I went to Pianillos with a group of friends at the weekend. The interior was stylish and the food was gorgeous. The highlight of the night for me was the singer Johnny - what a fantastic voice - he really added to the atmosphere!
Went there for a Christmas meal. Great food, very nice setting and good service. What more do you want!!
We had wonderful time at your restaurant celebrating our Grandsons 18th birthday. Wonderful service, delicious food, great music all perfect for our family celebration. A massive thank you to all the team. We'll be backxx
The food was amazing! Didn’t have to wait long in between the courses it was a perfect amount of time! When the food came it was so piping hot as well. The staff were really helpful and friendly and anything you asked for they went and got straight away and you didn’t have to wait. Would definitely recommend to anyone. The facilities were super clean and the atmosphere was really nice in the restaurant to. :)
The staff was very attentive and made us feel welcomed, the food was delicious, nice generous portions and also accommodating for dietary requests 😊 The overall atmosphere was excellent, nice music. I would definitely recommend it!
First time in Chertsey, here for appointment with my daughter, found online and was not dissapointed. Stunning looking restaurant, so clean! ( cleanist toilets ever!) Food was stunning and really good value. Staff were lovely and attentive. Wish we didn’t live so far away, as would be here all the time :-)
Such a beautiful restaurant, staff are very friendly and the food is amazing. After being cancelled on short notice Pianillo saved the day! Table of 10 and no issues at all. Would highly recommend the festive menu, wonderful food, fun atmosphere and great value for money!
Came here to celebrate my partners birthday. Pasquale was a brilliant server and we couldn’t have asked for anything more. He was amazing! Food was 10/10 and so was the service! Music was an added bonus. It’s our second time here and will definitely return again!
Hello! The service at Restaurante Caspari continues to be incredible. From the moment we walked in, the staff welcomed us with a smile that made us feel we were in the right place. The food was exceptional (the crab ravioli and the ricotta pizza). Congratulations to all the staff, a special thank you to Esther who even had the patience to accept our request to take some photos of us...We'll be back!!! 😉👍
I recently came to Pianillo for their Sunday roast it was one of the best atmospheres I have been too a full restaurant which was great Chris too was a great person to speak with I have the banoffee pie for dessert I really recommend everyone coming here.
Had a fantastic meal in this restaurant before catching a flight from Heathrow. Staff were really friendly and attentive. Food was excellent and we all thoroughly enjoyed it. Restaurant was tastefully decorated and had a very nice feel to it. We'll definitely return if we are in the area.
visited the restaurant on the evening of the 29th September, and I have to say I was amazed by the experience. My partner and I were welcomed in by the friendly staff at the bar and shown to our table - the restaurant was breathtakingly designed with a fresh and modern look. We were served by a lovely gentleman, Pasqale, who was so very attentive to our needs - including the rest of the tables. The drinks were refreshing with beautifully balanced flavours, the food was cooked to perfection and the desserts were incredibly delightful. Highly Recommend
The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, and the drinks were crafted with real care and attention to detail. The cocktail I had was not only delicious but also beautifully presented. Special thanks to Mikaeil, who made my drink — he was professional, friendly, and clearly passionate about what he does. I’ll definitely be coming back and would highly recommend this place to others
Well this was a lovely surprise! Great for celebrations. We went for a baby shower and food and atmosphere were fabulous. Our waiter was so helpful and all staff friendly. Service quick and attentive. Beautifully decorated. Music slightly loud so not for quiet conversations but great for a fun, happy night with friends and family.
Five star review and for good reason! This is a total hidden gem and if you are thinking of booking, DO IT NOW. I promise you won't regret it. We booked a table for 8, ranging from ages of 5 to 70 and they catered for all. Firstly, the location is easy to get to and it's quite a large restaurant and bar area. The decor is stunning and the photos I took won't do it justice, but it's clean and very 'instagrammable'. The service was within good time, very attentive to your needs including drinks and cutlery replacements etc. The food was absolutely amazing! No complaints about any of the dishes. The portion sizes were large and filling which is exactly what you want from a hearty Italian! You can tell everything was cooked from scratch and fresh! We had a range of starters and mains which I have attached photos for. A special mention for the pizzas which were absolutely massive and DELICIOUS. At the moment, this place seems like a hidden gem 💎 and part of me doesn't want to post this review as I would fear it would get so busy, but they honestly deserve the business. Thank you thank you thank you! We will 100% be back again!
We booked this restaurant for a surprise engagement party for one of our friends, and there were 10 of us in total. We went on a Friday night when there was a DJ, which made the atmosphere absolutely amazing. The food was delicious and the staff were just as great — very kind, friendly, and welcoming throughout the entire evening. They allowed us to decorate the area before our table booking and bring our own decorations, which really helped make the night extra special. The team went above and beyond to make the engagement party memorable, and we will definitely be booking again.
Visited last Monday during a week-long stag celebration and wow what a hidden gem! The garlic bread is quite honestly the best we’ve ever tasted and the cocktails were superb - and I think we tried the entire menu between us! Wonderful service, stayed open for us too. We can’t thank you enough, will definitely visit again if in the area!
Absolutely loved this place! The atmosphere felt truly Italian — from the themed statues to the vintage Italian motorbike and car. The live music added such a warm, authentic touch. The food was incredible — genuinely Italian in flavour and beautifully presented. The meal was so good that we even ordered a takeaway pizza to enjoy later! I couldn’t resist having two crème brûlées — they were the creamiest and most delicious I’ve ever tasted. Highly recommend! Thank you to our waiter, Pasquala, for the wonderful service.
This was 10/10, me and my other half came here for lunch.. service, presentation of the food and the atmosphere of the restaurant was so lovely.. there was parking on the roads, decent priced menu.. it is nice for families, couples, dates or celebrations.. I will be coming back here again
Absolutely amazing service. Friendly entrance and introduction. So that we did not miss out, the waitress bought the specials board to our table! No mean feat when it's 4 foot tall. My brother had the special crab ravioli which was impeccabily presented. I had the lasagne which was very very good and you could tell both dishes had freshly made pasta created from scratch. The starter was mussels covered in cheese with a garlic and butter sauce.....will very very good. From start to finish the food and service was outstanding, attention to detail is paramount. I will definitely be back! Ciao
Pretty good place with Italian cuisine. Good quality for reasonable price. I had one of the best Risotto Frutti di mare there, and from comments of others each pasta, pizza or risotto were superb. There is enough room inside for bigger groups as well as couples having a romantic date. Enjoy!
1st visit to Pianillo I will definitely be returning great Atmosphere friendly staff , good food just what this town needs well done
Nice food, nice staff. We had a special occasion and Saf made is very special and welcoming with different starters, main meal... I do recommend this restaurant
Having eaten here infrequently for the last 10 years, they are always on top of their game. Fantastic food and great service.
Went with my niece for lunch whilst on a Thorpe park weekend… it wasn’t busy, which was such a shame as what an absolutely beautiful restaurant with a great manager. We were looked after by a fab Hungarian waitress, very attentive, happy & knowledgeable. The Italian food was superb - my niece had the ‘kids’ pizza… biggest child’s portion I’ve ever seen! Whilst I had the bruschetta & then a pasta - both fab. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in the area.
Excellent service, delicious food, and amazing live music on Saturday night. Yummy pizza, pasta and homemade tiramisu! The decor and ambience is fabulous as well. Highly recommend!
My husband and I came here for dinner on Friday and was pleasantly surprised by the ambience, service, food and live music - the singer was impressive. Great atmosphere and lovely bar area where I enjoyed an excellent espresso martini. Highly recommend this place and live music every weekend.
We were seated at a round table which was ideal. We all chose typically Italian dishes. The portions were very generous. The owner challenged me to finish my Pizza as it was so enormous, I did manage to eat it all! as it was so delicious. Shall be back soon.
Such a wonderful place! Food was amazing, atmosphere Is great and our waiter Michael was very nice and attentive. Highly recommend if you want great authentic food.
Had a lovely meal here yesterday evening with my family. The prices were very reasonable for the quality of the food. It was very authentic and felt like I was in Italy again. Truffle risotto was incredible! The staff were very friendly and attentive with service throughout the meal. There was a live singer when we arrived which gave the place a great atmosphere. Will definitely be coming back here soon!
Food was fab, service from Pasquale was on point and the venue is a lovely hidden little gem in Chertsey
Had a lovely dinner at Pianillo Italian Restaurant & Bar with my partner. The food was delicious and full of flavour, great value for money. Service was friendly and attentive, and the decor added to the warm, inviting atmosphere. We’ll definitely be back!
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Amazing Italian! 🇮🇹🍝 The food was fresh, full of flavour and tasted authentic – you can really tell it’s made with care. Service was warm and welcoming, and the atmosphere made the whole experience even better. Definitely a place we’ll be coming back to again and again. Highly recommend!
Couldn't have asked for a better last meal in England before heading home. Special thank you to our wonderfully warm waiter, Michael. Such a pleasant man. I hope who ever reads this review requests Michael. During our dining, wonderful, classy music filled the dining room while we watched another member of staff diligently clean the lighting sconces on the wall, plant pots and booth seating. Charming green and dusty magenta chairs make this dining room feel like a well appointed home while your favorite songs from the 60's echo throughout. Just about the most pleasant and tasty experience my wife and I have ever had!
We had a brilliant time at Pianillo, owed entirely to the outstanding service we received from Pasquale, who went above and beyond throughout the evening to ensure everything went well. Couldn’t recommend him more!
An excellent Pizza, the crust was delicious and plenty of toppings . My husband also loved his pizza and he is Italian.! Unfortunately I did not have room for a dessert but husband had one of his favourites a Banoffee Pie It looked delicious and he assured me it was. We finished the meal with two very good coffees. Service was also very good.
Visited Pianillo recently and overall had a very enjoyable experience. The décor was tasteful with a darker, more intimate vibe, and the restaurant was clean and well-maintained throughout our visit. Service started off a little slow, especially considering the place wasn’t too busy when we arrived for our early booking. However, staff were friendly and things picked up as the evening went on. We had olives as a starter then I I had the Chicken Pollo, which was absolutely delicious—full of flavour and well-cooked. My dining companion had the steak, which was also well-prepared and enjoyed. We didn’t have dessert this time, and hope to go back again to try those! By the time we were leaving, the restaurant had filled up quite a bit, so I’d definitely recommend booking ahead to guarantee a table. Would happily return and try more of the menu.
The best thing about Caspari is the singer Paulo Freitas who sings every Thursday night. Really good evening out and people often end up dancing at the end. If you don't like to listen to music when you're out, don't go on a Thursday night! People who complain that the music is too loud ruin it for the rest of us who love it. Food is nice, some of it is a little expensive for what you get, but if you try a few different dishes, you'll find ones you like and that you continue to go back to. I would like to see bigger prawns in the prawn pasta dishes they are very small in comparison to other dishes I've had in other Italians. Staff are friendly enough and Ellie behind the bar is absolutely lovely. Great also if you just want to pop in for a drink and not eat or have something small in the bar area.
Went for dinner with friends, I must say a lil gem in Chertsey. I’ve never been before but it was lovely and the service was great (wish I knew the guys name who served us). My pasta dish was gorgeous ✨ had chorizo in it yum yum! However, my friend did have a great experience as she informed them she’s gluten free which is always a great selling point for the restaurant. But they brought her a normal one which she nearly swallowed… but thankful our waiter stopped her and said let me double check. Anyways that aside it was lovely and her meal was free and replaced with the gluten free dish she ordered! I would go back it was yummy. And nice wine 🍷
Service was slow as it seemed very busy with not a lot off staff, I ordered two pizzas that should’ve had pepperonis on them but didn’t and I ordered wine at the same time I ordered my food to have with my meal but it didn’t come until after reminding them twice and after my food was basically finished. The live music was a bit loud so you could barely make conversation but apart from that it was a nice restaurant with good food and friendly servers
Food was amazing! We are giving 3 stars because at the end we honestly felt a bit upset with the charge. On the menu it says £5.50 for a single Bacardi- I assumed that price included the coke as per literally every other establishment I have been to. It did not, it was £5.50 for 1 shot of Bacardi and £2 for coke which is crazy to me. We only realised this when our bill arrived and it was substantially more than we had expected. They also added a service charge of £6.90 which we didn’t ask for. At the end it was £69 and when we paid we asked to split the bill, the waiter then made it £70 so charged us even more! We are really upset because the food was lovely and so was the waitress that originally served us but at the end we honestly felt mugged off.
A Disappointing Experience at Pianillo I’ve been dining at Pianillo for years and have always appreciated its warm atmosphere and reliable food. Unfortunately, our recent visit left us feeling let down and uncomfortable. The evening started with a couple of mix-ups: I ordered an apple Fruit Shoot for my daughter but received apple juice instead. Then, a bottle of Pinot Grigio turned into Sauvignon Blanc. Not ideal, but we let it slide. Starters were a highlight—my king prawns were delicious, my wife enjoyed her soup, and our daughter devoured her kids’ spaghetti bolognese. The Insalata Tricolore my wife had for her main was fresh and lovely. Then came my bacon and chilli risotto. After a few mouthfuls, it became clear something was off—it was overwhelmingly salty, to the point of being inedible. I rarely complain, but this time I had to. I told the waiter I didn’t want a replacement, yet he brought me another bowl of risotto which was the same as the first bowl. I sent it back. When the bill arrived, the risotto was still listed—which I accepted—but there was also a £9 optional service charge. Given the experience, I didn’t feel the service warranted it. I explained my concerns to the manager, who was understanding and removed the charge. What followed was the most uncomfortable part of the evening: the waiter returned to our table and questioned why I had removed the service charge. He explained that he works construction during the day, waits tables at night, and sends money to his family. While I empathize with his situation, this felt inappropriate and pressured—especially after a disappointing service. It came across as a guilt-driven attempt to secure a tip. I’ve never experienced anything like this at Pianillo before—and frankly, I’ve never experienced anything like this anywhere before. I hope this was an isolated incident, but it certainly left a sour taste after what should have been a pleasant family meal.
I visited Pianillo Italian Restaurant this evening with high hopes, as the restaurant is well known and comes highly talked about. Unfortunately, our experience fell far short of expectations. From the beginning, service was very slow. Our food took a long time to arrive, and much of our overall spend ended up being on drinks while waiting, hardly being able to make conversations due to the singer being extremely loud. Toward the end of the night we asked for the bill. When it arrived, I politely requested that the optional service charge be reduced from 10% to 5% due to the slow service. The gentleman who took the payment was understanding and happily adjusted it without any issue, which we appreciated. However, after we had already paid, our original server approached our table in an extremely unprofessional manner he stormed over with visible anger and aggression and said, “What did you not like about my service? Was I bad to you guys to remove the service charge?” This was said in front of all my friends, leaving me feeling shocked, embarrassed, and very uncomfortable. I want to be clear service charge is optional for a reason. We were not refusing to pay it entirely and did not cause a scene we simply requested a reduction due to slow service. Being confronted in such a hostile way after payment was completely inappropriate and unacceptable. I did not want to escalate the situation or embarrass anyone, but being put on the spot like that in front of my group was deeply unpleasant. Sadly, this interaction overshadowed the entire evening and left us with a very bitter final impression. For a restaurant with such a strong reputation, the lack of professionalism in handling feedback was disappointing. I hope management addresses this, as no guest should be made to feel uncomfortable or intimidated for exercising an optional choice.
This restaurant handled allergies and intolerances very poorly. I explained that I’m allergic to dairy, yet I was told I could have anything on the menu — which clearly isn’t true, considering many dishes included cheese, such as the pizzas and pastas. There was no allergen guide available either, which was disappointing. The food itself wasn’t great, and the menu offered limited options, especially for desserts — there wasn’t even a sorbet available. That said, the service was good. The staff regularly checked on the tables to see if we needed anything, and the atmosphere was enjoyable. There was a DJ when we visited, which created a great vibe.
Visited this resturant last night for a birthday celebration which was the worse mistake - manager was snappy moody and plain rude - poor bar guy was trying to do drinks serve food and take orders - food wasn't as good as normal and the place was empty so that shouldn't of been and issue - normally use this resturant once a month but will now think again due to service last night and my sons birthday meal ruined
