Even though the management has changed, the quality hasn't changed at all... In fact, it's truly motivating to come back again and again, and above all, that Davide hasn't lost its reputation. The atmosphere is bright, spacious, and welcoming. The staff is friendly and always helpful... and last but not least, the gelato is some of the best in town! You'll never get bored eating your gelato. The flavors aren't too heavy, nor are they too sweet. Here you can find something that's lost in other gelato shops: Quality! Congratulations! 5 stars absolutely deserved!

All the gelato flavors are fantastic! From the amarena, which is truly bursting with sour cherries, to the hazelnut, pistachio, not to mention the Amalfi Coast gelato and the dark chocolate. Superlative. We also asked for the capon magro. Fantastic!! Thank you!

Davide's ice cream has been my go-to for over fifty years. When the bar closed, I thought I'd never eat ice cream of that caliber again. I was wrong. Plus, the prices are absolutely fair and not at all expensive.

This is by far the best ice-cream i have ever tasted, not just in Chiavari but everywhere else I have been as well. In particular, I strongly recommend their stracciatella ice-cream, I have never tasted anything like it. The portions are also very generous and the price is good too. The bar also serves food at lunchtimes and this is of top quality as well as great price. All the staff are extremely friendly and welcoming. I strongly recommend this place to anyone who likes good food, particularly ice-cream.

Il gelato di Davide, nella zona di Corso Dante, è in concorrenza con il Verdi nel senso che ci sono i fan di uno o dell'altro. Io ho sempre mangiato un ottimo gelato da Davide perché la sua consistenza è cremosa ma leggera, varia ma vi si trova il gusto classico. Pensate che da ragazzina raccoglievo i lamponi in campagna per il loro gelato, più naturale di così...

We used to come very often for a delicious gelato at Davide's; we're also friends with the previous owners, until they closed. Now we're used to going to a nearby gelateria... Yesterday it was very crowded, so we decided to try the gelato at the reborn Davide's, which, as I wrote before it closed, we'd been going to for many years. In fact, after my father-in-law passed away, my mother-in-law wanted to move back home to Lavagna, and now we live here on two floors. We still have our house in Livorno on Via degli Scarronzoni, right in front of the Due Comandi. From our two-story home, I can also see the Torre Folgore and the sea. I've known this Gelateria for at least 20 years... And I must say, the new guys are kind... Good at their job. Only those of us who've tasted the old Davide's gelato can notice small differences, but the gelato is excellent, the service is fast, and they're kind. We sat at the outside tables, our 25-kg puppy comfortably seated. We ate our ice cream sundaes.... A small flaw.....the flavors we'd chosen, which were listed on the list they brought to our table, were missing. However, the ones we chose at the table were delicious. Conosco questa gelateria da decenni, il.gelato è sempre stato il migliore in assoluto, purtroppo non è più così, molto meno saporito e cremoso, la mitica stracciatella del Davide...finita, comunque resta sempre nella media si sente che è un gelato artigianale, per chi lo assaggia per la prima volta va benissimo ma io ho altri ricordi

Very disappointing service. We went one evening to get two milkshakes: when we asked, the girl rolled her eyes and sighed, without even a smile or a minimum of courtesy. I would have preferred she told us clearly that they could not be made. The milkshakes? Better to skip over them. We will not return.
