Good place to relax and socialize if you're in the area. Had a great time every time I've been. Staff had always been super friendly, too.

Staff is friendly. The last band that played was AWESOME 👌 and the karaoke nights are fun watching others have the courage to stand in front of everyone and sing. Liquid courage or not 😄.

The chicken fried ribeye was absolutely amazing and the quesadilla and cheese steak were great too! The Caesar salad was also surprisingly delicious. A great night out and a place we will definitely return to!

We live on the north side of the lake, and have gone to the Dam Red Barn many times. It is a fun place to have a few drinks and sing some karaoke. The food is excellent as well. Today my wife and I had chips and queso, a southwest chicken salad and cheese curds. Everything we ordered was delicious. I also know from past experience that the home-made fried pork skins are amazing and so is the S.O.S..

The staff is friendly and the prices are fair. They have an 8 ball tournament on Thursday nights. Kima, the tournament director, does a good job running it. The local crowd is friendly and makes for a nice atmosphere. Pool tables are in good shape also. There's a stage for music and a good amount of dancing floor, if you're into that. I don't know when they have live shows though. The food is amazing too, definitely try that out.

After visiting Canyon Lake for 14 yrs now, wished I knew about this place, had a great experience! Staff was awesome, although we didn't eat (other plans) food coming out looked good. This will be my go to place from now on, lots to look forward to!

Choose to come to this place out on a whim an hour and half before closing. We were promptly greeted. Our waiter was awesome, and the food was awesome. The Dam Red Barn is now our go to spot every time we come out to Canyon Lake.

Stopped in for a few, got smashed, left my motorcycle over night. The owner kept our helmets safe over nite. Came back the next day. Got a burger medium well with all the veggies, grilled onions and jalapeño. It was hands down one of the best damn burgers I've ever had. Staff were super friendly.

Went for Thursday night music bingo and it was a blast! Our server, Nene (knee-knee) was fantastic. Food was good, had the surf n’ turf, huge portions and not too pricey. Will definitely bring going back soon.

We went for the brunch. The service was fantastic but the food was phenomenal. Breakfsst quesadillas were on point, biscuits and gravy were delicious, home fries were cooked to perfection. Would definitely recommend this place.

Love, love, love!!! First time there and I can’t rave about this place enough. Took our dogs to go check out the dam, unfortunately was still closed, so we decided to check out DRB. Omg I’m sooo glad we did. First of all the decor is amazing! And I love how open everything is! Next is the menu…we got the habanero mango shrimp app. We practically licked the plate clean it was 🤤🤤. And the nachos as well! Yummy! The dogs got the pup platter to split, a hamburger patty (not from frozen), 2 strips of bacon, and a pup cup with bacon on it for $8! Total steal! Everyone was so friendly. Will be back again as many times as we can! 20/10 for sure!! Thank yall so much for everything!

Just went for a short time on a Saturday night to hear the band. It was fun and the drinks were great and not too expensive!

Despite this place being a hop, skip, and a jump from where I live, I had never been there, till today. I tried it for the first time with my mom and sister. The ambiance was nice. The place has such a good, loungy, fun feel to it. I love the open/fresh air in the place. The service was also really nice. The gentleman who served us was very friendly and accommodating. He made sure to check on us frequently and answered all of our questions. Then our food came out and it surpassed our expectations. Everything was absolutely delicious. Even my sister, who can be quite picky, loved everything about it. We will definitely be back here again!

This place has a cool ice house feel. The food is better than expected and drinks are fun! They have a lovely huge fireplace and stage w dance floor. There are pool tables available. 21 and over only starting at 7 pm I think. Please check on that time.

The restaurant is right next to the dam in Canyon Lake which is very cool. The food was delicious. I highly recommend the fried pickles. Made with a light but very tasty breading and the pickles are thick cut and juicy! The wait staff was genuinely friendly and helped make a good experience a great one. Stop by if you are in the area.

Service was really good. Friendly staff. Food, it wasn't what I had hoped it would be. They had karaoke, which is fun for most everyone. He sounded good when he sang, but it was far too loud for the crowd size. I understand that as it gets louder, the music should get louder as well. But this was obnoxiously loud right out the gate.

This place is amazing. They are super dog friendly and allow dogs inside. We took our malamute there for one last hoorah before he crosses the rainbow bridge. The staff showered him with love and made him special snacks to make sure he felt loved. I am extremely grateful for the love and compassion they showed us.

On our first time here we were unsure what to expect. We were met by our waitress, NiNi (sp?) who instantly made us feel like old friends and regulars. The food was great and we loved the laid back vibe. We came back tonight with family in tow and had another great meal, super drinks, and a completely fun music trivia bingo night. Thank you to our waitress who was so awesome and the entire staff who make you feel right at home. I expect we’ll be back often.

Damn good time at this bar! Jamie is hands down the best bartender there. She’s always on it, multitasking while having a smile on her face. She learns her customers fast and she is super speedy. The food is good and what you’d expect in a bar atmosphere and a little better than average. Emily is superb too!

Update I went for karaoke and it was so much fun! They had every song I wanted to sing, and I even picked some odd 70s songs they had them too!! Lol First things first, best fried pickles in the universe!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I literally only come on karaoke nights! I don't sing well but everyone is so supportive lol I alsolove to people watch and cheer on the Karaokers! Its definitely a feel good spot! Dj Mic Lo is such an amazing singer!! He is good! It's definitely a dinner and a show! The people who karaoke here are so friendly and encouraging! I highly recommend the steaks tip and mash, they cook it to perfection! I invited two friends and bought them both the steak tips and mash and they absolutely agreed it was delicious the whole time they were eating it was just compliments on compliments and food moaning! it's my favorite hangout spot. I look forward to the days I can come out! I've always received amazing hospitality from V and Cam! DAM GOOD FOOD AND DAM GOOD SERVICE AND SO MUCH DAM FUN!

This time, I ordered Garlic Cheese Curds for my appetizer and a Steak Quesadilla. Both were very delicious! I have had the Fried Pickles and Southwest Salad, which were amazing as well. Kid friendly until 7pm. Open air but covered, so dress for the weather. They have a small dance floor area, two pool tables, lots of TV's, and a dart board. Full bar and entertainment throughout the weekend, with something during the week, too. Karaoke, local solo artists, and bands all varying in genre provide an option for everyone - check out their schedule online.

Stopped for a late lunch after an afternoon of hiking along the nature trails nearby. The Southwest chicken salad did not disappoint and the chips and homemade salsa were also good. Generous portions so I had to take a large amount home with me. The service was also friendly and attentive.

Really enjoyed dinner here. Easily 5 stars. Food was excellent, atmosphere great, & waiter & waitress were sweet & friendly. I ordered the Pot Roast Bowl- absolutely delicious! My husband ordered an Asada Steak Slider & Truffle Fries & they were delicious as well. Will definitely stop if we're in the area again.

Partied here a couple nights while on a river trip. Fun place! Karaoke was entertaining, but it seemed the locals dominated on our night. Took almost 2 hours if you signed up to sing. The place was HOT. It's an open barn so dress lite! Wish there were some more fans, AC, or air movers in the place. Live band the next night was good. Dance area by the stage just fine. Good appetizer type foods and drinks were great. Server worked hard but it gets busy and had to go get food and drinks ourselves about half the time. Would visit again👍

Though the food/menu/chef has recently changed (it was actually some of the best food in Canyon Lake before), we have eaten here a couple of times recently and it's all been good. Some items are a bit overpriced for the area, most are on point. Not totally in love with the bar pricing and service can be hit or miss. They do have their liquor license but if you're a beer and wine drinker, there's several other places in town that you can do much better at. It's not my go-to place, but it's nice to have as an option. Overall a good joint. Try brunch here!

We went to Dam Red Barn to meet some friends for karaoke. It's kind of rustic, as the name suggests, but it's a nice place. There were a couple parties going on so it was pretty busy but we still got our drinks quickly, unlike some places I've gone where you have to stand in line for 30 minutes waiting for a drink. The staff were all very nice & the place was clean. Even with that many people & music going, it wasn't so loud that you couldn't hear each other, which was very nice. One thing I thought was really cool is that it's dog friendly. There is a covered area just outside of the bar with tables & chairs where several people had their dogs, so they weren't running around in the main area where people were eating. The bar is all open on that side though so you could hang out there with your dogs & still be able to hear the music but not feel like you're separated from everything. We didn't order food but there were a few people in our group that did. They all said the food was good. We had a great time there & I would definitely go back.

It was a busy karaoke night and a Friday evening, so I understand why service was a bit lacking. I was a fun night. The servers were great when they came to our table, and we even had a backup server when ours was running around, busy with other tables. Will have to visit again soon.

We had forgotten how much fun the Dam Red Barn is. My husband and I spent Saturday afternoon playing pool with other locals while drinking beer. It has been way too long since we've taken time for ourselves. The bartender Tara, the servers Doug S and Emily K were very friendly and just good people. The atmosphere was fun and easy. The only thing I had issues with was how dusty it was inside; however, it's unavoidable since they have a dirt parking lot all around them. The bathroom was clean as well. We will be back to enjoy playing pool again. If y'all read this though, y'all may want to get a couple more tables. ;) :)

Ice cold drinks and live music... that'll get Dam Red Barn 4 Stars! Also good service so, I'm in for another visit. Easy parking and access. Everything else is normal ice house stuff in the great Texas Hill Country. Go enjoy!

We were riding through the hill country and stopped in. Our first time there. Some of the group ate, they really enjoyed it. The burger looked delicious!

Recently re-visited the Dam Red Barn and it is still a good place to go. Food was good and well-priced, drinks were priced at what was expected. Still have a couple of well-used pool tables. Went on a Thursday night for dirty bingo and it was a lot of fun with a good crowd.

Best Poutine of my life! Place was a little pricey but has live entertainment so it was worth it!

Can't rate food as I didn't eat. Drinks were cold. The atmosphere was friendly and inviting. They have a couple of dart boards and pool tables (quarters) that offer entertainment when live music isn't or your favorite team isn't playing. Doggos not included - seems to be a pet friendly joint. Worth having a beer or 7.

After a long wait at the table I went up to the bar to order my food and all the girls ignored me until a gentleman by the name of Kevin took my order and took care of me at the table. The rest of the servers need to go and work some other place this place not Kevin deserves to have people like that which ruins the efforts of the rest of the employees including the owner.

It has a good atmosphere. There are pool tables, but no darts, No shuffleboard. There is a smoking area. The food was good. Service was good.

The place is friendly and the band that played that night, was good...but for being a bar with live music and pool tables...it falls short. There's very little room to dance. Not enough tables. Pool is only $1 a game which is great! But bring your own stick, theirs are bowed and most don't have usable tips on them.

Very disappointed in the service.!!! This was our 2nd try. We had the same waitress who was very inattentive and short with us. She did not come check on us except one time. We had to flag her down to get a second drink AND we waited for over 1.25 hours for our food. Needless to say we will likely never return. Shame on management. We blame you.

I ordered the burger with fries, and added cheddar cheese, bacon, and pickles. As far as the burger went, the bun was cold, the burger patty was extremely bland with no flavor, and the quality of the beef could have been higher. Bacon and cheese was very thin and did not add a lot of flavor. Overall 5/10. The fries were battered and seasoned very well, so this is something I would definitely order again. The service was exceptional, but the burger was subpar.

It was ok place, however not my cup of tea. The food was extremely late, we waited over 1 hour to arrive, same for the drinks. They had only one server. Other than that the quality of the food was also not as good as we expected from the other reviews. Won't come again

The food was sub-par and expensive. The drinks were nasty. The service was non existent. We had to wait about 20 minutes before a server even came by. After that, we had to flag down a server every time we needed something, as we never saw the initial server again. After our small and over priced appetizer, our group had to go to the bar to tab out since we could never find a server. It was such an awful experience that we just left. Maybe it was a bad night. I'm keen on second chances, but this experience was so awful, I can't see myself wilfully returning.

Used to like coming here - great Wing Wednesday special and friendly service, even when busy, but haven’t been for awhile after a weird interaction with the karaoke dj. I get that it’s a bar but don’t expect to feel comfortable if you’re just trying to grab dinner and they’re desperate for karaoke contestants.

I really don't have much to say about this place. This was my friends and I first time In The area.. we thought we would try it. There was live music. But we had to catch a waitress coming out of the rest room to get service. We got our drink order ( that's all we had) beers were hot they didn't serve with frozen mugs.. not only that, it was entirely hot, they need more fans considering this is a barn style bar.

Not too welcoming and the biggest issue I had was its Football Sunday and all the TVs are showing a non local college volleyball game on all TVs. Also, was never asked if I wanted to order food or drinks. Had to reach out and get the attention of the bartender while sitting at the bar. I was going to order a appetizer but decided to just drink my beer and continue my ride. On the positive side their beer was cold. Cool spot but this is Texas, gotta have football on the TVs during football season!!!

Checked this place out because of the reviews and the menu posted. Once we arrived the menu was more limited. We had fried pickles, a burger, and the chicken cheese steak sandwich. They were ok but nothing special, the burger had no flavor. Our appetizer took about 45 mins and the rest took another 30 mins despite there not being many people. Looks like the night vibes would be nice but I wouldn't recommend lunch.

Worst food I've ever had at very high prices! The ribeye is not ribeye it's a sirloin tip chili powder all over it. I have stomach cramps and felt sick all night long!

So let me start off with saying I love the burgers here. That being said I stopped in on my lunch break to grab a bite. Place was not busy at all, seated myself as the signs instructed and waited for 45 minutes. Not a single person came up to take my order or even say hi. Ended up having to leave hungry because I ran out of time for lunch. Terrible experience. Place should hire people that can see a customer walk in lol This is coming from someone who has lived at the lake for 6 years and eaten at this place multiple times.

The food wasn't worth the price to say the least. I don't believe it's ribeye steak at all. I think it's some cheap sirloin tips. The mashed potatoes are not flavorful and who puts chili powder in their mashed potatoes?! I don't see this in the reviews which makes me wonder if the reviews are done by people who work there? I'll never come here again!

By far the worst food we have had in years. The ribeye mashed was so hard to even choke down. The Meat so incredibly overcooked I could barely chew it. I couldn't even finish it it was so bad. Then the chicken fried ribeye was even worse and ever more overdone than the mash. Cool place and atmosphere, but fear god do not eat there.

I am from Australia and was looking forward to karaoke here Unfortunately the DJ would not let my man who has been a long term patron sing even though we arrived at 7pm which was advertised as start time...he told us we would not be able to sing until 3 weeks because of competition but somehow himself managed to sing 3 songs He rambled a lot about cocaine as well and the night was pretty bad listening to him make jokes about the karaoke singers singing... We were able to finally sing one song together and I asked the DJ if my man can sing and he said probably not so it seemed a waste of time being there Competition or not, there was even two of the wait staff who got to sing over us, the paying patrons... probably not a cool way to treat patrons. Sad the DJ was discriminating towards us...at least that is how it felt. The wait staff was slow as they didnt appear to have enough people on the job. Disappointing considering my man was a long time patron who participated in karaoke and spent his money here regularly, he had told me what a great place for karaoke but that was not our experience on this night. I thanked u for having us but I had intended to say that we didn't have a good time because of not being able to join karaoke I doubted that I would be heard though.

Paid $50 after tip for the mash and tip entrees to be the size of a small side. Very disappointing.

Went to this place after the cancer benefit, they ran out of food, couldn't communicate what they did or didn't have food wise, I paid for food, checked on it. Only to be told they ran out. Then when the cancer benefit started at 7 they closed the kitchen. So less then impressive. When I did get my food it was good. Just had to wait forever with all the uncoordination

Atmosphere was great, but food and service were not good. Service was slow, and food was incorrect, missing dressings/ingredients, condiments and entire meals. We ordered everything standard, nothing special. I didn't get my whiskey and ginger until 2/3's of the way through our lunch. The bartender was so slow, had nothing going on, and it took her almost 5 minutes to pour one easy drink. I probably won't come back to this joint. It was probably the worst service I have experienced in a LONG time. Food was sub par at best. We had a party of 9, so, check was high and we always tip 20%. Super disappointing to spend all that money on crappy food and service.

Horrible service, we used to love this place. The new staff is lazy. Also the bartenders added random charges “on accident”. Then forgot to put food order in. We waited 1.5 hrs for food when we were the only people here. The two bartenders were just eating their food the entire time. GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. The old staff used to be great not sure what happened.

This place has gone way down hill. We used to love coming here but not anymore. Staff has changed. They have horrible attitudes and don’t do their jobs correctly. Food was not great and took over an hour to get our food when there one other family here eating. Will not be coming back.

Abysmal service. Ordered food at 5:29pm in a nearly empty establishment, on a Wednesday, and were provided with our food (to go based upon the length of the wait) at 7:12PM. Which is ironic considering the fact that the restaurant becomes a bar at 7pm and we arrived with our 2 year old son at 5pm to avoid that exact issue. Following the posting of my review, the owner of the establishment responded, not with empathy, but to correct me on the timing listed above. What they failed to investigate was, we closed out our tab prior to receiving our order, were forced to take the order to go, and it took an additional 20 minutes following my review to recover said order. The sad reality is and was, it took this establishment well over 1 hour and forty minutes to make a basket of fries, chicken tenders, a Cesar wrap, and chicken wings on a Wednesday evening, in a nearly EMPTY establishment. Justifying the above noted service exemplifies the lack of integrity this owner has. Port quality, poor service, abysmal ownership. No family would voluntarily accept the fact that it will or would take two hours from the time of ordering a meal to receiving said meal. And hey, let’s be Burger King and have it your way - assuming I’m a pathological lier, and you’re correct on the times you posted - you’re telling customers that a wait time of 75 minutes is acceptable for the order of five items, that are not difficult to make, on a tame evening, with minimal other orders sent to your kitchen. 75 minutes - That’s awful Action defects leadership, and your response tells consumers all they need to know. A simple - I apologize, would have done just fine.
