Other than forgetting my well-done fries almost every time, this place is great. Always clean, always fast and always excellent food. The consistency of experience is incredible and what makes this five stars. This restaurant in particular is brutally crowded 24/7 unfortunately.

It was packed inside and the line was long for the drive thru...I think everyone was there, LOL We enjoyed sitting inside for about 20 min waiting for our order to go. The food was delicious and will definitely go back again! I ordered no salt on my double cheeseburger and fries and it was perfect! What an organized team they have inside preparing the food... impressive to watch the flow!

It's what you expect at in n out busy but worth it

This place is a classic! The food is always good no matter which location you go to. This one tends to always be busy though! Sometimes the drive-thru line is way down the street though so when we visit we go inside. It's usually packed in there too. The workers do a pretty good job keeping the place clean but it's hard when it's busy. It's a good place for a juicy burger and some salty fries!

I love in n out burger. Every time I visit, I'm not disappointed. Maybe it's because we don't have any near where I'm from, but I've never had a complaint whenever I do come to Cali.

Always good. Always busy. I only like to eat there if I'm having fries. I like them fresh. Food was quick even though they were busy. They are always so helpful. Double double animal style with an animal style fries is my go to.

You can never go wrong when you visit any in and out!!! We always opt to go in for our order regardless if we will be in dinning in, because of the typically very long drive thru lines. My boyfriend always orders the double double, I always get a grilled cheese with extra everything and add grilled onions, we share an order of animal fries, and we never forget to bring Corona our Border Collie a doggie pattie! The portions are very large, and the produce is fresh. Everything is made to order, never sitting under a heat lamp or in a warmer. I've never had bad customer service, and considering how busy their restaurants stay they do a great job keeping them reasonably clean. This particular visit I did need to use the restroom, and so did my boyfriend, with exchanged notes and both were very disappointed in the condition of the facilities. Let's say women hover!

Vegetarian options - Excellent grilled cheese vegetarian option. Good prices. The milkshakes are super thick and extra creamy. The French fries are not as crispy as some places, a little dry and not much salt. Not the best fries, but still good and very reasonable priced. Lots of staff and quick, friendly service.

What can I say? it's In and Out! Great value, great place to take kids, teams, etc... Burgers are consistently good. I like to ask for extra lettuce, which is free. For vegetarians, you could order a grilled cheese, it's a burger without the meat and isn't on the menu. I prefer going into the restaurant versus waiting for the drive through, both are rather efficient but I believe there is a slight edge in the time of getting your order. Also inside there are clean bathrooms, and free water.

Drive thru rocks and the food is still awesome!

This is one place you can call a fast food place always clean me. Good service, wheelchair, accessible children love it and the prices are definitely reasonable.

Amazing... it's like going back on a time machine

This place was truly remarkable. I noticed there were over 12 young individuals working in the back, and as someone who has owned a restaurant, I typically avoided hiring young employees. However, they all performed exceptionally well. The lobby was bustling with customers, and the drive-thru extended down the street for what seemed like half a mile. Despite the high demand, they managed it efficiently. I was amazed at their speed; I was customer number 55, from 34 customers. I was surprised how quickly I got my order.

Hands down... my favorite burger place! In-N-Out Burger uses only the freshest ingredients. Nothing fake about this place, even the french fries are hand sliced at this establishment. My favorite thing to eat here is a cheeseburger * animal style ( toasted bun with grilled onion ). This burger fills me up for the whole day, it's huge! Don't worry if there is a long drive thru line... they move fast. I love how simple and cheap the menu is and the employees are ALWAYS super friendly. Save your appetite for In-N-Out Burger, you'll be glad you did!

So if you have never been to an In-N-Out you are missing....out! Never have I had a bad experience or bad food. They do one thing and do it well. The food is still real, the people are happy to work there and it shows. There are no "fake smiles" here. It is supposedly a Christian owned chain. The burgers have shrank over the years, but that is to be expected due to inflation. They are still the best value in food quality, value, and atmosphere. DO NOT worry about the lines. They move fast! Real fast! I have been puzzled why people wait so long in the drive through line, when I have parked, got out and ordered and got my food before the last car drove through. But hey, we are all different!

I was in town for my son‘s wedding. Every chance I get I go to In-N-Out Burger. This In-N-Out Burger is well run. The service is excellent. The takeout line was short and the drive-through was full. The food is excellent as usual. I can’t wait to go again.

Long line but worth the wait. Food was good at a decent price

This place really puts all other burger places to shame. They are always just too busy for me. Maybe if they had better French fries I would wait in the long line. My guess is in-n out has a most affordable healthy burger out there. If you go inside and order your wait will usually be cut in half.

This is my go to in Chico. In-N-Out is delicious and this place does it very well. I get the Double Double Animal Style with a Dr. Pepper. Their fries are heavenly for their style and if you want to try something mind-blowing... you need to order their Animal Style Fries. Staff are friendly, they are also cared for and won't be out there taking your order in 100-degree temps (thank goodness) and the line moves fast in the drive-thru and inside.

Obviously they are always on their A-game and provide the tastiest and highest quality fast-food that hardly even feels like "fast-food." They have kept their prices extremely reasonable while it seems everywhere else has become ridiculously overpriced. We love it here, it's a family favorite for sure! 🥰

I just waited for 42 minutes at the drive thru, and I don't even care

I'm a little bit biased here because I did come with a party of about 20 others. We came here after a sports event and the restaurant was already quite full, but we took all 20ish of us and got in line and we all had relatively simple orders (DoubleDouble, Fries, Shakes, Etc.) and service was great considering our large size. We got our soft drinks out quickly and then there was more than ample seating outside. However, it did take a large portion of time for us to begin receiving our food, starting with our shakes, fries, and then burger. I'll give In-N-Out some credit due to the large order that we placed, but there was a fair portion of mistakes in our orders. We were missing several of our correct shakes, some of the toppings on our burgers got mixed up; the food however was quite good and were great quality considering the fact that it was a fast food restaurant. Overall, with a party as large as mine was, I would most certainly come back here because the food was good, and they were patient and relatively efficient.

Always a great place to stop and feed the family. I love to take my golden retriever by after he does therapy dog visits at the schools and hospitals. He gives 5 barks of approval for the burger patties. Top-notch staff at this In-N-Out! Philip, that's often at the pay window, does a great job very friendly and competent. 5 stars 🌟

I gave up fast food decades ago,but In and Out serves meals that I feel I can trust. The quality for fast food is fantastic, and you're actually getting genuine food,not some fillers like other burger places The fries are amazing! They're best if eaten right away. The burgers are delicious, and they accommodate picky decisions with toppings with no problem. Most of all I love the employees. They're always pleasant and kind. The dining room is clean, and they run a tight organized ship with ease. It's a busy place,but it's so worth it knowing the quality is good. Prices are reasonable, and the consistency of experience is reliable.

Jovahny is a top-tier employee—10/10! His customer service is outstanding, and he’s an all-around great individual. I had a bug on my car, and before I even noticed it, he had already taken care of it. It’s rare to find such genuine and thoughtful people these days. In-N-Out should definitely hire more awesome team members like him!

In and out always have good food with a simple menu. They are usually very busy with limited seating depending when you come. Parking can be a hassle as well since they are packed. Aside from this they are a good place to eat with very helpful and friendly staff.

Got there just before noon we went inside to eat. The line was surprisingly not long. We ordered 2 double 🙌 didn't have to wait to fine a table. Didn't take long to receive our foot. All and all it was great

The morning crew on Dec 15 2025 was above and beyond. We came in around opening and had the best in n out I’ve ever had. We have come here a lot for the last 15 years and this was the absolute best I have ever had. We are never disappointed here, but we’ve had in n out in two other states and it’s never been as good as Chico. The whole crew was in a great mood, and super friendly. After being gone 6 years california living in northwest wisconsin, i'm being able to come back to California. The animal style cheeseburger did not disappoint. My wife also had the animal style cheeseburger protein style, and it is her favorite. It was also top notch We have Culvers back here and they have really good burgers with everything. Yeah, but you have to specially ask for the melted cheese. It makes a big difference, good job.

Great food like all locations. This restaurant attracts a lot of business, but they move the customers through efficiently. They were well-staffed when I was there and the staff at the register properly dealt with the issue when my order was messed up. Thank you for making it right In-n-Out Chico. I love In and Out! Probably my most favorite restaurant since moving to California. I have Celiac Disease and they do a wonderful job keeping my food safe and with cross contamination they do superb. I’ve never gotten sick yet from eating at In and Out! I get the Protein Style burger with fries and it’s always the same and delicious. I also appreciate how friendly and nice the staff always are. The food here was amazing, as for any In-N-Out Burger. There is ample seating and the location is perfect for those long drive-thru lines. This location in particular doesn’t leave chillies out unless you ask which I found interesting. Overall, I would visit again. I would recommend the double double with chopped chilies and grilled onions. With a side of fries with grilled onions and spread. Basically animal style fries without the cheese.

I love how efficient the staff are. They are always cheerful, courteous, and quick, even when it's super busy. One of the best fast food burgers in town. They are also very good about getting your order correct. I don't think I have ever had anything missed or remade which happens all the time with other fast food joints. The biggest reason for only 4 stars is that fast food is a complete misnomer with in n out. You're lucky if you can have the food in your hand in under 20 minutes and sometimes it's an hour. Kids still like it enough that I'm willing to put up with it on occasion but if you want something quick, go somewhere else.

I usually go here for burgers or a shake. Don't plan on going through the drive thru unless you bring your camping gear. The line is crazy long just about all day long. Mild exaggeration about the wait, it goes pretty quick most of the time. It's sometimes faster to go inside and order. The burgers are good, but I'm not really sure why everyone loves this place so much. It's good, but it's not as good as most make it out to be, IMO. If you haven't had it, you should try it. If you have had it then you're either yelling at me through your screen for not worshipping it, or you're sensible and you agree with me.

Although the food is always amazing here, and the prices are a lot better than most restaurants, the lines at this particular location are very long. If you plan on coming here around lunchtime or dinnertime, plan to be waiting a while to order and receive your food. The drive through line is frequently wrapped around the corner, which sometimes interferes with traffic along the small road.

This place did have good burgers and I loved that they had fresh tomato lettuce and onions on them! But the fries were weird like they were air fried or something. They were hard in the middle. The atmosphere is no different than any other fast food place. But I liked that they had outdoor tables so we could sit outside on such a nice day. We stayed at the Oxford hotel right across the street and every night that drive thru line went completely past our whole hotel. I timed it, it took a particular car over 20 min to get to the curve on the restaurant's lot but it still had to go around and behind the building! I cannot believe people are that lazy to sit there for a half hour to get fast food.

Best bang for the buck if you want a basic hamburger. This location is always busy but they are still relatively fast in the drive-thru. Due to the popularity of the restaurant, it is usually dirty inside. They keep the bathrooms clean, but not the dining room. It's very noisy due to the open kitchen and the busy restaurant. Don't expect to hold a conversation here. I prefer to get take out. Probably the only place you can still get a coke, fries and two burger for less than $10. Also, large parking lot but still quite full. Like I said, very popular and very busy.

In the Chico location the drive thru line is just crazy long all the way down the street even in over 100degrees temps etc. Makes me wonder is in & out burger putting some addictive ingredients in the food 🤔?? Lol FYI, even sugar is addictive so it's a real possibility! For real tho, that drive thru line is crazy all day and nite (business hours) Soooooo to end this review, my grown kids love this place I went with them during a family visit, myself I'm veggie and don't eat fast food, honestly if you are a veggie and your family takes you their I highly recommend the chocolate shake and french fries. Much enjoyable and didn't get sick after. ⭐⭐⭐

My order was taken wrong. The lady taking the orders tonight was really rude. The lady at the window that handed me my drinks and food was really rude as well about fixing the mistake. I wasn't given one of my sodas so I told the girl and she gave me a cup full of foam and like no soda. The cheese burgers I ordered looked like they were not cooked long enough because it was served raw in the middle. This was really odd because normally in and out has great service.

I’ve loved inn and out for years, that changed today 20+ min wait on a to go order, the fries tasted like I bit a raw potato and where 100% soft even tho I tried to eat them immediately. TO TOP IT ALLLLL OFF THERE WAS A HAIR IN MY BURGER, this hair did not at all match mine or anyone who’s even been in my vehicle. Never go 5-7 pm if you actually want to continue enjoying inn and out

The food was amazing as always! I have to get wraps because I have an unusual illness that I can not eat sucrose. I ordered a diet coke but apparently the server (who was clueless and messed up our order serving 1 burger instead of 4 and then started to argue) must have given me a regular coke instead. Now I am in pain 9+/10 which i will have to deal with for possibly up to two weeks. I wish people would understand that not everyone that orders diet are only worried about weight gain, but some of us have illnesses that can be extreme pain inducing or even life threatening. The server had no idea what he was doing and was just laughing about our order.
