There is something for everyone at Nola's from a deliciously simple burger or fish fry with a cold draft beer ... to bespoke handmade cocktails and gourmet plates with the freshest ingredients. The staff are gracious and welcoming to all.

Amazing experience, outdoor patio to enjoy the beautiful tapas. We had the nova Scotia clams and the cheese board, this was more than enough to share for two, accompanied by tasty cocktails. The food was great and the service was excellent!

Ordered Nola's today after a disappointment at Alteri's. I had the burger and at first I thought it was kind of pricy for the few ingredients in the burger. I was amazed by how great it tasted and the fries matched the burger even better. My food came hot and smelling great. They should be proud! I will definitely return to Nola's and so should you. Excellent food if you decide to spend some.

This might be the fanciest place I've eaten at in a long time. To be honest, I was probably underdressed for the occasion... Otherwise, the food was good, the service was fantastic, and it's maintained the same quality for more than a decade.

Went for a birthday dinner. 4 rounds of drinks, appetizers, dinners and desserts... so the whole enchilada. First the appetizers were killer. We had the grapefruit carpacio and the shrimp and lobster hot pot. Never realized how amazing grapefruit can be with almond butter and endive. The hot pot was chef kiss perfect with the ginger coconut curry. Bestie had the salmon (excellent) and I had the chicken schitznel (perfectly cooked and the potato salad was banging). Desserts were top notch for the bourbon pecan pie and the dark chocolate pot de creme. Drinks were cranberry sangria, pear mule, 2 rounds of the white grape cosmos (amazing) and a round of the Mexican espresso martini with dessert. All drinks were awesome with the cosmos for the win. Server paige was great. She was pretty busy with the bar but did a great job. We love Nolas and really like going there for big events to really enjoy the evening.

Every dish our party ordered had was inventively prepared. Especially the sides. From the duck to the steak to halibut, and the desserts, very tasty.

Nola's is by far my favorite restaurant in CNY. Chef Janssen is a true artist, especially when it comes to taking seemingly simple ingredients and elevating them into a delicious experience. While the menu changes seasonally, recent favorites have included a roasted carrots appetizer (w/ hummus, dill, pistachio oil, etc.), coconut zucchini fritters (w/ chile mango salad and palm sugar dipping sauce), and fried green tomatoes (w/ goat cheese and a deliciously spicy/tangy chow chow). Everything is always seasoned to perfection. Nola's, more than any other restaurant I can think of in the region, knows how to treat ingredients with the respect they deserve and highlight their flavors in unique ways. Steph, the bartender, crafts cocktails that are among the best I've tasted (including those I've had in world-class cocktail cities like NYC and Montreal). She uses a variety of homemade tinctures/bitters/syrups, which means that the unforgettable cocktails at Nola's simply can't be enjoyed elsewhere. On top of that, the owners are legitimately great people who do an exceptional job of community-building and creating a welcoming atmosphere for everyone. From supporting the CCS GSA to hosting pop-ups for local artisans to participating in community festivals, Nola's is doing good work that goes well beyond serving food. Clinton is so lucky to have Nola's.

This place was such an incredible discovery! We were in town visiting, and stopped in late for dinner. We were promptly seated and had delicious appetizers as we sipped some great wine. I’d highly recommend the shrimp bisque and the arugula burrata salad. Overall, this restaurant features the seasonal freshness that this part of New York in June offers, fabulous meal!

This place is one of the prices of Clinton. Always have great meals, drinks, and laughs and fun at this place. The staff is always 5 out 5 stars!!! The owners have really been consistently growing and delivering a wonderful culinary experience. I really enjoy each and every time I have been here. It's one of those gems that you should go out of your way to find and enjoy. Tonight I had the most amazing succulent turkey pesto meatballs. Man I could have eaten that all day. It really just melted in your hungry mouth. This is totally the place to get amazing drinks too. This is just one cool place to hang out and go out. I definitely feel that the focus one quality and professionalism is always constant. This place continues to impress me and is ever evolving. I hope they stick around for a very lone time.

One of my favorite local restaurants. I've never had a bad meal there. I love their portion sizes, you can actually eat your dinner and not have to cart around or throw out leftovers (I hate doing that, especially if on a date). The newer decor is really cute and on-trend with a rustic/urban feel. And their drinks are great, I really enjoyed the chocolate martini.

Love this place! Came here recently for the first time and ordered the short rib papardelle. It was so good I came back again the next week for more! Everyone enjoyed their meal, and my friend said the salmon was the best salmon she ever had. I'll be back for that next :)

An exceptional restaurant. I recommend sitting at the chef's bar/counter where you can watch the executive chef make the magic happen. Freshest ingredients mixed in ingenious ways. Both texture and flavors were excellent in the 4 dishes we tried. Try the small plates - great value!

The food is incredible here. Some of the appetizers were a tad odd sounding to me personally but I ended up liking the ones I tried. The cook pays attention to how you want your meat cooked if you order anything with beef. It is a small place and can be very difficult to get a table during peak hours. Highly recommend making a reservation as the place is always full to the brim during evening mealtimes. There is also a great selection of craft beers available. Expect a small menu packed full of great flavors

I have been coming to Nola's since they FIRST opened and love it even more every time I come here! The Tuscan Turkey sandwich is my personal favorite for lunch, and honestly, anything on the menu for dinner is amazing. I love the seasonal menu changes, and how they support local business! I recently had my Bridal Shower here and was so blown away at everything Leah did for us!! Nola's is the PERFECT spot for an intimate private party. Leah went absolutely above and beyond in helping us plan for the Shower. She took care of renting table runners, located splits of Prosecco for our party favors, and was just incredibly accommodating overall. She put so many little touches into the day that seriously meant so much to me. She matched the chalkboard outside to my shower invitations, and even printed menus for the brunch. The staff is ALWAYS friendly and professional, and I can't say enough good things about Nola's. I can't wait to have another party, or just dinner there again!! Thank you all for everything!!!!

We had an amazing experience at Nola’s. I was in contact with Leah and we planned a limited menu for a party of 6 to celebrate some milestones in our family. She was very easy to work with and responsive. We were greeted very warmly when we arrived and everything was perfect from start to finish. The appetizers we discussed ahead of time arrived promptly. Among other things was an amazing charcuterie board! Our server, April was extremely professional in anticipating our needs and making the timing perfect. We enjoyed every bite and the night was very special.

This was our second night in this area. We were completely unfamiliar with everything but stumbled on Nola’s because we love good food. It did not disappoint. We did not have a reservation but they were friendly & accommodating. They offered we could wait at their sister site, No One’s Rival, while we waited. They were able to seat us earlier than expected & the food, atmosphere, & service by Caity, was fantastic. Caity was friendly & catered to our needs. We look forward to dining here again now that our son has relocated to the area.

Nola's has been my go-to restaurant and cocktail bar in the area for all of my celebrations and lamentations for 5+ years. I've celebrated anniversaries, holidays, promotions, and everyday joys with this staff. I've eaten my share in comfort food, ranging from eggplant parm to the newest sweet potato and peanut stew. (My spouse and I are lactose-intolerant vegetarians and have always found something hearty and delicious to eat at Nola's!) And the cocktails are a full sensory experience, complete with handcrafted syrups, bitters, garnishes, and mists! The best part, though, is the staff who create a beautiful and warm space, who welcome you home again and again. When my father passed, the staff even sent a beautiful and completley unexpected bouquet of flowers. I love this space and this family, and you will too!

What a terrific evening at Nola’s. Ate at the bar and the service from Caity was outstanding. All the food and drinks were excellent. We had no reservation and the got us in quickly. Cannot wait to return!

Went here for Valentine’s Day with my girlfriend. She had a cherry bomb cocktail, I had an athletic NA beer. We split the Brussels sprouts appetizer which was delicious, I had the duck and she had the chicken Nola, both of which were just perfection. We’ll be back for sure ! Total pre tip was $133.

I live in NYC and came to Nola’s while visiting colleges with my nephew, also from a big city, who was also blown away by the dinners we had here. My nephew was surprised at the calibre of food in this small town, but having grown up in Central NY myself, I told him there are top notch places up here, and Nola’s is the leader of the pack. The risotto was amazing as well as the other well-prepared dishes. The ambiance is friendly and we had a great time. I’ll definitely be back when I’m next in town.

Leah always gives me the best table in the restaurant I swear!!! I brought two friends to No One’s Rival for the first “Sunday Sauce” dinner previewing potential menu items for a new restaurant set to open in Hamilton. We all loved our food, the white bean salad & focaccia, espresso gelato, and pavlova with lemon curd and fresh berries were exceptional. The special wine for the Italian night was also amazing and the non-alcoholic spiced apple Moscow Mule was AMAZING. Steph & the rest of the bar team make great cocktails/mocktails year round. Nola’s knows how to get me in the door basically every week with their daily specials and seasonal menu changes. This dinner and their Valentine’s Day dinner (the chocolate fondue specifically) were especially awesome. They know me by my voice when I call to make a reservation & I love their lunch and dinner menu, worth a visit for any occasion.

If I could sum up my perfect dining experience by using one name, it would be Nola’s. It’s brick and cozy with perfect lighting… a small, quaint spot in a charming, picturesque town. The service was great… the staff, kind. The two of us ordered half the menu, but still can’t decide which plate was the best. The combination of flavors and textures was spot on and they know how to cook a steak perfectly. I can’t wait to go back and try the other half of the menu. Highly recommend Nola’s.

My friend and I popped in to grab takeout for lunch today. We both got the salmon nicoise. When I tell you we both inhaled it when we got back to our office - oh man. Everything was made perfectly. It honestly was one of the best things I may have ever eaten. HIGHLY RECOMMEND. Even for takeout, it was a 5 star meal. Wish I had more. But even the portion was perfect. We had coffee while we waited that was delish too. I have been going to Nolas for dinner on and off, but lunch will be a definite go to from now on.

Longtime Nola's customer here and they never disappoint! Every dish is outstanding, every drink is amazing, the atmosphere is upbeat and welcoming yet also has the feeling of a nice restaurant. The food and drinks combine high-quality ingredients with creativity and whimsy, all while still somehow giving you a sense of comfort food. It's hard to explain, so just go try it! Oh and the icing on the cake is that the owners are incredibly kind, friendly, and very helpful if you have any food allergies or specific food needs. Great place to find vegetarian dishes too. Nola's is my go-to restaurant and never disappoints!

Recently, I had my choice of any restaurant to celebrate my birthday, and I chose Nola's. As usual they did not disappoint. Chicken Cutlet was amazing and of course ended up stealing the Steak Nicholas from my husband's plate! Specialty cocktails were unique & delicious. (Don't judge I had 2 maybe 3). They were so busy, yet we got seated right away. The appetizer, main entree and dessert is perfectly spaced. You don't sit around twiddling your thumbs and yet you don't feel rushed with staff hovering. After dinner we went next door to Noone's Rival. Incredible service and cocktails with a great vibe! I look forward to the next time!!

Nola's is literally one of my favorite restaurants ever. My husband and I go there a few times a month (sometimes more) for dinner and they NEVER disappoint. When I walk in there, I feel like I'm walking into a friend's home. Everyone is always so kind and accommodating and the food is absolutely delicious. They are an incredible member of our Clinton community and donate so much of their time and money to help with fundraising efforts for my students like GSA, Positivity Project as well as the Kindness Closet and much more! I’ve been dining at Nola’s for close to 8 years and it just keeps getting better. Whenever we have family or friends in town and want to impress them, Nola’s is our go-to. Last weekend we brought friends and every meal was fantastic but I highly recommend the Short Rib Pappardelle. We had plenty of food and enough that I brought some home for lunch the next day. Lunch, brunch, dinner, & cocktails – you can’t go wrong.

This is a cute little restaurant in Clinton, NY. Its food changes often - yet is always extraordinary. Staff is profession and polite. Easy to find parking nearby. One of Utica's best fine dining experiences. Recommend setting reservations ahead of time. Perfect for those visiting from out of town. Highly recommend.

I was plasantly surprised by a $5 lunch deal intended for students. The pick 3 meal was satisfactory. The value and portions were reasonable and the large line moved quickly. HOWEVER I was appalled at the lack of lemon in the complimentary water jug. The water source continue to disappoint when I left the building with no lid on my water cup. Having food in the left hand and balancing water in the right made the chivilrous act of holding the door open inconcievable.therefor this minor oversight yeilded a deficient procurement of girlfriends and now I will die alone. Thanks nolas. 4 stars would bachlor again

Great spot for a date or a cozy work dinner. Not a place to bring your kids for dinner. Great cocktails and fantastic service. Downgrading the review because I took a colleague for lunch and they couldn't even make a decent vegan salad. I got a ($17) bowl of kale and walnuts drowning in vinegar. Kinda bonkers there's nothing vegan on the menu, not even a salad? I really love Nola's and I'm glad they are doing well, but a decade ago it was a solid place to get lunch. I'm really disappointed by my recent visit.

It was nice. The food was good. People were attentive. The atmosphere was ok, nothing that special, but we sat at the bar, so may not have gotten the complete feeling. The menu was somewhat unique. Prices are a little high, but what restaurant isn't. I would go again.

Nolas is fun and hip but that does not excuse the need for making food that is REALLY good and not just OK. I had a Reuben. Not great, regular bread, no Thousand Island sauce, just like they were trying to do something hip, but had anybody tasted this sandwich????. Needs someone who really knows what they are doing.

I like Nola's. The bar is nice to sit at, and the service is really good. Quite pleasantly surprised after I found it in Clinton. Update: reduced one star as its closed most of the time. Can't taste the moderately good food if it's closed. Reply to the owner: Exactly! taking out food from a $$$ restaurant is not quite the same experience! If I want to enjoy the ambience of my dining room with good food, I can cook it myself!

Ended up going to Nola's on a whim. It had been quite some time since we were there last and remembered everything being good. There was almost no one in the restaurant or at the bar, it seemed like a relatively slow Thursday. It took about 5 minutes for someone to come over and seat us, after seated another 5-10 minutes before we were even offered water or a drink menu. After looking over the drink menu we ordered a couple glasses of wine and an appetizer. We ordered the Crab spring rolls which came out very quickly. We sat and looked at those for another 10 minutes waiting for our waitress to come back so we could ask for plates and silverware. My spring roll had no crab at all and my fiance's had a few pieces - for a $14 appetizer my expectations were higher. We then both ordered burgers which came out in a reasonable amount of time, they were cooked just as ordered and the fries were great. About halfway through my meal I was out of Wine and the waitress did not come back once to check on us. I got sick of waiting and walked up to the bar to order a drink. The bartender happily obliged and 15 minutes later I had my drink... For the $100 price tag for a meal I expect more, much more. We have another gift card and I don't think we'll be back to use it...

What i seen On the internet, versus what i got. I really Think it was chicken and not even duck. Went for my birthday, and the service was good and friendly but just wasn’t what i expected.

Visited in February of 2018. I'm migrating reviews from another platform to here. This place was pretty aggressively average. The food seemed to be sourced well, but the ambiance was poor, the waitstaff was pretty bad, and honestly a little rude, and the food was all pretty sub-par. Along with 30% too high prices, I think I'll pass on coming here again. Edit: The owner responded just after my review and it seems like the service is probably still pretty bad, or at least rude. Visit at your own risk.

Tried to go for lunch on a Saturday. The hours on google and the front door of the restaurant indicated they were open. Door was even open. But no, no lunch on Saturdays. Glad to see they've updated the hours on google since then. Don't get me wrong, I've eaten here before and enjoyed the food but the service never seems to be guest focused.
