Sierra cazorla is beautiful and if you like hiking there are lot of different routes according to your level or what you want to do. The people are nice and helpful. Definitely one of the areas to see from Jaén.
A remote wilderness that will take you back to the wild west you'll think you're in a western rather the middle of Spain but still the sheer beauty and untouched landscape is breathtaking

On a motorcycle tour through Spain we passed through this stunning area. It was a pleasant surprise how beautiful it was- we camped one night. Ate and drank in a village while a fiesta was happening(August)- very enjoyable. We passed through Ayna - a village in a gorge surrounded by unusual rock formations. This is perhaps the most beautiful area of Spain I have seen. I wish to return here to see more of the scenery,wildlife and villages.
Had short trip at the end of May, what a massive and beautiful park !!! Plenty of amazing scenery, very green, plenty of shade from giant pines on most hiking routes. Stayed in Hornos village, very peaceful and quiet place. Not many people on hiking routes at all, small advice to get more provisions before your trip as not many shops for groceries around this area. Will come back for another visit as there is still plenty to see.
Beautiful small town on the top of a mountain. If you want one or two days of calm and peace.
Great motorcycle roads, stunning scenery too
So far away but so close. It's unbelievable that I haven't been there since I was a child. I have to come back and explore much more. Highly recommended, specially Sierra de Segura if you want a less touristy experience.
An amazing place to visit. So much to do and see. Not the easiest area to get to but the roads take you though some amazing scenery.
If you are in the nearby area, it's worth the trip to this natural area (biosphere UNESCO). A must visit- all the small mountain villages. Stop on and try their lo al foods, cheese and of course the "Cordero Segureño".
Amazing place! One of the best natural parks I have been in. It should be more known! If you go there, don't stay in the river at the beginning, try to do all the 3rd circuit (like 25km)...it is totally worth it!!
Beautiful place with breathtaking views of both the olive fields and mountains. Lots of walks to do with breath taking scenery.Words cannot describe this beautiful and unspoilt national park. mountains, rivers, lake and all sorts of animals and birds

Beautiful area of Parque natural de Cazorla, highly recommended
It was a good experience though it wasn't the best time to come. The reason is that this year was very dry and it was noticeable in many places of the park. The park itself is huge, green and beautiful. It has good wildlife to appreciate (not dangerous), rivers, mountains, forests, campings (not free), shelters (free) and even restaurants. I totally recommend to come but with previous knowledge, as it is ONLY allowed to camp in camping zones or shelters. So you have to know beforehand the things that are allowed and where you are going to spend the night.
We took a long bike ride through the park and it was amazing, full of wildlife and great nature smell. Many spots to have a picnic which I wish to do some other time.
A lovely park with many nice walks and places to swim in the rivers. However, tours with the park services are daylight robbery, costing €350 per person. And most of the interpretation centres have never heard of soap, meaning that those eating in the cafeterias and browsing in the souvenir shops are constantly touching things with their faeces covered hands. Disgusting.
