This place was great and the food was awesome! Just a couple heads up: The club sandwich is really a turkey sandwich. It isn't a traditional triple decker cut in fourths but was still great. It's also fairly self serve, they'll bring the food out but beyond that you are on your own. Condiments can be found in the condiment bar next to where you order. Neither of these things are necessarily negative though! The staff is awesome, the food is great, and it has a really nice laid back atmosphere.

Even if you don't play golf, this place is worth checking out. Super friendly staff, great food, and once in a while there's kickass live music!

Stopped in here for lunch with my family, to start the girl who took our order was very nice and friendly, you order from the bar and find a seat and they bring over your food. Was on the pricey side, a Patty melt, cheeseburger, basket of fries, beer and bloody Mary was 52 bucks, the food was delicious and might bring me back for a second visit. It was a beautiful view looking out to the finely manicured grounds, now some cons, it was extremely loud inside, which made conversation difficult and the worst part was it was full of middle aged golfers that couldn't stop starring at me and my family, like we infiltrated there secret lair, hey golfer guys it is a public restaurant so take your eyes of me and look someplace else. All in all was a nice lunch

Typically experiences at a the golf course are enjoyable, Ancil Hoffman golf course is a treat and there are no complaints to deliver, but referring to the Main Event restaurant I experienced horrendous treatment on two occasions from the MANAGER who will not be named. Upon entering the restaurant a few weeks ago I was quickly addressed for not having a mask on. A tall man appeared from behind the kitchen with what could be described as a very sharp, whiny tone and disrespectfully exclaimed, " Mask! Sir, Mask!! " In the most disrespectful manner that I was taking back. No asking politely, just a sharp command from who I later learned to be the manager of the Main Event Bar and Grill. A man who is so unhappy with his position and status in life that he belittles customers and overwhelms them with negativity that I have never seen within 10 miles of a decent golf club. Notified was the head pro Asa in the golf shop of his behavior. I never recommend anyone to have an interaction with this man at the Main Event Bar and Grill, and I warn you of his impatience, impoliteness, and flat out disrespect he showed me and many other.Two thumbs down dude. WE know that you're not happy and it's clearly evident. No need to take it out on the customers.
