Great atmosphere and service. The tots are the best. Great selection of tap beers. The energy in the tavern was positive, along with the good selection of overhead music. This a must stop when visiting downtown Chula Vista.

I had such a great time at the vogue tavern! I wish I would’ve gone on a week day to try the happy hour, nevertheless, everything was great! The vibes are great with lots of people watching the games on the tv and servers are very nice people!! Can’t wait to be back!

Good food, chill local bar, good selection of beer and it feels so local and cozy. I am local to Chula vista but I had not been here, finally made it today and it did not disappoint. We ordered German sausage sandwich, burger and tater tots, all 3 dishes were great. I am definitely coming back and they are dog friendly too.

It’s a great place to have lunch and get a drink. Plenty of televisions if you want to see your local sports. You can sit indoor or outdoor. Very friendly staff. They also have Happy Hour M-F 3-6pm

Genesis makes an awesome Cosmo!!! Great $5 happy hour specials! Love the smash burger sliders, sinfully delish!! Crispy tater tots are the best!! Keep coming back frequently!! Love the staff. Also a great sports bar!

I stopped by Vogue Tavern for a little happy hour after getting a haircut nearby. They offer happy hour Monday through Friday from 3 to 5 p.m., with an extra perk on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. When I walked in, there was a decent crowd enjoying the specials, which is always a good sign. One of the things I love about their happy hour is the $5 margaritas with different flavor options—classic, mango, and even a spicy jalapeño version. For food, I ordered the chicken sliders, which were solid, and the bratwurst, which came with Dijon mustard. While the brat itself was good, it felt a bit plain—some grilled onions or another topping would’ve added more character. While the food and drinks were enjoyable, the service was lacking. I had to flag down a bartender/server to take my order, which I understand since there were only two of them running the whole place. However, when my food arrived, I said thank you, and the server just walked away without a response. No one checked in after a few bites, and when I was ready to close out, I had to wait quite some time before getting the check. As for the ambiance, the interior has a cool, masculine vibe, heavily influenced by Star Wars—there’s even a life-size Darth Vader statue and Star Wars-themed branding. There’s plenty of seating, including a few patio spots, and multiple TVs make it a solid spot to catch a game with friends. I also heard they’re working on opening a rooftop space, though they’re still waiting on permits. They used to have the best patio on Third Avenue, but unfortunately, that closed down post-COVID. One highlight is their great German beer selection, which adds to their appeal. I’ll definitely be back, but I wouldn’t rush back, as the hospitality was just okay. A little more attentiveness from the staff would go a long way in elevating the experience.

Vogue Tavern is a modern-day Cheers, where everyone knows your name, just like the TV show. The owner is a character all unto himself and goes out of his way to say hi every time. The beer selection is wild, stacked with tasty offerings you can't find anywhere else, even in today's beer-snob society filled with breweries on every corner. Located at the end of the microbrewery hub in downtown Chula Vista, it's the perfect starting point for a pub crawl with your buddies. Start with some good food and wild European beers, then walk over to the nearly 20 breweries, bars, and restaurants on this and the next two blocks, located on both sides of the street. The food choices are simple but all tasty, the beer is cold, and the conversation is always flowing with the other patrons and staff, so you'll always feel included if you want to be. Stop by and give them a try - you won't regret it.

On this visit my friend and I ordered the large soft pretzel, wow! It was perfectly cooked. The inside was soft and the outside had a nice crisp to it. The beer cheese and mustard were a great compliment. We also ordered the mac and cheese with buffalo chicken added, as well as the buffalo chicken sandwich. Both were delicious! The only recommendation would be to make the mac and cheese larger. The large size isn't very large and doesn't match up to the rest of the dishes. All in all it was a great meal. I will be back again!!!

Had a wonderful time here. It was my birthday and wanted to try something new. What a treat! Saturday nights are bingo nights and it’s FREE! You can win free beer or gift cards. My boyfriend won 2 in row, lucky night! They have a great variety of beer and the food is delicious.

This was an unexpected surprise. I found them on the in-kind app and wasn’t sure what to expect. It was actually really welcoming from the barky to the service staff. I came on a soccer day and I was surprised to see people in there celebrating at lunchtime, but I enjoyed it. Great energy!

I placed a to go order, and everything we ordered was delicious. All though the chicken was a bit dry, we enjoyed the sausage party. My husband loved the braut dog, said it was one of the best he's ever had.

Only been here once at night when they hosted Marvel trivia night and it was such a good time. The employees/community that night was great vibes all around. If you never been I’d say try it out, you won’t be disappointed I can guarantee that.

Love Vogue Tavern. The food is great, and the staff is friendly. Prices are from 10 to 20 dollars. It's on third Avenue in Chula Vista and is in the "heart of the action". It is pretty small, but they have a lot of seats at the bar and a couple of tables.

The food pairs perfectly with whats on tap, I've had the chicken schnitzel, bangers and mash, and pretzel bites (cant recommend the pretzel bites [which are fried pretzel bits which sound good on paper but really are a way to repurpose what Im assuming to be old pretzels], but the regular soft pretzel absolutely delivers). Drink and food wise, you cannot go wrong. The staff is also super friendly and helpful, this spot is truly a gem. I almost didn't want to leave a glowing review for fear of driving more foot traffic to this place, but they absolutely deserve it. Stop by.

They don't toss the chicken wings in the sauce. They under cooked tater tots. I do not recommend the food. Beers were OK, I mean it's pretty hard to mess that up other than the price. Service from Yasmine was great.

good food, not good service, not sure why but they seemed to really not want to serve me. I was able to spend 20 dollars for a beer and a pretzel only when I walked up to the bar and asked for it. was the best pretzel ive ever had.. wish i had more service to try more stuff..

This is a dive bar and great if that's what you're looking for, I guess. We went bc the German food and beers looked good online. In person they were all greasy and a huge disappointment. The giant pretzel and the beers were good, but I wouldn't go back. The outside tables were even too small to hold did for 2 people.
