Awesome place never have been to a sonic with a sit in area! It was clean and staff was Awesome! Restrooms were clean!

Fanciest Sonic we've been to. Food was good. Nice to have covered tables so we could get out of the car on a pretty day. Great service. Recognize this is a Sonic.

You're a fool if you keep on driving as you pass through Childress. This place hits the spot every time. The food is served piping hot, the service is polite, quick, and courteous. There is clearly a culture of attention to detail among the staff here, and the cleanliness inside the store speaks to that. The napkins and condiments are in adequate supply, restrooms are in good condition, and there's plenty of seating inside.

I just want to shout out to Mr. Ret Butler, thank you so much for helping my family the other night when we broke down in the sonic stall. God bless you sir. Your crew is fortunate to have such a great manager. The food we ordered too before our unfortunate event was perfect and tasted fresh.

I love my Sonic. I stopped by Whataburger late last to get a burger and ended up waiting for 20 min. and left. Then I came on across the street to My Sonic, which is where I SHOULD have gone to begin with. The prices are the best. The food is the best and I was in and out in about 20 min after eating.

Just got rebuilt, and it turned out to be very nice! Drive-in stations are all workimg now. The team seems to be better organiced too, taking less time to fulfill orders than before... and their shakes are great!!!

Easy location and fast service. I tried the new 2 for 5 and was not impressed with the cheeseburger, I was expecting it to taste like a sonic hamburger but it matched McDonald's more. But I can't give less than 5 stars for that, I should have read what it was lol

You can't beat this sonic. The food is always hot and made correctly. The milk shakes are thick and don't turn into liquid like other fast food locations. They have great prices on drinks when you use the Sonic App to order your food. Lots to choose from on the menu. This is my go to Sonic when I'm in the area.

They have a little restaurant inside as well as pulling up. That's a great feature

Good food and courteous service, great new look for this Sonic.Tried their dill pickle fries, if the dill pickle was a stronger taste would be an improvement but tasty as they are. Will include them in the next order.Too bad their promotional on the dill pickle fries is no longer available. No sale of food for me. Although my grandson had a burger ,fries and a cheesecake shake. He enjoyed the food.

Stopped here on a road trip, didn't have a lot of options. I feel like Sonic locations are extremely hit or miss, but thankfully, this one is a great option. Our food was fresh, our order was accurate, the service was friendly, and the restrooms inside were very clean. We drive this route a lot on our travels so we will be back! We stopped here for a quick lunch before grocery shopping. It was noon and there was a line inside and only a couple of available parking spaces so we thought that it would take awhile. Not so. They took our order in less than 2 minutes and it was delivered to our car in 5 minutes. The food was good and exactly what we ordered and only cost $14.00 for 2 chicken strip dinners. This was a very efficient operation.

Update 6/28/24 the food was great as always the service was just as good, but as we started to eat our meal a young man was going on his lunch break, not even 5 minutes later his manager walks out with a piece of equipment, he started getting on to him about how he broke it, and that he had just fixed it and it cost him $200, and now he's going to be out $400 he walked away mumbling who knows what, he pops his head out a couple of minutes later yelling at the young man that he only has 6 minutes left. That's pretty unprofessional, not to mention that he was saying that it was costing him money like it was his place, when I know that man bounces around from restaurant to restaurant, he's barely even a manager there. These kids, and their bosses work hard, and the food is always good, not too many restaurants out there that I can say that about!

This is the first Sonic that I have eaten inside. Was very clean and all the staff were on point!!!

One of the best Sonics I have been to. We ate inside today at lunch time. They were very busy, so we had a short wait to order and a little longer than normal wait for food. It was still fresh and delicious! Its always chilly in there though, so wear a light jacket or hoodie.

We pulled in 10 minutes before closing. We ordered hot dogs, chili dog, cheese tots, and shakes. Our food was freshly cooked and hot. The service was very friendly. They gave us plasticware for every item, napkins, and condiments... without us asking. This probably sounds simple but most places miss the mark on these things. Enjoyed our visit and will definitely stop in again sometime. Sorry for pulling in so close to closing time and thank you for being sweet and not mentioning it or complaining!

This was easily the best fast food burger I’ve had in a very long time! It was served hot and fresh, exactly how I asked for it (light mayo and ketchup and no pickles). The meat tasted well prepared and fresh and the toppings were perfect. Bacon was crispy and cheese slightly melted.The tater tots were warm, crispy and perfectly salted. The cherry limeade is spot on. The service was with a smile and this Sonic outdid themselves! The food was awesome and super happy we stopped in for food on our long road trip across country! Way to go Sonic.

Great Car Hop Service! They really do race your order to you! Really impressed with this Sonic in Childress. I have never seen one with a drive thru and restaurant style seating area before.

Sonic is Sonic. It's one of my favorite fast food burger places. This particular Sonic has a nice dine in area with a television usually tuned to children friendly shows.

18 wheeler accessible. Park in South side. As far as Sonics go this one is pretty on point. I had a chicken sandwich and it was cooked perfectly. Seems like everyone burns grilled chicken these days.

When traveling thru Childress I enjoy stopping in this Sonic (mainly because it's a location that has indoor seating lol). The service is friendly and the food is the same as any other Sonic. The restaurant area is nice and it's clean.

I love Sonic! This one has good food, but our carhop was not among the smart people. Seriously, if you work in anything that deals with cash, you need to know how to count change!!

I don't particularly like Sonic's food as it is incredibly calorie dense, but they have their drink game here at the peak level. Service is always wonderful. Atmosphere is meh, it's right along a very busy highway at a major intersection and the menu boards are very frequently malfunctioning.

Never have any issue with Sonic in general I mean I may come across one every now and then that forgets my tots or something but they always take care of me if that does happen other then that for them having younger kids working for them I think its great the service is good and with my kids they like to think of things after we have already ordered but I can pull up to the window and say hey can I add on a small drink and no problem they make it happen with as little stress as possible I personally love sonic as well as my family if you are from out of town and have never had Sonic well I suggest dropping everything and heading down and checking the menu out everything is good fresh and you just can't beat the drink not only the options but flavor they are always good! But it isn't a bad idea to take a sip and make sure because the reason I go 4 stars and not 5 is my biggest issue would be getting drinks that are to watered down or sweet tea that just isn't sweet or tastes old but once again it's as simple as pulling back up and letting them know and they will make it right. That is why I love Sonic by far one of my favorite places to get food if we don't have time to cook or I am running late its always good and always pretty fast!

I was excited to see a Sonic indoors, but I had to ask someone to bus a table because not a single table was cleaned. An employee cleaned one quickly and that was fine, but then the food took a bit to come out after that and there was something off about the tator tots especially. You could tell it was not necessarily set up to be a good indoor location. Glad to have the experience though.

This location may benefit from a bell on the front counter. How long you will stand at the front without being noticed is a toss up. Food was good however and the 2 staff members pleasant.

I placed order on my mobile app when I was passing through again . Traveling home. The food was very good & delicious The person who brought my order out was friendly. I thought they prepared my order very fast. Even got my two sauce as requested. But only giving it a 4 stars because they didn’t add onions to my chili cheese fries. I realized they were busy at time due to everyone picking Sonic for lunch time. Only reason why didn’t have them fix because I wasn’t charged for adding the onions This location needs to work on reading tickets better on fine details even when it gets busy.

never had a problem with my orders but here recently they're always messing up the orders and not giving what is asked for and giving old and nasty food out. Literally just ordered a popcorn chicken and there wasn't maybe one piece that had some chicken in it that I could chew, it was mostly nothing but breading and old stale Nasty chicken that was probably made hours ago...needless to say it all went in the trash....if you eat here definitely check your food and drinks before you leave.

The food was not cooked the greatest and I know it's really not the girl's fault as she's probably told to just put one ketchup but I feel like with the old large tater tots. I could have used more than one ketchup. The tater tots w e r e not crispy nor were they fresh nor did they have salt on them at all

New restaurant with dine in. The burgers not quite a good as what I expect from Sonic, the tables have not been cleaned. every time I've visited. Other than an order taker at a small counter, dinners are completely shut off from the staff by a wall that goes from floor to ceiling. That's no biggie, but atmosphere in this new kind of Sonic seems pretty sterile, lacing in warmth and not inviting. Of course the still offer a drive up window and the traditional in car dining.

Slow sometimes, orders are mixed up alot, not unusual due to most of the staff being first time at a job and in highschool. But it's good food overall, and a new building so it's clean and nice to look at.

The kiosk didn't work. Tried using the app and the app was not working either. It took a long time to get our food and there were not a lot of cars here. The food was mediocre, it was good enough to get us to the next major town. One major perk....... our server EMILY GRACE was awesome. She is a true jewel for this company. She appeared to be the only server and was working very hard. She greeted us with a smile and pleasant tone. She introduced herself and then repeated our order back to us. The kiosk wouldn't process my card so she processed it at some machine on the side of the building. She provided extra condiments with a smile when requested. We only encountered her for a very brief time, but she seems to be truly AMAZING. (Sonic if you actually review these...... give that young lady a paid Saturday night off and a raise.)

The food is delicious but everyone who works there seems to have a bad attitude they got my husband's drink Incorrect and the CarHop seem to be upset that he had to fix it. While ordering the woman over the speaker was very rushed. Please fix your attitudes

Waited for 10 minutes and when I finally got a response the girl was pretty poor at taking my order. In the middle of my order she stopped talking for a minute with no explanation. When asked she said she was looking for a button. She then tried to complete my order before I had finished. It took about 15 minutes for. It food to arrive. For context it was busy, but the car next to me got a response in 2 minutes. Only saving grace and the reason for the 2nd star was Josh our food runner who was literally running. He apologized for the wait without any prompting, gave us a coupon, and legitimately seemed to care about a problem that he had very little control of input to.

Today I witnessed something that only happens once in a generation. That is, a Sonic employee, whilst he was cleaning, discovered the lock on the men's restroom door, but only after a customer had walked inside. It surely was an amazing sight to see!

Went through the drive through at 4:08 left at 4:32 and had three meals and two drinks left with TWO MEALS and had to go back in and get my for after waiting 25 minutes!!!!

Very slow service. The order was wrong. I ordered a large Dr. pepper and they brought me a small one. They told me they would fix it. They returned with a sweet tea. I found out after I left. I was very unhappy.

It took way too long to get my small order out, it was not very busy at all. The bathroom smelled really bad and desperately needed cleaned. It was only 10 AM absolutely no reason for it to stink and look as bad as it did.

Got the chicken strips and tater tots. The taste was forgettable. The chicken was dry and tasted like it was reheated or refried. The customer service was good. I like the fact that I can order from the car AND take my time to look at the menu options. That's impossible anywhere else. I don't eat fast food often and don't know the menus well. I feel rushed in other fast food lines but when I'm driving I also don't like to pull over to use the app first.

Ordered through drive thru one number 5 and 10 burger only and they still messed up my order thinking I got a number 2 and 5 and I corrected it and then they messed up my drinks too I wanted a sprite with blue raspberry but add a little extra they did regular raspberry and I ordered a ocean water with real cherries they put cherry flavoring and my number 5 had pickles and mustard no mayo and I had no mustard or pickles. Horrible service.

She went to the bathroom then went back inside and we promptly waited another 10 minutes before someone else came out and took our order. We were the only people in the lobby. Poor customer service. Food was fine though. Regular sonic.

Got my order wrong then cried when I had them redo it. Table was wiped but it wasn’t clean; visible drink rings and smudges. I don’t need to go to Sonic again.

We ordered Extra long Chili Cheese dogs. Only to receive them with no chili, just cheese and onions. To make the matter worse. They took back our order, only to slop chili on the first order. Not a pretty picture. We won't stop there, ever again.

I don't even want to give this place 1 star. First, got in a stall that didn't work so I went to the drive-thru and then proceeded to wait for 25 min without any explanation of what was taking so long. I finally just left without my food when the person behind me backed out and left too. Save your time and go to the golden chick or something across the street. Way to showcase Childress, Sonic!

Very bad customer service... Closed an hour early Workers are lazy and wait until the end of the day to clean restrooms. All in all they need to overhaul the workers thier and replace them with workers who do thier job whether or not they like thier job. The manager needs to step up to the plate and put order back into sonics work force. It looks like the workers run the show and they do a bad job at doing this by making choices to close the sonics an hour early under thier own authority.

Almost broke my tooth on all the gristle in their meat. Every bite i had to spit out hard pieces. Disgusting! You're better off eating at the gas station across the street.

We come from Houston and my daughter loves Sonic and so do I and she loves to eat their hot dogs but for some odd reason when we stop to make a pit stop my daughter wanted to eat Sonic so we stopped at Sonic and she wanted a hot dog and the hot dog was like a hot dog from a barbecue pit and it wasn't cooked all the way what a waste but they did have nice people there

I was just having a normal Sunday, got in the pick up and rode on down to the sonic to get me a soda water. I pulled up in the carport and waited for service and there weren't no carhops. Then I looked up and the damn building had been bulldozed! I don't think I'll ever recover from this outrage.

Stopped by this place on Christmas Eve on my way passing through 10 minutes before they closed. I didn't even know they were getting ready to close. Ordered a 5 piece chicken dinner meal with a Coke Zero. Received my order, it was piping hot, however, the tenders they gave me were for a kids meal. Not to mention, I did not get my piece of toast and my drink did not taste right. It tasted like it was spiked with cinnamon. I at the tenders, tots but had to throw out the drink as it was the nastiest I have ever tasted.

Just over all, I have had bad experiences here passing through. My order always seems to get botched up, and it's always the same simple order. They mean well but need to work on organization and probably communication back there.

I was very disheartened by the lack of service in this location. First I was in the pull up area for about 12 minutes before deciding to go in. Then, was in line behind one other couple while Aislynn, your worker, proceeded to ignore the fact that anyone was standing there for about another 3-5 minutes. She finally took the other couples order and then mine. Twenty- eight minutes later, the first couple got their 2 drinks. That is correct, 2 medium drinks. Finally my order came from a very rude boy. I will not go back and will tell everyone I know that travels this direction not to stop their eitherrude

Ordered a #1 with mayo an a #3? Dbl bacon cheeseburger with mustard a order of fried pickles order was rang up wrong but repeated back correctly by cashier I didn't receive fried pickles nor was it on my receipt both burgers were made wrong #1 had Mayo an ketchup the #3? Had Mayo not mustard Took to counter told mgr lady it was wrong an what we wanted she came back out to confirm how we wanted to make it correct statement that they were made the way they was rang up smh. I explained to her again she was confused asked again I explained again she started to walk off then stop asked again confused look I hate to repeat myself especially 3 times so I just asked for a refund since that wasn't clear enough to get a burger with mustard she then got irritated said it won't go back on your card instantaneously as I was making sure my bank app showed the refund telling me if it don't I would have to call the corporate office for my money back I showed her that it infact did go back instantaneously on my bank app she said you don't have to put your phone in my face I was across the counter no where close to her face facts. This place is full of incompetent employees that can't seam to get anything right as a local business owner here in town I would recommend going to any other place in town before wasting your time an money getting charged for something you don't want. Especially seams how they can't even listen to a simple order... lady was very rude once I asked for refund even the customers before us stated they had problems with their order as well we was blessed with an awesome meal at Arby's at the pilot.

Decent. The drive thru cashier was speaking too fast. The mic must be low, because it caught every other word. Then another woman came to the window with our food and tried to rush us off before we got our drinks. Would be better if they would train their cashiers to speak more clearly and to train the crew to ask if that was everything. I've had only one bad experience here and it was an incorrect item. Made a Jr double cheese burger into a single patty burger with cheese. The manager remade it and my daughter ate every bite.

The service was horrible I ordered a bacon double cheeseburger when it arrived there was no bacon management argued that it was made with bacon but when I received it there was none. Didn't appreciate being accused of lying at a fast-food joint. No worries I won't be returning to this location ever.

They messed up two orders they top drinks of with ice so there’s no soda and bad service

Worst Sonic I’ve ever been to. Two bad experiences back to back. Was traveling and stopped on the way to where I was headed to get drinks. I had ordered in advance with the app and gave a 20 minute notice with the order. Showed up to get our slushes and drinks. Server brought our drinks and didn’t have straws. After leaving noticed the slush was not a slush and the drink ordered easy ice and it was completely full of ice. On the trip back the kids wanted sonic so we stopped again. Once again ordered on the app and submitted order 45 minutes ahead. Pulled in and checked in to a stall and waited literally 23 mins for our order before finally having to push the button and ask about it. They apologized and said order would be right out which took another 7 mins to get our order. This time got a strawberry shake with bananas but once already on the road after waiting for so long to find it to be a plain vanilla shake with 1 piece of banana in the bottom. The super sonic cheeseburger I ordered with mayo had mustard and no tomato. Will never go back to this sonic ever again.

I asked for easy ice and still gave me alot of ice. Some fries tasted so bad like it they did something to it. They know people traveling and won't be back.

Went there to get something quick waited in the lobby for 10 min then the red headed girl came out after we asked if someone was working and stated someone would be right out. After waiting another 5 min she came out and said the lobby would close in 10 min. The dark haired girl just smiled and ignored us. Don't waste your time. Very rude and disrespectful.
