Fish Mojarra de Veracruzana was cooked in a sauce like non other. Very good fish, a giant, and definitely the best sauce for a fish I have ever had. A Veracruz secret sauce I am sure. Many specialities of Veracruz seafood and chicken dishes available. Impecable service. The owner treats all the workers and guest like family. The Habanero salsa on table from Estado de México is excellent.
Everything was excellent, the food was good, and the service was excellent, except for one foreign waitress who had no service attitude and was very rude.
It's okay...it just needs a bit more cleaning on the tablecloths...they're dirty...and a little more seasoning wouldn't hurt...it's not that it's bad...the food is just underseasoned.
The food was good, well-seasoned, nothing out of the ordinary. The place was dirty; the tables next to us still had dirty dishes left by previous diners even after they had left, and there was also food and trash on the floor. The prices are somewhat high. The service from the waiter was good.
I don't recommend the shrimp broth; it's like a general broth where they throw in the shrimp from a shrimp cocktail. The tap water tasted like onions. The octopus was very tough. The breaded fish fillet was good, but the rice was freezing cold. I hope they improve these details.
It was a bad experience eating there. I ordered rice, shrimp broth, and orange juice. The rice was undercooked, had loose grains, and had a slightly sour taste, as if it had already gone bad. I returned it to the waitress and told her I wasn't going to eat it. The broth and shrimp weren't fresh; they tasted like they'd been boiled several times, and the vegetables weren't cooked to perfection either. The orange juice wasn't good either; it tasted like the oranges were already overcooked. In short, I think the food, in general, isn't fresh. And the prices seem high for the quality.
It's a shame... The food lacks flavor, the service is good but could be much better. The prices could be more competitive. And the worst part? They charge a 5% commission on card payments, a commission they should be covering.
It's alright not that bad food and sevice
Terrible experience. It looked like it would be a good place to eat, but it turned out to be quite the opposite. Dirty facilities with uncomfortable furniture and music that's too loud to hurt your ears. The waiters are very overbearing, throwing food at you and giving you the wrong orders. I DO NOT RECOMMEND IT 😣
Terrible service and food was over cooked. We tried a bunch of plates and the only thing good was the bread.
The service was terrible. They didn't even say "good afternoon." They practically threw the menu and the dishes at you. The waitresses were on their cell phones, and when you asked for something else (because they didn't even come over to ask if everything was okay), they reluctantly gave it to you. The restroom was equally terrible, dirty and without water, and according to the itinerary, it had been cleaned and inspected. The only redeeming feature was the quality of the dishes, which were very delicious.
The worst seafood you'll find in Mexico City. The shrimp broth is disgusting; the shrimp have been frozen for about half a year. DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY THERE.
We ordered shrimp, arrachera steak, and shrimp cocktail. The shrimp were overcooked, the arrachera was just a single strip, and it came with undercooked rice. Honestly, it was terrible for the price. In short, I don't recommend this place.
Terrible service, fried eggs all beaten and full of oil. The food is not what you'd expect. And the service is terrible. The person who claims to be in charge couldn't provide a solution. Not recommended.
Do not go to this place, high prices and very low quality food, I ordered seafood soup and I got the impression that they gave me leftovers from other dishes that some diners left, I honestly tell you, it looked like dog food and not seafood soup, the few shrimp that were served seemed like they were quite old, very leftover, the flavor was very bad, the cost was $175.00 and for my taste it was not even worth 75. I am a diner who likes to eat rich and well and also pay if it is worth it, but this place really needs a change. We paid a total of $590.00 for seafood soup, shrimp cocktail, and breaded fish fillet, a coke and pineapple water and the only good thing was the pineapple water.
It's not what I expected, and the prices are very high. The salad had more lettuce than shrimp, and in the end, it seemed more like lettuce salad with shrimp. And the menu says otherwise. The shrimp cocktail lacks flavor. In my opinion, they're a long way from achieving the seasoning the chefs in Veracruz provide.
