Very elegant Restaurant, lovely vibes, loved their interiors, very polite and professional staff, now regarding the food, SUPER TASTY, incredible flavours and high quality cuisine but the portion was very very tiny ,, close to fine dinning , plz double the size . I zoomed to take photos but it’s actually very small portion for a main course. You enter through the hotel main entrance, we parked outside on the main road, remember to Pay the public parking till 9pm. It is totally worth visiting not once but many times.

Spectacular food with impeccable service. Incredible selection of refined dishes showcasing the best of local seafood without being pretentious. Extensive wine list of top quality Portuguese wine. Would highly recommend

Don Alfonso in Cascais was our first meal in Portugal and it set the bar very high. The service was incredible, the presentation was beautiful, and the food itself was fresh, perfectly prepared, and genuinely delicious. We’ve been eating around the world lately and this meal was simply perfect — balanced, vibrant, and so fresh. We’ll be back soon.

We experienced Don Alfonzo and it was nothing short of spectacular. I would rate this 6 stars if it were possible. Every flavor was carefully thought out to taste, the pairing was introduced with different wines we never tried before. You can tell everyone from the staff to the chef is passionate about the food and the experience. They even asked what our taste palette was prior to the experience. We highly recommend this restaurant. Even after you finish each dish the flavors continue to stay in our mouths. Items on the menu are carefully thought out to perfection and the experience of the entire night was just fantastic. Thank you Don Alfonso & the team!

Excellent Italian restaurant with excellent service. This place deserves a Michelin star, but I'm guessing they want to keep this place a hidden gem in Cascais. Everything we ate was spectacular. The best pasta I had was the sea urchin (uni) taglioni... I've never had anything like it. I believe the menu is seasonal so try that dish while you can. Most of all, Sofia, the restaurant supervisor, had the best service we ever received at a restaurant. Thanks so much for the hospitality!

Dining at Don Alfonso 1890 in Cascais was nothing short of extraordinary. From start to finish, the experience exuded excellence, with service that easily surpassed the traditional five-star rating – this was six-star service at its finest. Every element of our visit reflected an unwavering commitment to guest satisfaction, with no limit to the staff’s attentiveness and care. We initially came for their signature Neapolitan pizzas which are offered until 6.30pm prior to evening service. The pizzad were a masterpiece of culinary craftsmanship. The pizzas arrived perfectly blistered, light yet satisfying, adorned with prosciutto, arugula, cherry tomatoes, and delicate slices of Parmesan. Each bite transported us straight to Naples with its authenticity and vibrant flavors. However, what truly set the evening apart was the restaurant’s adaptability and empathy. One of our party has a gluten allergy, and while gluten-free pizzas weren’t on the menu, the kitchen gladly prepared a gluten-free pasta dish from their evening selection. This level of accommodation was greatly appreciated and highlighted their dedication to ensuring that everyone could enjoy the meal. Additionally, the chef crafted a Mickey Mouse-shaped pizza for our son, a delightful touch that brought a smile to his face. This personal gesture reflected the restaurant’s warmth and genuine hospitality. The ambiance of the dining area elevated the experience further. Elegantly designed and tranquil, it offered the perfect setting for a relaxed yet upscale meal. The attention to detail extended even to the pre-dinner offerings – fresh, piping hot focaccia filled with cherry tomatoes, paired with high-quality olive oil and balsamic vinegar. This simple yet exquisite starter set the tone for the indulgent evening ahead. A highlight of our experience was the drinks. The restaurant boasts a highly skilled mixologist whose expertise shone through in every cocktail. He crafted custom drinks that were not only refreshing but also perfectly balanced – some of the best beverages we’ve had in quite some time. His creativity and precision added a layer of sophistication to the evening that we didn’t expect but deeply appreciated. We must offer special thanks to Ana Sofia, the floor manager and head waitress, who ensured that our evening was flawless. Her professionalism, warmth, and meticulous attention to every detail made us feel truly special. We also want to extend our appreciation to Alexia, who was equally attentive and kind, contributing to the seamless and delightful service throughout the evening.

Absolute pleasure to dine at Don Alfonso Cascais - built in a new Hilton hotel but with very old pedigree from the Italian 🇮🇹 founders 👌 The Ravioli with seafood bisque was rich and flavoursome and the steak 🥩 was absolutely perfect and like butter … a very rare experience in Portugal The desserts are exquisite and overall the service is world class - very pleased to be able to enjoy this quality in my home town 👌👌

Don Alfonso makes for a wonderful dining experience every single time we go there! We always look forward to spending an evening at this restaurant as it ticks every box- elevated atmosphere with beautifully appointed decor, excellent quality service from the staff and tasteful, elegantly presented food that satisfies. It truly has it all! We live in Lisbon and go out of our way to drive to Cascais to dine here. For us it is a very special place where we have built memories we will cherish always. They also have a lovely patio which I would recommend for an evening out with family and friends that is a gorgeous space. I wish them great success so that we can keep going back for decades to come!

Estava curiosa para conhecer o Ardea pelas imagens e comentários que tinha visto … e realmente foi uma ótima experiência! Uma excelente atmosfera para jantar e uma decoração LINDA! O ossobuco estava maravilhoso e o vinho acompanhou muito bem, encorpado e aveludado. O atendimento prima pela simpatia e ninguém fez má cara por ficarmos até mais tarde 🙈 Recomendo muito ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The food and service were excellent! Everything was good, but the Cascais fish soup and the Monkfish rice were amazing. Quite a nice mixed drink as well. This was the best meal and the best service of our visit to Cascais.

Top top! Yes it’s an 10 min walk away from the action and yes in a Hilton but really I was blown away by presentation, service (Ana was terrific), superb wine list and all of the dishes were incredible (lamb, spaghetti, burrata all hits). Highly recommend- you won’t regret it!

The chefs exceeded expectations on every single Moment through their imagination of adding freshness or flavours that were unique to the intent.
