I hadn't found a place in Mexico City where you could try Chimpaneca food, and this place surprised me quite a bit. What you definitely have to try is the guava atole. The tamales are also their strong suit. They also have a wide variety of items on the menu at a good price.

We were surprised. The place is small but clean and well-appointed. The staff is very attentive, friendly, and prompt. They have a great breakfast menu with many options, and the best part is a package with fruit and a drink. They have excellent, very traditional seasoning. We highly recommend the "Los Pumpos" casserole; it's delicious, a cozy, and quite generous dish. Their mole is also very sweet and spicy. The atole and champurrado are delicious, made with natural fruit. For my taste, they're a little sweet, but I think they're fine for those who don't like sweet things. They also have traditional Chiapas tamales, such as "El Chiapaneco," a delicious tamales with mole, olives, plums, and pork, which is also quite generous.

They have a very extensive and reasonably priced breakfast menu, which includes coffee, tea, or champurrado, and juice or fruit. You can also buy tamales de bola, chipilín, mumo, and other varieties. The place is very cozy, lively on weekends, and the service is excellent. I recommend the enchiladas de la abuelita; the mole is delicious.

We had a great dining experience at Los Pumpos; all the food was delicious, the mole was sweet, and the atmosphere was very Chiapas-like. Breakfast includes fruit and atole, champurrado, or coffee. We were even served breakfast until 1 pm. The only downside was that some tamales took a while to arrive, but overall, I would definitely go back. Parking is very difficult in the surrounding area, but there is a parking lot almost directly across the street.

Excellent food. The service could be better; sometimes the order isn't clear. The location is unbeatable, with good music and a backdrop of Chiapas's ambiance and landscapes.

Perhaps it was hunger or the desire to try new flavors that prompted us to come to this place on a recommendation, and what a surprise! The menu is short but full of flavor, the place has enough tables, and that day I didn't have to wait in line. I recommend going if you're eager to try different flavors and try some of the dishes on the menu. It's very close to the Portales metro station, heading towards Taxqueña. If you're traveling by car, you'll have to find a spot in the surrounding streets.

I was taken there with a tour guide. I loved it. I ordered chilaquiles chiapaneco and it was finger licking good. I would like to try the other specialties as well, as they seem to have a very large menu. The staff was friendly and efficient and we were served very promptly.
