We went within the first few months of their opening and the wait was long. Go before you’re too hungry because you will be by the time you get your food. We’d recommend putting more dining seats in the large waiting area. Our service, food and drinks were awesome and worth the wait. The espresso martini was INCREDIBLE. Will go again.

First time customer to this spot. Was blown away from the amazing customer service from Polo right away. . Bella behind the bar was probably the friendliest poison I've met in oceanside, even in the 4 years I lived here. When my avacado toast was brought out it was too pretty to even want to eat but when I did, holy cow! The flavor was just as amazing as its appearance. Will definitely be making this one of my go-to spots when I visit from here on out😊

Went there for brunch with my boyfriend. We ordered the Brisket Hash, Short Rib Benny, and Kanafee. Everything was super tasty and I would definitely eat here again.

Had an amazing morning at this adorable brunch spot. Our server was David, and he was full of bubbly energy that really made the family feel welcome. The open windows let a lot of natural light in-definitely recommend if you are a plant/nature guru or on a health kick and want good food options!

Our group of 8 enjoyed a warm evening meal on a cold rainy night here. Noah did an outstanding job serving us! The menu is full of new and interesting choices, all delicious. The ambience is cozy and inviting. Daytimes are busy - do yourself a favor and stop in for happy hour, with its own menu items at reduced prices. We'll be back!

The food here is delicious, but definitely expect some dishes to be larger or more elaborate than others. All the French toast, pancake, avocado toast, and benedicts are AMAZING options with larger portions (some enough to share) as that is what "Toast" is known for. The eggs benedict is served on toast (not a traditional English muffin) and is yummy! However, the steak and eggs for example is very small for the money $$, the scrambles are also tiny and look like a side portion of 2 eggs not a meal (it is not a large skillet scramble you'd find at egg centered restaurants). Mimosas are good, loved the lavender one! Bloody Mary's are not that spicy but still taste good, but you're paying more for the bloody mary toppings and presentation. It gets BUSY and service can sometimes be slow and expected with a crowd, but the staff is all really nice and helpful. Use the waitlist on YELP to get your name on the waitlist before you go there and it gives you a check in time as they don't take reservations. This was super convenient!

Fantastic brunch spot! I’ve been here numerous times and the food is always delicious and quick. The ABC hash is my personal favorite but their chilaquiles is always a good choice. Delicious drinks and fast service, all around great spot.

The search for a brunch and brisket location has been found. Our newest adventure landed us at the doorstep of Toast Gastropub. While the wait was long, it was definitely worth waiting to get in. The food was delicious! Tyler's recommendations steered us to the right meals. I ordered the Elvis French, my mother had the Stuffed French, and my dad ordered the Brisket Hash. Thank you for a wonderful meal!

We had no plans for the morning and decided to get brunch. Food was great, I had a "tart" but it was really just a Flatbread. But the flavors were good so I can't complain.

Our new fav brunch spot! Everything was perfect! Our server Melanie is excellent at her job. She made us feel doted on and well cared for. We called ahead with a special request from the kitchen and the chef eagerly the agreed. Every staff member we encountered was warm and friendly. I couldn't have asked for a more perfect birthday brunch for my son. Staff went above and beyond! Food was creative and well executed. You seldom find both. I love the decor, music, and those little truffle potatoes! Thank you Toasted Gasttopub!

Delicious food! They also have bottomless mimosas for $25. I need to come back for that. The place itself is super cute :)

Food is good with good portions. A little bit on the expensive side though. A place where you take one for a brunch date.

My husband and I had Saturday afternoon brunch at Toasted and were so pleased with the experience we can’t wait to go again and explore even more of the menu! I do have to mention that this is a popular place in a prime location so be prepared to wait if you’re going during a high volume time. Luckily the beach is a short walk away and they will text when your table is ready. We sat at the bar and the service we received from Pow and Clara was EXCEPTIONAL. It was a full house yet they were so attentive and responsive. I was thoroughly impressed. Toasted has several brunch drinks to choose from including varieties of bloody Mary’s, Bellinis, and mimosas. I went with the mimosas, with the flavors including lavender lemonade, creamsicle, prickly pear, and hibiscus. Unfortunately these are not offered as a flight so I had a prickly pear mimosa and a hibiscus mimosa. For those of you with a palette like mine, fruity and sweet, you should go with the prickly pear. For our meal, we split the smoked salmon toast, my husband had the ABC Hash and I enjoyed the Green Eggs No Ham. All three of our dishes were delicious! My favorite was Smoked salmon toast and I’m looking forward to trying each of the 7 other varieties in the future. We also split the coconut pistachio kanafee, which admittedly was not our favorite. I think we were expecting something more like French toast, but it was actually salty and savory. We also had it to-go which might have affected its flavors. Maybe this dish is best served immediately? All in all, I loved this place and will be back, perhaps even as a “regular”.

It is my first time coming here and I was served by Saul. I had such a wonderful exeperience and would definitely come back! Saul was extremely attentive and very very patient. Not just with me but with the surrounding tables as well. He was diligent and very kind. The food was amazing! I ordered the Short Rib Benny and wow, the food was incredible. The bennys were just right and the hash potato balls were yummy! Thank you Saul and the kitchen staff! Everything was delicious!

Incredible food! We split the chiliquilis and the flavor was excellent, the portion size was plenty even split. John Paul was our server, lots of refills, attentive and funny! Highly recommend if you're in the area on a beach trip.

Where do I even begin? This place is a must try! The atmosphere is beautiful especially for a brunch. The service is great, but the food is even better! I had the most kind, spunky, & friendly waitress ever (unfortunately I can't remember her name but if this sounds like you- come forward! Think- "hicibus" instead of "hibiscus" ). I ordered the Southern Fried Benny- "crispy chicken, cheddar cornbread, garlic spinach, with a béchamel over poached eggs topped with scallions." Absolutely delicious. The potato bites it came with were cute & trendy, but tasted dry! I would have went with classic home fries/country potatoes instead. The mimosas are pretty & colorful, and they offered bottomless for only $25. I will certainly come here again & recommend this place to friends. If you're searching for a perfect brunch spot in Oceanside, look no further- you've just found it.

I'm not sure whether Toast is a chain or not but this place is magical in achieving something that no other diner nor American cuisine delivers. It manages a creative top-notch diner-style menu in an above-average farm/cabin atmosphere, with generous portions and actually great ingredients. Let me explain. You go to a Dennys or iHop, you have delicious sounding pancakes or Frenchtoast or other breakfast favorites, but when they come out, the bread isn't fluffy and the sausages are thing and crinkled. Also you start thinking about the cleanliness and the quality of even the coffee. Toast delivers innovative and original takes on pancakes, Frenchtoast and more. And the pancakes are actually thick and fluffy. Frenchtoast is with an actual brioche. And the sausages are fat and thick and juicy. Yes, Toast costs more than your average diner but no where else will you be able to find a joint maniacally focused on serving a great brunch (the kids go crazy) at a lovely atmosphere. Oh yes, you must try "The Elvis". I won't spoil it for you.

Very cool and original place to have breakfast, brunch or lunch. We were staying at Carlsbad for the week and found this little gem. If you're in Carlsbad, it's a great place to eat. I loved their variety of unique adult drinks and the food was superb!

A PERFECT Sunday morning breakfast joint. Grab a seat at the bar, order an amazing Coffee Martini, and get ready for some of the best breakfast you will find in North County SD! Nikki our bartender was phenomenal and provided some of the best service we received in a long time! Great food, great music, incredible drinks, what more can you ask for?

I have wanting to try this brunch spot for weeks now. Please plan to go early to beat the crowd. I arrived at 8:30 on Sunday morning. Service was impeccable. The establishment felt clean as they blocked off certain tables as “Non-Serve” to follow Covid social distancing guidelines. Definitely a perfect brunch place for family and friends with a beautifully decorated and airy atmosphere. Here are the items I ordered:

Literally the best breakfast I’ve had in such a long time. Elegant dishes and tasty food. Fantastic Bloody Mary! I will for sure be back. I had the hash with pork belly and it was fantastic. My wife had the mimosa flight and ate stuffed French toast which tasted like a cake. She said it was the best French toast she has ever had. The only bummer was that we couldn’t sit outside as there was construction. We will hands down we back!

Friendly staff, no wait if you go when they first open at 8 am.. Love that you can go onto the website and see how long the wait is and put yourself on the wait list! Outdoor dining. Food is amazing! Will definitely be coming back to try something different.

Love this place. Great food and great service. Big fan of the Elvis French Toast. Benedicts are a personal favorite. I get the Cali with Bacon. Breakfast burritos are huge. Irish coffee with Jameson is delicious.

I read reviews for most restaurants when traveling so that I can enjoy the local delights, knowing I may not be back to this area. I read a few reviews and focused on the photos presented. One review said they didn’t know what all the fuss was about, but the photo they shared looked amazing! So, I checked it out. Smoked Salmon toast with capers, fresh dill, pickled onions and a jalapeño cream cheese. Oh. My. Goodness 😍 It was so well prepared. I evenly distributed the additives for every bite. I couldn’t have been more satisfied. I ordered a side of bacon (because you typically can’t go wrong with bacon) & yet again: delish! Thick bacon absolutely wonderful! The ingredients this restaurant uses speaks to the care they provide as well as the design of the layered meal. Thank you for exceptional service, smooth jazz playing in the background and wonderful food!

I am not sure when brunch became this popular - but I seem to be enjoying it much more often that I used to. And the food that we had at Toast Gastropub for yesterday’s brunch was really outstanding. Although there wasn’t a fish I wouldn’t get again, I would say that if you don’t get the French toast, you’ll have missed out.

Very nice place right off of Palomar Airport Rd. Freshly squeezed orange juice complimented the sandwich I had although mimosas and bloody Marys were appealing. Very nice a clean atmosphere shows that the business takes pride in its service and clientele. Funny plug: I needed a pen and bought the check pen from our waitress. Probably an odd question for her but when ya need a pen ya need a pen 🤷🏽‍♂️

After a little wait (thank God for Yelp's waitlist service) we were able to be sat down. Cozy and fast service. We had white peach bellinis that were really tasty. The food was so delicious!! Especially the potatoes that come with breakfast. They are not tater tots but more like potato croquettes. So tasty!!! I had a monte cristo sandwich..it was pretty good but it was more French toast style than fried monte cristo style sandwich. Still good. My daughter had the nutella toast 😋 she loved it.

Delicious food, and great place for brunch or lunch! We tried the duck benny, the mushroom toast, and the smoked salmon toast. All three were amazing, and the duck benny was my favorite by far. All of the food was incredibly fresh and flavorful, and the atmosphere was fun and original. And the candied apple that comes with the duck benny was a nice bonus, as I ended up saving it as a snack for later.

I like the decor. Nice music, but you can still hold a conversation. The staff was nice and the food was absolutely outstanding. I had the Elvis Toast, and I want the kitchen staff to know I Loved everything about it. It felt like I was served by a world-class chef.

My partner and I typically do a Sunday brunch every week. We try to try new places every week, but we’ve been here three times just because the drinks and food are so good. The prices are very reasonable, specialty mimosas are $11 and the cocktails are all $13. I’ve had one of almost everything and the lavender lady is probably my favorite. I usually always get the stuffed French toast combo, and I can’t recommend it enough! The passion fruit caramel is divine and I scrape my plate clean every time. It’s so good! We do a few drinks, that’s why our meal was a little more. The staff are all friendly, I have yet to have a negative experience here. You do want to use the yelp waitlist. We didn’t once and waited about 45 minutes to sit. But this last time it told us to check in by 1:07, we got there at 12:55 and checked in, we weren’t expecting to be seated, but they had a table ready right then. It get very busy, every single table is usually occupied til close, so there is a wait time for things, but it’s nothing ridiculous.

What an amazing breakfast spot! Everything is so special! If you're not too concerned about your cholesterol and/or once you have a cheat meal, then you have to try their ABC hash. It was out of the world delicious yumminess in my mouth. The pork belly was cooked just right. It also came with two eggs, cooked to your style. I thoroughly enjoyed this. Text Colin you would most likely want to share this with your friend. Then we also ordered red velvet pancake. It was quite special. It tasted almost like nothing bundt cake but in a pancake form. I think next time I will try their stuffed French toast. Came here on the weekday at breakfast time. No wait. Will definitely come again! Dog-friendly patio for the win!!!!

Stopped in here as I was on vacation in California. The staff members were pleasantly nice & very polite. We ordered a bunch of different things on the menu to try. The food was pretty good! Great portions and very fresh! We had a little issue with our cheeseburger, we didn’t want bacon on it and it came out with bacon. We asked the server if they can change the burger out and they did but we came to find out they just removed the bacon off the burger and missed a strip under the lettuce. I didn’t like that at all and we ended up only taking one bite out the burger. The restaurant refunded us for the burger but didn’t seem very concerned about it. But overall great experience with the other food.

We love this place! This is going to be our new breakfast hangout!!!! We dined out to celebrate our beloved friend and glad we picked Toasted Gas 😁 They put us on the wait list for 11 people over the phone & seated us immediately when we got there. Hostess and Cody were amazing with our fur baby! Gave him water and bacon 🥓 😋 Lucky was in heaven! Maddie, our server, provided excellent customer service during Sunday brunch rush with many orders from our tables and she kept our drinks full and ☕️ hot and always with a smile on her face. Maddie was very kind! The food portions were huge for every dish!

Lovely Sunday brunch to celebrate my birthday. The Cali Benedict was scrumptious and the bloody mary was delish. Service was a little slow due to a server calling out last minute so the manager waited on us and was very gracious. Great place to go for a nice breakfast!

Coming from a kids soccer tournament with 15 people including children on a Sunday during brunch was going to be a challenge. They handled it great and got us seated right away! Not a fan of the Bloody bit the smoked Brisket hash was wonderful! The whole team got fed and the parents were satisfied. Great service!

Stress free brunch on a Sunday morning made easy by yells waiting list. We put our name down and walked there and waited maybe an extra 15 mins before we were seated. The place has great outdoor seating, socially distant diners we’re enjoying their meals. My wife for the stuffed French toast which was really good with the passion fruit syrup. I got the Eggs in Purgatory which was also really good but I hardly got any pork belly. Dave our server was very attentive. I’m giving a 4 stars because the pork belly was so good and the amount they gave me did not leave me satisfied. Edit: Came back for the Kanafeh. Automatic 5 stars.

We sat outside, on a beautiful sunny day.. perfect weather 👌🏼 They have Pretty drinks! (Apologies for my bad videos.) We tried all the flavors of mimosas . Food was fire. Service was great, and we got a complementary sundae to share. Overall wonderful experience. Our total check was higher because both me and my bestie got 3 glasses. 🤷🏻‍♀️

Loved Toasted Gastropub this morning!! Started with some mimosas. My wife got the flight. Great variety of flavors. Hibiscus was too sweet for her, but I loved it. We had the monte cristo, Benedict and the stuffed French toasted. Amazing flavors and textures. I typically eat about 1/2 of my breakfast and have leftovers, but the stuffed toasted was so tasty, I killed the whole thing. The blackberries were so huge and tasty. And it was great sitting outside watching all of the peeps coming and going.

10 minutes away from Legoland. Filled up before having a full day of fun! With all the great reviews I was expecting packed lot. I guess it was too early since parking was plentiful when we arrived at 8am. Parking: check! We were 2nd customers. By 8:40am though, the place was starting to fill up with mostly guests with children. Maybe they were going to Legoland too lol. The place was very inviting, very clean. You can clearly see that they have made an effort to make even the outside seating very comfortable. We chose to dine inside since this was our first time. The place was filled with interesting wall decor and even a giant replica of a cow. The cow looked friendly so that’s that. The greeter was nice, very professionals & polite. She seated us right by the window (1/2 booth seats and ½ regular seats) which was what we would have asked for. They read our minds. Good sign. She didn’t wear a mask but we were all vaccinated except the little guy but she was distanced enough from him when taking our order so no issue there. I’m sure management would have put rules in place because some folk behind the bar were wearing theirs. No issue here. We drove 1hr 15min from Diamond Bar area so that was quite a drive after chugging a full hydro flask of water. The bathroom…. Was so clean! So very happy to see this because cleanliness is very important to us, esp this time of Covid and all. So cleanliness: check! Our server was very pleasant, and I feel bad I forgot her name but she was wearing black glasses. Service was awesome. That’s another check mark too. And the food? Super awesome! Super big check mark there. My meal was the Bacon Benny (2 perfectly poached eggs on English muffins, with thick cut bacon strips, hollandaise sauce and a drizzle of balsamic reduction yum!) that came with Parmesan Truffle Potatoes (round potato puffs that were crunchy on outside and really soft and perfectly salted mashed potatoes inside). It was a perfect pair. That was my $16 meal. Best part, a QR code was provided on the receipt for paying so it was definitely a contactless payment process for us. If that’s not your cup of tea, you can pay the traditional way as well. It’s a nice and efficient digital way to pay. I like that. We also got the afrench Toast Combo with bacon ($15), the Green eggs no ham with fruit ($17), and the mini me plate for the little guy ($8). Reasonably priced meal for 4… that’s a check mark too. A must recommend place for families esp if you have kids. Will definitely come back and tell friends to stop by and try the rest of the menu.

Our waitress never let our bottomless mimosas run dry! Great service at a cute spot. Be ready for a wait on the weekends. There were some issues with the text notification system when our table was ready but the hostess made sure we were seated. The avocado toast bread was so fresh and delicious! I would definitely recommend and I will absolutely return.

Amazing place. We arrived during happy hour (3-6pm) on Valentine's day and there was no wait. They had select items 50% off. Normally the food items sold during happy hour are smaller portions at bars and restaurants. Not here! Full sized happy hour portions! We ordered the salt and pepper wings and the barbacoa tacos. The wings were big and had a crisp that you don't normally find on wings. Great flavor too. The tacos were MASSIVE and filled with meat. The service was fast and the waitress was polite and friendly. It's a beautiful location right next to the beach. The donut shop nextdoor is lovely as well! We will definitely be coming again.

I randomly decided to try this place out because we needed breakfast on the go anD WOW i was not expecting to love it this much. I went for the Elvis Presley Stuffed French toast and the Santa Fe Scramble. Both items were delicious and i enjoyed them very much. The potato’s need some salt for my liking but nothing ketchup can’t fix. The salsa in the scramble was actually kinda spicy and i loved it. The French toast was REALLY good but my only complaint is the bacon was way too hard to cut through. Regardless is was delicious

The service was great and fast. Everyone was lovely and the food was deliishh. The only thing was that I didn’t like was the potato balls because of the truffle in them. It was too potent in my opinion, but if that’s something you enjoy I’d suggest trying them. Other than that all else was awesome. The Benedict’s were so so good. It’s the southern ones. The bread they use is a cornbread and I loved it sm!

Delicious food and excellent service. The service the bartender provided was super nice, he shared a couple of samples of drinks he was making for others which made us feel welcomed as he knew we were tourists. The hosts were also very welcoming.

This place is 5 stars overall! Came here for my brother's birthday, and they gave him some kind of ice cream/beverage... I'm not really sure what it is, BUT my brother enjoyed it. The menu is very diverse, and the food was delicious 😋 call ahead to make reservations. We went on a Sunday for brunch, and the place was packed. Worth the visit and the wait if you're in the area!

Delicious brunch and bottomless mimosas in beautiful Oceanside, what else can you ask for? Short rib benedict: Get Hearty and savory, it's a comforting spin on a brunch favorite. It's kind of heavy though. It comes with truffle potatoes which are so crispy and so fluffy Bottomless mimosas: Get If you have some time to kill and you have the tolerance, this is a good time. Over the span of a couple of hours, our server kept our glasses topped off. Maybe a little it too well.... Food: 7/10 Service: 9/10 Atmosphere: 9/10 Value: 7/10

I came here without high expectations, but I found all the food to be absolutely delicious. The pork in the ABC hash was tasty, the steak was excellent, and the potatoes were also delicious. The salmon toast had a strong dill aroma and was slightly spicy. My family is very satisfied.

One of the best breakfasts we've had in awhile. We had the "eggs in purgatory" and the smoked salmon toast. Sooo yummy! The presentation was beautiful without sacrificing taste. The service was also great. Our 2 year old started crying shortly after we were seated and a staff member, possibly the manager, asked if our son would like some fruit with whipped cream to help settle him. Viola! No more crying toddler :) It was a very kind gesture. I wish I would have gotten his name but that was awesome. It's not always easy eating out with a toddler but we felt welcomed rather than feeling like an nuisance. We'll definitely be back!

We took our Marine daughter here for brunch while visiting. The server was very pleasant and attentive. The food was excellent, we had the lobster Benny, Southern fried chicken Benny, and smoked brisket hash. Monday through Friday they have buy one Mimosa and get the second for $1. At least when we went.

We hit up Toasted Gastrobrunch in Oceanside several times while in Oceanside, and wow—what a spot! The place has a bright, welcoming atmosphere with cozy indoor seating and a sunny patio that's perfect for people-watching in downtown Oceanside. Service was quick and friendly even on a busy holiday morning. Monte Cristo — Crispy, golden, and stuffed perfectly, with the sweet-savory balance and powdered sugar dusting. Chicken and Waffles — The chicken was super crispy and juicy, waffles fluffy, and hot sauce syrup drizzle. Genius move. Steak and Eggs — Steak cooked right, eggs over easy, and those potatoes on the side. Eggs Benedict — Classic but elevated—perfectly poached eggs, rich hollandaise that wasn't too heavy. ABC Hash — Avocado, pork belly, cheddar, potatoes, topped with two up eggs. The pork belly was melt-in-your-mouth tender, creamy avocado balanced the richness, and everything came together so well. Portions are generous too! Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and clearly made with care. Coffee was strong and hot, and we loved the little touches like house-made jams. Great value for the quality—definitely worth it if you're in the area craving elevated brunch. We'll be back for sure, maybe to try the smoked salmon toast or kanafee next time!

My wife and I had a lot of guests coming from out of town and decided to host a 'welcome party' the night before our wedding at Toasted Gastrobrunch. We were so appreciative of the staff who helped make the night a special night for both of our families. The venue was very easy to work with leading up to the event and were clear about billing and options (food, drinks). On the day of, we brought some small decorations that they helped set up and they were extremely responsive whenever we asked for a favor. Also, my wife gave a small speech during the event and the manager recorded it for us without asking, helping us to preserve the moment which we greatly appreciated. We have also ate at the restaurant for a normal brunch and would highly recommend!

Let me start by that this place is special! The food is unique and full of flavor. This is my 2nd visit. As I finish my meal, I feel as though every aspect was thoughtfully and artfully composed by an incredible and well-trained chef! We had the eggs in purgatory, the salmon toast and the potato balls! All was excellent! Now, for the service... The manager, Cody, made sure our experience was perfect. He went out of his way to ensure we were comfortable. Even though he has never seen us before, he made us feel appreciated as a friend would! Justice was our server. She was very friend and attentive. Not a drop off your food and desert you type. Our coffee cups never emptied before she would check on us. For a busy restaurant that is amazing! The restaurant was clean and comfortable, maintaining the high bar this place sets!

This review is long overdue, but we couldn’t go without sharing how amazing our experience was at Toasted Gastrobrunch! A few months before our wedding in June, the original restaurant we planned to host our rehearsal dinner closed, and we spent days searching for a new venue. We reached out to so many places near our reception site, and thankfully, we messaged Toasted Gastrobrunch! Cassandra responded so promptly and was incredibly helpful from the start. They were able to accommodate our group of about 90–100 people, and honestly, it turned out to be the best surprise — a true silver lining! Cassandra, Cody, and the entire staff were amazing. They even created a custom menu for us that offered a mix of Italian and American food outside of their usual brunch menu, which our guests absolutely loved. We were also able to have the restaurant to ourselves, which made the evening feel extra special and intimate. Everything exceeded our expectations — the buffet was plentiful, the drinks were great, and the restaurant itself was spacious and comfortable for all our guests. After dinner, we ended up dancing the night away with even more friends and family who were in town for the wedding, and it was such a perfect way to kick off the weekend! If you’re looking for a reception venue or a restaurant to host your large party, look no further — Toasted Gastrobrunch is it! Thank you, thank you, thank you for helping make our wedding weekend so special! — The Garcias

BELIEVE THE 5-STAR REVIEWS! OMG... Toasted Gastrobrunch is definitely on my regular restaurant rotation now. It's highly recommended by Yelpers far and wide, as a brunch enthusiast I can verify this is a phenomenal place. I heard great things about the A-B-C Hash (Shoutout to our friend Audrey the Yelp CM who recommended this dish) so I had to try it! I ordered it with a side of rosemary sourdough and oof, it was an other-worldly experience. The avocado was perfect, I typically don't eat avo but this place changed my mind. Everything from the potatoes, meat, and eggs was fresh and premium quality. We tried a flight of mimosas (pear, lavender, etc.) and they had a good amount of alcohol. The flight glasses were mini-size, so we got some extra soft drinks just in case. Service was a little wonky, we didn't have too many check-ins from our waitress. Our drinks didn't get refilled regularly, that was a little troubling. We just got a lazy vibe from some of the staff. Thankfully, this didn't ruin the experience, but we'd appreciate better service next time! I WILL give kudos to a gentleman from the staff who sent away a homeless dude who was about to start stuff. He tactfully handled the situation, and called security without causing a disruption for guests. The restaurant was trendy, but it never felt like it was trying too hard. It was a cool place, I enjoyed the outdoor patio ALOT! I definitely like the comfortable brunch atmosphere. Oh, and their kitchen is stunning, I love getting to see the chefs in action! Note: I checked on their Yelp page, they have a Yelp waitlist!! Be sure to secure your slot!

OMG! Fabulous food and drink. Green Eggs and Denver Scramble for amazing as well as the company in post on both. Prickly pear sour and Mimosa White or even better than I had expected. Definitely a place to visit again!

Stopped for brunch on a Monday, and we were able to sit in a patio. They didn’t mind us (just a party of two) occupying a larger table since it was Monday. We ordered our food and flights of mimosas. The food and drinks came out without waiting too long. We shared our food, eggs in purgatory and smoked salmon, and i enjoyed them very much. Both dishes were spicy, just how I like them! The workers were friendly and efficient. We found a street parking spot with ease as it was a weekday.

The atmosphere is amazing. I love that they are extremely dog friendly. Our wait Saul was excellent! He took great care of us. We did patio seating since we brought our dog but dogs are allowed for indoor seating. Hubby ordered the monster bBoody Mary and I had the white peach belini. Both were a 10. The kids ordered the chocolate chip pancakes combo. Both had mix reactions. Both said the pancakes were a 9 but the sausage was different. My oldest sone rated it a 10 and my other son rates it a 7. Hubby got the lobster scrambled. The potato balls is so good and he said the scrambled was a 9. I got the basic pancake combo with bacon. The pancakes were super fluffy and the bacon was soo good. We will be back just to try other things on the menu. If you are in the area, please give it a try.

Great spot for brunch. Never seen so many unusual options for their mimosa flight. Love love love it! I selected the classic and the lavender vanilla, and I asked our server to select the other 2 for us. We got prickly pear and lemon. This place also has a full bar so brunch cocktails in addition to mimosas. I had the stuffed French toast and my partner had the smoked salmon toast with egg. Both were just delicious. There’s something for everyone on their menu. We were seated almost immediately on a busy Sunday morning. Our server was kind and attentive. Plenty of places to sit depending on your mood and needs: outdoor, indoor, community tables, and private tables.

We were there for late 10ish breakfast on Tuesday and had the place to ourself, see the video. Melanie was our server and was top notch and fun!! Had a relaxing time because of her. We have been here before and were pleased as always. We ordered the avocado toast, a meal in itself. A side of bacon which includes many thick strips. I had the be Eggs Benedict with potato balls. All were delicious. As always service and food was the best. I highly recommend, especially if you get Melanie ad a server.

Mimosa flight creamsicle was delicious as was the mango. I could’ve drank those all day long. I wasn’t a fan of the hibiscus or pear or the lavender but others I was with did enjoy those flavors. I also got the cucumber morning drink as well. It was crisp and refreshing! I got the grilled cheese and added bacon. I expected a lot more from it and was disappointed when it was it wasn’t toasty or crispy. The bacon was very tough on the inside. I wouldn’t recommend getting it. The fries were good though. We also got some truffle fries and really enjoyed those. We were there for a party and also got the insane messy sundae as dessert. That was delicious and totally worth getting! It had a lot of chocolate but good ratio of caramel, ice cream and nuts! Honestly, we were a big group and the service they provided to us really brought my rating up to 4 stars after my disappointment on the entree.

This place is highly recommended!! This is a unique brunch experience. Ambiance was very soothing. We sat on the high table near the kitchen and was able to see what goes In the kitchen. The service was excellent as the server was very attentive and constantly came by either to refill our waters or ask if there was anything else we needed. Remember to check in for the free Avocado toast. The presentation of the food was amazing! We ordered the southern fried chicken Benny which had a poached egg on top of the fried chicken on top of the cheddar cornbread. It was tasty although I felt the fried chicken was kind of dry. It also came with truffle potato balls. We also ordered the stuffed French toast which was delicious. If I were to order this again, I will probably tell them to be light on the caramel syrup as I felt that was a bit sweet. That dish also had an amazing presentation. There maybe a line during the weekends, but it is worth the wait.

Came here for a lunch double date and everyone had a good time. Have to get on the wait list because it was for brunch on a Saturday but the table was ready at the exact expected time. Nice cozy atmosphere inside and everything was very aesthetic including the food. Coffee latte was really delicious. Ordered it with nonfat milk and sugar-free vanilla syrup. Really delicious and smooth and creamy and nice overall. Husband and I split the veggie hash and the lobster toast. The Veggie Hash with Egg Whites; It was a good portion of food and quite flavorful with the goat cheese and the Chipotle pesto and all the vegetables in there. Really good balance of flavor and all the ingredients went well together as well. Lobster Toast was decent too. Love the rosemary sourdough on the bottom and a good amount of avocado and lobster and bacon on top. The corn was a nice touch. I needed It to be a little more spicy so ask for some crushed chili flakes on the side. That really took to another level and completed the dish. Friends got the Brisket Hash and the Crispy Chicken Sandwich and they both enjoyed the food as well. That sandwich was finished really quick! Got the Rosemary bread along with that brisket hash and she said the plain bread was delicious as well. They also ordered the IPA beer and espresso martini (Martini was the recommendation of the server and they seemed to like it).

Toasted Gastrobrunch in Oceanside is home to some great plates and some great servers. Alyssa was an amazing server that made sure to keep us updated and make sure our drinks were full. The atmosphere of Toasted was Gorgeous and Modern. The food itself was good but doesn't do anything over the standard offering around. The price is a little steep for the servings you get and doesn't wow me enough to consider coming back.

Solid 4 star experience! I had the fried chicken Benedict and an Irish Coffee. Service was pretty solid but, for the number of people behind the bar, the counter should have been much cleaner. Definitely would recommend!

Busy as one would expect on a Sunday by the sea. I was able to check in online and table was ready upon arrival. Food was good and very nicely presented. The restaurant is a beautiful spot to have a meal.

We went here on a weekend mini-road trip. The good: The food and the drinks are great. I felt like their food presentation and ideas were very creative. See the photos for more details. We had Eggs in Purgatory and the Sheimp and Grits. Highly recommend both. It was hard to decide, so many good options. But, I am giving a four-star because we put our name down and it took twice as long as they estimated. I also have a suspicion that the person who is calling the names skipped us by accident. But also when we got in the server was nice but barely came over to check on us. It took a long time for us to put in our order and to get our check. Oh that being said. I do feel that they are a well organized establishment. I still do recommend calling ahead and putting your name down. Usually it helps saves 10 or 15 minutes. Like any other brunch place be aware that the weekends are pretty crowded, either go early or go late and avoid prime time.

Food was good but still felt like the food was missing something. Service could definitely be a little better. Wagyu sliders tasted like regular ground beef. All in all decent food

Nice breakfast place. With a great selection of food. But for me was sad that they doesn't have oat milk for the coffee. They offers me almond milk, but it was sweetened

The quality of the ingredients of this food in this restaurant was not completely worth the expensive price. The food did taste good, but it didn't "wow me" for the price that was given. Our service was amazing, and our waiter was very attentive and friendly. The atmosphere of the restaurant felt luxurious with the arches and scenery. Overall, not a bad place.

Good gluten-free brunch meals, excellent servers, and a so-so location to eat when the doors are open. Our huevos rancheros and shrimp and grits were both good, but not outstanding. The grits were excellent, the shrimp were I er cooked and tough, so we lost a bit of the flavor overchewing. HR a a good portion of meat over a nice bed of chips, we were missing the flavor. Adding some fresh salsa and Aoili helped. If the doors are open you will quickly realize what the table helicopters are for, you will be bombarded by flies while you eat. Ask for the table farther from the open door, let the flies find the closer guests before they reach your table.

The food was really excellent. I had the breakfast burrito, and others at my table had the Denver-ish scramble and the Green Eggs and No Ham. Everything was very good. The burrito was really well balanced and the green salsa was delicious. The service was just ok. We had to ask for a coffee refill three times before getting it, and when I asked about the salsas for the burrito, the server said she would bring both out for me to try so I could decide. Very nice of her, but never followed through. The burrito came out with green and it was great, but just a lot of little misses like that on the service.

Toasted was the perfect heavy duty brunch after a hard workout. The menu is so extensive that we’ll be coming back several more times just to try everything! Their bread is locally sourced and each of their menu items are thoughtfully created. It’s a great spot in downtown Oceanside to grab a bite before heading to the beach!

This place is pretty good, when we got there we got put on the wait list, we waited about 30 min before we got a table. The staff is nice and very attentive. The food was great and the portions are huge my husband and I couldn't finish our plates. The only thing I didn't like is the flies and bees flying around. However I know that's because they open the glass wall that separates the outside and inside so all the bugs fly in.

M

Food was amazing. Service was great, although a little slow, but mostly due to the high traffic time we went. Open air area and a great spot that is a short walk away from the beach.

The shrimp and grits were okay. The shrimp had good flavor but was not impressed with this dish. Had it better at other restaurants. The good ole Benny was good but the hollandaise sauce made the dish cold. The potato balls were good. The kids had the stuffed french toast and the Elvis French toast and both were delicious.

Great location for brunch! Lots of seating inside and many seats on the patio with fire pits in the middle of the tables. Service: Our party of 5 took a while to be seated since apparently there were a couple of servers that called out sick and staffing was short. Knowing this, we gave our server some grace and were patient in waiting. Unfortunately, whenever we did ask for something, it felt like we were bothering him. Regardless, food came out within 10-15 minutes. Food: -Coffee Cake Cakes ($14.5): perfect enough to share with the table. Comes with 3 large pancakes and it wasn’t too sweet -Spanish Churros ($12): also shared with the table. Churros were crispy and pretty good! -Lobster Toast ($20): some pictures didn’t do it justice but this is one big toast that was very filling! There were far more bacon bits than lobster though. -Short Rib Benny ($22): my husband enjoyed this dish. Comes with round truffle potatoes which were tasty. Overall: Very cute brunch place at a nice location. Next time, I’d wanna try out their mimosa flights!

This is one of the ones that I wanted to be great, and was just mid. They were unfortunately understaffed this day. On good note: Our waitress was awesome and they did everything they could to rectify our displeasure. The atmosphere is great and they have tons of fun options. I would definitely try it again. My husband loved the shrimp and grits, (cleaned his plate) but he said he wished it was a little bit more southern style with some spice. My son also cleaned his chicken and pancakes plate. He really liked the hot sauce syrup😜 Challenges: Our coffee was cold and even colder on the second round. the Cali Benny with also cold and the Elvis French toast was missing the bacon.

This brunch place was okay. The service was great and cocktails were alright. Nothing I ate besides the pancakes stood out to me. I thought the potato balls were dry and my egg dish was simple tasting.

Solid dog friendly brunch location in Oceanside. We didn't make reservations and put our names on the wait list on a Saturday at 11 for 2 people and ended up waiting less than 20 mins. We arrived right before the greatest rush from what we could see in table turnover. Service from our server was good when they popped by, but more than once we had to get up to ask for standard things: silverware, napkins, condiments. Food & Drinks -Loaded Bloody Mary and a mimosa flight. Bloody Mary was more "stuff" than actual drink, but flavor was good, Not too spicy. If you're not a fan of all the extras goodies like olives or a grilled peppers, I'd stick with the classic. The mimosa flight was a good value considering the cost of one mimosa. Ordered the pineapple, orange vanilla (got a full size), prickly pear, and lavender lemonade. The lavender and pineapple were most enjoyed from the flight. -Ordered the classic eggs Benedict and the short rib Benedict. Portions were decent considering the area and the dishes were just okay overall. The poached eggs were perfect, but the stars were the potatoes on the side. We also ordered one of the cinnamon roll pancakes to share. It was sweet enough not to need syrup. Things to keep in Mind -This place stays busy! If you can wait until 1pm to go, it significantly slows down. Being a 5 minute walk from the Pier and Top Gun house be prepared to wait for a table if you walk in., They do seem to have multiple tables permanently capable of seating 8 people, so if you're group is a bit bigger you should be fine. -Dog Friendly. The patio table mostly have shade so your dogs should be comfortable. we saw them bring water bowls, but I would recommend having a cooling mat/something for them to lay on just in case the patio concrete is warm. -Table location. As a party of two we knew we would have a small table (not an issue). We could have been seated right away at the bar if wanted, but chose to wait. Unfortunately one of the only patio adjacent 2 seater tables (to the left of entrance) butts up to the server station. So the lovely scent of trash wafted its way over from the open trash can behind one of our chairs. Being so busy there were no other tables available without an additional wait. Similarly the larger 6-8 people tables on the patio have some shade via umbrellas, but they won't be mostly shaded,.

We got there early so it's not crowded. Been heard of this brunch spot and finally checked it out. The food & service are alright, like other brunch places. It's nothing special. Probably it's best if you have small children & offers family-friendly vibe.

It would've been a great experience overall, but please do something about the flies. Way too many flies buzzing around my food and being a constant nuisance. 3 flies on my table alone, with easily half a dozen flying overheard while eating, thats unacceptable

Came on a Sunday and it was packed! We sat at the bar so we could get in otherwise there was an 1 1/2 wait. Not a huge selection of beer on tap but they have some nice cocktails. I had the lavender champagne cocktail and it was ok. To eat hubby had the pancakes w/ eggs and bacon. Pretty standard however the bacon was delicious. Could have been cooked slightly longer to get more of a crisp but the taste made up for cook on them. I had the eggs Bennie with Canadian bacon. These were not up to my standard. First off the eggs were way u deer cooked. The whites should be foodies enough that you don’t get the snotty looking eggs 😖 And the hollandaise sauce? Well I don’t know what type of sauce they used but it wasn’t anything close to resembling a hollandaise sauce. Maybe in the US their hollandaise is something different?? The round potato “fries” were quite good. The inside was smooth like whipped potatoes.

So my review is a 3-4 Stars based on a couple of visits. On my first visit I sat at the bar facing the kitchen. I enjoyed that experience more than I did sitting at one of the tables in the dining area. I originally wanted to eat the French Toast and I ask the server what she would recommend. So with her recommendation I ordered the ABC Hash and a glass aka small bottle of prosecco. That was delicious. The pork belly was soft and tasty and they do not skimp on the pork belly. I highly recommend this dish. With that experience it was definitely a 5 STARS. I returned raving about this new hot spot to my roommate but left a little disappointed. That experience was more a 2-3 Stars. I ordered the Southern Fried Chicken with Pancakes amd my Roomie ordered the Bacon Benny. I would not recommend the chicken and pancakes. The chicken was overly seasoned with salt. I'll be honest that i do love salt on all my dishes but this was BAD. I tried looking for my server several times but he was always no where to be found. It took me 3 times to ask for butter. When he did stop by he asked how we liked our dishes and I said I didn't like mines cause it was extra salty and he said why didn't I tell him. O oh, I didn't tell him cause he was no where to be found and I even told him I'll just pay for my meal since I did ordered it. He did however remove the charge from my bill and I was grateful. Nevertheless, I will still return as the ABC Hash was a good dish.

Came here for breakfast after an event downtown. Location is pretty much in the heart of Oside. Came here about 1030 or so and we sat at the bar. Ordered two drinks and two meals. Our drinks came quickly but the meal took forever. A burger and a blt. Asked for ranch and some sides from the guy who delivered our food and he said ask the bartender 🤷🏽‍♀️ Food Wasn’t that good 🫤 i would probably never come back again because the bar was pretty dirty and the service was not good. Food was pricey too. Tbh I think the only reason they get business is from the tourist. Only gave a three star rating because the drink was pretty good

Great location! Good food! But they need to work on a few things. First and foremost, I had brunch and ordered an omelet. I can't speak on what the dinner experience would be. Although it was busy, wait time was quick for a party of 3. Regarding food: breakfast is typical for any establishment of this nature. Nothing extraordinary. Pricing is a little higher, but that is expected for a restaurant near the shore. It is a large establishment with approximately 4 bartenders and more than 6 waiters. This facility has a large bar area that seems like it is always busy (although there is no view in the bar area). There is a wonderful outdoor seating area with patio umbrellas available for shade but it comes with a price. Bees!! They were everywhere in the patio area! Now I understand why many people were waiting to be seated inside or near the bar. If you are afraid of bees or allergic to bees, this is not a place for you! Service: Our server was friendly and courteous, but he was overworked. He had difficulty serving all his tables in a timely manner! Our food was late to come out and our drinks were not refilled in a timely manner (by the way, if you don't want to get charged for every refill, which you will, get water and regular coffee). We waited for a while to pay as well.

Dropped off my car for maintenance nearby and have not eaten breakfast. This was the closest place that was open. Ordered ABC hash , coconut pistachio kanafee, and Itialian Lavazza coffee. 1) ABC hash $17.5 1/2 of a potato, 1/8 of avocado, 2 sunny side eggs, 1 ounce of pork belly and a 1.25 inch toasted sliced sourdough halfed. Simply salt and pepper seasoning, and extremely oily. Potatoes were chopped into little thin cubes, and as I crunched through them, I could taste the oil packed in those 2 cm cubes. 2) coconut pistachio kanafee $16 One single slice of 1 inch plain white bread that was only toasted around the sides and edges, and was soaked in syrup. The bread tasted like a slice of bread I would get from a grocery store, plain out of the bag. Coconut flakes was a good choice, however it is just not balanced out. One little bite was like a taking a lot of cotton candy crunching it up into a small piece and eating it up like that. I only took a few bites, picked around to see if I could get a better taste around the edge, but just couldn't. Overly sweet and unbalanced. 3) italian lavazza coffee $3.5 Did not expect it to be only $3.5, only saw the price when I received the receipt. Got a cup of filled cup of coffee, along with another jug of refill, 1 shot glass of milk of your choice whole nonfat or almond, and different packets of sugar for your choosing. Recommend ordering for 2 people if you desire coffee. Review rating was a 4.2, and I hesitated because it was on the lower side, but menu pdf was designed nicely, and opted to give it a try. The outside seating was beautiful, great to sit under the sun on a weekend. Paid a total of $47 including tips. The waitress that served me was very attentive, and checked on me occasionally to see if I needed anything, excellent service. Front desk host was a little awkward, could be more friendly. Would I come again, no. Price range is on the higher side and nothing special. For the price I paid, I could've had an excellent meal elsewhere, and where I would want to take leftovers home.

The shrimp, and grits was good ish. The grits and agges were very tasty, the shrimp was salty, overcooked and not even warm. The green eggs no ham seemed good but the chicken felt and tasted like it was 2 days old, very unpleasant.

We are locals. We have been wanting to try this place. The whole experience took almost 2 hours. The wait was ok. During our wait we viewed the menu. We ordered egg purgatory & the short ribs benidict. Our waitress was nice, but a guy carried the dishes and dropped it on our table. He made zero eye contact when we thanked him. He walked away with zero acknowledgement. I asked for my single egg to be over easy. It was completely dry and cooked The meat on the Short Ribs Benedict lacked seasoning, the fried potatoes honestly could not be consumed because the seasoning was ridiculously salty. We kimdly let the waitress know of the issues . We were not trying to get deal, we just simply wanted her to pass it on. She had mentioned that she had complaints of over seasoning all day with the potatoes. We also had let the waitress know when we ordered that we would be taking home a dessert to try Kunafi. She said she would have it ready. We waited an extra 20 minutes for it. Hopefully we did not waste our money on this too. They did charge us for the potatoes that was not edible. Lastly, I want to mention that there was way too many flies, and the menus were dirty. We will not be back!

Food was subpar. I ordered a denverish scramble and everything was undercooked but the eggs. Meat and peppers could have used a nice caramelization. Velvet pancakes were like an 8 inch round cake just sprinkled with powdered sugar. Nothing special. Bacon was was way too chewy. The shrimp and grits was the only thing worth it. Orange juice was great but $8 for a glass. Coffee was decent. Service was decent. Seating was uncomfortable. I will not be back. Not worth the hype at all.

The decision to visit Toast Gastrobrunch was made based on menu pictures. Do not be deceived by appearances. Everything was okay until the food made it to our tastebuds. The pancakes from “Crispy Chicken and Cakes” were dry and flavorless. The hot syrup was nothing less than a mixture of Tabasco hot sauce and traditional syrup. The scallions, what for? The service was average, the place was loud and the low table did not seem to complement sitting by a window.

We stopped here while traveling and ordered takeout at the bar but were not greeted or helped right away. Another customer who came in behind us was served quickly while we were still left waiting until I asked the host for help. My latte came with foam even though I asked for none, it was not hot enough, and overly sweet. The food was mediocre for the price and I would not recommend coming back.
