Went there for Veterans Day, it was busy but Natalia was a wonderful server and the food was really good and fresh tasting. The mango ice tea is good as was the Mexican street corn appetizer. Definitely will return.

We aren't always seated right away, but we've never had a terrible experience here. Food is good. My favorite food in the world is their Chicken Picatta. I've had others. It's never quite as good as the way CPK does it. Last time we were there, a couple members ordered the new Crispy Chicken Sandwich....LOTS of Mayo. Beware. 😂 We'll be back.

The food and atmosphere is great. The staff is friendly. The prices are getting a little high for me now. 4 of us went to eat, one ate a kid's meal and we didn't drink any alcohol. The bill with tip was around 125 dollars. Other than that everything was great.

This place was super awesome! I went around 1:30pm, so the lunch rush was over for a Friday. My waitress was super quick, and one of the managers came out with chips and guacamole, completely complimentary, seeing as how I had never been there before. I ended up ordering pot stickers from the appetizer section, and they were delicious. Plus, they don't use straws to help the environment! I'll definitely be coming back! Thank you for a wonderful lunch!

Now that happy hour ends at 6pm, we can finally go. Fernanda our server was awesome. Love the dynamite shrimp and half off all cocktails. I am finally glad there's a CPK in my hood.

I was visiting my in laws on 12/10. My mother in law has not been well. She wanted kung Pao spaghetti but it was late. I called the restaurant but i was told all phone orders had to be placed by 8:30pm. I asked if I could place my order in person. The person on the phone indicated I could place it in person. I made it to the restaurant and placed my order. I want to thank the cook Jesus Figueroa for his service, I know he was going to be off in minutes when I arrived. I am very appreciative and happy he stayed to take care of my order. When I got to the restaurant, the lead or manager greeted me and seemed bothered that I got to the restauran at 8:50. The lady took my order but she had an unfriendly attitude. When the cook was done, he called her over to let her know the food was ready, I heard him ask her if he should add bread and she said NO! I politely asked her for bread and she said, since we are now closed we do not have bread. I thanked her and she replied, next time you need to place your order by 8:30. What I want to say is that a customer should always be taken care of. I gave a tip and do plan to bring a nice gift to Jesus Figueroa for his excellent service.

Just finished a great family meal at CPK. Our waiter, Kyle, was fantastic. He was very attentive and pleasant and made the dining experience great. Our food (salad, pizza and dessert) was delicious as always. We even got $5 gift cards tonight for completing a survey about their new menu. We will definitely return soon.

Love coming here, especially for a weekday lunch. Such a good team of staffers. Cooks also solid, and experienced. I've eaten here nearly fifty times, and will use any excuse to come back. Even when there's a school event, with 50 plus people, service was still strong. I can think of no higher complements to give. Well done, all!

I recently had the opportunity to dine at California Pizza Kitchen (CPK) at Otay Ranch Town Center, and I was very impressed with the overall experience. The service was excellent, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was very inviting. Our server, was very attentive and knowledgeable about the menu. he took the time to explain the different dishes to us and make recommendations. He also made sure that our drinks were always full and that our food was cooked to our liking. We started our meal with the California Pizza Kitchen Classic, which is a large, thin-crust pizza with a variety of toppings. The pizza was cooked perfectly and the toppings were fresh and flavorful. We also had the Chicken Piccata, which was served with a lemon sauce and pasta. The chicken was cooked perfectly and the sauce was light and flavorful. There is a dedicated handicapped parking lot located near the restaurant. The lot is clearly marked and there are plenty of spaces available. The restaurant itself is also handicap accessible, with ramps and accessible restrooms. CPK has a kids menu that offers a variety of kid-friendly dishes. Our kids had the Chicken Fingers and the Grilled Cheese Sandwich, and they both loved their meals. The portions were generous and the food was cooked perfectly. We all of my family had a wonderful experience at California Pizza Kitchen at Otay Ranch Town Center. The service was excellent, the food was delicious, and the atmosphere was very inviting. I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone looking for a great dining experience. Absolutely! I would love to come back to CPK again soon. I would recommend it to my friends and family, and I would definitely bring them here. California Pizza Kitchen at Otay Ranch Town Center is a great place to go for a casual meal with friends or family.

This place has the best happy hour special in Otay ranch!! Personal pizza & pint of beer for $6, 1/2 off appetizers and drinks. I usually order the margarita, which never disappoints. All servers have been great, but Leslie is our favorite.

A late lunch on Saturday afternoon at California Pizza Kitchen proved a great choice. Service was great and fast. I ordered a cup of Baked Potato Soup and hubby had the Barley Soup, both delicious! Then the California Club Pizza, hand tossed crust, Wow! We were served a great meal in a beautiful atmosphere, relaxed, but food served hot and service on point. Plenty of waitstaff to take care of customers.

The restaurant had a nice, warm ambience. They had indoor/outdoor seating available, but we chose to dine indoors since it was a bit chilly. The food was great: we ordered the spinach artichoke dip, wild mushroom pizza and our little one had the pepperoni pizza. Definitely a nice sit-down environment if you’re looking to satisfy your pizza cravings. We didn’t feel rushed or hurried while we were there, which is always a plus.

Took advantage of the gift card promotion to buy several gift cards and also got a bonus gift basket. The gift basket included a bottle of scotch, a bottle of wine and a nice decanter! They said I got the last one, otherwise we'd be back tomorrow. Incredible deal, good food, and great service/management team - thank you Ramon, Marcus and Reuben! You made my day.

The service is amazing. Because we had a big party the manager came out to make sure we can at least be comfortable before our table is ready. They also have some good plant based dish.

Fernando and his moustache were amazing. He was very nice, did a great job at explaining the menu, and was great with the children. I'd come back just for him, tbh. The food was great, they gave the children a birthday dessert, and everyone has a good time. 10/10!

This place is my goto spot for pizza. The way they make pizza is so delicious. The atmosphere is on point. The surrounding area is also beautiful and has alot of other shopping areas and restaurants. It's a little bit on the expensive side but, it's worth it if you have the extra coin. I would definitely recommend coming here.

All I can say is CPK came through for our party of like 10-12 when we went like a week and half ago. Our server Fernando was absolutely Amazing and he made our day even better due to the fact that Cheesecake Factory took forever to even get us in when our party was there. So CPK and Fernando a big pat on the back cuz you guys are Awesome and the food was fantastic. Definitely deserve a 5 Star and I'd give 10 if it was on here. Walked in today, around 4. After walking out of 2 other establishments due to Valentine’s Day madness. So happy we ended up here. It was just the right amount of busy. Everyone that came into contact with myself or my kiddo was very kind. Food came out quickly. We both left our plates completely empty. Adrian was a wonderful server and Antonio was very helpful. A gentleman in a purple shirt brought us our food and made sure we don’t need anything else. We will definitely be back.

I have dined at California Pizza Kitchen many times. Their bread and oil appetizer is yummy. It is warm inside and crusty outside. Their pepperoni pizza is delicious. I ate a sundae which is sweet and tasty. I highly suggest this restaurant to anyone in the area. It's a must-visit restaurant in Otay Ranch Town Center for a dining experience.

We went to California Pizza kitchen for my mother's birthday, party of four. Me and my wife had ceaser salad to start fresh crispy greens and croutons. Dressing was on point. My main was the chicken tequila pasta.also very flavorful. I personally like my CTP. with a more creamy sauce. Wife enjoyed the potsticker appetizer for main , I stole most of them and yeah tasty

The last 2 times my husband and I went to dinner it was really nice. The first time there was a 15 min wait, not bad at all. The 2nd time there was no wait, and both times it was on a Friday. The servers we had both times were really fast with everything, friendly and offered to get us bread while we waited for our food. I love getting the sangria flight, it comes with three 4 oz glasses, each one is really good! And we always get the avocado egg rolls to start with, which are very tasty and filling. The 2nd time we tried a different pizza, it was a spicy one, and asked to get it on their reg dough instead of the thin. It was just enough spice, and enough to share:) We hadn't been here in a while, but I'm glad it has been nice dinners that we can have close to home when we don't have a sitter for too long.

I love their barbecue cauliflower wings, they are a bit spicy so just know they have a kick and some kids may not like that. I literally orders just a tomato soup, it came in a fancy HUGE bowl/plate, but I was a bit disappointed on the amount that was served, the plate was bigger than the amount of soup. The spaghetti on the other hand for kids was plentiful, and i was able to share some with him. Either way i love their pasta, just add more soup please 😁

Love that the pizzas have cauliflower crust options and we could substitute the meat on the salads with avocados. Highly recommend! The server was also very helpful and nice. She was super patient with our large party and plenty kids. Their kids pastas are also surprisingly really tasty. I think I'll have to borrow my nephews to come with me every now and then 🤣

Okay the food is always rates about a solid B, quantity and quantity wise. Although the service seems to be average at best. I had to get the servers attention for another table who had been trying to the servers attention, those types of things should not be happening especially at the high prices that restaurants are now charging customers.

I had the steakhouse salad which was good other than it had too much dressing on it. Next time I'll get it on the side.

For a chain, CPK has options that are fresh and well executed. I ate outdoors, where the environment was excellent. Once the food arrived, service staff were not by often and there were delays, but they were friendly and polite.

Mixed reviews from our party. I had a California Club Sandwich, which I found to be very good. A pizza was also ordered and it had absolutely no cheese on it, only a little tomato or marinara sauce w/ pepperoni and sausage. No Cheese ? They weren't pleased ! Service was good, although slow out of the kitchen, and was a long wait after ordering.

The food here is great for the first time visiting for myself. Being Celiac/Gluten free I felt very comfortable eating here. They had a lot of options for me. My friend who was not eats here all the time and loves it here! The service was good at first but he seemed to get lost after we we got our meal. We were never got refills of our drinks and it was not busy. I am not fussy nor a picky Person. But he literally just never came back. When it was time for our check we had to find him. 😆 The atmosphere was nice, clean and bright and Not to loud. Really a 4.5. I will come back definitely and hope it was just a bad day for the server. 😊

I love their dumplings and they had none the day I went. Not sure why, but that is one of the main reason I go here. The margherita pizza and pepperoni pizza was delicious as always. I tried their new "shaking beef," tasted like chow mein but I liked. My daughter really liked their Spicy buffalo cauliflower bites.

We liked the pizza and there wasn't a long wait for us to be seated. It's not my favorite pizza, but then again we all have different tastes when it comes to food. We had the traditional pepperoni pizza and the Hawaiian pizza both of which came out great. The service was also good and it's great to see such friendly staff in the restaurant because there are some that are the opposite. I would definitely go back if we're in the area again.

Surprisingly not busy but thankful for that. Had a family of 8 and we were all able to order something we wanted. The staff were friendly, accommodating and professional. No complaints about the food in flavor or serving size. Definitely a favorite place to eat at for the family

Good food, friendly staff and nice location. This CA Pizza Kitchen is in the Otay Ranch shopping area close to dozens of stores. The staff was busy during our visit, but took time to explain some items on the menu and give us time to decide on what we wanted. Overall, positive experience and we would visit again. The pizza was super tasty. I had their original BBQ chicken pizza and it was honestly the best I've had. The only reason I'm knocking down a star was because of the long wait time on a rainy Monday night.

My order though 🫤 was not it. ❌I got shrimp scampi with zucchini fettuccine---why is this even on the menu. It looked like half a serving with 15 pieces of fettuccine noodles (no joke) and the sauce left much to be desired in terms of flavor. $23+ not worth it. See sad dish below.

We requested to be seated in a quiet section of the restaurant at our request. Probably a bad idea because the table service was mostly nonexistent the majority of our meal. When we went to pay for our food, we noticed we had been mischarged. Instead of charging for half salads, we were charged for whole. We ordered half. We wondered why they seemed larger than normal. As we left a manager asked how our meal was. I said the food was great, but the service could have been better, and that they got our order incorrect. She immediately asked to see our bill. I thought she would adjust to reflect what we'd ordered, but no, she went above and beyond and refunded the full price of both salads. I wasn't expecting that. So 4 stars, for good food, and a good customer service resolution. Updated to add: on multiple subsequent visits (including the last two consecutive visits), several pizzas that had to be customized for allergies were done so incorrectly and had to be remade, causing the people with allergies to wait for their food, eating after the rest of their party had finished, or having to take it to go. Disappointing.

I love CPK. This place was so-so. Staff was great but never checked on us. We had to get them when we wanted to cash out. We had the Sicilian pizza with the chicken dumplings and a few drinks. Pizza was a little burnt and you can tell whomever the pizza cutter was had no cares in the world. Drinks were very great though. They should make a happy hour.

Service was fine, food came a little slow which is whatever normally but also my father in law's pizza came with tomatoes and my burger with onions, despite waitress writing it on the ticket. Food taste was overall fine but just meh. Don't plan to go back again

Price for quality is a bit high. But nice environment. A Lil unsafe for children my niece fell of the high chair thingy and no one really knew have handle an emergency like that.

My pasta was hard, so it was undercooked. I heard a father a few down tell his waiter that his kids did not like the pasta. The waitress took a long time. Our time at the restaurant could have been cut in half. Nothing flowed well. Place was not packed.

We’e eaten in and taken out. Service and food both times had good elements but also surprisingly bad ones for a somewhat pricy place. Takeout pizzas ready when we arrived for pickup, but salads took another 10 min or so. Weird. If you have hot and cold dishes, why not make the cold first, since they can wait without problem. As it was, salads were good, but pizzas tepid when we finally got the order. Unfortunately, pizzas also overcooked, with tasty ingredients offset by awful crust ranging from leathery to hard.

Food was great, the host Mike was not. He was very confrontational, talked back and made the experience confusing when he just walked away while we weren't done ordering. Didn't asked questions just assumed things and left. I dont know if he was just being petty but we had to go up and ask for the receipt because he didnt bother coming around despite our plates being stacked and obviously ready to leave. Would love to come back if the host was different.

BLUF: Food was good, service was poor. 3 stars Was sadly disappointed with our recent experience at CPK. The place wasn't very busy but it took almost 30 min just to take our order and we didn't get our food until an hour after sitting down. I couldn't order the one thing I wanted off the menu because their delivery didn't come in with the ingredients so I had to choose something else. We all finished our drinks but didn't get offered refills until we finally asked for them and a drink I ordered didn't get delivered until after the food came and I asked for my drink.

The waitstaff was great. The restaurant was nice. The only issue I had was my food order. I ordered the Kung Pao Spaghetti and I was very disappointed with the serving size. I was still hungry after my dinner. At $22.00 I was expecting a lot more. They serve it in an overly large plate to make it seem like you're getting a good portion but it really isn't that much.

The food its definitely worth it, buttttt the wait time for service its really slow, the place its small and dont have enough employees to provide fast service for a friday busy night.

I ordered the ROASTED GARLIC CHICKEN pizza and the pizza and chicken was very dry. It was as if there was only enough cheese on the pizza to make the toppings stick to the crust.

My first time at California Pizza kitchen and it was disappointing. First, we waited over an hour for our group due to a misunderstanding. When we were finally seated, we waited 30 minutes for a server. We ordered a vegetable salad and a pizza. The salad was okay and the pizza was cold and tasteless. Since we waited so long, we didn't complain about the pizza. The bill was rather high for the quality and the long wait. We're not returning there.

The complimentary bread was not worthwhile. It took us almost 10 minutes to be seated due to no one attending the front counter. The chicken Bahn mi salad I ordered was not good at all other than the actual greens. It needed more peanut sauce and the chicken was cold, dry and unseasoned. This salad would have been way better without the chicken or better yet just cook the chicken and it'll elevate the dish. It also took us forever to leave this place.

Had dinner there about an hour ago. Our server was polite and the appetizers were tasty. The trouble was with the kitchen. I ordered a Thai crunch salad with chicken on the side as I am a vegetarian but my husband likes to share some of the salad (with chicken on his). So I'm eating my salad and I find a bunch of chicken mixed in at the bottom, and some pieces are too tiny to even pick out. I lost my appetite after that. I did think it was strange when my salad arrived late (after the other dishes) with soggy crunch noodles and then the chicken arrived even later with pieces of lettuce in it... Yeah put those puzzle pieces together. So they were apparently picking out my chicken but they did a bad job. Thank goodness I don't have allergies or anything. If they think that it is okay to do that with my food then they are definitely doing it to other peoples food as well. This uses to be a place I liked, but I am not planning on ever setting foot in there again.

I have lived in California all my life so I was like why not try California Pizza Kitchen. The menu was expensive for being a casual diner but I ordered the BBQ chicken pizza. It was okay kinda burned and there was only about 10 pieces of chicken spread throughout the entire pizza. Two of the slices did not even have chicken! Service was slow but it looked a but understaffed so I didn’t mind too much, it was a Monday night. When I paid my bill I gave exact change so I could get exact cash back and they kept it… it was only a little more than what I was planning to tip but cmon I gave the exact cents for a reason! That is what upset me but eh it’s all young workers and maybe they needed the tips? The pizza was more than I would’ve paid for so I guess thats why I was upset about my change. I don’t think I will be coming back because it’s expensive for what it is but it was okay.

The two times I have been here, the service has been garbage. No smiles, barely attentive, we had to ask for multiple things that would otherwise have been brought if the wait staff had an ounce of thoughtfulness (ie, napkins)... I get why this company is struggling. The food is amazing, but the staff makes the whole experience miserable. I'd rather spend a fraction to have some other pizza delivered to my house.

I dont like posting negative reviews, but on this occasion, I feel compelled to. Anyhow, I thought I'd give this location another try since I love the menu at CPK and it's close to my house. In a nutshell, the last couple visits were basically lackluster. I found the staff to be very mediocre and not that attentive. It took a while for our food to arrive on those occasions. Our last visit wasn't any different. Although our server was pleasant to deal with. I don't know what happened to the vibe of this location. When it first opened, the staff was better and it had a welcoming vibe. Perhaps a management change? In any event, I think my last visit will indeed be my last. I'll just have to make the trek to the Fashion Valley location to get my fix.

Midday visit. Pizza was good, but a bit pricey. Service a bit slow, but that may have been exaggerated due to the large table of very loud and rambunctious teenagers seated right next to us. Probably would have given four stars had the dining atmosphere been decent, was like eating in a high school cafeteria. Lesson learned... Never eat here shortly after high school lets out.

Let me say first that the Food is So good and Delicious . The service that i have received the last few times have been poor at the least. My Waiters lack the most basic of things to remember that we are customers are just because we are not a huge party does not mean you cannot come back and ask to refill our drinks and how are food is. 3 times is enough with this place and my friends have also experience this. Personally i will NOT recommended it anymore. It seams the staff is focus on bigger table for bigger tips when they don't sever or put attention to the customer equally. Such a shame this place taste so good, This location is not its best.

Things have really changed at CPK and not for the better. It has been a while since dining at this location. When shown to our table, the hostess left before I could inform her of food on the seat which I ended up cleaning myself. Ordered two drinks and noticed the glasses were not the cleanest as they appeared to have some sort of film on them. We received complimentary bread with two small plates. I handed one plate to my friend and took the other as I noticed mine had stains. Tried to wipe it off with a napkin to no avail. I ended up scratching the food stains off of it with the butter knife. We ordered chicken Alfredo pasta which was way undercooked, making the pasta tough to eat. Portions are also extremely smaller than what they used to be and prices are of course higher. We had every intent of ordering dessert when we walked in, but we changed our minds after our experience. We’re not the type of folks that return food but will definitely not return to this establishment again. The only positive was that our waitress was extremely friendly and attentive.

We ordered a veggie pizza with *no mushrooms* and what we received was a mushroom pizza with veggies and extra mushrooms This was ordered through the Uber app and I was told by the restaurant over the phone that they cannot issue a refund or replacement and I must take it up with Uber. This seems like a ridiculous set up, how is one supposed to receive refunds for errors on orders. My friend was really disappointed because she has an intolerance to mushrooms so therefore has been left hungry and pizzaless. I have attached photos for evidence of the level of mushroom this pizza contained. Mario's mushroom kingdom was baron in comparison. If the rating was on a scale of 1 to 5 mushroom,. my review would be a solid 5 star. Otherwise, good pizza

Ask for a Bbq chicken pizza with NO onions. Well I received one with a full dose of juicy onions. Then the dude kind of tripped out when I told him. No big deal. I ended up getting a ham and pineapple which was very dry. The kids pizza looked like a piece of cardboard with a splash of sauce. No Parmesan cheese or crushed red peppers any where in sight. This place could use new lighting maybe some color anywhere! The music was great. I recommend going to another pizza place. I still have a 20% tip regardless.

You can sit at the bar,,, but they will not come to take your order for a beer let alone a pizza. 5 minutes waisted. 😥

Disgusting and unacceptable! We used to love their food but this was nasty. We had take out and the total bill for only two of us was $78.04. The dumplings were smashed like someone sat on them. My Spinach tequila chicken fettuccine had literally 6-7 small pieces of quarter size chicken. Not worth the money. Spend your money at Cheese Cake Factory instead for pasta.

Me and my daughter went to CPK after the movies tonight around 5:45pm on a Thursday. We were seated within 2 minutes but no one came to the table. There were waiters and waitresses around the restaurant conversing with each other, one even asked the table behind me if they were interested in dessert. Although there was a large party in the restaurant, they had already finished eating and were waiting for the check. After 15 minutes with no one even coming to the table to get a drink order or say hello, we left. This was unacceptable, horrible customer service.

Went to dinner on Friday. They never brought out bread. Two different breads becs we ordered several items! No water was served. Although we did get the drinks we ordered. The male bartender was super rude to us. And about a month ago I went on a Friday to eat and they brought out two different breads. That is why I know we were missing bread... I'll never go back.

I previously left an amazing review for this CPK location. However, my experience today was quite the opposite. My daughter and I went there for dinner. We were seated after about 20 minutes and told that a server would be with us. Mind you, the restaurant was not too busy at that time. A total of 15 minutes passed by before we were even acknowledged by a server. Another family was sat next to us, and within a minute was approached by a server to get their drink/appetizer orders. I’m not sure why this type of service was shown today, but I can’t understand why we sat waiting for 15 minutes while another party was addressed almost immediately.

What a disappointment. After 3 great reviews I had to gave this business today a real bad one . Not about the food because it was great,but the lack of organization they had and the lack of courtesy towards their customers. I went on Tuesday night with my family party of 7, 2 were kids. I order an appetizer an requested for this to come before the food,well surprise our food came together and our kids food didn't arrive until we were done with our food and because I asked for it. Well I got a bit upset and requested to speak with manager,and the feedback I got was he couldn't control the kitchen and he barely say anything. I got the impression he didn't care. That is unacceptable attitude towards a customer. He could teach or have the server let the customer know the kitchen is a bit slow or whatever reason to let the customer aware so no confusion happens. So in short unprofessional to the point of almost disrespectful towards the customer. Remember we pay for your salary ,no customers means no money ,no money store closes every one loses their jobs. Hope you improve the service.

Skip it. We love CPK, any location but this one. Mediocre on previous visits, but recently the final straw. Terrible service, forgot to bring drinks, never brought the coffee we ordered. No refill offered on sodas. My pizza was burnt, barely any topping on it anyway. No apologies for any of it, save the manager rushing up as we left to thank us for the visit. Meaningless gesture, please just train and supervise your staff. As this is not an inexpensive restaurant, and since other locations are so good, customers deserve so much better.

Sonia and Alex, two of the worse managers when it comes to handling their stuff with a little empty. Make sure they go through a customer and ethical process, before becoming a "manager "

I've never walked off at a restaurant before but I've walked out of this place twice now. The first time I was seated and didn't get service. The place wasn't busy so after about 15 minutes I just walked out. The second time I walked out my party was ignored before we were seated. Again, it wasn't busy. The staff seemed completely apathetic in all accounts. The place nextdoor is great though!

9/1/24 5pm visit We had eaten here a few times recently and had better staff and food than our first visit. Ordering 2 meals, and 2 plates of bread we were not as full as we should have been for $45+. Today we walked in after a movie and was told 20 minutes to be seated. I looked around and there were way more empty tables than full. The bench inside and out were both occupied. I use a cane and my son is disabled and would prefer to sit rather then stand for waiting. So we walked next door and found excellent pizza, about 2x the weight of here as the crust wasn't paper thin and lots of cheese.... And a lower price and higher quality. I'd had assumed a place with Pizza in it's name would have quality pizza. So we found our new spot and am much more full with ordering the same items, and no bread as filler. Best of luck CA Pizza Kitchen. How do you offer a thin crust when your regular crust is already paper thin??? You should really have a regular crust as an option, as your standard crust is already a thin crust. Ordered no mushrooms as always, they put extra on.... The last 3 visits we did eat in, the staff were wonderful. Our first 2 visits the staff were not decent. If next door ends up with a wait time we may be back, but unlikely. The place could use a deep clean, many tables are sticky from the coating not being cleaned properly. Give Stanley Steamer a call!!
