Busy, but don't wait long

We had to stop by after our weekend getaway in Santa Barbara! My 15 year old son easily found this location on Google maps and we ran in for some coffee and pastries. It is right off the 101! The ladies working here last night, Sunday 1/05/20 were SO kind! It was really slow because we went in pretty late, yet they were all smiles and very pleasant! Happy to stop by here next time we are driving through!!!

The staff at this location got to know me when I came here daily on my vacation. Looking forward to seeing their smiling faces again soon.

I love this coffee shop!! I am always greeted with a friendly welcome when I enter the store. The staff are kind, considerate,and always helpful. They make sure my order is right and deliver it as soon as possible. When the store is really busy with customers they handle it very well, being considerate and professional with everyone. I love this place!😊

This starbucks has a nice little atmosphere and great service. Barista Jacob is awesome and will take care of you. Shoutout to him and the baristas working behind the scenes!! They’re great

I love this coffee shop!! I am always greeted with a friendly welcome when I enter the store. The staff are kind, considerate,and always helpful. They make sure my order is right and deliver it as soon as possible. When the store is really busy with customers they handle it very well, being considerate and professional with everyone. The young blond guy who worked there didn't know how to make a matcha drink. My friend kept trying to explain it to him, and he ended up not remaking the drink, and pretty much told her to deal with it. It was awkward, but I guess you shouldn't go to starbucks for a matcha. Everything else here was pretty standard.

Starbucks is pretty consistent, this seems to be understaffed. I ordered ahead and my order wasn't ready when I arrived. That's the first time I've had that happen.

It's a Starbucks. You know exactly what you want to get and the baristas are great at their jobs. The WiFi is strong, and I feel they almost never run out of the drinks/food I want to order. The only reason I give 4 stars instead of 5 is that I wish they had a changing table in the bathroom, either one on the wall or a small table with a changing pad. There's more than enough space in there, and it would make it a lot easier for customers with babies.

It's a good Starbucks. Coffee was done right service great the grab and go food not stocked well but it was good experience

Nice Starbucks. The people working were nice, friendly, and attentive and I got my order right away. The bathroom was a little under-kept, but is also unlocked. Great place to stop off the freeway.

It's a Starbucks. Most staff are friendly with an easy smile, and most days the service is quick and efficient. I LOVE the ability to order from my phone and just go straight to the pick up line👍☕

The barista got my order wrong once and they were clearly running out of stock quickly (chai and cold brew were unavailable the days I came) which isn't a fault of the baristas but was a bit disappointing. Overall, a good experience

This is especially true in the off season when tourists are more scarce. So, for convenience to freeway access as well as a larger range of operating hours, this is a good option to keep in mind. Smaller on the inside than many other outlets but there is some outdoor seating as well.

In these pandemic times, why can't Starbucks notify me when the drink I ordered in their app outside the store is ready to be picked up inside the store? 8n the absence of that, I have to go I to the store too many times to look and/or have a drink that's not at the optimum temperature.

I love to get the caramel frappuccino. I had never been to this location before, and for some reason, even though there was a long line and like 3 ppl in the store, they still seemed chill, and they were making drinks pretty darn fast. however, as my drink was being rung up, I specifically asked for the coffee based frappuccino, and was given a cream based. having already left, I could not get it remade.

It's a good Starbucks for a grab-n-go, but not ideal for those wanting to sit down and use their computer. I had to charge my laptop away from my table as there are no available outlets.

Always good coffee but I would think they would cater just as equal to the people that walk in for a cup of coffee as much as the people with pick up orders. It great to have that option but it seems like people just walk up and grab other people's drinks or food.

Once I ordered my drinks I realized I should have ordered a few pastries and or donuts so when I saw the line was down I went up to order a few it’s, 9 to be exact and it was pointed out to me btw. I didn’t leave Starbucks until 9:04am and I left without my pastries. My drinks were cold and I was late for the game. The cashier was super nice however he guy in charge of heating up the food was not. i left without my food items and with cold coffee after 25-30 mins. This Starbucks use to be awesome with great employees who all had great people skills and customer service. Not anymore. No one’s even greeted when u walk in.

So if you want the regular Starbucks experience this place is exactly what you expect it to be (mid). If you want a legacy Starbucks experience then you're out of luck.

I frequently pick up mobile orders here and this is the Starbucks where they don't fill up venti drinks! It's a $6 beverage and they can't fill it. Seriously just 3/4. I notice it always happens in the afternoon

We were unfortunately disappointed with this location. We ordered online, when we got there the girl was out of some of the different pumps, so she just used something else and much less than asked for. Terrible beverages this time. Restroom was very dirty and it's in a very sketchy location, at least late at night (when we went there).

Workers friendly, but not genuine like at other Starbucks. No place to plug in and work either. Everything's covered up because of the homeless probably.

Not a coffee shop if Expresso machines are broken. Annoying that they didn't inform you till you reached the cashier after waiting in line--obviously care more about the $'s than customer service.

Awful customer service. Employees cared more about walking around the already clean lobby rather than helping customers. After I had paid for my drink, I came back to get a refill my water cup and was told to get in line. I work in food service, and would never tell a customer to wait 15 minutes for something that would take me 10 seconds to do.

This is the worst Starbucks I've ever been to. Waited 20 min and than my coffee sucked. Hurts to have to give them one star. Because they should get 0 stars.

Every time I've been here the staff is slow and inconsiderate of the customers waiting. 7 people in line, 4 staff (3 chatting behind the counter and 1 making coffee, none taking orders) and then when they bring out the order and I ask a question, they were rude. Out of all the Starbucks I've been to, this one is the worst

Not a problem with the coffee, it's the restroom!! Someone needs to teach these kids working here how to clean a restroom. This place NEVER seems to have a clean restroom, even to just wash your hands!!!!

I’m sitting right outside the store. I’m Calling just to see if they have something I would like to buy. I have a child, and I rather not take her out of the car seat etc. so I thought I would call before I go in. I’m watching 3 workers, just stand there doing nothing. I’ve called 9 times, no answer. I can see them looking at the phone. I sit out here and call And call And call And call And call And call And call And call And call And call And call And call And no one answers. How strange. Oh wait this is Starbucks in Carpenteria. This is completely normal behavior for this store.

I will never stop here again!!! We stopped thru leaving Santa Barbara for Bakersfield. I noticed there were lots of chairs and a trash can preventing you from entering the restroom. As my husband and I placed our order, I asked if I could use the restroom and was given a simple “NO, sorry”. Then she said, if you really have to go, walk over to CVS. I’m you’re customer, NOT CVS! What the heck!!! Every business by law has to have a working restroom for customers. There was no sign on the door saying the toilet was broken so I’m not sure what the issue was. COVID maybe? We also waited much longer than normal for an iced coffee and a tea! We will never stop at this Starbucks again!

Please people learn how to make a caramel macchiato, it tastes like a watery, milky, sugary foamy cheap drink, where is the coffee????? From listening to stories about their relationship to school work to changing Someone else so he could go out with something I didn’t need to involve in my day like I mentioned Minutes for my coffee and the only reason I knew how long I waited was because I had a meeting scheduled that morning. The employees at the Starbucks is becoming short from desperate I get we are in a new era and it is hard to find employees but hiring bottom of the barrel Employee Of With obviously being able to identify that these young individuals have zero customer service Experience is beyond the joke.
