This is the best Indian food anywhere around and I've tried most of them. I want to take it back to the UK for the summer because it beats my locals at home. Great service too.

Wir waren zu zweit am Sonntag Nachmittag alleine im Restaurant. Wir wurden freundlich empfangen und haben einen Platz auf der Terrasse genommen. Mit der Bedienung haben wir über unsere Ernährungsform gesprochen und sie konnte uns ausgezeichnete Gericht empfehlen. Die Bedienung war stets aufmerksam und hat nach jedem Gang gefragt ob alles in Ordnung ist. Wir hatten Blumenkohl Bites als Starter und zwei unterschiedliche Currys als Hauptgang. Es war unser erster Besuch und nicht unser letzter! Wir versuchen ein mal die Woche so ein tolles Restaurant zu unterstützen.

Beautiful food.. the starts was gawjus. I got the meat samosas an the fillings was full off flavour an was full... The main corse ther plenty to choose from. I got madras, garlic nan an chips.. only thing off putting for me was they put salt on chips, now thats not normally a problem but they put loads on. So if yh going order chips ask with out salt. The main corse was full off flavours an the chicken was perfect an soft. The service was great but they take ther time between starts an the main corse.. ova then that i would highly recommend this takeaway to eat in 💯

Indian restaurant in Catral. Lots of options available and a good selection of specials.various menu offers also available including menu de día and menu de la noche. Kids menu also available if you have little ones who aren't keen on Indian food. Staff friendly and efficient in our experience

Heerlijk gegeten! Vooral nr 98, vis in kokos- mangosaus, lekker! Paar dagen later nogmaals teruggegaan voor dat gerecht. Bediening vriendelijk, prijzen heel redelijk, kwaliteit erg goed. Wij waren in januari en buitendeur staat open. Kan fris zijn bij koud weer.

Heerlijk gegeten! Heel schoon en netjes binnen en vriendelijk personeel. Echt een aanrader!

Gisteravond hier met groep van 10 gegeten. Dan moet de bediening wel ff aanpoten, maar er mankeerde echt niks aan. Top gerechten, heel verfijnde smaak. Gewoon een erg goed restaurant met uiterst vriendelijke bediening! Eet smakelijk!

The food was well presented it looked appetizing and tasted wonderful. The staff here were welcoming and attentive without being a nuisance. The food was reasonably priced with a great choice of options. Including some set meals for 2, 4 people etc. This restaurant serves alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks which are not expensive. The restaurant is nicely decorated and has a lovely ambience to it. All in all, well worth a visit. We will definitely be returning here for an Indian meal.

We travelled down the AP7 on the recommendation of a friend. To say it was worth it is an understatement. The food is amazing , the service is first class& the value outstanding. So amazing we are going back 3 days later & at every opportunity we can find.

First time at this restaurant but really enjoyed the meal. Menu for lunch was 12.95€. Poppadoms followed by Chicken tikka starter along with chicken pakoras, then chicken curry, chicken tikka masala, butter naan and onion rice. I would have liked hot plates for the main course hence a star lost for service, but can't actually fault anything else. The waiter was attentive enough without being over bearing. Atmosphere was low because it was between The festive season so not many people around. But definitely value for money amd we will return.

Currently sat in the Punjabi, after being welcomed by the owner and shown to my table, my drinks order was swiftly taken and rapidly delivered alongside poppadoms and chutneys etc. I ordered chicken tikka starter which came sizzling on a hot plate alongside onions and peppers, absolutely amazing! I have got work in customers houses tomorrow so was sensible and went for a chicken tikka massala main, but these guys are very accommodating and I asked for it with medium heat, accompanied by basmati rice and dare I say it, chips! Us Northern lads love chips with everything 🤣 I also had a side of cheese Nan but I would thourghly recommend the cheese and onion nan. Me and my wife have been coming here since the day they opened and yes in the past there has been times where it hasn't been the best, but for at least the the last 12 months this has and is the best curry house in the vega baja.

Grata sorpresa. Aparcamiento fácil, terraza amplia y limpia. Camarero muy atento, preguntando en todo momento si todo estaba correcto. Menú por menos de 10€ en el que puedes elegir 2 platos de su amplia carta + postre + bebida. Todo bastante rico y un servicio a tiempo sin esperar demasiado. Lo recomiendo si te gusta la comida india.

Hemos ido a cenar 3 o 4 veces al local, pero ayer pedimos la cena para llevar a casa. Nos sorprende que este restaurante tenga tan poca gente siempre. La comida está buenísima, el ambiente espectacular, y el trato de 10!! Nos regalaros una ración de Samosas y una botella de vino! Soy una fan de la comida india y siempre solía ir al restaurante hindú de al lado, que se llama Bombay, pero desde que probé este restaurante ya no he vuelto a ir. La calidad de la comida y el servicio muchísimo mejor. Seguiré yendo sin duda!

El sitio está en la calle principal del pueblo de Catral y no tendrás problemas ni para encontrarlo ni para aparcar en sus alrededores. La comida es excelente y bien elaboradas, el servicio muy correcto y las raciones son generosas, así que no duden en visitarlo ya sea en familia, pareja o en cenas/comidas numerosas. Take away took 25 minutes ( restaurant had many customers at table mid week)but tasted good. Must order less next time as getting too old for their portions.very enjoyable especially with complimentary bottle wine for spending over 20euros

I only haven't given this place 5 stars because of things that are important to me. Cold plates are just not on, especially when you are not provided with warmers for your food. Overall a good experience with a very wide variety of dishes. Didn’t quite make a full five star as the Nan bread was raw in the middle and our meals got swapped. My wife ordered butter chicken and I Tika Masala, but they were served incorrectly at the table. Nice atmosphere and friendly staff.

At lunchtime the restaurant was nearly empty and the freshly cooked food took some time to arrive, but it was worth the wait - plentiful, very tasty and good value.

Visited today as part of the tapas route. For only €3 we had a nice selection of mixed pakora and a beer. For an extra 50c you could have a soft drink or 0.0% alcohol free beer. Nice little sample which we enjoyed with mint sauce and sweet chilli sauce. Great atmosphere and everyone was smiling around us.

Bueno estado comiendo en el restaurante Punjabi Virsa de Catral Hemos pedido unos entrantes: Samosas de pollo y otras de verduras. Para mí está más gustosa el arte pollo. Después hemos pedido un arroz con champiñones Como plato principal pollo con mango. Han servido muy bien y con mucha profesionalidad. La comida también estaba muy bien condimentada y en el tamaño justo para no hincharse ni desperdiciar

El mejor indio de Catral y de la zona. Es la segunda vez que venimos y salimos contentos. La cantidad que se paga es buena en relación a todo lo que se come. El único pero es que si no te gusta probar cosas nuevas, este no es tu sitio. Pagamos 2 menús por 14 euros cada uno en el que vienen entrantes, ración a elegir, plato principal, bebida y postre o café. Dicen que cambiaron el personal y bajaron de calidad un poco. De todas formas, totalmente recomendable!!

Personal atento y amable, que te ayuda a elegir la comida si como en nuestro caso eres novato. La comida muy rica y en una terracita muy maja. Calidad precio del menú del día muy buena, teniendo en cuenta la cantidad de comida y la calidad.

Er zaten bijna geen gasten. Toch moesten we lang wachten. Om te kunnen bestellen. Eten duurde ook lang voordat het kwam. Met fouten. Service was slecht. Eten redelijk. Koffie was er niet. Toetjes waren op. En de rekening was een verassing. Een bedrag op een briefje geschreven. Dat veel te hoog was. Geklacht, er ging 10 euro af. Pinnen kon niet. Dus niet voor herhaling vatbaar.

Been back to this restaurant a couple of times in the last few weeks and the food is of good quality. The problem however is when you ask for the bill you have no idea what you are paying for due to the total being hand written on a piece of paper with no itemisation. Also, they are very reluctant to accept payment with a credit card. Sadly we will not be returning.

Awful. After a year we still haven't found anywhere to have a decent curry but this is by far the worst. It took so long to get the starter we knew it was a mistake trying somewhere new. The plates from the stmmthick and stodgy onion bhaji and prawn puri on thick bread which was all wrong, we waited for over 45 minutes with dirty plates in front of us while the lady behind the bar just stood there. I asked for a glass of Cava and she looked at us like we had asked for something strange! We asked the man who was serving, taking orders and apparently cooking when he eventually came out and said none by the glass. After an hour we asked for the main to take away as we were tired of waiting and not expecting much. When we got home it was average and we didn't finish it. Chewy lamb and a poor chicken madras. Don't bother, there are better restaurants around with better service. The wallpaper here is taped on! Not a good impression.

We went for dinner tonight at a favourite Indan restaurant in Catral. We haven't been for some months and none of the old staff were around. The menu looks the same but the early evening menu had increased in price, but post COVID everything is more expensive. We were really looking forward to the meal sadly my husband who ordered the mixed tandoori platter was very disappointed, his chicken was sour and in-edible and the lamb was so tough it was hard to cut. We were with our family and the experience with the sour and tough meat put us all off our food and spoilt the evening. We told the waiter who offered a replacement which we declined. We got our bill and the waiter had added 3 large beers we didn't have and had charged us for the in-edible meat dish. The waiter wanted the 200 Euro bill paid in cash which said we wouldn't do, we did pay bill with a card minus the beers we didn't have and will never go back again. Sorry Punjabi Virsa, such a shame for what you used to be.... You should have deducted the in-edible meal from the bill. Big mistake!

We have been here recently and came to the conclusion it is not worth the money. The owner seems only to have interest in certain customers and very young and untrained boys can solve the rest of the problems. Food tasted reasonable but afterwards got sick of it. Not recommended

Apart from a table of four people inside my wife and I were the only customers, we were outside, we waited over an hour for the first course and another hour before we got the main course, the food was very disappointing and tasteless. I ordered a madras and my wife a rogan josh they were identical! Never again.

Wir waren früher sehr oft dort essen. Es war immer gut. Aber nachdem der Besitzer gewechselt hat, ist es nicht mehr gut. Die Bedienung spricht weder spanisch noch englisch. Kaum zu verstehen. Das Essen war früher immer gut verträglich. Jetzt liegt es einem schwer im Magen. Schade. Die Klimaanlage macht einen sehr störenden Lärm.

We've been here but it was a strange atmosphere. The food tasted good, but it took very long to get to our dish. We had a evening menu for €15,95. Popodoms as appetizers, a starter at choice, a main course at choice and a dessert at choice. The samosa's where a little to long fried and to hard. Main course was okay but then the dessert. On the plate it was stated dessert or coffee. We would have liked a mango Lassi but that was not possible. So we asked for coffee, also not possible (strange because the plate says something else). Then I ordered a desert from the menu. Mango ice cream and a tea. While the tea was there in about 5 minutes the ice didn't. After a long waiting period I mentioned that it took very long. The (very young) waiter went to ask and came back that we couldn't have that mango ice cream because suddenly it was not available. So we asked the check. We suddenly were urged to pay cash only while on the door was stated that cards are also possible. After we mentioned we only could pay cash, it was suddenly possible to pay with card. Very very disappointed service. Absolutely not recommended. One of us got sick after eating here. We shared except for the Dal soup, so it must have been that.

Ervaring van vorige jaren waren heel goed dus wij er met 3 stellen heen. 3 mensen namen een visschotel en 3 namen kip en beef. Alle drie die mensen met het vlees werden s'nachts ziek. De vis was ok maar er was weinig vis te vinden. Alles is met saus bedekt. De bediening was ook slecht, weinig initiatief om de bestelling op te nemen. Wel heel erg geïnteresseerd om je meer drank aan te smeren. Wij gaan er nooit meer heen.

OPLETTEN !! BEDROG !! Ze werken met 2 verschillende menukaarten, met verschillende prijzen. Om te bestellen krijg je de kaart met ‘goedkopere prijzen’. Toen we de rekening vroegen,kregen we de totale prijs op een papiertje, zonder detail. Ik wist meteen dat het niet klopte en vroeg een gedetailleerde rekening. We kregen opnieuw de menukaart, maar deze keer met andere prijzen. Alles was €1 tot €2 duurder … Ik was zeker dat ik andere prijzen had gezien en toen ik haar daarover aansprak, zei ze ‘oei, dan heb je per ongeluk een oude kaart gekregen met foutieve prijzen’. Ze was niet van plan om het verschil terug te betalen, maar we hielden vol en kregen het uiteindelijk terug. Dit is BEDROG, we gaan NOOIT meer terug. Het eten was ook niet super. Al veel beter gegeten bij andere Indische restaurants.

Omg went for a meal only 2 tables with people sat at, ordered drinks got it wrong...had to ask to order the meal, 50 minutes later starter came out. We then had to ask for mains...I ordered Tandoori Chicken ( half of a chicken it should be) 3 drumsticks is what I got NO curry sauce , which I had to ask for. Everyone was waiting for their food , it was a fiasco! Terrible service! Had to ask for the bill 3 times, finally had to go and stand at the bar waiting for it....We have been twice before and service/ food was great, has it been taken over!

Starters were okay. Then the mains came- all six were stone cold- we called the waiter over and told him this. His response was that he watched them cook it and cannot be cold. We gave him the food to feel but he continued to argue with us and would not hear the food up. Disgusting service, so rude and we did not eat any of our meals. Paid the bill and left were not offered our included dessert. Absolutely horrible experience and will never go again.

Al 3 jaar klant hij Punjabi maar de laatste 3 bezoeken gaat de bediening achteruit. Vandaag is ook het eten ook rotslecht! Mix van de chef taai en niet gaar, de rijst smaakloos, de sausen veel minder smaak, de nan totaal geen smaak! Van een zeer tevreden klant naar een zeer ontevreden vaste klant! Mij zie je er niet meer!

Hola Espero que todos estén bien Sólo quiero hablarte de un Restaurante indio Punjabi virsa que no es bueno... están robando al cliente... tienen precios diferentes en estiércol y cobran precios diferentes en factura..... Porque estaba trabajando allí y le dije al honor que esto es una trampa con el cliente que tenemos que no debería cobrarnos así o tenemos que cambiar los precios del menú en los menús, pero él usó una palabra abusiva conmigo.......Cuando le digo que voy a dejar el trabajo, entonces no pagó mi salario, dijo que lo transferiría a su cuenta, pero no lo hizo. . . Está hablando Mentir con el cliente. . . . . . .. te preparo indio bombay Restaurante y mi sugerencia es que no vayas al restaurante Punjabi virsa.

No dudo de la calidad de la comida del restaurante...pero si eres habitual consumidor del "arroz de coco" tu dentista estará contento, en breve dispondrás de una bonita sonrisa como la del cuñaooo o la del risitas, los protésicos dentales aprueban este plato, además tampoco descarten un transplante de páncreas del azúcar que tiene. Otro detalle bastante feo es que al acabar de cenar y con la cuenta ya en la mesa, te ofrezcan chupitos y aun rechazandolos te aparezcan cobrados en cuenta por arte de magia. Pidan copia del justificante de pago con tarjeta!

Los precios de la carta no coinciden con los del ticket, nos han cobrado demás sin decir nada, la comida tampoco coincidia con la carta, no volveré a ir, podéis comprobar los precios con la foto que he añadido.

Confirmo el comentario de otra reseña. Los precios que te muestran en la carta NO coinciden con el ticket a pagar. El precio cobrado es mucho más caro. Sin duda no volveré. Habrá que probar el Bombay que está al lado, y tiene menú con entrante, principale, postre y bebida por 10€. Una y no más Santo Tomás.

Confirmo el comentario de otra reseña. Los precios que te muestran en la carta NO coinciden con el ticket a pagar. El precio cobrado es mucho más caro. Sin duda no volveré.
