in the busy Hotel Zone area. We visited on a Monday evening and were pleasantly surprised by the live mariachi performance, which added an authentic and festive energy to the night. The music elevated the entire experience without being overwhelming and created a true sense of place. Service was notably quick and attentive, with staff moving efficiently while still being friendly and welcoming. The sound level is high in the evenings. One of the more theatrical touches is the presentation of the cocktails, which are balanced on the server’s head before being delivered to the table. It is certainly entertaining and adds to the fun, though the drinks themselves were slightly watered down. While still enjoyable, they could benefit from a bit more strength or concentration of flavor. A particularly heartwarming moment was seeing a large local family celebrating their grandmother’s birthday nearby. It added to the authenticity of the restaurant and showed that Mextreme is not just a tourist stop, but also a place locals choose for meaningful celebrations. Overall, Mextreme delivers a fun, energetic Mexican dining experience worth visiting in Cancun.

We had a great first dinner during our stay in Cancun here! The staff were very friendly and attentive. We enjoyed the live entertainment from the waiters and really felt a good vibe. The decorations were very colourful and it was a fun experience.

Great spot for typical Mexican food full of flavor. The atmosphere is super fun – bartenders dancing with trays of drinks on their heads really make the place unique. Friendly staff and good vibes all around!

Excellent service from Javier, good meal. A good experience, even though it is so noisy from the traffic and only a view of the street. Had the veggie tacos, Margherita and a glass of white wine.

Don't be fooled by the good reviews, the food here is more bland than my English mothers home cooking. No seasoning, no spice, no sauce. Worst meal I've ever had in a restaurant and very expensive. Only gave two stars because the staff were great and the live band was cute. Would not recommend.

This place had a good vibe, but unfortunately the most disappointing food I had in Cancun. The food seemed like some fusion food that was very bland and not tasty. They brought us chocolate cake when informed about a birthday, which seemed to be on the house at that time but we were charged for it. Service was good.
