My co-worker and I had the Menudo and it was great, ( i just wished it would have more meat and grain) we also ordered Horchata drink and that really blow my mind, it was the best Horchata ever. 👌🏼
This is a nice place to come and eat. It Doesn't matter what you want too get it'll be good. You can even go outside and sit down on some tables and eat they have those (misters) that spray water but it sprays away from you so when the wind blows you feel the nice coolness, or you can eat inside either way I'd recommend coming here for some good food. They have good customer service and the waiters are awesome too they will bring you your food and come get the dishes from your table. 👍❤️🔥
Moy rico! The food is very tasty and the Crispy taco are the best in town.
I was really impressed with this place! I asked for extra spicy and they provided me with a good amount of salsa on the side. The staff was very nice. I got the al pastor burrito, it was delicious! The only thing I can say is that they are a little more pricy than other local taco trucks, but I think it might be worth the extra price. I will be coming back!
Great Street tacos! Carnitas was amazing. Bonus surprise salsa bar with many different delicious salsas! Mango was delicious. Will definitely be back before we leave town!
We have enjoyed the Quesabirria, shrimp and fish tacos here several times. My favorite tacos in Chico. Outside seating is spacious and good for larger groups. I've ordered over the phone several times. Have them repeat the order. The salsa bar is the bomb. Super friendly service every time. Parking can be a problem when they get busy.
I had the quesabirria tacos and they were delicious. My daughter had a lengua california burrito and the meat was soft moist and flavorful. My husband had the street tacos and the salsa selection was on point. Specially loved their mango nopal picadillo had never had that combo but from now on it will be my favorite.
Mi Jalisco can do no wrong! Everything that I’ve ever ordered there has always been REALLY GOOD. They have a good selection of aguas frescas, Mexican beers, and desserts. They will even cater the aguas frescas. I’ve ordered horchata and agua del pepino y limón in the past. If you’re looking for food recommendations, I would go for the menudo or caldo de res during the winter time or mariscos (aguachiles.. mojarra frita etc.) in the summer time.
Oh my Goodness!!! THE BEST TACOS EVER!!! Carnitas tacos with rice and beans was only 10.99 but the tacos were so big I got full. So much flavor. Super friendly. FRESH Agua fresca!! I'm so excited to find this place.
Great Food, Great Service, Unfortunate surrounding environment as time went on after opening, but that isn't their fault. Highly recommend.
Well...this is a review. The food is good. I think it is in line with everything else post covid in terms of $$. The young ladies that work here are all very nice amd always smile. The food is tasty. Can get busy here at any time. You may have to wait for food, but it will likely be satisfying. Parking is suicidal in the two places in front of the business. The other two places are easier backed in.
Best inexpensive Mexican food in Chico!
Great menu choices, food is delicious! Wait during the lunch rush was shorter than expected.
It had a great time with my wife and the food was awesome. The mango salsa at the salsa bar was the best.
I ordered 4 asada tacos, and they went above and beyond by giving me extra chips, onions, and lime without me even having to ask. The tacos were delicious and packed with flavor. I also ordered their house-made cucumber/lime agua fresca — honestly, that’s the main reason I chose them, and it did not disappoint! Refreshing, perfectly balanced, and so tasty. Friendly service and great food. I’ll definitely be coming back!
Food is fresh and delicious. The Taquitos are excellent!. Fresh desserts, Pina mango is Chef's Kiss.
The food here is pretty good! We got a pastor burrito, birria tacos, shrimp tacos, and crispy carnitas tacos. My faves were definitely the birria tacos and the shrimp tacos - they were so flavorful and I would definitely get them again! My husband enjoyed his burrito and the carnitas crispy tacos were good too, but I will for sure be back for the birria and shrimp tacos. The rice was good and the beans were fantastic. The Jamaica was yummy and refreshing on a hot day! Paid about $60 for 3 taco plates (7 tacos total), Jamaica, and a supreme burrito.
The food here is bomb! Meat was savory and Burritos were the perfect size for the price. Would eat here again!
Omg! The food is beyond words. I’m from Texas and finding authentic Mexican food is hard. This place has blown me away. The birria noodles and tacos were finger licking good. The state berry horchata was great. The only bad part is the little park next door with homeless people. But aside from that…5 star!!!
quesabirria tacos = an internal warm greasy hug that leaves you filled with joy. Carnitas burrito very tender roasty style. Great pork forward flavor. Table macha sauce is a welcome touch. Salsa bar has it all from sweet tomato based to habanero. I fully expect to get extra chonky as i eat my way thru the whole menu. I'm ok with this.
The salsa bar is everything.
This place is delicious! Camarones a la crema is one of my favorite dishes here. The crispy fish tacos are also tasty!!
Absolutely loved this place ,went for the first time on my birthday really enjoyed everything, very nice people ,the quesabirria plate with rice and beans is amazing and the horchata with strawberries is delicious, will definitely revisit!

Best mexican food I've had out here. Legit salsa bar. Portions are great. Breakfast was great.
Love this place. They have a great salsa bar, chips come with food. Portions are LEGIT and priced right. Service is friendly, you order at the register and they bring out the food. Try the pozole, I loved it.

First couple of visits the carnitas burrito was very good. Ingredients were prepared well and they constructed it with the right ratio, so everything blended to a great overall flavor and texture. Red sauce on the side. However, after a few visits started noticing, either more fat allowed into the finished construction, recognizably less carne, and/or the ratio was off, which resulted in a far more inferior finished product. When their good, their good...just not consistent. The tacos dorados de carnitas are pretty good all the time, though. If they get back to good quality control, I would be happy to offer a 5 rating.
The food was delicious 😋 as 2 of my party said. Unfortunately whomever took our order didn't listen 👂 closely and we had requested "NO BEANS" on my dinner. Since I had just gotten out of the hospital I decided to bring mine home 🏡. After reheating mine, I cut into it for a bite, it was full of BEANS ‼️. YUCKY, I COULDN'T EAT MINE. THE NICE THING IS ONCE I CONTACTED THEM THEY OFFERED TO REPLACE MY MEAL ‼️ THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR DOING THE RIGHT THING 😊
I had the california burrito. It barely stayed closed when I opened it. Take that as good or bad i guess. The flavor was great. Their salsa bar was above average. About 8 different flavors at least. Would recommend and definitely will return.
Went for lunch with a group of coworkers. The location isn't my favorite. It is right next to the train tracks, but we didn't have much an issue with that. We had heard that the crispy tacos were good there, so that is what I had. Can confirm that the crispy tacos are worth the trip. Large tacos with lots of cheese and tasty insides. I had the carnitas which was good not great, but overall, I enjoyed. I enjoyed their chips as well. A little on the thick side, and crunchy....perfect for salsa. The interior of the restaurant is small, but quaint and well maintained. Only a handful of booths, but they also have a good sized patio that we chose to sit on. Will definitely be back to try more of the menu.
Sold me expired chips(Date I received chips 2/3/24) Not gonna kill me, but it is a business… Ceviche bomb y tacos deliciosas!
Cute place, friendly staff, big menu, good food! I found them on Instagram and saw their post of the gordita plate looked yummy, tasted yummy! Good churros and refreshing agua fresco (lime/cucumber)

Everything was okay. Nothing stood out as good or amazing. Sadly, the salsa lacked flavor. I was a bit let down because I love a salsa bar.... If you want some mediocre Mexican food, you would probably enjoy this restaurant. The only item I didn't like was the tres leches piece of cake I got. I was dry, and that was a really let down.
The food is really good, like the best in town, but don’t expect to get your correct order. There’s definitely a disconnect between the person taking the order and the people making the food. 😭

Service was friendly, however the accuracy of the order was not right, the ceviche I ordered looked uncooked even though this dish is simple it didn't look right. We did entrain ourselves looking at the homeless camp across the street. They seem to be busy despite this. I will not come back here
All i can say is everything was mid. Tbh wasn't worth it, they messed up our orders n barely had chicken in my burrito. However, they gave complimentary chips n have open salsa bar.
I order their barria tacos at least once a week, but nothing is more disappointing when u tell them over and over to get the order right. It’s never different and they still don’t get it. I modify 1 ingredient. If you’re gonna go don’t door dash or call it in, go and tell them exactly what you want or you won’t get it. Good food tho
I am super disappointed with this place. I come here every Sunday about the same time. 2 Sundays in a row now they can’t seem to make an order correctly. Last time I requested extra rice and was charged for it… got home with my meal to find less than normal rice. This time I requested #10 2 crispy tacos supreme meal as always. This time she hands me 2 tacos no rice no nothing I said I asked for a meal she then proceeded to tell me they only charge me for 2 chicken tacos.. then want to charge me for a side of rice and beans not charge me for a meal I asked for.. plus the .75 they add every time I use my card. Also the music is way too much. Way too loud for a seating area that can only hold 15 people at max. Super disappointing over the quality of customer service.
First time trying this place, we got a burrito and taquitos. The burrito was pretty small and didn't have a lot of flavor. The meat on the taquitos were also bland. Overall probably won't come again.

The weekend lady puts vey little bit of meat and lettuce in my crispy taco. The weekday man who knows me does stuff my crispy taco worth 5 bucks.
This place has gotten worse and worse, they employ little kids who don't know how to listen and take an order correctly. And when they do the cooks struggle to make quality food. Ever since they started door dash service the quality has dropped significantly. I keep giving them benefit of doubt cause of the terrible turnover, but now I'm over it.
I stated multiple times that I can’t eat cilantro which apparently means EXTRA cilantro. Drove back to have them fix it. Got home and there is tons of cilantro in the guacamole. I will never try their food again. The only good thing I can say is that the cashier was very nice.
If I could give no stars I would. Right when I walked in, the female at the cash register had the rudest look, she definitely treated me differently than the other customers and I got a feeling it’s because I look white. Seeing how full her tip jar was, I’m very sure that’s exactly what it is. Being a Mexican and looking white, I’m used to it but this was the first from a restaurant. Get it together. When I asked if they had whole pinto beans she gave me the dirtiest look and replied by saying she “didn’t know what pinto beans were.” And chuckled, as if I hadnt a clue as to what Mexican food is.. if it’s not her trying to make me feel dumb, how does she believe refried beans are made? I was so close to walking out but I wanted to try this place and didn’t want to let a little unhappy 16 year old girl ruin a potentially good place. But it was off to a horrible start. A good sign it’s not a good place to return seeing that they hire angry, discriminatory people. Not only was the service the worst I’ve ever experienced but the fact that I ordered a vegetarian burrito that consisted of absolutely nothing, but just tons of black beans and maybe 2 pieces of lettuce a couple chunks of tomatoes. For NINE dollars. $9. Absolutely insane. Such a waste of money.
I ordered a grilled veggie burrito from them off of Door Dash and found small pieces of steak in my burrito. I have had this burrito several times, and I know what the texture and taste of what is supposed to be in the burrito. I found two pieces about the size of the pieces in the picture, they were tough like steak. I cannot eat meat, it makes me sick. Do not eat here if you have allergies or sensitivities, it’s not worth the risk.

We went there yesterday and it wasn't that great. They brought our food to the table at separate times and mine came out last and way later. We ordered burritos and they only had about 4 small pieces of meat and were mostly filled with beans & rice. Their salsas weren't great either, not spicy, tasted weird like from a can and others tasted watered down. Also, wish their lights were just on solid & not blinking... it was just loud, obnoxious, annoying, and to much money for your order to be brought out one item at a time and be mostly beans & rice. Just sayin...
The waitress thats there right now 01.07.2026 at 3:41 pm is the most rudest waitress ever we come here at least 3 to 5 times a month and food order was wrong she debated on food, food was gross this time around she was all bothered about it. To think I tipped ahead of time I would have never tipped a rude person like that!!
The evening lady cooks don’t know how to cook. My taco was very stale and had almost no chicken, which had no flavor. It seemed more like a lettuce taco which is why the taco was falling apart.
We’ve been regular customers at this restaurant and have generally enjoyed our visits. However, our most recent experience was disappointing. I ordered the chilaquiles, but unfortunately, the oil they were cooked in tasted rancid. When I politely mentioned it to the young woman working at the counter, she didn’t seem to care—no reaction, no apology, and no offer to remake the dish. It's disheartening to feel dismissed, especially as a loyal customer. We’ve always liked this place, but after this experience, we’re seriously reconsidering whether to return. We hope management sees this and takes steps to ensure better service and food quality moving forward.
