The BEST chicken in Southern California! Straight up or burrito form just come in and get their amaZing chicken! Flavor all the way through the bone(yes da bone) yet still moist and yummy! Pastries just waiting to top it all off. Great and fun looking atmosphere, a slice of Cuban heaven in the Valley!

A new favorite. Absolutely delicious chicken and sides. Huge amount of food for the price 10/10 will be back. Maybe this week!! Edit to add: I’ve been back twice in two weeks. The Cuban sandwich is absolutely fantastic. Quickly becoming my favorite local spot. Cheers!

Hidden gem in the Canoga. Chicken is super delicious, juicy, smokey from the charcoal and portions are great. Service is fast and staff are friendly. I only tried the chicken and it's so good I can't even start thinking about trying something else. Highly recommended. Perfect for pickup for a family dinner after work.

I love this place, it has a variety of food options, baked goods. I visit it every 2 weeks either for work or personal dinning. The workers are friendly, the dinning area is very clean.

My mother and I were actually going to eat at another restaurant, but did not see anything on the menu that we liked. The owner was sitting outside of this restaurant and convinced us to come in. Told us that we would not be disappointed and boy was he right!!! I personally do not eat chicken, but the owner provided my mother a sample piece and she said that it was flavorful, moist and juicy. I ordered the grilled salmon combo and my mother ordered the white fish (bass) combo. We both had the yellow rice and grilled asparagus. OMG!!!! The owner was right! The fish was also flavorful, moist and juicy. The asparagus was grilled to perfection. The cook came to our table to ask us how was it, and hands down IT WAS SOOOOO GOOD. I even ordered my husband a combo plate to go and we bought some mini tarts. What a great surprise and treat. I will be coming back. 😁

Today was the first time eating at any Ay Papa Que Rico and I can say with absolute assuredly that I will definitely be eating here again. The food was delicious! The very friendly lady who greeted us at the entrance recommended the half chicken combo and it did not disappoint. The staff was also very nice and friendly.

Many places serve charbroiled chicken, this one does right.... actually, it does it wonderfully! The chicken Juicy and in some parts crispy, full of flavor and in the right amount for the price Good variety of food, and pastries. I will definitely come back

I've been ordering from here for years and they never disappoint. I order for catering and I always get 8-10 whole chickens (which they cut up) with rice, beans, salad and the platanos. They're always on time with my order and friendly. Once, they forgot a part of my order and they drove it to my meeting all the way in Van Nuys. GREAT SERVICE, GREAT FOOD, GREAT PEOPLE.

The burger took me a trip down memory lane. A good burger I used to enjoy in the past now long gone. I’ll come again to try other grilled dishes

I've been back to this place so many times in the last few weeks, the staffs started to recognized me 🤣 I tried the: • Grilled chicken with yellow rice 5/5 • Ribs with yellow rice 5/5 • The fried Yucca 5/5 it was sooo good!! but I think $5 for 5 wedges only is kinda overpriced 🤣 • The pastries, especially the Guava cheese strudel 5/5 • Chicken Tamales 5/5. It was seasoned perfectly with the best, smoothest softest masa that melts in your mouth kinda goodness! • Chicken & Asada burritos 5/5 both are equally good!! • Today I got 17" Al Pastor pizza with no onion 4.5/5. It was so delicious! It was packed with all the good stuffs and taste like fireworks of flavors (salty, sweet, sour & spicy) that explode with each bite in the mouth! I had to stop myself after 2nd slice 🤭🤭🤭 One surprise I got,.. they put pineapple chunks on it and it wasn't mentioned in the menu. Although I'm not someone against pineapple on pizza.. just prefer to have it only once in a while I'll still order it some other time without pineapple and ask for the pizza to be baked more well done till the edges get crispier. Go try them yourself! The place was kept clean, very organized and well maintained. The whole restaurant smell so good of grilled food! I'm very satisfied with the service and the food! Parking is free but could be hard during busy hours. The small lot is shared with other restaurants & starbucks.

From the minute I walked in the friendliness from the staff was all over the place, we tried the famous grilled chicken, Asada bowl and papas. All the food was great, the chicken was juicy and perfectly grilled, the smokiness from the mesquite charcoal elevated my palate to a new high. I will be back for more, oh also they have a full bakery as well.

The menu has a variety of Latin American cuisine like, Cuban, Mexican, Peruvian, and Salvadorean. What this place is known for is the charbroiled chicken. It was so juicy and delicioso!! The marinade was so good and the chicken was lean and the skin crispy. There is even a bakery and coffee bar. Staff was friendly. I will return and try their white fish.

This place is great. Food is always good. Food took a little to come out but it’s always amazing. Not super expensive either. Would recommend it to anyone looking for a good meal.

Today we ordered a whole chicken meal that included a side of yellow rice,whole black beans, tortillas and delicious green/red salsa. We also ordered a side of fried plantains Frito. Meal was enough to feed 4 happy customers 🤩

My favorite place to bring family when they come visit. Everyone always loves the food and you can feed a big family on a budget with the 1 and 2 chicken meals. The chicken is always super flavorful, hot, and juicy. The plantains are cooked perfectly and the beans and salsa are flavorful and delicious.

the food is amazing, except their veggie burritos are horrendous. kinda surprising how anyone could screw up a vegetarian burrito recipe, let alone menu, but the other items are pretty good. i especially love their chicken and rice. the pupusas have a little too much dough/not enough filling for their price, but the filling tastes good nonetheless. i also love how close to the orange line it is.

Ordered a whole chicken combo with French fries. Fries didn’t arrive after I had my toddler excited for them. Only one salsa for an entire family order. No jalapeños either. When I go in person I get a lot more. Now that I had to pay more to have it delivered they didn’t even give me as much, or everything I ordered. Called to let them know and was just told to wait on hold

I dont have the photos of the desserts because we took it for to go.

The food selection and bakery items are great along with the cozy ambient; however, the experience I had when calling to place a phone order ahead of my arrival could use improvement. I called to place an order. I started heading to the restaurant. They sounded busy but not one time they came back to the call. I arrived and they kept on taking customers from the line until it was my turn to be serviced. #000149

This place is fine. Chicken is ok . It is CERTAINLY not worth 5 bucks a piece; that’s really what you’re paying for the whole chicken as it comes with 5 mere pieces…. Utter ripoff.

But here lies another issue, trying to get a hold of somebody at this store is a job of its own. They simply won't pick up, or you're placed on what feels like an indefinite hold. Picking up said orders is also laborious. They're never ready even half an hour after they say it would be. When you tell them to cancel the unmade late order, you will still get charged for it because of their complete lack of organization. Order catering for a particular day at a certain time? Be ready to enter the building early to order it again because they will not have it ready, regardless if you've paid or not. This has been an ongoing management (or lack there of) issue at this particular location the whole year of 2024. Food is still fantastic. Props to the hard working personals in the kitchen. Thank you. This review is for takeout. I've ordered a couple times for takeout due to their early'ish closing times. My first initial order was somewhat ok. I ordered tostones but disappointingly received the sweet plantains instead. The steak and/or chicken empanadas were just ok. The arroz chaufa was tasteless and extremely disappointing. But the chicken...the CHICKEN!!! The juicy chicken was outstanding. Simply the best, without question. It was so good, in fact, that I placed another (larger) order the very next day. To my disbelief, if I thought it was delicious before, the chicken was unbelievably a notch better. Everything somehow was. The regular rice was great. The beans were perfect. The chicken empanadas were so much better, as its reminiscent flavors of home were soul touching to me. The tostones (they got it right this time) were fantastic. I hope for their consistency. And while I truly hate the name of this restaurant, this latest indulgence had me saying Ay Papá, que rico.

I do not recommend the food at this place; it's unpleasant.

They gave me the wrong item. After I returned home I realized they gave me the wrong item and had the return. They offered me no compensation for the my time wasted. Furthermore, I had to wait again until they made me what I ordered originally. A total waste of a 1.5 hours. Again no compensation not even a true heart felt apology. Also they gave me only one small salsa for two ordered items. I had to purchase extra. The service was lousy. The food was super expensive for all the time wasted and what I received. Over $30 for a small salad and one burrito and an additional $1 for two more small salsas.

2nd time Here and this place is the Worst!The Workers especially the lady at the Register is So incompetent let's your Food just sit there without saying anything. HORRIBLE Service and Communication Very Bad took Over 30 min for a simple quesadilla. They Need RETRAINING!!

We stood for 10 minutes before an employee acknowledged us. 4 workers passed by without saying a word. There were not a lot of customers and they didn’t look busy.
