⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ First time visiting Guicho’s in Carpinteria, CA, and it did not disappoint! I had the Chicken Marsala for lunch absolutely delicious. The portion size was just right, filling without being too heavy. Huge thanks to the cooks; they were fast, efficient, and clearly know what they’re doing. I’ll definitely be back!
I saw Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes coming out of the apparel store next to them as I was enjoying my meal in the outdoor seating area. I said, "Hey, Ryan." And he replied, "What's up, dude." My girlfriend was like, "ohh.. ive seen 'The Notebook'" and she was pleasantly surprised. She had an eggplant sandwich and I had the meatball sandwich. They were good.
Really great food for the price and huge portions. The prawn salad was amazing. Well packaged for takeaway, pasta dishes still warm when we got to our hotel. Recommended.
Bar none! Delicious spaghetti with yyuuggee meatballs to die for! I haven’t had delicious spaghetti with meatballs in a very, very look time like that. The staff were courteous and they were always available. Such an underrated place to eat. Everyone! This is a MUST go there to eat delicious Italian food!
Go here and get the eggplant sandwich, even if your aren't vegetarian and even if you are just visiting Santa Barbara, drive there and get it. Its that memorable. Took a while to arrive at the table but it was worth the wait due the care involved in making this masterpiece. Follow up edit one week later. We went back for the same eggplanty goodness and got the meatball sando too to split. Exceptional too. Its enough food for 3 or 4 people though.
This place is great, and I would highly recommend. The ingredients are high quality and the food is prepared with care. Had the grilled eggplant sandwich, and it was phenomenal. I'm usually not one to gush about veggie options, but this was a memorable sando done right. Salad was super fresh, service friendly and outside seating pleasant. Next time we're back in Carp, will return for more🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟
Super good spot! Conveniently located on Linden. Great staff. Nice environment. Clean restrooms I ordered the meatball sandwich and it was super big! Love the food and outside dining options.
A relatively new eatery along Linden, the main drag of Carpinteria. I had to go find some things in my favorite antique shop Homestead and passed this place on the way. The cooking smells were divine. Decided to go light for dinner and this was an excellent choice. It could have been blah, but it was SO good. Full of fresh yummy flavors. The prices are reasonable ($11 for this dish), the staff was charming. Inside and outside dining.
Very simple but good, not a huge menu which gives them a chance to concentrate on what they serve, I’ve had 3 pasta dishes all perfectly Al dente. Homemade sausage sandwich and grilled chicken salad hit just right.
Seeing others post pics of the Grilled Shrimp Salad made my mouth water, so decided to try it for myself! In short, it TASTED as good as it looked! Super fresh greens, sun dried tomatoes, white beans, and perfectly grilled shrimp! So delicious and only 10.95! This place is a repeat for sure!
I traveled here on vacation from Chicago in early Feb 2020, and discovered this fine restaurant. My 2 main choices were a meatball sandwich, and what could be described as a Philly Cheesesteak offering, and a salad order as well. All of the food was delicious, and I wouldn't hesitate to return here if and when I do revisit this area
This spot was such a wonderful find. We we're traveling a little late and we haven't ever adventured around the little town of Carpinteria. Luckily we drove down the right street as we found Guichos Eatery. I had the portabello sandwich and my wife had the risotto. They nailed both of the dishes, flavors we're on point. Nice staff, really nice decor and atmosphere. Definitely be returning.
I have never ever tasted Fast food Italian style food in my life (and I have went to my fair share of Italian restaurants,) but this place is amazing !! We went for a weekend and we wanted to go to lIl. Dons seafood restaurant &. It was over 1.5 hr wait. We landed here and we got lucky ! Try this place you won’t regret it!!

Absolutely delicious eggplant sandwich!! My friend really loved his meatball sandwich. We both thought the bread was soooo good! The only thing is I wish the eggplant sandwich also came with marinara sauce. Oh! Good prices - great value.
The chopped salad was perfect. Plenty of protein and the best fresh ingredients. The addition of the crunch element from the carrots and chick peas made this salad very hardy. Bravo.
My daughter and I ate here 1st night staying at state beach. She had the fettuccine w/🐔 chicken. I had the shrimp linguine. Both dishes were awesome. The garlic bread is different, not my style. But u can't make everyone happy. Great place, great prices, and great atmosphere. The dude at the record store up the block recommended it to us. Everything was 5 ☆.

Light, airy, high-ceilinged space with statement light fixtures that would intrigue pretentious types who believe themselves to be at the avant-garde of all things lighting+design, but hey, we are here mostly for the food, right? And the food MacReeves and I enjoyed on a quiet Linden Ave Friday night was chef’s kiss if your chef is into simple yet scrumptious seafood pasta that is perfectly sauced and delightfully al dente. The fettuccine was our favorite by a hair because of its luscious yet not heavy cream sauce. The linguine was also delicious and featured shrimp and bay scallops in a light tomato-based sauce. Yummy garlic bread accompanied the pasta in a little paper packet. My regrets about the meal? Even dine-in customers are served food in paper boxes and cups. Aesthetically and ecologically, that’s an unfortunate business decision. Secondly, the shrimp were over-cooked and lost the texture and flavor that could’ve taken both dishes over the top. Finally, the cold garlic bread could use a quick pass through the oven. Small but important details signal to customers that the food and its presentation are as important as your lighting choices. Even so, I will return for yummy pasta. Tab was about $45 before tip for two Pellegrino, a plastic cup of red wine and two pastas. Probably a little steep for counter-order, disposable dishes atmosphere, but not unfair considering the cost of doing business. Service was pleasant and efficient.
Delicious sandwiches. I had the sausage and would order it again. Homemade sausage!!! The staff was sitting on the floor when I entered, then quickly stood up when they saw me. They were not very helpful with my questions. There is no kids menu. The furniture is set up weird and you have to order at the counter. I'd sit outside for the best atmosphere.
I like the family dining atmosphere except the to go boxes. I feel like not tipping when I get my food in a box and family style. The food is always fresh and tasty at a fair price. Great for take away.

First time there and I really enjoyed it. I did not anticipate how much I would enjoy this place. I had the lasagna and thought it was wonderful. It's a very casual restaurant but the food is very good.
The food is an insult to your taste buds. The sauce was all water, the tomatoes were flavorless, and the pasta completely limp... all served in a box. I am honestly impressed with their ability to create an absence of any flavor whatsoever. Granted, the wine was descent and a heavy pour, albeit served in a plastic cup. The garlic bread was decent. I would excuse this place if it was a cafeteria for the style but even cafeteria food tends to have more flavor. And for the price? Avoid this tourist trap.
